I took my car to get an inspection at kwik kar on Hebron and old Denton. They told me I needed to replace the parking brakes and would cost $200. So, I called speedee and talked to a very nice gentleman named Karim. He suggested I bring it by so he can look at it. Himself and another mechanic tested it and said there was nothing wrong with the brakes and were working fine. They replaced a yellow bomb and did the inspection in 10 minutes. The woman upfront was extremely professional and very sweet. Ill reccomend speedee to everyone and theyll continue to have my service.

WORST OIL CHANGE experience I have ever been had. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. RUDE RUDE RUDE. If I could give zero stars I would.I spoke to manager about my oil leak, and he said to go to dealership to get fixed, so I told him we would wait and let dealership change the oil. But it was too late they had already drained the oil out of my car. So I was talking to lady in office about using cheaper oil, but it was too late for that too they had already put synthetic oil in and so I had to pay for synthetic. He was very very rude the whole time I was there, and when finished he slammed my car hood down and told me not to come back. TERRIBLE SERVICE.His response below says it all. I rest my case.

My daughters car had no issues with her car and went in just for oil change and tire rotation. The called her telling her they placed it on the diagnostic machine though we didnt need that. Said it was the fuel pump and quoted my daughter 75.00 for the work. He also said she needed brakes which would be 250.00 she said she couldnt afford that but could afford the fuel pump for 75.00. When we went to pick it up the bill was 833.00. He denied the quote of 75.00 and said he said 750. If my daughter couldnt afford 250.00 why woukd she say yes to 750.00. I asked to see the old part since she wasnt having mechanical issues with her car. We filed a police report for a complaint. We came up with the money and paid for the work. The invoice doesnt show the diagnostic work at all. When i questioned it they said they waived it if the work is done. I asked it should be on the invoice. Also asked why the code it displayed isnt mentioned he said we could get with dealership to get the history codes. They dont print or have report to show what the diagnostic machine said the code was. We have filed a police report..taking this to court and getting the phone records to show this place is unethical and did work that was not needed.

I love these guys! They are a small shop and I know whos working on my car. They work quickly, and give me clear information about what needs to be done before they do it and they understand that sometimes you might have enough money to do all of the repairs now. Any time Ive been in that situation, theyve been happy to tell me what needs to be done right away and what can wait. They stand behind their warranties and they do a great job.

Had the annual state inspection done today. The attendant was friendly, checked the tires for air, and all done quickly just as advertised. Afterwards I went next door to Speedee and got a Wednesday special car wash at Star Wash. So handy to be able to get the inspection and a wash in one trip.

I have been a long time customer here in this location because their services are excellent. Effective, fast, honest, price reasonable. The owner Nita, the staffs Eric and Angie all are very nice. The technician Shane is awesome and honest. I have several problems in my car but he quote me the price and gave me honest suggestion instead of trying to get me to do everything that not necessary. I really appreciated this. I feel very safe and trust them to serve my car. I will always come back here even i need to drive far away from my home to here after i moved.

Had a bad experience with owner after the services they perfom on my truck. I was trying to make them aware of the the sensor issue on the tire which they just fix. The sensor was not reading it properly and after I was trying to make them aware the owner got mad and was clearly not ready to accept any blame for faulty services. He got extremely mad and was raging with anger and ask me to leave. It is a small shop and they dont stand behind with their work. So be careful...I feel extremely insulted by the owner behavior

I came for an inspection and oil change. The oil change was fine but they told me they couldnt pass my inspection unless I paid them to replace the serpentine belt for my trucks accessories. I told them Id prefer to do it myself. And after they argued with me a while about the Texas DPS Inspection Requirements I just told them Id take the vehicle somewhere else more knowledgeable for an inspection and they gave me pretty dirty looks. Highly unprofessional.Id be more forgiving if they hadnt told me my battery was dead because they couldnt get my truck to start. They were trying to start the car with the shifter halfway park and neutral. I showed them how to make sure its in park and started the truck up.For clarification. a drive belt is not on the Texas DPS list of items a mechanic is allowed to fail a vehicle inspection for. Its mechanic corruption and we need to report it Everytime we see it.

Super fast! I went in for an oil change. We use synthetic so that was 75$ then I needed an air filter $25 (They showed me mine and I did need one) changing an air filter in my car is super easy and the filter only cost 10 at AutoZone. 150% mark up for the part and the extra minute of labor seems a bit excessive, I should have looked into that before I said yes. That is the only reason they are a 4star instead of a 5 star..

Got my inspection and an oil change here. It’s a bit over priced. Only one person was wearing a mask during a global pandemic and one guy was smoking a cigarette. I thought about leaving but gave them a try. So far, no problems. Hopefully I didn’t contract anything!

Do what a customer ask to their car or just do anything at all.In two different situations they have done opposite of what we needed. 1st time we asked for a tire rotation on a C230. you expect a ASE Certified tech to know that on a 2006 C230 you have two different size of tires and you cannot rotate from front to back, that error cost us about a thousand in repairs That was a few years back so I again figured ( MY MISTAKE) that since its been a while I give this location an opportunity since the location is conveniently placed for our company. I sent one of my drivers there with instructions in what type of oil specifically we needed. when the car got there the tech called me to ask specifics as to the reason why I needed that. He told me they didnt have that oil and I ask him not to do the oil change to please send my car back. To my surprise they went ahead and did an oil change on the car, and sent me an explanation of what the oils viscosity was. I really didnt want an explanation of type of oil. I just needed an oil change with the oil I asked. Since I am the one paying for it. I called and explained to the owner that it was not a matter of cost its was a matter of doing opposite of what it was asked from them. The owner response was they did the oil change and that was that and that they didnt want to do business with us again. Well that brings me to this review. I hope that $42 oil change equals to the loss of business revenue of a fleet of 15 cars. Just do what a customer ask or just dont do it. dont just do what you want and expect the owner to pay for something he didnt asked. Its a shame that a local business would rather do what they want and not what the customer asked for STAY AWAY

If I could give ZERO stars to this place, I would! First, last year my boyfriend took my car here to get an oil change, they didnt put the under body engine cover back on properly...it came off while i was driving!! Secondly, they didnt put the oil cap on properly another time when I got an oil change, all of the oil came out. Finally, my boyfriend got his oil changed this past weekend (mind you, his car has been running JUST fine, he only needed an oil change), his car started running hot later than day. On top of that, when he arrived, he walked in, they didnt ask him what he needed, just walked out the door as if he was invisible.This place is terrible, I WILL NEVER go back here! I have NEVER had an issue at SpeeDee oil Change on Montfort near Spring Valley in Dallas. I have been going to the Montfort location for over 7 years. I just thought i would try to support my local location thats in my neighborhood. NEVER again!!!

I got charged 93$ for an Oil Change. Yeah try anywhere else for a cheaper price. They were nice service wise but 93$ for an oil change is a rip off.

Had a flat tire, luckily it happened couple of doors down from Midas. Went in, the guy told me there’s an hour wait, but he’ll see if he can squeeze us in. He pulled the car in for the mechanic to check it out, came back out within 15 mins, showed us the culprit (a big screw) and told us we’re all set! Patched up and ready to go. I went to get my oil change on Friday because a red symbol started to appear. I met a nice mechanic name Eric who was very knowledgeable. He just didnt tell me what the problem was, he showed me. The staff was very nice and thanks.

This business misquoted me for a oil change. After oil was change they provided me total different price. He locked my car in the garage I called the police when arrived they informed me this was the second time doing this. This guy isnt dealing with a full deck. I wouldnt trust this business.

Brought my truck in for an oil change, they gave me my truck back with a shifter that sticks. Worked fine when I brought it in, ownership refused to take a look at the problem they caused, said it was impossible and gave me a BS example about its if you go somewhere and TV happens to stop working it is not your fault. If I take my tv to get repaired and they give it back with something else not working, it IS their fault. Ownership holds zero accountability for anything that happens to your vehicle in their care. Owner tried to charge me a diagnostic fee to find the problem that they caused. He did not even bring out the technician who worked on my truck to ask about the problem. Manager essentially called me a liar and said he did not need my business. Total class act. Brought personal truck, 3 company trucks, and coworkers vehicles here for years, wont be bringing any of them back.

My husband and I always have a great experience here! As much as i dont like spending money on car issues, I feel better about doing it in a location where I feel they are fair, honest, so nice and professional, and quick turnaround time! We take both our Hondas here for all needs and are always pleased. Most recently took our cars in for inspection, and i knew i also needed new wipers and headlights and they took care of it right away! Angie, i think is her name, is always there and so helpful and professional and its nice to see a familiar face every time i go in. This time Krystal also helped me and she was so helpful as well! I also appreciate it when i bring my car in for something, they inspect it all, and make suggestions for other issues that might come up but they do it in a way that doesnt scare me or pressure me, this gives me time to plan financially when i will get what done.. i definitely recommend this location!

If you are looking for an honest mechanic, go and speak with them.For Example:I took my vehicle to a dealership for a noise coming from the engine compartment (not the engine itself) and was informed that I was going to need an engine replacement for $5,500 because the oil pressure was below spec (no readings were provided by this dealership).Surprised by this, I took my vehicle to Marty as well as Kareem to have them confirm what I was told by this dealership. Turns out the oil pressure on my vehicle was not below spec but WELL ABOVE SPEC.Since they provided me the actual spec readings, I now have concrete information to get my money back from this dealership.THANK YOU SPEEDEE OIL CHANGE!!!

I would not recommend taking my car to this location for anything. They told me I needed a repair and that they would order the part from my car manufacturer and to come back in a week for installation. When I returned, they put in an off brand part that didnt fit or put it in wrong, charged me 5 times the cost and then when it caused my car to blow up 3 months later, said....too bad for you but its been too long. Then they said if I would bring them the defective part back that they would refund some money.... A part they paid about $40 for and charged me $228...but once they got the part refused to do that, as well. Oh, and while they were doing the replacement, they added other unnecessary charges to the bill for 2 GALLONS of coolant when there was no leak at $25 per gallon. And I have to take some of the blame as I should have gotten a second opinion before letting them pull the wool over my eyes. I was charged for 4 hours of labor which, after the fact I looked up and saw it should have been 1 hour. Maybe not too important in the big picture...their mechanic took change out of my car during the repair. I know...I wont go hungry because of that but it just speaks to the way they see their customers...AS GUINEA PIGS there for the taking!!!

Absolutely terrible service, took my car in awhile ago for an oil change only to find out that they put on an aftermarket oil pan/filter on that had a hole in it, on my wife’s car, causing oil to leak everywhere and leaving a burning oil smell anytime the vehicle was used. Had to pay $203 to get the pan replaced. Avoid this place at all costs. Walked inside to find an employee taking a nap on a bench where customers were supposed to be sitting. Completely unprofessional.

Very fast state inspection. Went in on Sunday morning at opening time. Got me right in and in about 15 minutes my inspection was done. Will go back for sure.

I am a loyal customer and Ive serviced my truck and two cars here. Ive never had any problems with customer service but I am very unhappy with being over charged $20 on a safety inspection. I brought in the head light bulb to be replaced so I wasnt over charged for that light. Needless to say they charged me $20 to put the bulb in. The whole inspection took five minutes so why charge me $20 for labor? Needless to say they have lost a loyal customer. Greedy!!!!

Im new to the area and needed to bring my Toyota Celica in this past weekend for an oil change. Great customer service and the oil change was one of the fastest I have EVER had. I expected to be here waiting for at least an hour, I think I was here for only 30 minutes. The technician who did my oil change brought to my attention the cabin air filter needed to be changed, which I appreciated and had changed. They checked all my fluids and tire pressure, this place goes the extra mile. Any place I had ever gone to in the past I would have to ask them to check those kind of things. Here its customary and is to be expected. They really take care of their patrons. I will continue to come back here! Today my boyfriend and I brought his Kia up here for an oil change, and again the service was fast! They checked all his fluids and went over everything with a fine tooth comb. I couldnt recommend this place any more! The women at the front desk are very helpful, polite and informative. They really know what they are talking about!

I had a good experience bringing my car here for a state inspection. Only complaint is they charged me $20 to change a $3 brake light bulb. But I was so eager to pass and get my inspection over with, I let it slide. They also had wifi available so I could work while I waited, which I appreciated.

PLEASE DONT GO HERE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY/TIME ELSE WHERE.I LEARNED MY LESSON.Long story short they charged me a different price than they had quoted.BE sure and try to get them to print something in BLACK AND WHITE to avoid over charges. most likely they wont do it. The two girls at the front desk didnt even want to print or at least email me what I was going to be charged for before paying them. I had to take a picture on my phone. The service I had to pay was $489 which I was quoted $390.My service included an oil change . PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR AN OIL CHANGE. My car now has a VERY bad BURNT OIL smell. And have had it for a few days. This was due to the guys there being LAZY and not doing their job correctly. my car has a catalytic converter (a burning hot device) right below the oil filter, so when they remove the filter oil drips on the converter and the driver is virtually guaranteed the burnt oil smell for a few days. BETTER OIL CHANGING PLACES will place something over the converter to deflect the dripping oil to avoid this problem!!!!!!!!

Very disappointing.Arrived there at 8:03AM, they were still setting up.8:06 i get greeted. They told me my brake pads would be $169 and i would get a diagnostic done in 30 minutes. AFter 1 1/2 hours of waiting, my new bill is now $655!!! what in the world!!?!?!?! AFter i stated my disappointment the older lady, probably the owner, insisted I needed my rotors replaced in order for me to be safe. I told her of course, that is why i brought my car in, but that is not my issue. My issue was their lack of communication. IF they would have told me my new estimate earlier, i would have been prepared and would have completed that job. They simply do not know how to do business. I would stay away from this place.

Oil change was fine, but three months later I discover my oil plug was hastily put back on, stripping the threads. Nobody ever mentioned this to me before going to SpeeDee. I am now at another shop getting my oil pan replaced for over $350 thanks to this.

Went in for a state inspection for my mustang and i was greeted quickly upon arrival. The technician asked me what he could assist me with today, i needed an inspection. He prompted me to leave vehicle in line and place insurance on the dash, and that he would get me out in about 20 minutes. About 12 minutes later, after being 2nd in line, I was in my car and on my way. Great and speedee service. I would definitely recommend this shop. There other services seemed pretty reasonable too.

State inspection and for a Saturday, it was very fast.

This review is very much overdue, but I dont want to just let it go. Be very cautious if you have any auto service done, other than an oil change, on your vehicle at this place. Back towards the end of February/beginning of March 2018, I was having some trouble with my 2006 Scion xB. It would no longer start. I was able to get it over to this SpeeDee location as they also advertise to be a Midas shop. They were able to get my car in right away and they determined it was my alternator and I needed a new one. They had one in stock and I was able to pick up my car that same day right before they closed that evening. It was a warm day so I went to turn on my A/C and I noticed that it was no longer blowing cold air. Now for a little history around my A/C unit. I had recently had my evaporator, compressor and condenser changed in my car and the A/C system had been blowing like new again. Well, not after my alternator was replaced. So I made a u-turn and went back to the SpeeDee shop to have them look at it. I spoke with a man who I think was the manager or possibly the owner of the shop and he immediately became defensive and almost didnt want to step outside to take a peek under the hood to see what the issue might be. As I opened the hood, a bolt fell out and landed on the ground. He passed that off as something that was already on the ground and became more and more defensive. Well, I left that shop without a working A/C. The following week I went by the shop where I had all my A/C work completed and they found the issue. That bolt that had fallen out was a piece off the A/C system. What they determined was that when the mechanic at SpeeDee was installing the alternator and had to adjust the pulley to get the belt tight, he rested the tool on one of the aluminum pipes coming off the A/C system and popped it out causing all the freon to leak out. I will say I have never had the chance to go back to that shop as my car was caught in a flood in Coppell, so it ended up getting totaled, but I still wanted to tell my story to warn those out there to be very cautious. In fact, I would recommend going elsewhere.

DO NOT USE THEM FOR MECHANICAL WORK!!!We have used Speedee in the past several times for oil-changes and state inspections without problems. This is why I took my car to them.The Car Problem: the AC in my vehicle quit workingShort Version: almost $700 later, minute improvement in air flower and loud noise (which was not there before), and a trip to another mechanic with another bill.Long Version:I took the vehicle in and said I think the blower motor may be out. Can you take a look? The attendant took my vehicle and I waited inside. The mechanic came back and said a blower motor is $283. I let him know I would talk with my husband and no work was done. The following day we dropped the vehicle off in the morning and was told we would receive a call when ready. I received a call saying they replace the blower motor and it is still not working. They said they need to replace the resistor which is and additional $311. We said, ok since apparently that would fix the vehicle. We arrive to pick up the vehicle later in the afternoon. Upon getting in the vehicle the air blows a little but does not increase with the controls. The noise increases but is extremely loud on high with little air output. We go back inside and let the desk lady know the car is not fixed. The mechanic came in and says he replace what we said to replace. Though we did not say replace the motor blower we said We THINK is it the blower, can you TAKE A LOOK?. He took the car to look at it on the initial day. He can back with the price of the blower therefore I figured that was the problem. A proper mechanic would take a look and say I do/do not think it is the blower. Can I run a diagnostic to check? It will cost ____ They even called me to say it was the resistor. Apparently these guys do not know how to problem solve or fix the problem . If I just needed a quote on the blower motor, why would he have needed to take my car? The mechanic should have looked at the problem and he did not. The work he did do was not done properly as the AC was very loud afterward which was not a problem before. We also spoke with the manager who interrupted when we were speaking. When told about the We think, can you take a look? comment his reply is they dont work that way. In the end he told us to leave the property rather than asking what a resolution would be. (The exact total was $680 which included the taxes and an inspection.)

Not sure if they got new management but the past five times Ive been here for preventive maintenance has been great. Karem, the manager, is very professional and I have been pleased with the service from all the staff.

Fair and honest auto shop. They did a great job on replacing my timing belt and even though they closed early on Sat, they stayed late to get the job done the same day.

Do not take your car here. When theyre unable to upsell you something, they get an attitude. I was there for 19 minutes and they did an oil change. Something told me to look at the old once I left, it was super dark as if it hadnt been changed. Took it back and the guy said your car is burning bbn oil. Dude youre a lie, no smell of oil burning, no leaks no problems. I will forever put up bad reviews and you make midas look horrible as Ill never go to another one of their centers either. Disgusting individuals even looked throughl my glove compartment and left all the stuff in there on the floor. Ive sent an email to corporate to complain about your shady practices too.
