I went to JNR Salon for a consultation about my locs and a retwist for them, which included a washing service. I ending up getting way better service than I was expecting. I traveled from my college down in Fredonia, NY to Buffalo and it was completely worth the trip. Their salon was so professional, official and aesthetically pleasing. It was like a hidden wonder of Buffalo. In my session there for my hair I was taught everything I truly needed to about my hair and how to take care of it in the future. I really needed to see a specialist, because I was at a point that I felt like I had to give up on locs. I didnt know how to truly how to take care of them or if they could be saved. Fortunately, I came to the right place and the stylist that I worked with - Gloria James, assisted me in educating me about my locs and she took care of them while doing so. From revealing to me why I was having breakage, how to reduce damage in the future, a regiment I need to follow to restore my health to what it could be, giving me a treatment to help my scalp and locs, restoring what locs she could in the time that she had and more. I found everything that I was looking for in my experience at this salon. I will gladly come back for another hair appointment in the future. I already have an appointment booked a month from now and Im dearly looking forward to it. Following my retwist I ended up buying a big bonnet that I could use while I was sleeping to protect my hair. I am very happy with that product as well. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a professional experience in hair care. Its worth the trip.

The owner Jennifer has been my hairstylist for 10+ years. Her salon is the cleanest and most affordable up-scale quality service you will receive in the city.She knows how to take care of natural hair like mine and keep it silky and healthy.Her personalized hair care bonnets are amazing fit without giving a headache. Used it in the shower with no humidity getting to my hair. Love her and love her services and products!

I went to JNR and was serviced by Jennifer. We did NouriTress treatment and trim, followed by a blowout and flat iron. That treatment was amazing from shampoo to condition. My hair was in rough shape. Jennifer is very professional, prompt, and she took time and patience to educate me on dos and donts of natural hair, particularly on products that cause more harm than help for my natural hair type.I was able to purchase her wrap brush- The Perfect Wrap Brush - sided brush that tightens and gives volume on the other side. I also purchased NouriTress hair moisturizer she has available.I am very happy as I can feel the difference of my hair. With Buffalos humidity- my hair still maintained moisturized and after only 1st treatment, I have less breakage!I am a very satisfied client!Thank you Jennifer!

I have been natural for 4 years and each time I went for a ponytail the way she has my hair honey listen 😍😍😍...my silk press are always the bomb and I’m never disappointed with my hair. Such a beautiful salon and atmosphere! Tamaris has been doing my hair for years its the healthiest its been since her hands have blessed my head! Clean location, wonderful staff and spacious. There is a reliable bathroom and pleasant music as well. I had a pedicure by Tiara, she was fantastic! Super sweet and she did a really thorough job. I have far from beautiful feet but she really took her time with them and made me feel very comfortable. She had a very delicate touch which I appreciated as I have very sensitive toes and feet. I will definitely be booking with her again! The salon itself is great. A little tucked back and hidden, but once you make it into the building the space they are located in is incredible. Everyone was super welcoming and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Cant say enough!

Ive gone in to have an Olaplex treatment by Gloria and went back for a huge chop that took me from a bob with bangs to a pixie. The Olaplex was really affordable and worked really well, but I still needed a cut. She made me feel really comfortable, eased my anxiety, explained everything, and showed me the different styling options I have from now on. Everyone in the salon is so sweet and welcoming too. This new style is a huge difference and looks amazing - Id recommend JNR and Gloria to anyone.

I am currently natural and I went there for a blow out. My hair was flowing but when I went to wash my hair 2 weeks later, I had really bad heat damage all in the front of my hair. It was so bad that I had to cut it, the damage was irreversible. If you are natural I would advise that you DO NOT go here!
