As usual, my most recent visit at Dr. Cook’s office was exceptional. Martina is by far the best hygienist who has ever cleaned my teeth. She takes so much time and care to ensure my teeth are their best when I leave. Because I have sensitive teeth, she is extra careful not to cause any more discomfort than necessary. I have really appreciated Martina and Dr Cook’s attention to detail and always ensuring that I understand any procedure before going forward. Over the last 15 years I have never had a negative experience at Austin City Dental.

I want to say I love this place as I have for quite a few years now but am displeased with a recent policy update requiring all employees be vaccinated and do not agree with such. As a result, my hygienist who has been with them since 2007 is leaving the practice and I commend her for standing up for her rights. Forcing a vaccine on people based on a personal stance is wrong and I personally cannot support such ideals. We all have a choice to make and mine is to now move on to a new practice that respects each individuals choice to become vaccinated or not.

I was so nervous to change dentists after moving but Dr. Perna and Jenny were AMAZING. The office is incredibly professional, modern, and inviting. Highly recommend.

As usual my visit with Dr. Cook was exceptional. He is very caring and explains options regarding yoru teeth issues. And no matter which hygenist I visit, they are all great. One comment is that I wish all the employees were vaccinated.

Dental experience was not as bad as I had anticipated. Removing silver fillings and getting white fillings on two molars does not sound inviting at all. Dr. Cook and his assistant Jennifer were fabulous. They worked as a synchronized team and all was a successful procedure. Ms. Jennifer started calming me down from the moment I walked in reassured me that all would be fine. Dr. Cook explained exactly what he was going to do so that I would know what was happening. All these minor things helped me to relax and allow them to do their work. Ms. Jennifer gave me clear instructions of what to expect as the numbness wore off and what I could eat and chew.I cannot say that I would want to do it again; however, I can say that I highly recommend Dr. Steve Cook at Austin City Dental Clinic for all your dental needs.

Ive been going to Dr. Cooks office for years and have always gotten wonderful service. Christie is a terrific hygienist and Dr. Cook is friendly, honest, and instantly puts me at ease. I felt safe going there during COVID b/c of the strict measures theyre taking to make it a safe environment.

Our family has been going to Austin City Dental since 1987. Dr. Goldsmith first and now Dr. Cook. Best dentist in Austin. We do our regular cleanings there and they do a great job in managing our dental health. They have been very careful with COVID spreading out the patients in a safe way.On Wednesday night of this week, I felt that one of my teeth had a different feeling at the back of my mouth. It looked as if a filling had come loose or a crack had developed. I emailed them with the details at night and by the time I woke up, Austin City Dental emailed me with 3 times when they could work me in on Thursday. I came in. The doctor and the hygienist had my entire file pulled up with xrays and photos. They were talking among themselves about the tooth I can identified in my email. The first question they asked is we want to see why this happened so we can address the source of the problem. (Probably teeth grinding at night!) The determined they could address the issue with a filling. An hour later, I was on my way home. I have always been scared of dental work because my parents did not go to a dentist but this procedure did not hurt at all. They answered all my questions and told me to call them if I had any discomfort. No pain or soreness at home. I am grateful to have such a good dentistry practice in Austin. We only have 1 set of teeth, so it is important to find a dentist that works to take care of them, prevent future issues, and be truthful with the work that needs to be done. Having many dentists in my family, I can tell you it was difficult to find one that I trusted and was comfortable with. Dr. Cook is the one. The staff is friendly and thorough. Dr. Cook talked me through everything and explained the next steps clearly. I have a lot of respect for dentists, and Im so happy to have found a great one in Austin.

Dr. Cook and the team at ACD make the best dental experience I have ever had. I ended getting Invisalign through them after a few years of standard appointments/cleanings, and I am nothing but grateful for the kindness and attention to detail throughout the process. I never feel like they put any less than 100% into the work being done, and everyone there seems to truly value their job. They are thorough and honest, which is not always a given in the medical field. I feel healthier because of how well they upkeep my dental hygiene.

I had a great experience with Austin City Dental. We recently moved to Austin, and they were recommended to me by several friends. Their COVID-19 procedures made me feel safe and secure, my cleaning was incredibly thorough (Martina is AMAZING) and Dr. Cook took the time to really talk me through my overall teeth and gum health and give me evidence and rationale for the next steps he recommended. Im thrilled to have found a great dentist in Austin!!

I dont have insurance and I have seen several dentists in the Austin area for emergency work. A friend of mine who works in dentistry strongly recommended I see Dr. Cook and I am so glad I took her advice!You get what you pay for when it comes to dental work. Dr. Cook absolutely will not cut corners. I am very impressed by his skill, I can never tell when hes giving me a shot, hes that good!Dr. Cook does exemplary work! I need a ton of work done, I think he did a crown and 5 or 6 fillings in one session for me. He made time to listen to the questions I had and paid meticulous attention to the details.Every person on his team worked surprisingly well together to during my visit. I think I watched my hygienist change her gloves at least 10 times during my visit. I felt very safe and comfortable and I could tell everyone was taking every necessary precaution to mitigate any COVID-19 exposure risks. Ive been going to Austin City Dental for a few years now, and I cant say enough nice things about Dr. Cook, Martina and the staff! I found ACD from the Top 10 Dentists in Austin on Google and i was not disappointed at all! I was greeted by the receptionist, Michelle, who was kind enough to shake my hand making me feel very welcome. Jenn was my hygienist, she was hilarious and very kind. The views from each of the rooms is absolutely wonderful. You get the city skyline and the greenbelt all in one view. Dr. Cook was polite, intelligent and informative. He is definitely someone you can trust. It also helped that I had zero cavities *bragging moment*. Lastly, Martina did my cleaning and sent me on my way. I definitely recommend Austin City Dental and i am happy to say that i will be making them my primary dentist in Austin!

The full periodontal cleaning by Christie is very thorough, and highly recommended. The digital 3-D x-ray images are high tech and helpful in the total assessment. Dr. Cooks is always looking for new techniques to improve and maintain patients dental health.

I have been going to this practice since 1994. The staff has always been friendly, accommodating and extremely professional. I live out of town now, but will continue to make the drive every 6 months for my check up and cleaning. Kathy has been with me from the beginning. We have shared a lot of life history and I consider her a friend as well as talented clinician. Dr. Cook joined the practice a few years ago and is as kind and professional as the entire team. I have been going to Austin City Dental for a few years. The location of the office is convenient for me. The staff is always very friendly and professional. I typically wait 2-3 mins before being taken back for the exam. The staff and Dr. Cook take the time to thoroughly review your specific case and answering any questions. If a treatment recommendation is made, you will be given a proposed treatment plan which you will have the opportunity to review with the staff and Dr. Cook. Overall, Austin City Dental knocks it out of the park!

I cant even articulate how much I love this practice. Before I came to them, I had such horrible dental trauma that I hadnt been to the dentist in ten years and was in pretty bad shape. I thought theyd have to knock me unconscious. Instead, Kristi suggested that we break up my first appointment into two shorter gentler sessions. On her advice, I spent the money I would have paid for IV sedation on a reward for being brave.Fast forward ten years. I love going to the dentist. I look forward to it. My teeth are in the best shape of my life and I get compliments on my smile all the time. Even larger procedures are NBD because Dr. Cook is a consummate professional with a competent staff. After the 2016 election when I ground my teeth so badly I cracked a molar, I needed to get a crown. After the procedure, Dr. Cook gave me his mobile number in case I needed him for anything.After my appointments, I head over to Andersons Coffee Roasters where they always help me pick out the perfect treat for being brave.

What can I say. I HATE going to the dentist but they treated me good and it was more painless than I thought. I appreciated the reminders and help they gave me with my insurance provider who ended up covering more than I thought they would.

These folks treat you like royalty. I had to have two fairly serious procedures that took about three hours, but I never felt a single instant of pain (and I have hypersensitive teeth). They hooked me up with bluetooth headphones so I could listen to music from my phone, and just took care of me while I lay back and relaxed. I was terrified of going to the dentist my whole life, but I had nothing to fear this time.

These folks saved my teeth so we go way back to Brooks Goldsmith and my braces. Dr. Goldsmith would have never left his business to anyone but the best dentists. Very empathetic and non judgmental. My first appointment was this Tuesday. I had just been graduated from my pediatric dentist in Houston as a sophomore in college, and I was nervous to be going to a new dentist in Austin. Ive been Dr Cooks patient for about 10 years now and Christy has been my hygienist for over 5 years. Being a mature age patient with more than annual check up needs, over the years, Dr Cook has performed one root canal, two filings and a crown. Every experience has gone swimmingly. Exactly as he had described and with no complications. Dr Cook provides excellent professional care with an understanding for individual patient needs.

I have been a patient of Dr. Goldsmith before he sold his practice and retired, and I really appreciate the time and effort he spent finding someone he was willing to trust his patients with. These guys share the same ethic of patient care that Dr. Goldsmith did, and I have been very happy with the transition. They show the same quality of care, Dr.s calling personally with update information, and to check up on your progress after a complex procedure, even on the weekends. Im hoping theyre young enough and dedicated enough I wont ever have to find another dentist.

Going for dental work at Austin City Dental is like visiting close family. After 20 plus years as a patient at ACD, you get to know the staff, their families and they get to know you and yours. How wonderful to catch up on the the lives of the amazing staff and get the best dental care anywhere. After going to another doctor for a root canal, it resulted in a broken tooth root. Dr. Cook took care of the issue, rather than send me back to that particular doctor. He has since been my HERO. I admire his ethics, expertise and concern for his patients. Dr. Cook has been my dentist for about 10 years. I had several before that. I agree with all the other comments about his and his teams competence, friendliness, and professionalism. More importantly, hes a really outstanding dentist. His quiet confidence is not an act; he knows his stuff. When he uses the latest technologies, he is not using you to as a guinea pig to get up the learning curve. (Been there, done that, at other dentists.) Over the years, he has done three crowns and an implant for--all excellent work. He has replaced poorly crafted crowns made by other dentists--that failed. Most of all, he is not a slave to the technology--although he knows the technology cold. Creating dental work that works for me--with my problematic bite--requires not just good technology, but craft, care, experience, and artistry too. Hes the real deal. I am sure there are cheaper dentists in Mexico or Costa Rica. I have gone to other dentists here in Austin that cost as much or more than Dr. Cook, but I have gotten results that were inferior, or didnt last. He provides a complete array of dental services, but never pushes dental work you dont really need if you dont want it. I hope I die before he retires!

Great dentists!I havent been to a dentist in... Lets just leave it at years. I have major anxiety when even thinking about having to go to the dentist.Im glad I found this place. They were great with dealing with my anxiety and even though it was forever ago that I had my last check up, it was the least amount of pain I ever experienced at a dentist office.I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good dentist in Austin.Bob Melvin
