Staff is great and the place is nice. They use modern dentistry technology and digital imaging. I go very often for my cleaning and they are always helping in helping me understand if its a visit covered by insurance or if I am coming in between and need to pay out of pocket. I am happy to pay because I go more frequently than the insurance offers. The drs are great. I have been going to this location for over 5 years and would recommend them to anyone.

Had our first visit here today! I never feel comfortable at dental places but Today Aloha Dental really had me feel so comfortable & they are extremely Nice & Are very detailed on everything thats going on with your visit with them! Its so nicely decorated inside, they had the best music playlist on... Which helped me forget there was work being done inside my mouth because i usually tense up badly during these sort of visits! And what was even more better is that the prices for the work we needed is so within budget for us! Thank You Aloha Dental for a perfect first time visit! We look forward to more awesome visis!

They’re fine for a standard dental cleaning, but I do not recommend trusting them for anything further. Please get a 2nd opinion if they tell you that you need costly work done. I was told I had 6 expensive cavities. I got a second opinion - 0 cavities, just needed a few preventative sealants done (which barely cost me a hundred dollars). Same thing happened with THREE of my coworkers who went here. We all felt like a client being upsold vs. a medical patient (they find and market to you on LinkedIn and everything).

I hate to give bad reviews and never do, even more so because I really have liked working with Dr. Mulgrew and the medical staff at Aloha but I will never go to this office again. I had to cancel an appointment last minute, which is admittedly a terrible thing to do, but as we all know life happens sometimes. The staff member I spoke with was immensely rude and unpleasant over the phone during this conversation in a quite overtly passive aggressive way. It’s very understandable to be frustrated with a client who has to cancel last minute but it is grossly unprofessional and disrespectful to express that frustration in this way, especially as someone who is in a customer service position. This was not the only occasion where this person or the front desk staff were extraordinarily rude over the phone.I imagine this won’t be seen or taken into account based on other similar low reviews that received no response and the predominantly high reviews given otherwise. Perhaps I’m an outlier, but I couldn’t NOT leave this review given the experience I had. Hope it is helpful to whoever reads.

I am a new client to Aloha Dental and I really wish I had come sooner. The staff at the front desk are SO helpful and patient. The hygienist and Dr. were also amazing, thorough, patient with all of my questions and thoughtful with every suggestion. They also squeezed me in during a busy time and made sure that I understood everything. I hardly leave reviews but I thought more people should know about this place.

People can get stuck going to a service provider year after year because its just easier, but the time has come for us to move on. Ive been taking my sister to Aloha on Riverside Dr. for years and honestly feel remorse every time we leave the office. I cant ever seem to make sense of their non-insured cash discount, which is weak/vague/inconsistent...but the BIGGEST turn-off is the office staffs were doing you a favor mentality. Unfortunately, convenience doesnt outweigh feel-good. Aloha also means good-bye.

Dr Blake Mulgrew is fantastic! I have never been more comfortable with a dental appointment, which typically causes me to be scared of what to expect. The staff and Dr M were so friendly and so kind. I did not wait more than a minute prior to my appointment once I arrived, which was so much appreciated due to needing to return to work after the dental visit.Once in an exam room, Dr Mulgrew completed a thorough evaluation of my teeth. He then provided an explanation of my dental x rays, which put me at ease knowing what I was currently experiencing (jaw pain and headaches in the morning from grinding my teeth while sleeping) would be resolvedMost importantly, Dr Mulgrew took the time to answer all of my questions regarding the steps of obtaining the mouth guard. The first visit (today) was to obtain dental impressions; the second visit will be in ~ one week to confirm the mouth guard is comfortable and ost importantly, will protect my teeth/jaw at night. I especially appreciated that Dr M was truly caring and did not rush through the visit, as other dentists I have previously seen have.Dr Mulgrew’s dental hygienist was efficient yet thorough in obtaining the impressions of my teeth for the mouth guard. She had such a friendly and positive attitude and seemed to truly be happy to help me work relieving the mouth and jaw pain that I have been present for many months.I would highly recommend Aloha dental and especially Dr Mulgrew. I will certainly be returning to this clinic for any dental needs.

Im a patient of Dr Blake Mulgrew and since Ive seen this physician and their office, Ive been very happy with the level of service here. The office takes seriously its COVID protocol and the office itself is very clean. Cant really ask for more from a dental office. Dr Mulgrew takes his time to answer all questions.

I love Aloha dental and thats saying a lot for me. I have fairly extreme dental anxiety but everyone at Aloha is always very understanding and empathetic. I recently got reassigned to Dr. Rho after the other dentist I usually saw went to another practice and she is the best dentist I have ever had! She is so caring and compassionate and took time to listen to all my anxieties. She made sure to do everything in her power to allay my fears and make the visit as stress free as is possible for me. I still have anxiety about dental procedures, but knowing I have Dr. Rho to help me through it makes all the difference!

I had a terrible experience dealing with the front desk representative when I was reaching for a treatment I did years ago. He was super disrespectful, he was sarcastic and provoking me. He stated “go ahead and make a bad review in our 5 start reviews” so here you haveCustomer services is everything on business and I was not expecting that from a formal well named and respected agency. Customers could may not have the full information about how things are, but the staff has to be respectful by explaining things.I am really disappointed and I would not ever have a treatment in a place that have an staff that could be as rude as him.

This place has been consistent as far as services go.I was told on my last visit that I’d be seeing a new Dds because my previous one had had moved on to another practice out of state. Yes, I would have liked to have been notified, but I wasn’t.Dr Rho introduced her self and was warm from the beginning. She seemed prepared and was thorough.All of the staff is professional that doesn’t waiver.My whole family visits her now.

I called and specifically scheduled a regular cleaning as a new patient. When I went to my appointment not only did they take forever in getting to me, but they told me they dont do cleanings the same day as an exam - which they should have told me when I tried to schedule a cleaning. Typical dentist visit is (basic) cleaning > exam > x-rays > treatment plan. To make matters worse, they did the exam (on dirty teeth) and tried to tell me I needed several root canals and a deep cleaning.I went to another dentist for a second opinion, and shocker MY TEETH WERE COMPLETELY HEALTHY. I didnt even have a cavity, didnt need a deep cleaning, and most definitely did not need multiple root canals. As someone with severe TMJ this could have seriously messed up my life.This happened close to 2 years ago, and still keeps me up at night.

The staff from the beginning to the end are so helpful, nice and accommodating. I usually have so much anxiety and they are so thoughtful in making sure I am okay. They are very good at their jobs and I will not go anywhere else except for them.

I do NOT like going to the dentist. However, since I must go, I will say that Aloha Dental is the only place I will go! They accommodate to my anxiety and are very patient and understanding. They will fight for proper insurance coverage and have flexible scheduling. Everyone from receptionists to hygienists to the dentists are so pleasant to interact with. My worst experience made tolerable by great staff and services!

I know most people hate going to the dentist. I used to be one of those people. I found Aloha Dental a few years ago and dont dread it anymore! I mean, they still give me a hard time about flossing, but what dentist doesnt...They offer free whitening, have massaging chairs, I love my hygienist and her cute dog as well as my dentist, Dr. Wang. This office is awesome. I highly recommend it.

This is friendliest and most accommodating dentist I have ever visited. They were so helpful from the first contact I made with them on the phone to when I came in to get my cleaning. They are also very affordable even for those of us that dont have dental insurance.

So i used Aloha Dental for a lot of work over the last 12 months , i will say the doctors did great work , but i had a customer service problem after something went wrong and i decided to go to look for a new Dentist . After a few months i was hit with a $700 bill from Aloha which they just pulled out of thin air because i had paid them after every procedure and my Insurance covered the rest . So i went to speak with Aloha and i was handed over to the owner or Boss lady , she asked me why i would not come back and i explained the situation (That i had a bad experience with their customer service ) , so she proceeded to offer me a deal i could not refuse , she said if i cam back she would discount the $700 bill to 200 and during my next appointment i would have cleaning done (which would be covered by my insurance) and i also needed a flipper which she promised i would only pay the lab fee of $70 , i was so happy and i payed the $200 and re-scheduled my next appointment (which was this morning ) .I had my cleaning done and then when it came to preparing the mold for the new flipper i was hit with the bill of $700 , they circled part of the bill that read $230 and said this is what i will pay and to sign here , i was confused and i signed the form , but when i realized that this was not the $70 deal i had made with the boss i immediately stopped the procedure and tore up the form , i went to reception and explained that i had made this deal and that they did not keep their end of the bargain , the lady just sat there and had nothing to say , so i was charged another $55 for the cleaning which they said would be covered by my Insurance , and i will probably receive another shock bill in a few months saying i owe for something else they decide to pull out of thin air . This woman (Owner , Boss ) is a liar and a cheat , the rest of the staff are just doing their job and i have no beef with any of them , but i will never ever use Aloha Dental again , and i will be posting reviews about what has happened to me on as many sites as i can so this will not happen to anybody else . I am a very honest person and i am a very fair person , and i truly believe that when somebody makes a deal that they should keep their end instead of being a sneak and a cheat . If you want to have an honest experience do not use Aloha Dental , they will cheat you out of every penny you work hard for . They are a disgrace to the service that America prides itself on and this Owner/boss lady should be ashamed of herself . Please take this review seriously people , stay a million miles away from Aloha Dental.

Aloha Dental always provides a great experience for the customer. From the doorway in to the end of the appointment, everyone goes out of their way to make you comfortable and keep thinks as simple as possible. Ive had appointments with several of the dentists and all have been very helpful, professional, and customer-focused. Dr. Mulgrew made me feel comfortable, calm, and well-informed. All the dental hygienists are gentle and friendly and the front staff as well.

They were able to get me in on short notice because I chipped a tooth. They were very professional and friendly the entire time. I never felt I was being rushed or being an inconvenience to anyone.I felt that they did what they could that was best for *me*, not the most expensive.I am going to continue using them as my primary dentist.

Great dentist. I went here for a routine checkup. Scheduling the appointment was easy, access to the place was easy, and I didnt have to wait long to get in. Cleanup went well and no cavities!

Unbelievable strong arm tactics this place has. I went in with my kids for my regular 6 month appointments. Paid my $50 co pay since I had dental insurance. Then I get contacted five months later saying I owed $400 more! I asked why and they told me that :1. a regular six month checkup price is $400 PER PERSON (cleaning and x-ray)2. My insurance company would not pay the bill. They said after giving us a DEAL they would only charge us an additional $400 for the three of us after I paid my copays already.I contacted my insurance company (very reputable company by the way) and they told me that Aloha Dental had never contacted them to file a claim. They said that they would have paid it immediately if they had sent it over.I called the office manager back and told her what my insurance company said. I asked if she had proof that the claim was denied. She did not.Do not do business with this company unless you want to get strong armed for more money after you get dental work done there. They are absolutely horrible!

I love the atmosphere at Aloha. The staff is very friendly and even when I had trouble with my insurance they did a diligent job of following up with me and my insurance. I recommend this location to anyone in the downtown area.

They were very accommodating because i needed to make an emergency appointment for my son.they already had all of his insurance information through zocdoc, which made the checkin seamless, even though it was his first appointment.the doctor was really straightforward with everything that needed to be done.he didnt talk to me like i was dumb, either. which is nice since i have had experiences like that with previous dentists.

Two words: massage chairs. If that isnt enough, their personnel are fantastic, and the service is great. Their technology is also top-notch, and their music playlist is world-class. I just wish my teeth were always as clean as they were right after leaving.

I love this location. Its clean, the staff is pretty friendly and very professional. I would recommended them to any adult.. not so much for small children though. The lobby has stuff for the kids to play with and even a movie playing for them when theyre getting their teeth cleaned. BUT I just feel like children are not their specialty. Ill probably bring my 5 year old back once he gets a little older because right now hes not the most cooperative patient. (He gets scared) But other than that, its a very nice location and I wouldnt mind going there for myself. I recommend a pediatric dentist for small children, especially if they dont like the dentist!!

I went in for an assessment of a crown after I broke a tooth, besides the sticker shock ( I was quoted twice of what my savings plan was supposed to be through Aetna) and the shock that I actually need two crowns. I have no problem with dentist Dr. Mulgrew, he seems fine, the assistant on the other hand acted like it was her first day which makes me very uneasy when I am paying a lot for medical care to have someone who just doesnt seem to know how to do their job.

I went here about a year ago to get cleaning and xrays. They pointed out a few fillings that they said needed to be re filled ASAP. I couldnt afford it at the time with my current insurance that offered terrible coverage. Jump forward a year later, and I visit my family dentist in Dallas. Here Im told my teeth are fine and dont need urgent work. Im recommended to keep visiting every 6 months and if they find anything wrong, we will get work done.On top of that, Aloha messed up my insurance and tried to bill me in full for my cleaning and x-rays. They said it was an honest mistake. Maybe it was..So, this makes question this place. Lots of dentists out there will jump at any chance to work on your teeth, whether you really need it or not. As someone who saved $1,200 by getting a second dentists opinion, I urge you to look elsewhere.Goodluck, because finding a new, trustworthy dentist can be frustrating!

Dr. Mulgrew is the best doctor of any kind Ive ever had. I avoided the dentist for YEARS due to my fear of them. This of course led to a LOT of work being done. Friday I had 6 extractions and bone grafting in two of those and I still havent had pain (its Sunday morning). He is seriously the best - so understanding and comforting. I dont plan on going anywhere else!!Also, my husband was able to get in for an emergency extraction due to such pain same day as calling.Best office ever!

This is the second or third time that I have specially requested a service and taken time off to go only to show up and be told that what was scheduled couldnt be done. I get 75 reminder calls and emails for the appointment but not one of your horrible staff can tell me that a simple cleaning cant be done the same day as X-rays for some unknown reason. You continually waste my time. I could have a mouthful of broken and razor sharp teeth with blood pouring out of my mouth and I wouldnt darken your doorstep for free treatment. Every aspect of every experience Ive had with Aloha has been excruciating and horrible. Please kiss the entirety of my considerable posterior. Horrible horrible horrible. Thats how I feel about my recent visit.

On 11/14/2014 I had my wisdom teeth removed. The bill at the time of service was $1771.00. The amount covered by insurance on my receipt shows $1109.20. The amount my mother paid upon the date of the service was $661.80. to make the account ZERO.Owner Dr. Mark Jumper and Accounting Clerk Dawn White failed to file a service with my one of my two insurances Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas PPO - I even called BCBS they dont ever show that Aloha Dental attempted to file the service.They are now trying to say I have a balance that is owed to them and have sent the balance to collections. I have tried to reach out to Dawn via email two times to get the owner Dr Mark Jumper to contact me directly regarding their own mistake Aloha Dental made. I have not heard one thing back from the vendor.I would hope Dr. Mark Jumper accept responsibility for Aloha Dental not billing both insurance providers I provided the vendor with on the date of service.If they check their security footage and my file it shows that I did make the vendor aware of both of my insurance providers - on my new patient paperwork I wrote down both blue cross and Cigna.I want them to let me know when you have accepted responsibility for the error Aloha Dental made and when they have cleared my account of a balance. This is a bad debt Aloha Dental will have to accept. I will not accept it for them.

Using the Google appointment was easy. I got all the information I needed through email and I got a quick confirmation of my appointment. I even got a text a few hours before my exam. When i arrived everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Kevin helped me out and he was super cool, I get s bit nervous during visits but he kept me cool and calm. I also met with Dr. wang. He was verg nice and answered all my questions! Zoey did my cleaning. She was nice and took very good care of me ! I would recommend Aloha Dental to others !

Aloha! This is easily the greatest dentist office I have ever gone to. I emailed them before opening hours and requested an appointment as early as possible due to a wicked tooth ache. They called back promptly and fit me in that same afternoon. The staff is ridiculously friendly and more than accommodating. Dr. Bernal explained in great detail the madness that was taking place inside my molar in a manner that was actually comprehensible. Minus the extreme amounts of pain designated to my poor, weakened tooth, my overall experience was nothing short of spectacular. Their administrative assistants also happen to be an absolute delight as well. Lindsey has gone through a great deal of trouble to make sure that my insurance is doing their part, as well as making sure that all my visits have ended with a smile, metaphorically speaking of course, its hard to smile with a numb face.

I went in today for a deep teeth cleaning and it was a great experience. I went in a little early and was taken to the back earlier than schedule appt which was awesome. Dr wang gave me shots to numb the right side of my mouth and he did a great job didnt feel anything! Zoi the hygienist was awesome! She was sweet and so polite about the whole procedure. Im definitely coming back. Checkout was polite and courteous. This office was great today!

I just had an appointment for the first time with Aloha Dental today. I scheduled for a quick cleaning as I have my own doctor in Dallas Ive gone to for a decade but live in Austin. The Drs administrative staff was very kind and welcoming. However, when I informed the staff and hygienist that I would not like an xray and merely a cleaning since I already had an xray a few months ago and I need work done but Im saving to see my dentist in Dallas. The hygienist said shed have to check with the doctor. He came in and told me its against law for them to perform a cleaning without an xray. I asked to sign a waiver and he said it was against the law. I am upset with his handling as I have a right under law to refuse an x-ray, just as he has a right under law to refuse service. I have been to other dentists in the past where this has 1-I was not required to have an x-ray or 2- their office ate the costs for the xray. I found that I received unwelcomed treatment since I provided full disclosure that I only want to frequent their office for cleanings. The Doctor should have stated it is his offices decision (or corporate) to require x-rays so they could get some more money in basic cleanings and not falsely blame state statute. I dont like to waste time and am honest and direct, would have expected the same. Unfortunate experience.

Never had issues before, & we are existing patients. I made 4 appts for my children in advance, requested to take time off work for today, confirmed the appts & was called this morning to say they cant see any of the kids. Then got offered an appt on the 28th? Really were the 14th very unprofessional! I I will not be going back but they would probably prefer not to see so many kids in 2 appts anyway.
