Don’t use this rental company! I reserved a rental on Avis somehow when my confirmation email was received it stated Sixt rental car along with Priceline. Rental was prepaid already 2 days . Rental car has there money. Due to I had a death the same day I reserved/ paid for rental I was not able to pick up the vehicle. Called multiple times was not successful reaching anyone via phone. Emailed the reservationminussixt as directed on website and voicemail. Today I was finally spoke to an associate whom stated only way I can retrieve my refund if I submit proof of brother death. Rental was paid on June 15 2021. I called that day and emailed however I still wasn’t able to pick up car. And they not accredited by BBB. Would have never used this company never heard of them until I receive my email.

This was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a rental car company. First they gave my car away and usually if a rental company doesnt have anymore of a certain type of car they upgrade you and give you a car but not this company they gave me a class lower and then when i asked if they could upgrade me since they no longer had my type of car class they told me that it was going to cost me an extra $50 A DAY!!! they then stuck me with a Toyota Camry, BIG MISTAKE!!!! Not only 1 tire blow out but the second back tire blew out an hour later on my rental nearly causing an accident twice and the vehicle had malfunction codes the entire time. The vehicle needed an alignment and when driving it swerved to the right constantly to where it was mostly undriveable. When the tire blew out I was informed that I had to pay for the tires, tow and anything that needed to happen. It wasnt until the second back tire blew and my multiple calls and complaints that Sixt finally towed the car to a tire place (Nevil Tires) and got the tires fixed so that I could finally make it back home to Atlanta 3 hours away from where we were. Also, the branch manager swore the vehicle was inspected on the 28th of Oct. but theres no way thats possible because after the tire blew and it was taken off you could see that it was dang near stripped bare. Then after returning the car I was advised I would get a refund and a credit for the next rental and neither has yet to happen. I was told the branch manager would call me but she didnt, I had to call her to even speak about the issues I had after I had sent pictures and proof of the tread bare tires. Other than the rental credit I was supposed to receive, I would probably never rent from here again and never recommend and family or friends to rent from here because of the ordeal I went through and how poorly it was handled.

I booked a rental for a four seater Jetta for 09/28-10/01 for a birthday trip at the Georgian Terrace Hotel. When I arrived I was being helped initially, then the employees realized they skipped someone and I was moved back to waiting with the other several guests, finally after waiting for the previous guests it was time for me to be serviced. It was (3) associates yet only one was ringing clients and the other young women Im guessing assisted when asked. It was overall extremely unprofessional from their behavior to body language. After completing my payment she stated it was no Jettas available although I was comp upgraded to a Subaru. When we got into our first car it had burn holes in the back seats and gum stuck on the front passenger seat. The associate stated she had put the car in for a cleaning however it wasnt completed. I asked for another vehicle and she stated she had another one (Subaru) but it had a smoke odor. It wasnt too alarming so I took that Subaru (smoke) due to the better seat conditions and no gum. However after I pulled off I realized the back seatbelt was broken which didnt help being that I had four guest in the car. I did take pictures of the broken seatbelt incase charges were made against me.The only positive was I had a double reservation and she was able to assist with a charge back rather than what she initially stated saying I would have to put in a help desk ticket. I guess she felt bad, due to assisting me and then bumping me back in line. I am not a frequent car rental guests, however I wont be booking with this company again due to the unprofessionalism from staff and car quality.

Kennedy assisted me when I came to pick up my reservation and she was very kind and helpful! She acknowledged that I made a specific vehicle request and luckily was able to fulfill it. I have worked in a similar industry and understand that all requests cannot be fulfilled but it mattered to me that she actually tried! The vehicle was great (Chrysler Pacifica minivan). Super clean and comfortable for my kids and I. Returning the vehicle was easy—I just parked in one of the Sixt spaces and walked inside to hand the keys over to one of the reps. I received my receipt and invoice quickly via email. I prepaid my reservation and didn’t incur any additional charges so I look forward to receiving my deposit in a few business days. I’ll certainly rent from Sixt again if I need to.

Great experience with Sixt. You have to go around the side to get to the rental car location (not sure if this is new for COVID or normal) and have to jump through some hoops due to the pandemic, but once inside everyone we very helpful, friendly and competent. I got a great car and the process was quick and efficient.

Gave Sixt a try for the first time and will definitely use in the future for non-work-related travel. Value is much better than larger brands and I was able to reserve a make and model that I actually got when I arrived. I’ve been burned too many times in the past with enterprise, reserving an suv and ending up in a mini van...My only critique was that at the Georgeanne Terrace location, they just need one more directional sign to point you to the door because I walked right past it a few times. Overall a very positive experience.

I generally give you guys a 5 star rating. However, there was a moment that I needed window washer fluid and there was none during this last rental. I bought some and put it in the vehicle. Things couldve gone so wrong if the exit wasnt near. I absolutely am generally satisfied with my rental but this one was a very interesting moment for a few reasons. Thank you guys for caring to know about the experience. Be well and looking forward to a better next time.

The midtown branch makes up rules on documents needed to rent the car. They are very quick to turn you away and not care that you rented a car for a reason. I fought with them over 2 hours trying to get the car. The employees sent me on a wild goose chase looking for the car. They didn’t know where they parked it and they didn’t bother to go find it. They just kept guessing a garage floors and telling me to click the button on the key to find the car. When I finally got it, the car was dirty. There were fast food bags and gum wrappers. The gas tank was empty. They wasted my first day of vacation and then charged me for an additional day when I needed to return it late.

One star is even too much for the rental company. I booked a luxury SUV and prepaid. When I picked up my car, they told me they have no car available at that moment which many people mentioned the same situation in the feedback. They told me either accepted a Chevrolet or a cancellation. I had no choice so I took the Chevrolet, they guaranteed me they would adjust the rate for the downgrade but I received a bill of additional charge $120. When I returned the car, nobody in the counter and no instruction for how to return the car. That was crazy. I called their customer service and nobody took the phone call. I went to the hotel and the front desk lady helped me took the car key. Overall, I will never book with this company any more and hope you never fall into the trap that I had.

It is good to have a rental company close to the city. It is actually very close to my home in Midtown. The process to get a car has much more bureaucracy than other rental companies, even though I was the only client, it took a while. The first car they offered me had maintenance over due and a warning light due to reduced pressure in the tires. I needed the car right away to take the highway for 3 hours, couldnt do it with that car. Had to go back to the counter from the Hotel parking lot to make all the bureaucracy for a change. The car offer is not the best, is very limited. I forgot some items in the first card, including my ID. Even though they knew it was mine, nobody called me or alerted me of the forgotten item, therefore I found out later in the afternoon. I think the service must improve a lot and the car offer too. I will give it a try again after the Pandemic, maybe next year.

I rented with Sixt for the first time today. I didnt have an opportunity to really look at the car until I was stopped in traffic on my way home. The car is absolutely disgusting (The system is NOT posting the worst photos. It will allow me to post but will only display five photos) - Every seat is covered in filth that I cant identify. Some of the debris resembles marijuana but I have no idea what else. There are also sprays of sticky brownish liquid throughout the vehicle. In addition, the windows are dirty, theres a dirty, balled up Kleenex in the back, etc. There is no way this car was cleaned by anyone. It literally went from the previous renter to me, without being checked or cleaned. The Volvo SUV itself is beautiful but I cant enjoy it because of the filth. Horrible impression for a first time renter!I must also note that customer service was great - Mr. Roosevelt was professional, knowledgeable and professional. If I could base my review on customer service alone - 5 stars. Everything else - 0 stars. Im extremely disappointed!

It was our first time using Sixt and we were very happy we did! Great customer service at the location at Georgian Terrace. Reese assisted us and was the absolute best!!! We went back one week later to rent from this location again and had an equally wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

Never experienced a rental situation where there weren’t any vehicles anywhere. The customer service representative thought it was rather humorous. I had to leave the location and call the main office and have “them “ search the other locations. Which turned up nothing. This reservation was made a month ahead?????

I need my $195 for the rental car that wasn’t even available. We received no phone call and showed up to pick up the car we reserved just to be told they were sold out. Now it’s been over a week and nobody will answer the phone or respond to my emails.

If you book online with a debit, make sure you bring a utility bill with your name and address to match your license address. They do not notify you of this prior to them withdrawing the money from your account. It is supposedly hidden in their terms and conditions but I could not find accurate information on this. This is how they scammed me out of a cancellation fee.I’d recommend simply renting a car from a more competent, less predatory rental agency.

It is impossible to get anyone on the phone. They never answer. I filled the gas tank right before returning and they fraudulently added $44 in refueling charges long after I was gone. I cant even get anyone on the phone to discuss it since they dont answer. I do not recommend using this location.

Good, bad and ugly. Ultimately, I got the luxury car I reserved and put 2,000 miles on it in a weeks travel to see family for a good price. Returned with no surprises or extra hidden fees. Despite this outcome, Ill never rent from them again. Why? They are clowns pretending to rent cars. Possess their own definition for a reservation, as they dont guarantee having a promised car class or even any cars at your pickup time and location. After more than an hours wait for ANY vehicle to be available, had to rent a passenger van with broken driver seat and check engine light on to go to another location to get a vehicle.

They have good cars here to rent whenever they do have cars available. They always seem to have a shortage of cars at this midtown location. Then when you rent a car and try to swap it out for another size vehicle you’ll have to pay another deposit all over again. I had to do a whole new reservation to just exchange vehicles. Nobody wants several 200.00 holds on their cards. The staff was great and I like them but certain things they might not be knowledgeable about. If this is right how they are doing it then the company need to change or adjust that concern. I’m sure I’m not the only person that rent regularly that feels this way.

We rented a vehicle in early January 2020 and prepaid because there was an additional charge to pay upon arrival, which was a bit annoying. In the rush to come home for a family emergency, I didnt clearly see the statement that, once prepaid, there are no changes OF ANY KIND to your reservation. After reserving a car with two booster seats, I called to cancel the boosters because we found a neighbor who would lend us some. No deal -- we would still have to pay the $140 for the boosters, although the call was made literally within 10 minutes of making the reservations. Fine, we will just suck it up and pay for the boosters. We arrive at the location -- very friendly agent, quick to get us to the vehicle. But no boosters are available at the site. He assures me that, in addition to receiving the credit back for the $200 deposit I gave him at the desk (although I had already prepaid?!), I would also receive a refund for the boosters on my receipt because they were unavailable. We have our visit and return the vehicle -- another friendly and courteous agent, and we are good to go, but no paper receipt -- it will be emailed. When I receive the email receipt, we are still charged for the boosters. I have gone back and forth with the company via email for a month and so far have only received a $40 discount on the receipt. But there is also a $98.60 prepaid difference charge there. What on earth is that? Ive never had this much difficulty with a vehicle rental in 20 years of rentals for work and personal use. Would NOT recommend. Im just hoping I eventually get back the other $100 they owe me. I get it if they dont want to change your reservation after you paid for something -- but I cant believe they would still charge you for something they dont even end up having available when you arrive.

I am a 72 year old Disabled Veteran. As I was driving from my primary residence in Michigan to vacation in Florida, my vehicle was hit and severely damaged by a car that spun out of control on I-75 in Atlanta, Georgia.A police officer gave me a ride to the Georgian Terrace Hotel, when there is a Sixt rental desk. I arrived at 7:00AM on Oct. 10th and was told by the receptionist that the Sixt rental agent would arrive at 9:00AM. Maurice P. finally arrived at 10:30 and arranged for me to have a Toyota RAV4, a compact crossover SUV. I was shocked when he quoted a weekly rate of $1,294.58, which included a $$410 one-way charge. I called Hertz and other rental agencies, and no one had a car available. With no other options, I reluctantly agreed to the offer.Once I unpacked and settled in at my Fort Myers accommodations, I rented a Nissan Sentra from Enterprise for $321/week and returned the Toyota RAV4 to the Sixt lot at RSW airport in on Oct. 12th. This morning I received an invoice for $1,040.21 from Sixt! The invoice also described the RAV4 as Vehicle group - PREMIUM LIMOUSINE! The one-way fee aside, your rate was more than DOUBLE the typical rate for a compact car. Prorating your $752.92/week fee for 3 days use plus the one-way $410 charge, I calculate an amount due of $732.68.I belong to numerous Veterans and social organizations and will share my Sixt experience accordingly. To this point, I feel the 1½ hour delay in Maurices arrival, the extremely high weekly rate, and the inappropriate prorating of my final invoice make for a very disappointing first-time Sixt experience. I hope you can understand my concern and I am respectfully asking for an appropriate adjustment to my invoice. A reasonable adjustment would go a long way in changing my attitude toward Sixt. Thank you in advance for your understanding and hopefully adjusting my invoice.(I sent the above message to Sixt two weeks ago... no response.)

Will never try to use Sixt rental car again. They do everything possible to scam you. They dont clearly state policies, and when they are clearly stated Sixt rental car employees dont follow. Was on the phone with the corporate office for a while today and tried to argue that they werent following their policies and agreement, but the lady kept saying the same sentence every time I tried to speak. We will not give you a refund. I then asked to speak to her manager and she said no. Then after arguing with her that I have the right to talk to a manager she says okay I will transfer you to my supervisor, and then hangs up on me. Stay away from this company. This is how they make their money. Save the headache and go somewhere else.

Booking was easy. And thats were it went wrong. They gave us confirmation number and pick up location for 9:30am. We arrived at this location at 9:27 to find a note on the front door saying they were not servicing from this location currently. We drove 25mins to their other location and We not even allowed in the building until 11:26am. No one will answer the phone. We are 3xtremly unhappy and will never rent here again

I prepaid for a rental car in December 2019. Due to Covid-19 my trip was canceled. I was traveling to Atlanta for a graduation. Sixt Rent A Car would not issue a refund stating policy. Unfortunately, Sixt Rent A Car is not available in most cities that I travel to. Therefore, they kept money for a service not used. I will never rent from Sixt Rent A Car again.

I had to cancel due to covid symptoms. I was told they would refund the money in full as the reason for cancellation was due to potential covid-19 symptoms. The very next day I was charged the full amount for the rental. I called and emailed for over a month with very little to no response. Do not use this rental service. There are plenty of other better options that know how to handle the issues presented during a worldwide pandemic.

Please refund me the Fueling cost at the very least. Its very aggravating to see this on my invoice after a rough first experience.I made a resrvation a month in advance to avoid any surprises and had to wait 2h and 57 minutes. A different location and many apologies later, I was being handed the keys to a dirty Volvo XC60 with less that a quarter tank of gas in it. The car was returned on time, as per my reservation, with more gas in it than when given to me and I am charged a fueling cost of $99.

Quick summary: Terrible customer experience; old car even at their most expensive tier; bait-and-switch pricing (read other reviews) and if you don’t pay up, you don’t get a car. Stick with Hertz or National, or even Enterprise.The Georgian Terrace location is terribly understaffed and Sixt’s computer system is clunky and takes forever for the agent to check things out. I waited 45 minutes behind other people just to start talking to the agent. It took another 10 minutes for her to navigate through the computer (it did not appear to be her fault, but rather the complicated PC application). I was told the class of vehicle I booked (Range Rover Velar) was not available, and either I had to downgrade several levels to a budget compact SUV or pay $40 extra for a Mercedes. I ended up paying the extra fee since I didn’t have use for a smaller car. The Mercedes was old [for a rental] with 30,000 miles on it and the interior was old and very worn out. All in all, my first Sixt experience was a series of far-missed expectations... you’re much better off sticking with one of the big companies like Hertz or National. Avoid this place and their bait-and-switch pricing.

I rented a car to be picked up at 7 am on a Saturday. Once I get there the door is locked so I go around to the main lobby entrance only to be informed that Sixt car rental does not open until 9 am and that, and I quote, “you are not the first person this happens to”.How careless and incompetent of a manager do you have to be in order to fail communicating to corporate that the times on your site are wrong?This messed up my travel times.

I would “NEVER” recommend sixt to anyone. I went to pick my rental up at the Peachtree location(ATL) around 11am, not only were there people outside waiting , but sixt was scheduled to open 9am. The door was locked with no sign in regards to them being closed and both of the customers were on the phone trying to contact other locations & customer service. None of us were accommodated in anyway for this inconvenience, not even a call from the company with an explanation. I continued to call other locations and customer service as well, no response! The next day I continued to call , still no answer. This by far is the most unprofessional rental company EVER! I will go forward with contacting their corporate office regarding this matter. My entire trip was ruined because of this and I will never support this again.!

The initial pickup of my reservation went smooth and without issue upon my first contact with a sixt representative at the branch. The day prior, I was highly upset because the branch changed its hours and I arrived during my reservation pickup to find out that the reservation was scheduled after the new business hours. We should not be allowed to make a reservation if a branch is closed early. Upon return of my vehicle, I was confused and the representative working the counter and management were not helpful or cooperative. Reema (the manager) did not abide by policy to allow use of a banking statement to verify my address in correlation with my drivers license (as stated on the sixt website. see excerpt or screenshot: [WHAT DOCUMENTS DO YOU NEED TO RENT A CAR?When you rent a car, you need to bring the following documents:A valid driver’s license. Driver’s licenses printed with non-Roman Alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be accompanied by an international driving license.If you rent with a debit card, you will need to show a third form of ID that proves your address, e.g. a utility bill or bank statement, when you’re an in-state renter. ].It cost me additional money and tardiness to my obligations and I still left without a car I valued my experience with the initial employee who provided the vehicle. All other representatives at this location and management need to learn how to exercise a higher level of customer service similar to that of the first gentleman that encountered at pickup of the vehicle.

First rental:Cant speak for any other location but this location was actually great and I was expecting the opposite due to reviews.My pick up process was really good.I arrived at 9 am and had one person ahead of me. I was checked in and out with the vehicle within 25 minutes.I also recieved a comp upgrade for whatever reason which was nice.The vehicle had low fuel at pick up so I was instructed to return it low.Ms.Cynthia assisted me along with doing several other things at the same time and was successful in handling it all. She is a great attribute to this company and deserves a raise.The car was clean,a great make and model ( gmc terrain utl)..I had no complaints!!After returning I was charged a 119.00 fuel fee but it was quite easy to resolve with a quick phone call. I would say to try sixt for yourself because I actually had a great Experience with them and will rent again.Second rentalNever recieved my deposit back and they charged me 59.00 for no reason and its been impossible to contact them. I will never suggest anyone to use them because the customer service is disgusting!I have sent over 5 emails as reaching someone via phone is no longer available and apparently email contacts is impossible as well. I wanted to love Sixt but the company makes it impossible to do so.

I returned my rental last Sunday the 23rd and was told i would get my $200 deposit back and I have not got it back. I have tried several times since and I could not get anyone. The branch I rented it from does not have a direct line, so I had to go through their 800 number and because of the call high number of call volume I could not get through to anyone and hung up on me. How do I get my $200 back Sixt?

Review is long but worth the read in my opinion fellow customers.I made a reservation with Sixt last week for vacation and unfortunately it was an absolutely awful experience. I personally work in Customer Service so I understand COVID-19, complaints, tough customers etc. This was sadly not good all around.To start though, a complement - DeAngelo at your Midtown Georgian Terrace location is literally the best employee Sixt has.Here is the breakdown of our continuous struggle with Sixt:Reservation:You cannot actually reserve at 7 AM despite the Sixt website allowing us to reserve for 7 AM. We woke up at 5:30 AM to eat, get dressed etc and be on time for our departure. Instead we get there and there are confusing and conflicting signs on the doors and on the desk.After understanding that someone wont be in until 9 we leave to come back two hours taken away from the trip aka our PTO right out of the gate.At this point I had emailed, tweeted you all and wrote you a message on Instagram as I am continuously being hung up. As I am on hold now for the 23rd minute an employee for the Midtown location is walking (with absolutely no rush to the shift shes late to) around 9:15.We get an upgrade on the car. Unfortunately, it is not clean and once we start our journey after all the delays - a warning light which we thought was tire pressure. It was not.The car needs oil. So add another 2 hours to get to a Walmart, be on hold to ask what to do with Sixt Roadside, go into Walmart and wait in checkout with the Quart of oil, put oil in.On the way Back to ATL:We make it to Fort Myers and call (calling - bad bad bad experience) to change the car out. It was too scary for us to drive the car with that light on for 12 hours to Atlanta.Rogelio C of Fort Myers WOW! He was amazing. He was the first person and first interaction we enjoyed with Sixt at all. So kind, so understanding and personable. He takes care of us and sends us to do the trade for a new car (which the agent on the phone said we could do) at the desk.We get the exact opposite customer service at the desk. Did not catch his name (lucky for him) but he was incredibly rude and did not even try to listen to us. Thank god Tim the manager of that location was there. Horrible customer service from that one nameless guy though after all we had been through. I am unsure of what training your agents got through but please let DeAngelo just train everyone.That car did have dents and I took photos because with the way things went with Sixt we felt it was safest to ensure you all knew they were there before we even left Fort Myers. You all dont do walk-throughs with the customers so I documented it.The phone system:Please send this to the corporate. That has to be fixed. We were scared about the oil situation on vacation and not being able to reach anyone and having to call back and type in several combinations to get to a human. Honestly I would have risked my life driving in my own car - the entire point of renting a car was safety. Typing it out even frustrates us all over again.You have got to change that. Its a terrible experience AND it truly was a problem (several) and getting to you all was a challenge. It is not intuitive.Email:Takes forever. Please put some sort of SLA in place - like hey we got your email you can expect a Sixt agent to reach out in X amount of time.Thank you for reading through this. We will still leave a review. Renting from Sixt was the worst decision of my entire vacation to Atlanta. I urge you to CHOOSE ANY COMPANY OTHER THAN SIXT if you need a car in Atlanta. Dont make the same mistakes I did.I was visiting for a wedding and had booked a car weeks in advance for a decent price. I showed up the day of to pick up my car and found out that they did not have a car in the class of car that I requested. Ive rented cars in the past from other better companies, and normally that isnt an issue. I understand that sometimes this happens. Usually most (good) rental companies just rent you a different car and honor the price of your reservation.That is not what happened at Sixt. The man working the counter told me the only car they had was going to cost me nearly three times the price that I had booked my car for online weeks earlier. He refused to match the price I had paid in advance for my reservation and told me that if I didnt take the more expensive option he would cancel my reservation and I would be left in Atlanta without a rental car. For me, this would mean missing the wedding that I had flown 3000 miles across the county for.I had no other option but to take the more expensive car. But I learned my lesson and will NEVER go back to rent a car from Sixt again. Ive never had a car rental company refuse to honor the reservation I made online. Every other time something similar has happened from other well known companies I get a free upgrade to the higher class since it is the companies fault that the car I requested was not available. I am flabbergasted that Sixt wouldnt do the same.And as if that was the only issue I had. The car was filthy when we got it. There was spilled makeup on the floor on the passenger side, crumbs all over the center console, and trash still in the doors. Its like they didnt even clean the car before they gave it to me.Save yourself the headache and just use one of the better companies out there. Next time, that is what I will be doing.

So .... let me start by saying they scammed me. I had made a pre-paid reservation before the whole Covid-19 started and once we got a stay home order, I tried to cancel. They would not cancel without keeping 1/3 of the rental, which was sick to me, but I went ahead and tried to cancel to recoup at least 2/3 of what I had paid .... their reservation system would not work or recognize my reservation number so apparently my reservation was never cancelled even though I had several emails back and forth with them! Total scam and the type of company that seems to feel ok about taking advantage of this crazy situation we are in .... Sad. :(

The entire Rental process was a disaster from the beginning. Arrived to pick up the vehicle which was a Mini Cooper (so I thought) which I had just reserved only an hour before. After waiting in line 45 mins outside to be told car I reserved was not available. The only vehicles available were a minivan or SUV. The The Chrysler Pacifica was disgustingly dirty and had not been cleaned prior to me renting it. I can’t Believe they rented a vehicle in this condition during this unprecedented times with COVID-19 being a factor.

Update: I sent an email Sept 19 as requested. I have now sent three. Have yet to get a response.Was excited to get get my car, u til I was waiting... I over heard the lady at the desk try to take full advantage of the couple In front of me who weren’t from America, demanding to sell every insurance package to them, even when the couple said they didn’t need road side service, the lady at the desk continued trying to sell it multiple times. After the couple stepped aside frustrated to try and figure it out, it was then my turn.Not saying anything I went through the procedure hoping it was just an isolated issue. Her attitude came apparent again. When I fronted her on her attitude, and the added complications she created, I pointed out her attitude to the couple in front of me.Instead of dealing with the situation, she canceled my reservation and mentioned she would call security.As I left I apologized to the couple and they thanked me cause they felt taken advantage of and disrespected by the same lady. This review is actually for the Denver location, but I unfortunately cant leave a review on their site because it will not allow me to... Maybe these guys can pass it on...I had rented in Denver just before the Covid virus ordeal. Denver became a hot spot and we were told by health officials not to return our car there. I tried many times for several days to contact SIXT before dropping the car elsewhere with no response. I had already paid a one-way fee when I rented for dropping at a different location in Colorado. When I dropped it in Las Vegas, the only place where I could get a flight home, SIXT charged my around $500 extra for not dropping in Denver.I asked nicely for a refund, but they said since I didnt have pre-approval (I could never get through and they didnt return my call for days), that they would not refund the extra charge.Disappointing, I thought I had found a cool new rental agency to use.

Should’ve checked the reviews here before. Totally derailed my plans because of their strict debit card policy and high deposit. Ridiculous. I don’t really care if it is the the fine print. It’s still high considering the price of the car and the debit policy is much to rigid. Unacceptable.First time using Sixt and I won’t be using Sixt again. Go for Enterprise. This is an awesome location if you live in midtown because you can walk there. We had super friendly service and the prices were great. There was a great selection of cars and they were all well maintained. If you are driving here, parking is limited to the hotel pay for parking area. You could do a quick drop-off by parking in the Indigio or Georgian Terrace hotel registration areas but I would check with the hotel before you leave your car there to go to the Sixt counter.

So my rental was for a week and it was due for return today at 10am. I had booked a reservation for another week for the same vehicle. I arrive at 8:30a trying to be early to get it out of the way. It normally isnt an issue. I’ve been a customer for over a year. Reese who is normally there on Sunday mornings has always been helpful even in time if he couldn’t be he was polite and courteous. However this morning a lady was there (I forget her name) she’s kind of heavy set as has been there for a long time. Anyway she seemed mad bc she said she had to come in for someone bc they called out as if she didn’t want to be there just negative energy already. I told her I was early and that I’m just Re renting the same car for another week. She says she can’t rent me the same car (even though I’ve never had this issue in the past) because she doesn’t have some type of equipment that will let her scan it in and back out again. So I say well I’ll just extend my current reservation. She says that she cannot do that either bc she has already checked it in. When I check my Sixt app it shows my current reservation hasn’t ended yet. So she says she can’t give me back the keys to extend and she doesn’t have a good reason why... it is literally the WORST experience. It normally goes a lot smoother and I’m in and out so I brought my two year old son Jacob so he could “ride with mommy” but had I known it was going to be absolutely horrible and rude experience I would not have brought my son to witness such condescending behavior from a grown woman and in a place of business at that. The lady advised that I take a lyft/Uber............. her service was absolutely disgusting. I myself work for JP Morgan Chase where service is definitely a standard we uphold. So I know good service and bad service when I see it. The last thing I try to tell anyone is No or that “I can’t” because you never know who is going through what or why. This is not my first time witnessing this low level of service from this particular employee. If you don’t like your job then QUIT. You don’t have to continue employment doing something u hate by taking it out on the customers. Such a bad representation for Sixt. Bc I know better.

Of all my experiences with renting a car, it was by far the most pleasant. The price was very competitive, but more importantly, the service was timely, polite and accommodating. Ignoring the standard attempt to push unnecessary insurance, the experience was surprisingly very positive. Ayana, the counter employee, was very professional. It was obvious from the moment I stepped to the location, that the service given to the customers in front of me in the line was outstanding. The car itself was brand new, with less than 13000 miles on it, and clean. The drop process was efficient and pleasant. I am very likely to turn to Sixt first the next time when I need a rental. I definitely recommend to try them first.

Absolutely worst car rental ever. Employees are haughty and condescending, text on their cellphones and take personal phone calls WHILE booking your rental! Booked a week in advance. Upon arrival, was told car was being serviced and would need to wait 30min for it to arrive. 30 minutes later, we were told to await ANOTHER 30 minutes for the car to be cleaned. I requested that we be given another car that WAS available, and was promptly told that because they were of a higher class that they could not be alternated. NOT MY PROBLEM if you dont have the car ready upon our arrival. Once finally ready, AN HOUR AND 15 MINUTES LATER, the cars key FOB would not work and the engine service light popped on. Fast forward a week later, return the car with a full tank we filled A BLOCK AWAY that the receiving employee VERIFIED, guess what? $56 fuel charge on my credit card 3 days after returning the car. AWFUL!! I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN & NEITHER SHOULD YOU!! Booked online & prepaid a month in advance. Got there on time only to be told the card I used to prepay couldn’t be used. (Even though you already took my payment) Then I was also told a paper license couldn’t be used. (Neither of these policies are posted on your website) Rushed back with my regular license and another card & was told I still couldn’t be helped because “in order to use another card, you’d need a new reservation” and that they “had no more cars.” Representative told me he had to “e-mail” off for my refund. Terrible customer service. Should have heeded the reviews posted for this location. We arrived at the desk and there was already another lady all flustered because the car they gave her was dirty from the inside. The insurance policy wasnt clear and the lady was trying to clarify about what was covered and the representative at the desk just pointed at the receipt and said everything was written there. He walked out with the lady to her car without even acknowledging we were there and a courteous Ill be with you in just a few! He returned 10 minutes later, looked at our reservation in my phone and started blankly staring at his computer screen just clicking the mouse button. Then he pulled out 2 phones from his pocket and started texting. He told us he was looking at options for us, but it was pretty obvious what he was doing, since I could see the phones right in front of me. We were told that they did have a car type we requested and proceeded to ask for our credentials which we provided. I thought, great! now we can start our vacation! Then he gave us a frown and said that the car had reached its maximum mileage, so he couldnt give it to us and there were no others available. We were also told that they had a car available an hour ago but since we were late, it was released. He tried calling another location once and said they werent picking up. I politely asked if he could keep trying every few minutes as we wait since there was nobody else in line, and he told me bluntly, and these were the exact words - I have other things to do than to sit around and keep calling, and he could give us their number so we could try ourselves. But there was nobody else waiting to be helped! At this point I asked why I wasnt given a call to say my car was being released to someone else. The phrase my car just came out of my mouth because thats how sometimes we say things. The person got mad at me and told me it wasnt my car, it was theirs, emphasizing a couple of times, and that a lot of people dont show up, and they dont go around calling them all, thats just the way things are. We were told that we could upgrade to a luxury vehicle or make another reservation for the next day. But we had hotel bookings in another state for the same day! Absolutely not acceptable. I had made a reservation well in advance and still couldnt get a car. Poor customer service to make it worse. We took our stuff and went to Enterprise a few blocks away. They gave us a car for 6 days without reservation, 2 days free, waived the additional driver fees, and gave us a discount. I was greeted with smiling faces and felt welcome! Thats what matters in the end I guess!

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!!! BEWARE... Spend your money elsewhere. When I arrived I was told they didnt have a car for me. No explanation or nothing!!! Employee said someone must did not return their car and shrugged it off. Neither did anyone call me before my reservation time to let me know before I made arrangements to be dropped off..They also do not tell you about hidden deposit fees. $500+ deposit required plus the cost of the rental. This by far was the worst rental car experience of my life. First I tried for 2 days straight to call this company with no answer. phone just rang and rang and then disconnected me. Never got in touch with a customer service representative. I tried to call several times the day of rental pick up which was 12/25/16 at 3pm. No answer. I get to the location after having to spend $40 to get to the location not knowing if anyone was going to be there. I get to the 659 Peachtree location and no one is at the front desk. The gentleman finally shows up. He informs me that they do not have the full size rental for my guaranteed reservation. He then went on to inform me that hey it happens the website site will allow you to make reservation over and over regardless of whether they have cars available or not. Really so your company has a fleet of 10 cars and they will allow 100 people to reserve those 10 cars for the same date range. Is it just me or does that make sense to anyone. I am now at the rental car location almost 2 hrs dealing with the most unprofessional customer serve representative I have dealt with. Truly made sure I understood they could give a damn about my inconvenience. He then goes on to let me know that I can give you and upgrade but you got to pay the difference. Excuse me why would I ever have to pay for the upgrade of an vehicle when you didnt have the car I was guaranteed. He even called another location which had the vehicle I needed and guess what NO ONE ANSWERED the phone. I finally ask if I could get the rental a gentlemen had returned while I was waiting for some sort of HELP...... what did I get the nasty car the folks returned. Didnt even bother to try an clean the vehicle. DISGUSTING. After a couple days the maintenance required light came on called and they basically said its nothing, not bring it by let us check it out. they said it was tire pressure no had that check. Then it was the temperature drop.... its was in the 60s - 70s. The rep stated he would check on me being able to return car to airport. U think Edward Ward called me back NO I had to call him back and finally get it squared away. I get to airport to return car and you think the lazy customer service reps came out the both to assist with the return NO. I sat in the car a few mins and finally walked up to the both. They so busy on their cells phone the girl barely even looked up to address me. Pointed to the counter top for me to leave key. I said can you check and immediately she said no I cant pull up anything for you. Well damn what can you do other than provide the worst customer service. I said well I need to know if they actually put in a credit for me to return car to airport. Funny how she was able to pull up information. Then I get a text shortly after asking how my return experience went with Bryan???? Well since no one greeted me my score could only be 0 if no one was present. Then I arrive home to Colorado and get another text stating it was getting close to time for me to return my rental. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE.......WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EVEN IF THE RENTAL WAS FREE. Customer Service means everything to me when Im spending my money. This company clearly has NO customer service standards.

They will embed the extremely high penalty administration fee in the long contract and will not let you know before you complete the contract. I accidentally missed a $4 turnpike in Florida and they charged $30 administration fee for every violation. I called the staff and they just tell me its in the contract and hang up the phone. Its true when you study the foot-long, hardly readable contract. Will avoid in the future.

I thought it was just me, but judging from the reviews of others, I must say that the company should hire their staff more carefully or train them better. Everyone just seems so incompetent. I felt I had to guide them in order to get everything done the right way.When I picked up the vehicle, no one did a walk around with me. when I came to return it, I insisted on a walk around myself and the lady said that there was no damage to the car at the moment of the pick up, even though the trunk and the rear bumper were all stretched up.You could just tell that the damage was done over the time, as it is just impossible to scratch it so much during just two weeks ....so disappointing.

NEVER RENT FROM THEM. SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS. Horrible service. Booked a convertible online, recieved a call the day of my arrival to be told that it wont be available but that I could get a compact or standard car instead. So I asked for the standard car. I was then told that I would get whatever was available on their lot at time of check-in. I said that was rather disappointing and then was told to contact customer service. Well then, if thats the way we treat customers, I cancelled. Unbelievable! Great way to start a vacation. Thanks Sixt for making it memorable. I Will never do business with them again.
