She graduates this year and I didn’t want her going to college in a car that would leave her on the side of the road or cost an arm and a leg. We hobbled into Elder in Athens, TX yesterday at 15 miles an hour (the fastest our Ram would go) with our 5th wheel in tow. Praise God for the people and the owner at Elder. Not only did the owner allow us to park and stay the night in the lot, he also allowed us to plug in our 5th wheel so we wouldnt lose the food in our refrigerator, and we had a water source of we needed!! The owner and staff genuinely cared for our well being. They got our truck in first thing this morning (theyre open on Saturdays) and we were back on the road by 12:45. I went there to buy me a car that would be more dependable than what I had. Unfortunately, I ended up getting a lemon and I am under the 30 days. I requested my money back, was told too late for thThey didnt have anything within my price range to just do an exchange, and wouldnt work with me on a payment arrangement or even agree to pay for the repairs needed to make it a safe car for driving.

I went to Elder in Athens yesterday to get an appraisal on my 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman which I purchased from them in 2019. I was working with Bruce pricing a new 2021 Ram Lone Star and my CLEAN low mileage 2019 trade. Sticker price on loaded 2021 46,895 only wanted to discount by 3,000 and only wanted to offer me $21,000 for my trade. The blue book lists avg trade 27,850 CLEAN trade 29,300 and CLEAN Retail $32,050, LOW BALLing me for sure. They have the same truck on their lot as my 2019 but without my upgrades of spray in bedliner, tinted window and Mopar floor mats that I added for sale for $37,379. I would say they are trying to make a profit of $16,379 more than they want to offer me. DONT GO TO Elder!

I took my Jeep in last week for a routine oil change. It was way more money than I was quoted or expected. James the service adviser is great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I am not however pleased with my service experience. None of my fluids were filled as my invoice said. I even asked them to please check. It was not done. I called the next day and spoke with Alex. All I got from him was a bogus story. I took it to another company for things to be checked and done right. Will start to use another company for routine maintenance from now on. Lesson learned.

Took the car in for a/c not working, they had the car for a week, couldn’t fix the problem replaced the fan motor and then told me they didn’t have the right computer to work on a Nissan to see what the problem could be. Didn’t mention that at the beginning, and somehow were able to rebuild my entire engine last summer without that computer. Poor communication, Pro: They did not charge for the extra labor aside from the fan.

Yesterday, I had a near catastrophic mechanical failure on my vehicle when 3 bolts on my dually wheels broke at the same time. To make matters worse, I was hauling a horse trailer with a horse inside.I was 2 hours from home, 3 hours from my destination and limping through an unknown town to get to somewhere that could help me. Luckily, I found Elder Dodge and James Mullenax, the Service Advisor.Having had horses, James understood the dire situation I was in. He went to work trying to locate parts. Soon, most of the service staff was involved in some form or fashion in the repair and finding the parts needed to get me back on the road.I cannot thank James, Mike, Alex, Mike T. and all the service department staff for working so hard and even staying on the clock after hours to help me. When issue after issue was found, they never gave up and continued to find solutions so I would not be stranded.They have my thanks and undying gratitude. My next Dodge RAM will be from Elder.

They got the job done.It did take almost 2 hrs and the initial estimate was 30 -45 minutes. The staff was courteous but not too friendly.I did have a coupon and I’m pretty sure I didn’t receive the credit. I will pay closer attention next time.

I brought my car in there becuse I felt it driving sluggish and my check engine light was on. They charged me over 100 dollars to change the oil. Get in the car start it up check engine light is still on. One week later my car will not start. I wonder if they even put it on a code reader....

Bought my 2015 Ram Crew Cab brand new from Elder Dodge in Athens. My truck has 99,600 miles and has a knocking sound coming from engine. I tried to get it in and have it serviced before the 100,000 power train warranty expired. When I took it in I was told that I had purchased my truck in May 2015 and it is July 2020 so warranty expired 60 days ago. I was hoping they would honor warranty based on the hardships with COVID 19. I was wrong! Service DEPT. told me I was out of luck. So much for the 100,000 mile warranty!

The service manager took great care of my truck. Service was quick and very cordial. Will bring my truck back here for service.

Brought my truck in for an oil change. Service person informed me I had an oil leak. I never saw one drop of oil on my driveway and a few months later still no sign of a leak. Took it to two other mechanics and both said no leak. Nice try trying to scam me out of 1500! They work on commission! Beware!

Well, the experience was okay, the quoted/final price was great! The problem was that we were told different stories about when the part was actually sent off; I was first told (on Tuesday) that it was ready to be shipped and about to get picked up (that day). I called on Thursday, to ask about something, and I was told that the part would go out that evening! So why did I get two different days? This was after my dad had rented a vehicle from yall.

I took my car all winter 2019-2020 because the lights on the tires would turn on, they put air on them and they laughed and that happened every 3 or 4 weeks for months. I changed shops and they removed the tires in 2 minutes and they were fixed in 3 more minutes.

They will be very awesome when my Jeep is fixed!

I was out of town in Athens when my Grand Cherokee had an issue due to a recall. I called the dealership that I bought the car from and was told not to drive the car. So I then called Elder. They told me to come right in. I was given a loaner car and set up for service and was told that my car would be ready by the end of the day. I was out the door in 10 minutes. The guys were very friendly. Sure enough they called me at 5:00 and had my Jeep ready. That was the best experience I have ever had at a dealerships service department. I would recommend Elder to anyone.

Be very careful dealing with these people... the vehicle was not the issue... I told the loan manager several times that I did not want the Mopar Vehicle Protection extended warranty because the vehicle had aftermarket add ons that voided the warrant, but it showed up on the contract a 3d time and I missed it... It has taken me almost 4 months to get it canceled and a refund to the loan company... Asking the loan manager to cancel it was fruitless, so had to go directly to MVP... They took 2 months and 29 days to get the check cut...Update: Obviously there was a vehicle issue... they applied a recall titled Exploding Airbags by some, required removing the glove compartment and replacing a module, which I am guessing they did, problem is they did not put it back together completely... and just put the remaining screws in the glove compartment...
