Will and the painters for Blue Star did a wonderful job painting my kitchen cabinets. I am thrilled with the look of my new kitchen! The whole experience, from the reasonable proposal, to the timeliness of the work, to the professionalism of the painters, to the quality of the finished work, to the clean-up each day, was excellent. I would highly recommend this company if you are considering painting your kitchen cabinets.

We contracted with Blue Star to have the exterior of our stucco house painted. It became obvious that some stucco repairs were needed first. Through no fault of Blue Star (owner Will Sheils) acting as the General Contractor, it seems that it is very hard to find and schedule a good stucco repair person. Will stood by and supported us as the stucco repair process (that we contracted directly) went on for months. Once the stucco was finally correctly repaired, Wills crew came and did a great job with the prep and painting. Ive already contracted with Blue Star to do some interior drywall repair.Will is personable, reasonable, and stands by a job well done!

We are extremely happy with our full exterior repaint! In the two weeks leading up to our project we were in close contact to discuss dates (weather) and color choices (review samples placed on the house etc.). During the project the crew was meticulous and clean. They also completed our small post job punch list quickly. The job was transformative! It looks like a new house!

When we decided to paint our all-wood house, we solicited six bids from firms large and small and met with representatives of each. From my first meeting with Will Sheils of Blue Star, I was convinced he and his crew knew what they were doing and would stand by their work. I was not disappointed. In fact, even though I had high hopes, the quality of the Blue Star work exceeded my expectations. They did a superb job of scraping and preparation, exposed areas where some of the wood in my old house had rotted and needed to be replaced, brought in high quality carpenters led by Will’s partner, Darden Pickall, to do the work, and then did a fabulous job painting the house. I want to make special mention of their lead carpenter, the late Jose Periera, who was as skillful as he was friendly. The Blue Star crew caulked the cracks between every piece of clapboard, and around every door and window. They put on primer and two solid coats of paint. During a rainy spell, Will and his assistant, Becca Ramsay, kept me posted on when the painters were coming and Will made several stops at the house to check on the progress of the work and to discuss and then address any issues I had. Part of our work involved rebuilding some custom screens for our back porch, and Blue Star brought in Keith Richardson of Keith’s Screen Repair to do that work. They, too, were true professionals and did a fabulous job on our porch. Overall, I liked the idea that these firms were home-grown and part of the community. We could not be happier than we are with the work Blue Star did and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a quality paint job and wants to work with good people.

We hired Blue Star Paint & Property Services last month to paint the entire exterior (siding) of the home we are selling as well as the entire interior of our new home. Each job took about 1 week and the crews at each job were punctual, professional and paid attention to detail. One of the owners, Will, helped us every step of the way. He helped us with coordinating schedules, answering any questions we had and was just an overall pleasure to work with. At least a handful of people have already asked us who painted our home because it looks so beautiful (now they want to get theirs painted too!) Will and his team are fantastic!! I am incredibly pleased with the tile work and painting that I had done in my home. Upon arrival the team walked through the home with me to ensure that the job was set up correctly and prepped all floors with protective covering to make sure that everything was kept clean and tidy. They even wiped everything down after the job was complete; leaving the home cleaner than when they arrived! The job turned out beautifully and the way that they treated my home as if it were their own really speaks volumes about how great of a company Blue Star is. They are a dynamic team with a multitude of capabilities and I cant wait to use them again soon!

They did not do all the work contained in the contract, but still billed us for it, plus there were a number of little and not so little problems with their work. Aberration, given other reviews, maybe, but owner has not once suggested he actually come out and see their work himself. Thoroughly disappointed because the company was highly recommended to us.

Blue Star was fabulous to work with. Blue Star painted the exterior of my home and also did inside work. Will was honest, came out to the house multiple times to check on the job. The crew was top notch. These guys showed up on time every single day, they were meticulous in every detail, and at the end of the day, you couldnt even tell they were here with the thorough clean up. If I could rate them any higher than 5 stars, I would.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! A rude estimator came to my small 1000 square foot condo. I told him I’d like to keep it under 4000 dollars to just paint the walls. He said “Thanks for making my job easy.” Packed up his stuff and left. He said he’d get an estimate to me same day and never even sent me one. If you want an affordable paint job don’t choose this company. Rude employees who just want to scam you and charge you upwards of 5000 dollars for a simple job. I wish I could give them 0 stars.

Love these guys -- they are competent, professional and have gone above and beyond on our project. Their painters noticed an area that looked as if it was leaking. I contacted a plumber, who assured me that the water damage was old and that there was not a leak. Two days later, Dan Green noticed a significant leak. He notified me immediately, with pictures, turned off the water, identified the problem and spent his Friday evening replacing a toilet seal. Thank you Dan and Blue Star.
