We had a wasp nest and two yellow jacket nests. Mt. Vernon Pest Control was responsive, professional and came two days to remove the wasp nest, extract the yellow jackets and applied a white dust that killed any yellow jackets that tried to leave or return to the nest. Two years ago, we used this company to remove a massive hive from the roof/side of our house, and which is why we contacted them again for a repeat of their quality service!

This is our third year using Mount Vernon Pest Control for mosquitos.Shawn has always done a wonderful job and takes his time to do things right. I highly recommend this company. It is also nice to know it is a locally owned company and the person coming out is the owner and cares about his service.

I had my house done a week ago. Shawn was very professional and very informative. Ive had other pest control companies in the past but they are always late and rush. He was on time, took his time to make sure he got everything and I really felt he knew what he was doing. I highly recommend them way better then your average big pest control company.

Do Not Bother Calling - this guy is totally unreliable. Not only did it take him 4 days to get back to me after I had left two messages, but then he fails to show up for the appointment we had set just yesterday. He didnt even call to say he was not going to be able to come. Only after I had texted him did he respond and ask to reschedule. Shawn doesnt seem to take responsibility and doesnt care about the inconvenience and trouble he caused for others.Sorry, but in my world, three strikes and you are out. My goal with pest control is purely preventive and I have been using Mount Vernon Pest Control for a few years now. I have also used the other big name companies as well as a larger local company. None of the others provided anywhere near the level of care and service that Mount Vernon Pest Control provides. The owner, Shawn, will explain the process and products to you; treatments are quarterly both inside and outside; and he is responsive to any problems that might arise between treatments (spiders in the attic, etc.).If you are looking for the best preventive pest control care and want to support a locally owned business, I highly recommend Mount Vernon Pest Control! His pricing is competitive with all of the big name companies and larger local companies.
