As someone who has driven an antique vehicle my entire life, I’ve learned to carefully choose auto repair shops for any kind of car work. When my car was presenting a series of issues, I called over 10 locations… all who tried to price me over the phone, disregard my explanations of what was wrong or simply tell me they didn’t think they could repair it (given the year/ make of my car). It wasn’t until I spoke with Jeff and Jim at Wheat Ridge Muffler & Brake Auto that I felt assured and confident in the right decision to use their company. They took care of all vehicle issues and fixed additional problems I didn’t even know about. They had incredible customer service, had my car ready for pick up in minimal time and gave a great price. I will never go to any Auto Shop for future maintenance or repair work besides them!

I had the catalytic converter stolen from my car. There was also some other damaged that occurred during the theft, so I was left with no vehicle. My car was towed to a collision shop for inspection of the damages. Once this was completed, the shop contacted Wheat Ridge Muffler and Brake to handle the repair job. After evaluating the work that was needed, Jeff from Wheat Ridge Muffler and Brake called, and explained the repair process to me. Once he started working on my car, he found an exhaust leak, a tailpipe issue, and a couple other things. He presented me with options, the pros and cons of them, and let me choose what I wanted (without any pressure). I felt the price was reasonable, and was extremely pleased with the quality work he did to get me up and running again. Wheat Ridge Muffler and Brake is a professional and friendly place. I was treated like a person, and not just a number. I can see why youve been in business for nearly 30 years! Thank you for exceptional service!

Jeff at Wheat Ridge Muffler & Break Auto Car was recommended by another mechanic which is usually a good sign and certainly proved to be in this case. He took care of my cat converter quickly and affordably. Jeff has been at this for a long time and he’s got the experience and knowledge to show for it.

I had an exhaust leak that required new gaskets and bolts. First charge was around $100, Which I was fine with. They later discovered another bolt or gasket needed replaced then the charge was over 300 dollars for 2 more bolts. Which I paid just to get it over with. However, later discovery I could still hear a slight leak which turned out to be a manifold gasket which I had repaired somewhere else for 120 dollars. Makes me think that was the issue all along because it is quiet now. Im not pointing fingers but a little more thorough tests would illude there is still an issue.I feel $360 is a little steep for 4 bolts and 2 gaskets when I can buy a whole muffler system installed for that price. Nice people, just dont feel the pricing matches the work.

Got us in right away and finished the job a couple of hours later. Very happy with the service and how it was handled.

Jeff the owner is a great guy. Honest with his work and timely. I was quoted a higher quote until it was looked at, and ended up paying significantly less for a fix. Friendly staff and would absolutely recommend as an honest business.

I found this place when a friend needed some work done and got great service! Ive gone through several mechanics, from chains to the dealership to a friend of a friend, and have been frustrated. Jeffs candor and honesty, as well as the quality and timeliness of the work done, are the qualities that drew me in and have made me a returning customer. I feel comfortable asking questions and when I leave, I know that the work done is to the standard that Jeff, Anthony, and the other employees would do for their own families vehicles.

OVERPRICED!Got a quote on some simple exhaust work, and their quote ($550-$600) was almost twice as high as the other 3 places I contacted.The person who gave me the quote said Sure you can find someone cheaper, but it wont be the same quality.Well Ive had exhaust work done on 4 out of 5 vehicles Ive owned, with multiple set ups on one of them. and never once paid as much as they were asking. I got the work done for half the price and the quality was exceptional. Not only did they not get my business this time, but they lost my future business. I certainly wont recommend them to any friends or family.

Owner and front desk help are rude and untruthful. Been taking 2 cars there for 5 yrs. 10-15 thousand dollars later and they treat me like weve never met. I could go on and on. So I will in days and weeks to follow. I wouldnt let them try to fix my lawn mower! Crooks

Shop is very state of the art. Mike was very courteous. He went out of his way to make sure I could get a ride back to my office (Which wasnt very far) but it allowed me to be productive and not have to take a lot of time off from my work. I think I would come back here even if I had to drive across town. Prices were competitive but most of all I trust the work and knowledge of the staff to work on my vehicle.

Wheat Ridge has the one element I most desire in auto repair: Exceptional honesty. I brought my car in due to a strange noise the brakes were making. They could have given me several items to repair. Instead they did a thorough inspection and advised me of their findings. They spent about an hour to resolve the issue and charged me nothing. Next time I need a brake job I’ll be heading to Wheat Ridge!

FANTASTIC service. Our van had its catalytic converters stolen. These guys squeezed it in when the van wasnt scheduled to be on a job, and got it done for us and back on the road on the day we just brought it in to see how much it would cost to fix it. THANK YOU!!!

I am a 65 yr old Veteran, everyone always tells me Thank You for Your Service, I thank everyone for their service as an American! So, i am ignorant about auto repair and it is a hit and miss market...I brought my car into a shop and passed a safety inspection, 3 days after that i heard noise and metal in my front and back wheel....I then was frustrated...by fate and a word of mouth I brought my car to Jeff the owner. As soon as I walked in the place it was so well organized and clean etc...Jeff promised me to find the problem! He grabbed me by the hand in a dark room and turned on the light sort to speak! He took control and told me what needed to be done! Every business has to make a profit..The work he did was not only makeing my older car safe but new again sort-to-speak..I realized it was an investment not a loss, as running around trying to find shops for lower prices and opinions, gets very costly and useless!I am staying with Jeff and his work, and as a Veteran, I want to thank him for his service and business he offers to us Americans! Had a exhaust flange replaced, simple fix that required welding. Done very quickly. The service was expensive but acceptable since everything was done quickly and smoothly.

ATLR down the street (those guys are one of the best in town) sent me here because I had an issue that required an alignment. They replaced a part, tightened the front end up and did a full alignment. It drove like new! I didnt realize how much play was in it before. I have been to other alignment shops in the area for similar repairs and they were more expensive. So I think this was a good value and happy with the service (same day turn-around.) For anything alignment-related I will definitely return.

AWESOME CAR PLACE. I’m a young women which makes me a target for auto shops to not only overcharge me but also act like I should know everything about a car and I’m an idiot since I don’t. These guys were patient, incredibly kind, and didn’t try and rip me off. They explained everything to me (politely), got my car in right away and worked hard to have it done before 6 so I could go to the interview I had scheduled earlier that day. Needless to say, I will be taking my car here for every service it needs from here on out. I trust these guys and it is a pleasure working with them.

Our car broke down due to a faulty alternator not charging the battery.We had to get it fixed at Wheat Ridge Muffler because it was the only shop we could get to.They were trying to upsell us the whole time and wouldnt just do the work we asked them to do. I asked to just have the alternator fixed but they gave me no choice but to also buy a new battery.Our car did get fixed and we were back on the road that day but it cost around 700$ for the battery and alternator.Afterwards we started to hear whining when turning the tires due to a lack of steering fluid which had never been an issue before in the 3 years I have had my car.The new battery they sold me also stopped working less than a month later.Not impressed with the service provided.Would not go here again.

Called to get a quote and possibly schedule a time to have my van looked at. Was very rushed and asked for my number to call me back. They never called back so needless to say, I will not be giving this place my business ever

Probably replaces mufflers

High priced. Over 4 times what is normal for the part. Would have taken it somewhere else but was limited by tow insurance.

I went here because of the good reviews. Although they are professional on the phone, they are terribly overpriced. Over $1,200 for distributor, plugs and wires. They also try to upsell you and make you believe your vehicle is unsafe if you dont do all of their recommendations, which was proven untrue for us by a second opinion on our truck. They wanted over $6,000 for repairs on the truck, for repairs that were done under $500 elsewhere. The place that gave the second opinion explained how this place lied about what it needed.

I was on vacation in Colorado when my exhaust started leaking. Came here to get it fixed. Was quoted 900.00 to replace the part. I was not going to spend that much to get it fixed. I waited and went to a local muffler shop back home. Got the part replaced for 218.00 and with a 2 year warranty. Im guessing that if you want to pay high prices you go to Colorado.

Good honest service

Rude and dishonest service. Broke canister oil filter cap and when I confronted the owner he became defensive and denied it. Dont bring your car here.
