Moved in to our home last winter. Temporary line was ran over the snow until summer hit and they could bury it. All local utilities came through in early summer and put their lines in the ground. I called today (end of August) to ask about the status. The response was ... there is a lot of lines to bury, it cant be done in the winter so if we dont get to it we will wait until next summer. I explained it sat through almost all of last winter. Very friendly customer service and i was polite because i realize he doesnt decide when my line is buried and also isnt in the fiekd. MTA needs to hire more people or pay more overtime.

3 times Ive had people come to my apartment to fix my 7 bytes per sec wifi. I pay for high speed. Should be getting a minimum of 72 megabytes. MINIMUM. Every person told me the last didnt know what they were doing and that its an easy fix. Every single one told me its good to go. Lasts maybe a day then back to buffering YouTube videos on low quality.

Limited hours for customer service. You leave your # for call back & no one does. Call for tech support and sit on hold that no one answers. Try online & it doesnt work either. Very frustrating & very expensive.

MTA has still not sent our bill to the correct address after moving 5 months ago. They have not sent a bill via email, which I have requested e-statements multiple times. They do not call with payment requests. They will not set up auto pay on my account because it has been put on payment plans all because of their own mistakes.Because of this, they have shut our internet off multiple times for non-payment, which would all be avoided if they contacted me with a bill summary in the first place. Any other service provider provides a bill in order to get paid. I’d like to see mine so that I can pay you but you keep sending it to god knows where (if it’s even getting sent out).I’m sorry to have confused MTA so terribly by a simple change of address, obviously it’s too much for them to handle. If any other service provider served our house I would switch. Do not use them if you don’t have to. It’s one headache after the next.

My family and i have been suffering through Covid 19 and went a few gigs over. instead of helping out small families as we are out of work MTA has opted to make my bill 230x its normal amount. if they werent a monopoly id be out.

I have been unhappy with MTA for months, but changing providers became second to busy lives. Last Tuesday was the last straw when my business internet was disrupted because the personal internet had been disconnected. The 2 are paid separately and dont have anything to do with one another.. The company can NEVER explain why this occurs. Even NOW while I try to disconnect my service, I have been on HOLD for 1 HOUR & 31 MINUTES!!! They can connect you promptly for a payment but make it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to terminate! Where is the SO-CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE they advertise? ALL LIES!! 👎👎👎

Folks here were friendly and fast. The person I dealt with directly was knowledgeable and friendly, even made sure I still had my login and password since I had moved after calling in the order for service.There was a woman in back who was obviously on the phone with a customer. Even though she was busy, she still smiled and nodded at me. Very nice folks.

It’s unfortunate when an out-of-state company makes an in-state company look so terrible, GCI is right across the street... MTA has continuously disappointed me and is highly avoidable. This company is lazy they do not care about their customers or this state, we don’t have many options but I wouldn’t choose this one. I would not recommend anyone I know use this service or company in any function whatsoever.

MTA always gave good customer service in my 25 year residency. That changed dramatically 2019. I am ELIGIBLE for LIFELINE benefits. First, MTA gave me wrong directions to do this. I explained I was an elder, and lived alone. On 2 occasions I told their undelightful customer clerk I could not get to the office. 3rd try after needing to ask customer service if they could send me the info....duh...that is what they do..never received any help. When feeling better, I visited GCI and on the spot got my discount along with my smartphone purchase.This business disgrace to the Valley sent me a bill for $171 for simple service. Timeframe was 2 1/2 months.BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU report accomplished nothing so far.

When I go in store, this is where I go. Very friendly customer service representatives, prompt service and always doing the best they can. We have internet through them and then today I went in to see about getting cable TV at the house and the girl told me to try streaming instead because it costs less and that if I go in on a different day when the promo starts I will get my Roku box free when I sign up to stream local channels. Thank you MTA! Always looking out for your customers and not making me pay more when I dont need to.

We have been with MTA for over thirty-five years and received nothing but outstanding support & service. Tech support has always gone beyond what I consider the norm and when our son went off to college & life they really stepped it up to provide the day to day support that we had always taken for granted. MTA is the best there is in Alaska!

I have had horrible technical support multiple times here. Today I dealt with Brandon for 3 hours trying to get the Internet to work. First they had not set up a wire signal, then it might be the modem, then he just got rude and impatient and cut me off to say yeah, whatever you are saying the answer is yes. He wasnt even listening. I have wasted my time and money for the last time here.

I think its pretty ridiculous that they lock your services days after you pay your bill without any courtesy to inform you. ALSO to not have a 24 hour service to fix this bs is beyond!!!!!!!! So expensive for terrible and slow service.
