Since opening a PO box at this location, there has been multiple times when they dont put a pick up slip in my box. This most recent time, I had a package sent to me, person paid extra for 2 day shipping and I wasnt able to get it for 5 days. I dont always have a tracking number. I dont always know when Im going to be sent things. But when Im expecting something from someone, I expect them to let me know when I have a package. Thats what Im spending the money on, right? And every time it happens, I get a lame apology.Boxes arent cheap anymore. I want better service for what Im paying for.

Acted the whole time like I was bothering her because I wanted to know the different pricing options and she kept sighing and acting like I was being extremely inconvenient. Horrible customer service associate who doesn’t deserve her job or she needs to be put in the back where she doesn’t deal with people at all.

Had to wait about 10min for help and had to step out of line to tape packages and attach labels. Told her it was normally done for me at another PO but even though she could see I was on a cane and in pain she made me lose my place in line and do it myself which left me there another 15 min when she could if taken care if it in under 5 if she would have just done it herself in the start. Not very accommodating for someone struggling to stand up.

Although there always seems to be a long line, they move pretty fast. Also, if you have to just pick up a package, you can be in and out of there in roughly 5 minutes. Always decent customer service.

I love the caples Vancouver Washington Post office. The employees are so sweet and helpful. I have never heard anything but nice kind words from these employees. I personally have seen mean spirited customers and the employees always remain calm n helpful! Kudos to each of you sorting, packaging, delivering the mail to the citizens. You are right up there with the police, fireman, n medical personnel...a challenging job not alot of rewards but your service means everything to us all. Blessings

We were there for the passport services and the lady there this morning was excellent! I wish I’d gotten her name. She was so nice and even though we were early, she processed our paperwork while the people with the appointment before ours filled out an application. She also managed to get a fantastic passport picture of our almost two year old. I was just so impressed all around!

I came in to make sure that I had the right postage on my tax returns. They gouged me for 9 dollars to mail my package in 3 day mail. 2 weeks have passed and my package still has not been delivered. Calling in is 30 mins to get through the IVR and 60 mins to talk to someone. What a joke.

This post office is corrupted a supervisor name Jeff refuse to speak or call back customers. A lot packages do not get delivered, even though paid for drop off at door (witness my neighbors at 98685 not get delivered). Its recommended if you paid through credit card or etc. & USPS does NOT drop off your package, dispute charges & call & file a complaint at Better Business Bureau enough damage at this location will force a shake up

I have had nothing but the worst experiences with the postal service in Vancouver, WA. The interaction today was no different. I reached out to them to see why a package that was supposed to be delivered on 2/26 has yet to be delivered, and the answer I finally received today from a very rude and very unhelpful representative was that it was...disposed of. So, they took it upon themselves to instead of forwarding it to me, which they had a valid and complete forward on file, disposed of my property. I understand they are probably busy and have many packages to deliver, but I didn’t think they could just resort to throwing other peoples mail away. I also understand that it was only makeup and the value was approx 50$. However the facts remain , they instead of delivering a package they were paid to deliver to me, disposed of it.

I’ve come here and for the most part the staff haven’t been helpful and can be rude...The USPS in general has been very inconsiderate of those of us who live in apartments and are working from home. This place is the worst. Shabby and rundown, imagine the stereotype of the frustrating, slow post office and then imagine this is just a little worse than that. The best you could say about the employees is that theyre indifferent. Some are rude and argumentative. There is one woman who seems like she on sedatives. They usually have her work the front. She seems like shes moving in slow motion. Dont expect to get in and out of this place in any reasonable amount of time. It does happen on occasion, but dont go in expecting it or the frustration level will skyrocket. 45 minutes to ship a package is about the average in my experience. They will also nickel and dime you any way they can. Using a white shipping label? Nope, looks too much like priority. Going to need you to buy a new one or ship priority. Need an extra piece of tape? Sorry. Theres some over there that you can buy though. This place is really a nightmare, and the air of resigned apathy is palpable. If you can, hit up a different branch. Otherwise bring a drink and a snack, and Godspeed.

I would give a 5 but I feel they could work on getting another postal worker at the counter to at least have 2 people working on processing packages. The wait time varies on what the customer brings to the counter really but another postal worker could alleviate the wait. Other than that the postal workers have always greeted me kindly and worked efficiently when processing my packages.

Ridiculous. My whole apt lot has regularly occurring issues with packages and mail being misplaced in boxes or rerouted to the landlords with no warning to the tenants. Id like to say its a management issue but just in this last month Ive had a bundle of mail go into limbo - picked up an unclaimed notice, but after visiting the post office, no mail was waiting for me there, it had no record of being returned to sender (and was over a week before that should happen anyway) and based on the dates on the mail I later got that month, it never made its way back into my box.Newest issue of the month : Waiting for a redelivery - surprise surprise- not allowed to do it online. Automated phone service also rejected my request. The line for talking to a real person? Over an hour. I had filled out the redelivery form and left it in my box, never moved, never redelivered, but new mail was placed on top of my redelivery request. Crossed out old info assuming perhaps it wasnt clear enough, requesting a new date and location. Same issue. BOTH times, redelivery paper not even MOVED, several days passed BEYOND my requested date, with new mail put on top.It takes over an hour to get to this office from where I live, but thats where Im always demanded to go. Im fully expecting to waste another 2+ hour round trip to go down there and have them tell me my mail has magically disappeared again. The clerks are nice and hardworking, but there is definitely something very wrong with whatever is happening - with the carrier, with the mail storage, with redelivery, with their automated tech systems, something.In summary : Use Google to come in when theyre least busy so youre sure to waste the least amount of time. Other than that, good luck getting anything done. Clerks are VERY hardworking and kind but they are surrounded by insulting and ineffective systems that keep wait times high and customer satisfaction low.

I live on 16th street by Clark College. The mailman (dont know his name) stuffed our childs school pictures into our community mailbox. In large words across the packet it says, DO NOT BEND. Now we have a crease down the largest photo, right down our daughters face. Pretty upset he didnt drop off at our door! We also still get mail for a previous resident despite how much we try to send it back. Just overall annoyed. Hopefully someone from the USPS on Caples will talk to him about it, seriously questioning how good his reading skills are.

After years of the same bad reviews, nothing has changed. This location employs some of the laziest idiots mankind has to offer. No one in sight acts like they give two farts about anyone or anything in the building. And the phones.... yep the running joke is still running. USPS on Caples does NOT answer their phones. They simply do not. Is it employee policy to ignore phones during stagnant hours? It seems that way. My brother tested them one time; he went in and called their phone and heard as the phone in the BACK of the building rang off the hook and everyone just stood around. I cant believe Im saying this, but the government should take back over. This place is probably responsible for major economic shortcomings.

LOL i think the building was build in the 60s... Not the 80s but i get you. after a long bus ride you dont want to look at bad decor. regardless of the old wood molding i have never had a problem with service here. everyone is able to answer my questions, and often times figure out a cheaper way to ship things or faster for the same price. i have only had one problem here that was corrected accurately and quickly.

I had a package sent to Puyallup Wa for my sister which contained her Christmas gift. A very expensive bottle of perfume. This package went all the way there and was returned to me broke battered and reeking of this perfume. I am so upset about the lack of care of other peoples packages. I was looking for a post office in Vancouver to mail a letter so I just used my GPS and the post office was 2 minutes away.... On Caples in town, residential st.Lots of PO Boxes, self-checkout, apply for u.s. passport here and letters get picked up during the week because the post office is closed. looks like the post Office closes at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

4 out of 5 parcels in the past 2 weeks have been delivered to the wrong address. Its common practice for the households in our neighborhood to redeliver packages to the correct address after work. Very disappointed. Twice in the last three weeks packages sent to my daughters house from me have gone missing with no trace. Customer service directed me to the carriers supervisor. I am currently incapable of leaving the house because I am over 9 months pregnant with a pinched nerve. My husband is at work during their business hours. I have called multiple times to try and figure out where my bassinet is and they either never answer or I get a busy tone and the phone hangs up. Could you figure out how to actually give service over the phone who find it hard to leave the home? I am extremely frustrated with this, and all I need is a redelivery even though there was never an attempted delivery to begin with. I would know. Im always home now.

This has to be the worst post office ever, the postal person never comes to my door when packages need to be signed. They make me go to the post office and wait 30 minutes to pick it up. If they just did their jobs they would save both me and them time. Also communication here sucks, i complained about this before and no one told me or the window lady that my package was with the postal person. I was waiting at the post office waiting at 8:30 and the first in line. A lady named Deanna (brunette with glasses) opens the door and rudely tells everyone who doesn’t have to pay for something to go to a blue door. I was the first one there, but ended up being third in line where she was working. She helped the two people in front of me, then told me someone else would be with me. She didn’t even tell anyone to help so I was waiting for a good five minutes before I rang the bell and a guy came to help. He was nice, but Deanna had a major attitude with me. One star because I cannot give zero! We recently moved to Vancouver. We paid the $1.00 each for change of address for each of us. We have our name on our mailbox. The mailman REFUSES to deliver mail to us and keeps putting a VACANT house notice in our mailbox. We are not receiving our bills, no mail at all. They refuse to deliver our mail and are returning bills, W2s etc to sender. Its absolutely disgusting that they can get away with this!!

I am a local firearms dealer and FFL, someone at this location gave a handgun to a person that was supposed to be delivered to my shop so the guy could go through the background check and proper legal avenues to purchase a firearm. He tried to schedule a re-delivery and instead you just gave it to him! When I called, the lady just took my info and that was it! I will be following up with the Postmaster and ATF. The persons name was not on the box anywhere and you just gave it to him because he had a tracking number!

I went into the post office and the only person who can help me (Post master) was out on lunch.... I came back the next day and the post master told me that she couldnt help me and the person that did wasnt in today. I was supposed to receive a call the next day and never did. Good luck if your mailbox gets vandalized, and you put your mail on hold there. We are blind, and couldn’t get the license plate of the perpetrators. This happened on June 11. When our landlord went there this morning to discuss the situation, and they claimed that it’s been almosttwo months since we put our mail on hold. So, the retards running the place began returning our mail to sender today. I just ordered two packages and I hope that I receive them, but I have no idea now that this situation has taken place. Ripped me off on postage. I believe the lady at the counter pocketed an extra roll of stamps instead of counting out all four rolls she got tricky and confused the transaction this is done by making sure the back of my credit card was signed and making a big deal of it.... I called in numerous times you can never get ahold Ive anyone there. I filed a complaint with the master offices in poryland. When I finally got a call back the guy was acting supervisor. I finally gave up with the loss of $50.I really do believe they dont have real people there just actors. If you want to purchase anything postage related stay far away from this location. This location proves exactly what is wrong with the Postal system. Severe lack of customer service is the foundation of this office, you can tell that the employees here just dont give a darn. And they project that dislike for their jobs to the customers that come in. To add to that lack of customer service and job hating, you have different employees that tell you different things. One can tell you one thing, and the very next day someone will tell you something else. I just arrived, asked a question Ive asked multiple times before and was told something different than what I was last told. I explained that I keep receiving the run around, and was told wait till 9am then and the employee walked away. Leaving me here standing in the lobby outside the blue doors where Im supposed to go. What happens at 9am? I am not sure, your guess is as good as mine. But Ive been standing here for twenty minutes and no one has followed up with me to see if they can actually help me. Will I stand here for another hour and ten minutes to find out? Im not sure. This office exemplifies every stereotype about the Postal system as a whole. Its embarrassing!

Dont come here if you want your passports renewed. Everyone there are incompetent morons. Sorry for sounding rude but they seriously need to find some manners. Respect others if you want respect but thats none existent at this location. Wont be coming back for a really really really long time unless they get more polite staff. I highly suggest going to another location.

By far the worst customer service. I felt so disrespected at this location. Never shipping my packages with usps, rather spend more on fedex or ups but atleast I won’t be regarded as an idiot.

I wish I could give ZERO stars. I ordered a package from Amazon. The sender said it was delivered on 7/9. I got to my mailbox and it has a key for the package locker in my box, but when I got to open the locker there is nothing inside. Its completely empty. I Called a supervisor at this facility to file a complaint and he said I need to go to the police because the package was probably stolen...First of all if a burglar were to somehow pry open the mailbox, how and why would they be able to lock it back up when they were done stealing my package? There was also no damage to any of the locks/doors. The supervisor said that the suspect probably used pliers. USPS in general is such a joke. I am now out my product AND my money and the people at this office are not holding anyone responsible. I Want answers and yet theyre too lazy to help or they just plain dont want to. I am highly dissatisfied and I really wish that USPS was better at doing their damn job. I tried calling this place a total of 5 times, 4 times it rang and rang and then just goes to a busy signal. RIDICULOUS. If this was not a government run outfit it would be shut down so quick!!!!

Same issues as the other reviewers. For 6 months, no issues, I have a PO Box, with automatic payment from my bank account. The last 4 months they started sending my mail back, even with my account in good standings, and Id have to call the companies (like my insurance) and tell them that my address is still good. Then the past 2 months I get emails from post office saying my account is cancelled because of not receiving my payments - BUT IM ON AUTOMATIC PAYMENT!!! Suddenly its an issue? that makes no sense. So I speak to the lady at the front desk to ask her why this all keeps happening. She then takes my number and has the PO Box Supervisor call me. I said Hello. He said, Yeah, you have a problem with the PO Box. I began to explain what was going on, he interrupted me and said, your problem is that we havent received payment. I said, well first of all, I dont have a problem, second, Im on automatic debit, I have plenty of money in my bank, you all keep sending me messages that youre going to cancel my PO Box, and over the last 4 months I have mail being returned randomly. He said, well, your problem is you havent paid since July. I said, Im on automatic debit, so this shouldnt be an issue. He said, well you need to call your bank. I said, I dont think my bank is the issue, but this also doesnt explain why my mail gets returned for 4 months now when my account has always been in good standings. He once again said, well youre problem is you havent paid since July. I said, I think Im just going to go ahead and disconnect my service at this point. He then hung up on me. LOL....I hate to say it, but the stereo type seems to hold true. Typical Union worker postal employee, doesnt care - THIS IS WHY THE POST OFFICE HAS LOST SO MUCH BUSINESS - Use FEDEX, UPS, or other services folks, this place is a joke and you cant trust them.P.S. THE LINES ARE ALWAYS LONG TOO, AND TAKE FOREVER, GOOD LUCK.
