I had an issue with the HDMI ARC connection on my LG OLED TV. Dan was very helpful on the phone helping to sort out the issue. He suggested it could be the main board, which corroborated some reports I had read when I googled the issue. Since it’s a 65 inch TV, we had to arrange a house call. He was able to identify the board and order it ahead. When he came yesterday, he replaced the board in about 15 minutes. It actually took us longer to get the TV back on the wall! Hooked everything back up, and ARC works again. Dan was friendly and professional throughout. He even offered to leave his shoes off while he was in our house, which is a little thing that I really appreciate. I would definitely use his business again.

I have a 10 year old 45 Samsung tv that the sound had become so distorted as to make it unwatchable at any volume level. Knowing it was a long shot, I made several calls last Saturday trying to find a tv repair that makes house calls. The first place I called was Ablemans and the owner explained that he doesnt do house calls because hes a one man shop. He did refer me to A-1 TV & Electronics. I thanked him and immediately called them. Dan, the owner of the family business and who took over for his dad answered the phone. Within minutes he gave me a time to call him on Tuesday to set up an appointment. He confirmed that Id be better off keeping my TV and replace the speakers with a Yamaha soundbar. I received a senior discount on the service call charge and he does make house calls utilizing safe practices. He gave me an hour window in which to expect him and when he saw hed be running late, he called me. I explained that I wanted the soundbar paired with my Xfinity remote and he was able to do that. He took the time to explain how the soundbar remote worked and how I could adjust the sound based on what I was watching be it a movie, concert etc while adjusting the subwoofer (bass). He told me not to hesitate to call if I had any questions or problems. Dan was easy to work with and answered my questions. I highly recommend A-1 TV & Electronics for their professionalism and knowledge. I will be adding their name to my list of locally owned family businesses that I use for future repair needs. I have a power supply from a 30 year old vintage computer workstation, I bought it in, with nothing other than a printout of the output voltages. A-1 was able to isolate the faults and fix the power supply. I recommend A-1, they truly have great knowledge of electronics.

I took my my VCR player in for repair and they got it running. The front desk service was friendly and comfortable. This is a business I recommend and will use again. The CD changer in my car has jammed and I dont have time to dig into it.

Hey one was easy to find and the service was great

Brought in my record player and was given a bid. Everything seemed great, they seemed trust worthy. Few weeks later I pick my record player up. Bring it home and its not reading the records.I was accused of doing something with it like touching it while it moved. After multiple times of saying all I did was turn it on and push play they told me to bring it back in. Thinking they were going to fix whatever mistake they had made. Nope they charge me even more. They look at it again and a metal wire is frayed and they tell me they can’t replace it. Only put it back on and wait til it breaks. Well after playing maybe 25 records, its not reading the records again. Spent over $600 for nothing. The record player being my grandpas that had just passed so I just wanted it fixed and was blindly trusting this company. Maybe their great with other electronics but record players no.

We have an old 1980s combo radio, phonograph, cassette and 8 track player. Could not find anyone who would work on it. Went on line found this small company took it in and in one day got it back everything works.Very pleased

We needed someone to help save us from the Samsung misdiagnosis by another Samsung recommended company. These guys came out, helped properly diagnose the problem, helped us obtain the parts needed in a way that saved us hundreds and then installed the parts. Our TV is working again and at about half the cost of what the other Pretty Disappointing Quality company wanted (for the wrong parts at that!).Highly recommend these folks. They are honest and reasonably priced.

Great pricing for repairs, and exceptional communication.I was gifted a broken TV, and A-1 took it in for repairs the same day I called in. The other store in town basically told me to fix it myself. When the replacement part was delivered later than expected (at no fault of this business,) I was called immediately and informed of the situation. They were also understanding when I wasnt able to pick up the TV right away and held onto it for me for a couple days.I highly recommend A-1.

Dan communicated thoroughly about what can be done to fix my 3.5mm tv jack that was damaged on my 10+ yr old tv. He gave me a couple options that could be done to fix it. In the end they were able to fix the tv using a different jack on the tv (that I never used) to replace the dysfunctional jack saving me $100+. Was also very informative about the quality of current tvs on the market vs. tvs of the past.

Our LG tv was not recognizing any of the inputs. A-1 performed a diagnosis and found a faulty motherboard. Repair was done over holidays and A-1 provided a comparable loaner set. Dan was helpful and responsive to requests and questions. Repair was a little more involved than originally diagnosed...Dan provided repair updates and A-1 did not request to change the original bid estimate.

Dan was super helpful repairing our OLED TV that was only 2 years old and didnt even have much use. The main circuit board went out. He helped with ordering the parts and coming to fix it at our house. He was very quick to help do what was needed to get us up and running again. In this time of COVID-19 he was also very considerate wearing a mask and keeping distance at all times. We appreciate it and would recommend A-1 TV & Electronics for all TV repairs!

I went here, showed a video of my glitchy screen and how it was jumping. I was told it there was a 80 % chance it wasnt the screen. Than I paid the nonrefundable DP, like a week or two later. Brought my tv in and waited a couple days. Decided to go check in on it. Owner was there same guy I showed video to. He said can help you. I said my tv was here and waiting for it to be fixed. He found it just went to work on it. Took off the back cover, plugged it in checked out the screen and instantly said yeah it looks like a faulty screen, that it would need replaced. I said but you told me that it probably wasnt the screen when I showed you the video. He said what video I dont remember watching a video or meeting you. Plus I would never say that it wasnt the screen if this was the problem described in the beginning. I was like Im not lying I would like my Down payment back because I wouldnt throw 350 dollars to replace old tv. He became offensive when I said that he said that it wasnt the screen and that he wouldnt give my money back. He acted upset and offended saying I was calling him a liar. This guy is a scam artist. He screwed me out of 80 dollars or whatever before black Friday. I ended up arguing with him, he called me names and I took my tv ended up buying a new one. My malfunctioning tv is still in storage. Swindler, con artist, liar, this was 2019. Or so. Dont go here unless you got money and know what your problem is. I was in need and still got screwed. Was without a tv for like 4 months. Plus a dryer at the time, so I was hoping for a break and a possible fix to a tv problem. First time experience going to a repair shop. It was not good, he is unbelievably narcissistic deplorable no character or accountability. If your in need and looking for help your gonna get takin advantage of here, hide your kids hide your wifes because I wouldnt trust them here alone, after being treated the way I was here unbelievable, and Im a man. I could only think of what might happen if this guy had opportunity to play with someone else.and yeah Im sure Its the right place I live near by. Thief!

I had called A-1 TV to see if they could help diagnose a problem with my big screen TV. At first I thought it just a lamp issue. It turned out to be an overheating problem common in that year and brand of TV. It would have been an expensive fix, and my TV was only a couple years old. Dan the owner and his co-worker Galen put me in touch with the manufacturer to see if they would do part of the repair for this known defect.. As it turned out they did! I really appreciated Dans helpfulness and his product knowledge. When Galen came to my home to re-install the TV, he was polite and punctual. Their rates were fair and reasonable. I highly recommend A-1 TV.

These guys are simply amazing. Our Phillips Flat screen was having problems. Dan came out and gave it a look. After duscussing with us as to what is going on...we decided it needed to go into the shop to fix.As it was our only TV that was disappointing...but he then gave us a couple of offers on sets he had in the shop. He offered another one of similar size for a great price...but when we got ours back we would have no room for both.The smaller one he then offered turned out to be a great deal...but since his shop was closed...we would be without until the morning. I lamented that I could not just follow him to his shop and buy...he said he normally would do that..but he had another call. He offered to call me after that and come meet me and let me grab the other TV. That worked out great. Plus...we both talked about our joint interest in Sci-Fi and games....probably a little longer than we should...but that is what fans do...especially me. :)I would not hesitate to use his services again...and highly recommend him to anyone who need TV and related stuff worked on. I know I will.

This place is the best. I called Dan on Memorial day to see if he had a bulb for a projection tv. The shop was closed for the holiday but he decided to open to help me out. I brought the bulb and housing in and he changed the bulb very quickly. The price was very reasonable and he uses oem bulbs, not the cheap ones so the bulb should last a long time. And Dan is very nice and helpful. He told me about a couple of adjustments that I could make to a L.C.D. or a L.E.D. type T.V. to make them last longer, nice!!! I will definitively be using his services in the future.

My TV went on the fritz with an intermittent problem, so I took it to A1 to have them look at it. I waited a week and they finally looked at it and told me that the problem was *probably* the t-con board. Its a common problem for Samsung TVs like mine, a fairly safe bet for them. So they ordered a replacement which arrived a week later, at which point I was told that they had ordered the wrong thing because it looked the same. It turns out the t-con board for my TV wasnt being manufactured anymore so they needed to order a used one. They did that, a week later they received it and found the one they received was bad. Its a part thats known to go bad, it was used, so okay, a little bad luck and they ordered another one. Another week and that one arrived, they installed it and called me to tell me everything was ready. Great! I thought. The only problem was I was out of town for a family emergency and asked them if they could store my TV for a few days until I returned. Their response was Not really. Were very busy and you need to have someone come pick it up. So they have my TV for a month, one week of that due to their screw up, finally get it done and they cant even store it for a few days. Fine, whatever, I was looking forward to having a working TV again so I sent my father to pick it up. I get home a week later and finally get to use my newly fixed TV. I turn it on and the very first thing it does is exhibit the same problem I took it in for. So it took a month and $200 to be back in the exact same spot, a broken TV and no idea whats wrong. At that point I was done with A1, it was an awful experience. They guessed at what was wrong, charged me a bunch of money, and couldnt do the smallest thing to help me out (i.e. storing the TV for a few days). Id look elsewhere if you have any problems with your TV.

My PA system needed repair. They repaired the old solder points that were cracked and even fixed some cosmetic damage. The ending cost was less than the estimate. Very fast, friendly and reasonable.👌👍

I have had other issues with the TV since then and he is always very helpful over the phone...even helping me update the software at no charge. He stands behind his work and helps his customers out. I wouldnt go anywhere else for TV advice or repair.

Very pleased with the service we received. Our Samsung Plasma went out, and Dan came out the next day, took the boards that needed fixed, and brought them back fixed within 48hrs. I had a JVC branded VCR that needed repair. The technician explained to me that my VCR was beyond repair, but they had the same model in operating condition available. I got the replacement VCR and was happy for the satisfaction and reliable service from A-1 TV.

I brought a circuit board in for the fuel injection system on my truck. Had about 24 joints resoldered in less than an hour. Truck works perfectly now and saved me several hundred dollars over having to go back to the dealer for another circuit board.

I worked with Dan for several weeks trying to troubleshoot a complicated picture problem with my TV. Long story short, Dan was persistent, honest, fair, and responsive during the whole process. Although it turned out the issue was too expensive to fix, he then gave me a very fair deal on a rehabbed TV and a one-year warranty on labor.
