Terrible experience from start to finish.This is a generally unprofessional dental office. Literally my worst dental experience of my entire life.

I am so glad i chose this dental office. Everyone here is absolutely awesome. I always feel relaxed and that I am in the hands of a very competent and professional staff, who are also friendly and fun. I highly recommend this office if you are looking for a dental office where you can feel comfortable and confident you are receiving the best care😄

I went for months without seeing an orthodontist. I was finally seen and given another appointment six weeks after.I went to my appointment and they told me I would can’t get see for another three months because they can’t keep an orthodontist.The staff is rude and Dr. Belle cares about money he does not care about his patients well-being!If you care about your family and wanting to have a dentist office that cares about you and your family definitely FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE Who values your time and your money...

Im very upset, that this place can’t get me a single appointment that doesn’t take months, the only response I get is they are full and can’t take any more patients till September, take notice I haven’t had my braces changed since April, plus I’ve had a bracket broken which they had to replace but didn’t, and even then my last appointment got pushed back more then 3 times because the orthodontist couldn’t make it on each occasion, I’ve been a client for 5 YEARS! I’ve had my braces since I was in 6th grade now I’m about to enter 12 grade. And I typed all of this just so I can get a useless response from coast dental which they just copy and paste. Im quite upset and disappointed knowing coast dental could/can do better

Very unprofessional. When I scheduled the appointment with them, I explained my situation. I told them that I have braces and I have an appointment with my orthodontist on March 31 to replace the wires. Replacing wires is done in one sitting but because I want to do the cleaning, I need to go to my orthodontist first to take the wires out, then come for cleaning, and then go back to my orthodontist to put the new wires.I asked them if 1 and 40 minutes is enough for cleaning so I can make the second appointment with m orthodontist. I told them that I will be leaving the country two days after the appointment so the cleaning should be done on that day. They said 1hr and 40 minutes is enough and scheduled me for 2:30 p.m. I was at Coast Dental 15 minutes before my appointment although I had completed al the paper work before hand.I was waiting in the lobby 15 minutes passed my appointment time when I asked the front lady what was going on. She said they are running behind and the doctor will see me in a few minutes. This few minutes turned into another 45 minutes. So at that point I was waiting for 45 minutes (30 minutes passed my actual appointment time) and I was finally called. I sat in a room for another 15 minutes so I can have my X-rays taken so the hygienist can decide if I need normal cleaning or deep cleaning. I told that they need to take two types of X-rays and my insurance only pays for one of them so I have to pay out of the pocket for the other one. The hygienist also told me that there is no enough time to do deep cleaning if its needed. So, I basically I needed to pay out of the pocket for an examination and doing the cleaning wasnt guaranteed.I do understand running behind the schedule happens BUT for 45 minutes? And why I wasnt notified about it although I explained my situation in advance.

Ive been dealing with a billing issue and appeal issues for months dating back to approximately 1/2020. Since January, Ive been calling my insurance and coast to resolve this issue. The billing department of coast now refused to send over anymore information to appeal my case. Ive discussed this with my insurance who have called them and left messages and now wont even return calls. Very frustrated.

This is absolutely the worst orthodontics office ever. I have had to reschedule 7 apointments. My wires are literally scratching all of my gums the rubber bands are breaking and they will not see me. I have paid the whole 5 thousand dollars of ny hard earn money to just have them steak my money and not work on the braces. I should have had to take it out over a year ago. Complete este of money. If you value your money do not get coast dental.

I have had the worst experience with this company. 3 years ago I was highly recommended to get Invisalign. When the orthodontist went to put some brackets on he filed my tooth down too much to the point that it’s super thin on the bottom (this happens to be my front tooth). I complained, and they said they didn’t see anything wrong with it. After loosing some of my Invisalign trays and giving me the wrong ones they offered me a free bleaching at the end of my treatment for all the inconveniences. After this I decided to get regular braces. I have been through 4 different orthodontist with this office and the last one hasn’t seen me in months because he’s always out or sick or whatever the case may be. I was due to take my braces off this past February and I still have them on. Yes, quarantine pushed me back two months and I’m okay with that, but the fact that the orthodontist is never in office is a problem. Also, I was transferred to different offices twice because they changed the days the ortho was coming to my original office. Since this happened I’ve gotten at least 3 calls from the other office saying I’m due for a cleaning after I’ve told them several times (including my last visit there) that I was transferring back to my original one. This company sucks and I do not recommend anyone to come here. They just sent me a message asking me to reschedule my appointment this Wednesday because the ortho is not available again. At this point I just want to take my braces off and never come back to this place.Thank you Coast Dental for giving me the worst experience ever.**update**Finally saw an orthodontist on me last visit in April. They scheduled me to get my braces removed, but because the doctor only comes into office ONCE a month to do this kind of procedure, the first available date to take my braces off is JULY 7th. So April to July I have to keep them on just because. Once again, please do not chose this company. Not worth the money.

Was very impressed with this dental office. Its so clean, the staff is so professional, and they are very knowledgeable. Natalie does an incredible job at explaining what shes doing and why, and making you feel comfortable. Juanita is at the front desk and is so helpful with appointments and insurance. My previous Coast Dental location temporarily closed so I had to switch to this one to get some work done. They honestly have the best staff. From the admin at the front, to the hygienist, to the dentist (Dr. Dillon Bale) I had such a great first experience with them. The dentist did a thorough job and really went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I really appreciated that.

Either this dentist needs more experience or is only interested in lining his pockets The general dentist at this office is the owner of this office. He is more interested in making money than the needs of the patients. The dentist did not refer me to an Endodontist, before he put a crown over my tooth, with an amalgum filling still in it. While he was giving me the crown, he shaved my tooth down and did not reach the nerve with novacaine, after 6 Injections. I was in excruciating pain the whole time, after he said the tooth didnt need a root canal and to just put a crown on it.. After the crown was seated, I had to get the crown ground down 6 times because it was not seated correctly. pushing on my other teeth causing pain. Then I had to get $1200 root canal through the crown. I do not wish this on my worst enemy. I would not send somebody to this office or even think about going to this office again. The dentist was very rude ,and he told me I didnt know what I was talking about. Worst experience , ever!

I love this dental office the staff is super friendly and helpful. The hygienist Natalie is super fast and accurate with cleaning my teeth and so sweet! The dentist Dr. Bale is super affordable and sweet as well. Im so happy I found this office next to my home in South Tampa.

Of the many uncertainties that come along with relocating, finding quality health care providers is top of the list. After having been with my previous dentist for 20+ years, I was nervous about my dental care in Tampa. From the phone call to set up the appointment to the x-rays, cleaning, and everything in between, the friendliness and professionalism that was given by the team at Coast Dental was beyond exceptional. The way they treated me, other patients, and even the mailman was genuine and authentic. It is evident they take pride in their work and service to their community. They treated all of their patients and their team members with respect, they were fast yet detailed, and they placed value the care they were able to give. I’m so grateful to have found such a great practice to call my new dental office!

This place doesnt care about their patients time at all. Everybody in the waiting room has been here for over an hour.

Wow amazing experience. Fast very friendly. I had a problem with the previous coast dental located on fletcher ave with my insurance authorization. This people took care of it the same day and i was able to receive my deep cleaning thanks to them my teeth wont fall out. Great staff and natalie amazing.

I cant say enough about Dr. Dillon Bale and his staff! They truly went above and beyond and Ive never been more thankful. I had a dental emergency and my insurance was out of their Network. Reena (sp) the receptionist is absolutely amazing! If it wasnt for her Id probably still be in pain and searching for a dentist, She called everyone she could, worked through her lunch and did everything she could to get my ins to pay out of network and get approval. She also went above and beyond for 2 other patients..shes definitely a blessing. In the end it didnt work out as planned due to circumstances beyond our control but I was thankful and appreciative for all her hard work. Dr. Dillon called me the next morning and me to come in and he was able to help me at no cost! Hes an amazing dentist, has a great personality and bedside manner as well as an amazing staff! Doesnt hurt that hes amazingly handsome as well! His assistant is amazing too, shes kind, caring and very reassuring. She was a comfort to have with me during my procedure. Ive never been to a cleaner, friendlier office and the staff cannot be beat. I cant even find the words to thank them enough...they did everything they could to help me and Ive never been more grateful! They are truly a blessing and Ill definitely pay this forward! Ill refer everyone I know to this office, Ill be changing my insurance so I can continue to go to this office (at this point Id pay outta pocket just for the experience, theyre amazing)! I could have asked for a better experience with obviously the best dental office in Tampa!

The practice at this place is amazing. aside from having to get a root canal and a couple other things this place is one of my favorites. i highly recommend to anyone looking for a dentist office to go to. yerenia is my favorite person at this place because she is very welcoming and so so so sweet. my first day, yadira and yerenia both gave me hugs galore and made me feel special. the dentist is a hoot! all in all these people made my stay at coast very enjoyable

First time I have ever been to this dentist! Their staff and service are phenomenal! Although I have to drive 20 min to get to this location I will definitely keep coming here, it was so worth it!

If your time is valuable..If you want your business to be appreciated..If you have to coordinate your work time with your dentist appointment with great difficulty..If you dont want to be rescheduled months out without a crown where it should be and an incomplete root canal..If you dont want to be pushed around like inconvenient furniture..RUN. Find a real practice.I dont know how I fell into the Walmart of dentistry, but it wasnt smart. Dont be like me.

My best experience at a dental office since childhood. Everyone was so helpful and kind - the front desk staff, the dental assistant, the dental hygienist, and Dr. Bale. I was given a super easy to follow summary of everything that was going on with my teeth- and all of the work I needed to have done. The invoices for my services were so easy to comprehend - and they asked me multiple times if I had any questions/needed clarification. This office really cares about their patients and it shows. I will be coming here routinely from now on.

Total disaster. Went in there for a filling and walked out with a crown that had to be redone three times and still isn’t right. Went in there for the fourth time to get it fixed and was told I needed to get three more crowns for things that could be filled. Record keeping is a mess. I was lectured about how little I knew about my teeth. The dentist told me that he went to eight years of school and so I shouldn’t question what he was doing. After asking a couple questions he became very upset and told me I didn’t know what I was doing and I shouldn’t have so many questions. Needless to say I am finding a new dentist and will not let these guys touch my teeth ever again. The dentist’s reaction was so baffling to me that I’m still trying to make sense of why someone would act like this. Reminds me of someone who did something wrong and he’s trying to cover it up because they will not admit a mistake. Incredible. I’m moving on.

Dr. Bale was AMAZING as well as Debbie! I haven’t been to the dentist in years and they made me feel right at home! LOVE this place!!! The dental hygienist is the sweetest. Staff all around is phenomenal and service is fast and efficient! Never going to another dentist! Highly recommend!

Awesome place to get any kind of dental work done! The entire staff - from scheduling to cleaning to major dental work- every single person is very knowledgeable and friendly which makes the experience so much better! I’m not one to enjoy going to the dentist but since I’ve found this place on Dale Mabry in South Tampa I’ve had nothing but great results and it was all pain free!! Thank you to the Coast Dental staff for being so wonderful at what you do and providing a great atmosphere!

Natalie is the best dental hygienist I’ve ever had! She takes her time to explain what she’s doing, is diligent and extremely friendly. She remembers personal things we spoke about 6 months ago during my last appointment, which really makes all the difference (because I hate going the dentist). Highly recommend Natalie and this location!

The staff at Coast Dental was phenomenal! Everyone was patient and hospitable, they really took the time to make sure I felt comfortable. Dentists usually make me nervous but this staff made my experience super enjoyable. All of my nerves instantly went away. Nathalie did my cleaning and she was so sweet. Came in because I had sensitivity to sugar on one tooth, I pointed out the specific issue and location. Got over $2000 of work done along with a complication leading to me needing a root canal, and I still have the same sugar sensitivity. I am very frustrated because despite voicing my concerns they were ignored.

Dr. Bale and his assistant were Awesome! They both were friendly and efficient. The dental hygienist Natalie was so sweet and quick. Very pleased with my first visit. I highly recommend going here!

Friendly and helpful staff! The exams, x-rays and cleaning are all done efficiently and without discomfort. My only suggestion would be for them to give goodie bags to patients like most dentists (just a regular toothbrush, floss and/or small toothpaste) - it would go a long way to add to the experience and make each patient feel special, even if its just for new patients.

My boys and I were looking for a new dentist and discovered this place. All 4 of us had a great experience from, welcoming, friendly, experienced staff to the excellent dental care we received. I really enjoyed, that the staff took their time to explain necessary treatment options so that an informed decision could be reached. Were looking forward to our next cleaning.

*6 MONTH CHECK UP 6/18/19 came back for my 6 month cleaning. Had Nathalie Rojas as my technician. She was so supportive and sweet. Going to the dentist can be scary but her calm voice almost had me falling asleep in the chair. Service was thorough and I was in and out in under an hour. Still a good experience.* I’ve been coming here for years and this was my best visit. Everyone was so nice. My technician Alina was amazing!! She was so attentive. Talked me through everything. Always had a smile. The doctor was funny also made me feel comfortable in what is usual a nervous situation for people. A+ service

Priscilla is awesome! She mentioned I had a balance due and I couldnt figure it out. She spent extra time to print out and calculate every payment from me and my insurance. My children and I had a wonderful experience at Coast Dental in South Tampa. We were taken care of by the staff from the moment we stepped in the door. They were kind and patient with my kids and explained everything to me in great detail with their orthodontic treatment plans. They even added on one of my kids without an appointment. The payment options and terms were clearly defined and presented. My family is looking forward to a great orthodontic experience with Dr. Nelson and Coast Dental South Tampa.

It too bad I cannot leave 0 stars. This dental office misinformed us about my daughters appointment for their Endodontist. We were led to believe the appt was for treating the tooth, however, they contacted her a day before the appt to confirm and stated it would only be a consultation. We needed a referral from our general dentist to even make the appt. The general dentist confirmed a root canal was required. The day of the appt, the receptionist would not accept her referral that was provided by the general dentist 2 weeks prior when she was there for her 6 month cleaning and x-rays. They made her contact the general dentist to provide another referral because they dated it for last year. These are both Coast Dental offices mind you. The general dentist was aware we were at the Endodontist appt and knew to fax/email the referral ASAP. After 25 minutes, they still hadnt received the referral from the other Coast Dental location ( her general dentist). The receptionist refused to contact the other location to resolve the issue. The customer service is awful at this location. No one wants to work or knows how to do their job. We drove an hour to this location. My daughter finally was extremely frustrated and walked out. I will also be contacting the corporate office. They were going to charge her a fee for the consultation when all we wanted was to have the root canal performed. Bad business! I do not recommend unless you like wasting your time and getting frustrated.

I believe giving credit when credit is due. This is the best dental experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I stepped into the very clean reception area of the dental office, the receptionist, Amanda, greeted me with a smile and had a very positive friendly demeanor. She checked me in and the wait was less than 5 minutes. The dental assistant was very educated, thorough with my x rays, and talked with me about my exam I would be receiving that day from the dentist. When I met the dentist, Dr. Patel, she immediately made me feel at ease and didn’t pressure me to to make any hasty decisions about my treatment plan. I asked her if she could go ahead and fill a small cavity that we both agreed needed immediate attention. She has a fantastic bedside manner and a gentle hand which is a huge plus, especially if you are a nervous patient. I will be returning to this office in the future for all of my dental needs. This is the type of dental office South Tampa needs!!

I have not had a good experience with Coast Dental in South Tampa. I’ve had to return several times for whitening trays that where not done correctly. First time the office manager incorrectly trimmed them, second time they were cut too much by the hygienist, which made me return a third time. I was going to try a night guard that was suggested to me. I setup an apt to ensure they fit correctly. When on my way I called and was told no doctors would be in the office that day. This was very upsetting because I had taken more time again off work to do this. I was given such an ordeal by the office manager who is a rude woman. When I told her that I was unhappy she said I was the only person who feels that way. Not quite the response you should give in customer service. I decided to request a refund for the night guard I have not received. This all happened in October with no refund still and we are at the end of January. Corporate office does not return calls. Going to the dentist can be expensive and an uncomfortable experience, so you want to go somewhere you trust and can feel comfortable. I do not trust this place and will not be returning. Terrible service from a front desk and corporate office standpoint. Hopefully someone will reach out to me soon and return my due refund.Update. I received a below request to reach out to the office. I have still not been given my due refund and have had no one reach back out to me. The worst service I have ever received. Coast Dental has not given me a product I paid for and is keeping my money. This is theft. We are going into 4 months of non payment. I do not recommend anyone go to this place. A lesson of this is take your time and find a private service provider that cares about their patients and their practice. Coast Dental, do the right thing and fix this situation.

The staff is very professional and friendly. I came to them for help with a broken crown and they were able to replace at less than 1/2 the cost that was quoted by another dentist. I Highly recommend this office.

Made appointment as new patient for cleaning and xrays. They took xrays then said to schedule appointment for cleaning. They blamed this on being busy due to Covid. Just made excuses for their poor communication and lousy customer service. If you want a dentist that treats customers well, dont go gere.

I loved my experience at Coast Dental. The receptionist did a great job of welcoming me into the office and coached me through every step of the process from beginning to end. It seems like everyone in the office have a good relationship with each other and that shows off in the way they treat their customers. I would recommend this office to everyone with dental issues. My husband John Spano was at this location Tuesday for an 845 appt. The whole staff were courteous and most accommodating. Dr. Patel is great and our Dental Hygienist Ann was awesome. We will be coming back.

BEWARE: I used to go to this office -they advised deep cleaning and antibiotics - I bought it the first time and my bill was over $1,000 - then I was told I needed a cleaning every 4 months to maintain and the quote was over $500 - ridiculous!!!I thankfully switched to Greenberg Dental in Britton Plaza and they give me the same services with amazing customer service for less than $200 per year for my cleaning and X-rays and exam every 6 months- AVOID COAST DENTAL!

Natalie always take good care of my teeth! I really like this location while waiting Riena, Carol And Anna keep me entertained with great conversation. Great Job ladies!! And I drive an hour and a half to visit this location!!!!!!

Dr. Bale is a great dentist. I am one of those patients that are terrified of the dentist thanks to past bad experiences... but Dr. Bale takes his time explaining everything thoroughly and makes you feel not so anxious. The rest of the staff are really nice.. and the hygenist does a great thorough job... even though the cleanings are kind of uncomfortable.. she talks you through them and makes sure you are as comfortable as possible. Thanks for dealing with me. :)

I had an extraction and new bridge built wherein Dr Patel and her assistant Jo were extremely gentle, professional and mostly knowledgeable about the latest dental procedures and advances. You feel confident with them and no pain. Exit with a billion dollar smile and confidence when you burst in laughter. 👍🍎🍏🌽🍗😜

Ive been coming to south tampa coast dental office for about 2 years now. Always great customer service. From when I came in Ashley was very friendly in greeting me. Vita the hygienist was amazing, very detailed with her work. Dr Patel and Jojo were great while preforming my first ever cavity filling, Making sure I was comfortable and explaining the procedure as they went. And even while almost out of the door, Chris was patient and worked with my busy schedule to plan out my follow up appointments. Overall simply amazing staff and great customer service !!

South Tampa is a wonderful office to go to. Chris the office manager is wonderful. Dr. Patel is amazing. I love the way she explains everything to you and she doesnt leave you unsatisfied. The Ortho team is definitely an amazing team. I definitely recommend this place.❤️

Very bad experience with the billing...told would only owe copay and then hit me with 9 times more, i have only been able to speak to Juanita at the clinic, she has done what she can...but the billing/corporate are useless, we have left many, many messages...not even a courtesy call back!!!!

Coast dental off dale mabry is great. They were very inviting and friendly. My hygienist was Vita and she was more than accommodating and very knowledgeable about her industry. She answered all my questions and took very good care of me during my visit. I highly recommend this dentist office.

I started my Orthodontic treatment at this office in January 2013. So far everything has been absolutely WONDERFUL! George, the hygienist...Rachel, the dental assistant...and Dr. Lockhart are all sweethearts. The office manager along with her staff are all very personable and they make you feel very valued as a client. This makes a world of a difference considering how much money Im spending. I would recommend ANYBODY to come here! They treat you right and make sure you get the most bang for your buck.

Had a great experience. Everyone took the time to explain everything to me; I asked a LOT of questions so it was nice to have everything answered. Ana was great and explained everything to me as it was happening. Rachel was also excellent in explaining all my options. Everyone in the office was very relaxed and the service was excellent.

This location is great. So today I was 40 minutes late to my appointment and Ashley at the front desk was so helpful, customer friendly and so energetic. She was able to get me in to see DR.Patel who was awesome. She assisted me with my crown,she provided great information and was knowledgeable,Ms.Ivette help floss and we had a connection about our islands cause am from St.Thomas and her family from Puerto Rico and then Chris at the check out was fantastic... I love the customer focus and the engagement that took place today...Great job team...💪💪💪👌👌👌👌👌Job well done

After having a not so great first visit, Hariena and Anna made sure the rest of my visits went well and provided excellent patient service. Alina did a wonderful job getting my gums and teeth back on track. I also want to send a special thank you to Dr. Kansal and Carol for their wonderful bedside manner, professionalism and positive energy. These ladies are a true asset and a shining example of what a patient should experience before during and after their visits. Thank you ladies!

Ana, the dental hygienist was excellent!! She was very thorough when she cleaned my teeth :). She is super sweet, kind and very detailed during her cleanings. Ashley, the receptionist was extremely helpful and kind as well. She was very welcoming and excellent at customer service. Very proud to call Coastal Dental my home for dental cleanings.

Beware of the Dentists and hygienists in this office. I came in the office at 12:30pm and I didnt get out until 4pm, unreal. The nightmare did not stop there, they didnt finish my cleaning meaning they did not put fluoride in my mouth after the hygiene was completed. Last minute they asked me for papers authorizing X-rays from my other doctors even though this appointment was made two months prior. The dentist had the hygienist do the cleaning before doing the check up so when the cleaning was done my gums were obviously swollen and she couldnt tell if it was gingivitis or just swollen gums from the cleaning, even though I am clearly and visibly loosing enamel because I have gingivitis. She wanted to referred me to some other specialist instead of actually treating me. The hygienist was supper rough with the cleaning as well I bleed so much I was swallowing my own blood. Dentist told me I may need crowns in the future and I am only 26yrs old and I have not had cavities for years. The dentist clearly dose not know was shes talking about. Worst service I have ever had a dentist office in my life. Definitely do not recommend, incompetent staff and doctor. Unfortunately I am stuff here for my ortho treatment still but I cant wait to be done with them so I never have to go back to Coast Dental Again!!!!

Absolutely amazing staff! I went in for my first cleaning of the year and was a little nervous. I was quickly put at ease after the attention and genuine care I received as soon as I walked through the door! Christopher was super attentive and greeted me as soon as I walked in, Josephine made getting my x-rays a breeze, and Vida and Dr. Patel were so patient with me and answered all my questions. Could not have asked for a better experience! I will be referring all my family and friends to Coast Dental!!
