The whole staff is extremely friendly and informative. I am a new patient and I loved the whole atmosphere. Dr. Cortez is extremely sweet and gives you thorough details on what exactly she is doing and why. I found my new dentist! Highly recommended!

I had to change dentists unfortunately (the practice had to close) and I was recommended to check out Cortez family dental. My first visit was great. I had a teeth cleaning and a crown was put back on. I plan go back again very soon. Ace job, SO CLEAN even with 2021 life, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Dr. Sandra Cortez helpful and made me feel so comfortable. She made sure I was numb all the way, which is hard to do, and then did my x-rays and exams. I was in so much pain when I got there and now I feel so much relief. Anna the dental hygienist was very gentle and she assisted with great care and patience.I am so appreciative of people that understand how painful and scary the dentist can be, this was so much better not painful or scary at all.

I recently moved to the SA area & needed a dentist. My friend requested Dr Trevino so I figured I’d try her out & wow was I amazed! The dental assistant Miranda came & got me quick! I hardly had to wait & she was so sweet & did a good job in informing me about what was going to happen. I was super nervous & she helped calming away the nerves by reassuring me everything was going to be fine! Also, Dr. Trevino came in & was gentle with the shots, I didn’t even feel much!!! I have definitely found a new dental home, thank you guys so much!

I dont mean to sound like a commercial but the truth is there are so many dentists offices around today that its tough to determine which office is a good choice, let alone the best choice. Being honest, I chose Modern Dental in an emergency and it has turned into a most fortunate discovery. Finding professionals who are not only passionate about what they do but are also well educated AND skilled, is extraordinary. It took me 6 dentists and over 14 years to find my needle in the haystack and I found it at Modern Dental. No doubt, my standards are high but, I finally found a place thats very professional, has an real eagerness to help the client (not the just help the client out of their money kind of eagerness) and the competence to deliver beyond expectations, right there on Babcock at Modern Dental. In todays business atmosphere, there are so many do just enough to get that money attitudes that when I find someone who actually cares, I recommend them to others and I highly recommend Modern Dental.

This place is a scam. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and went back in 2020 and again they charged me with hidden fees. Big scam. Never going back. With really good insurance just a normal clean up went up to 140 bucks.

I was very pleased with my latest visit. I had a 6:00 pm appointment and was able to be seen at 5:40 pm. I was seen immediately upon arrival and after my visit was done the front office staff was so patient and informative in evaluating my options for future visits. The receptionist reviewed my insurance policy with me so I understood all of my future charges. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a good dentist.

I can not say enough good things about Modern Dental. This may sound unusual coming from someone that prior to my experiences with this office had to be medicated for a cleaning but I have found my happy place.I have been treated by both Dr Cortez and Dr Trevino. They are very skilled and gentle. Even during surgical extractions they kept me calm. I am now having my upper front six redone. It is an amazing process and for the first time in almost 60 years I find myself with nice teeth and a smile I dont have to cover. The attention to detail is astounding. People are even loving my temporary teeth.From the minute you enter this office the terrific staff makes you comfortable. They answer any questions you have regarding the technical portion of your treatment. They will also review financial options that can be helpful.Last but not least the office is clean and appealing.I highly recommend that if the dentist makes you nervous this is the place to be treated. Also recommend if you have reached that time in your life that you need a little upgrade this is where you need to be.No matter your age or needs they can provide top of the line cosmetic dentistry or emergency response to any problems that may arise.

I am very thankful for finding this knowledgeable and caring dental office. Im what they call a special case. Ive obtained a couple of implants, crowns, root canals, and other stuff (insert dentist jargon) due to an accident I had while in high school. Dr. Cortez, Dr. Trevino, and staff have been able to schedule me in, advise the best course of action for my situation, and proceed with by giving me the most desirable outcome that I can have.

Excellent service and very friendly staff. Having people poke around in your mouth isn’t the best way to spend your time off but with these lovely ladies, it makes it a whole lot more bearable. 10/10 would recommend.

My Mom is not easy to please, from the old country where courtesy supersedes all else. Not a bad way to look at life, right? Anyway, she damaged her dentures and honestly, I looked on line looking for someone that could take her on an emergency basis. Everyone exceeded our expectations! It was like going to family! Although my Mom told them she hoped she would never see them again, she loved them! By the way, she could not get over the complimentary beverages. We recommend this office is you want someone who really listens and is just old fashioned nice!

The front area was very nice,and clean.The personnel are very polite,and cheerful.Im seeing Modern Dental for extractions,and implant/ Dentures.This will be a major change for me. Wouldnt recommend it. They neglected to tell me I was in network. Tried to charge an outrageous amount of money. I would recommend you double check to make sure you are in network. It is the first thing they ask when you call so I am not sure how this could possibly happen but what a huge waste of time. The front office staff seems like they need more training before being placed up there. They just have a complete look of confusion every time you walk in the door. There are plenty of dentists in San Antonio. I would recommend going to a more honest one.

We have been going to Dr Sandra Cortez since we moved to SA in 2005. She is awesome! The office is new, clean, ample parking, comfortable waiting area, flexible hours. Front office staff is always friendly. Dr Trevino is a great addition to the team! They are great with kids...they have watched my son grow to a young man (now 19). They offer additional dental services, but they talk with you first (so you arent stuck with an unexpected bill.) They define the plan, check your insurance, and show you exactly what you can expect to pay, so you can decide if its in your budget.Technology and equipment is relatively new...they have cameras that can show you the inside of your mouth, xrays are readily visible on the screen next to you, as well as educational videos on procedures. This is a real tech-savvy dental experience!I highly recommend Drs Cortez and Trevino and the Modern Dental team! They are friendly, patient, caring, and understanding.

I have been a patient at Modern Dental for sometime and have always had wonderful and timely service .... always willing to work out a schedule for me around my hours and when there dont have to wait long...Dr. Trevino is new to me but but she and Dr. Cortez are the BEST... If they have to refer you to a specialist be assured they are extremely qualified as well....and I musnt forget their staff is TERRIFIC and HELPFUL.....everyone goes the extra mile.....

This is the worse dentist I have ever been to. Dr. Cortez decided to cancel my 7am appointment after I showed up. She stated that with in the last two years I had rescheduled three appointments so for that reason she would not be seeing me. This conversation could have been done on the phone but instead she had me show up at 7am to tell me this. So if you are looking for a rude, not focused on customer services, and someone not understanding of you rescheduling your appointments this is the person to see. I will never recommend this dentist

Beware of this place. I am not joking with you. They try and welcome you with a free gift. Then you will receive a bill for your 6 month cleaning, which is suppose to be free. I ask all patients of this dental office to go back and look at your office visit statements. They charge for the cleaning, fluoride, and for a prophylaxis fee. Again, was suppose to be only for your insurance 6 month cleaning. On second note, the dentist told me I had numerous cavities and I needed to repair them as soon as possible. I found it odd I had so many. I went to two different dental offices to get a second and third option. Both dentists informed me that I only had one. They both informed me that if work was to be done on all the other teeth it would have caused more harm than good. Just to think that I was planning on getting all those cavities fixed by Modern Family Dental, costing me thousands. Just beware of this place. The manager, too, is deceiving. She will claim that the dentist recommended night guards, teeth whitening, and Invisalign costing thousands more. I wish you all the best of luck finding the right dentist.

I have been going to Dr.Cortez for over 10 years now. I used to be nervous about going to the dentist, but that changed when I started seeing Dr. Cortez. I have only had positive experiences in my 10 years of regular cleanings and dental work there. I am a heavy tooth grinder, and as a result I have needed a lot of care over the years. Dr.Cortez has always taken the time to explain to me what needs to be done and why, and her staff has always been great about scheduling and appointments. I recommend Modern Family Dental to all of my friends and family, including those who are afraid of the dentist. I went from being terrified of appointments because of other dental experiences to feeling pretty comfortable with having work done. I also like how easy it is to get to their location. I rarely have to fight traffic, and its easy to find.
