My parents have been with them for years now and when I left the nest I couldnt think of a better person to go to for renters insurance. I left renters insurance until the day before I moved in and Joseph was able to quote me and insure me within 15 minutes - all while I was in a totally different city! really helpful and kind! 10/10

I dont usually write reviews like this but I couldnt hold back on this one. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Joseph Borkowski does a poor job managing this office and its a disgrace to All State. He ignores calls and someone in his office charged my card without my permission. My bank agreed with my assessment. He works very hard to solicit business but does nothing to help customers once he has signed us up. He has NEVER phoned me back when I have asked for multiple call backs. Ruth is rude. Cheyenne is a poor communicator. Bobbie is the only decent staff member. Nevertheless, Joseph lacks professionalism and integrity. And doesnt call me back because he knows he wont get any future business from me but also because he knows the truth hurts. DO NOT use these agents.

This is an important review for anyone looking to do business with Joseph Borkowki.I have had auto insurance with his agency for about 5 years (a little more) and a renters policy for about 4 years. Up until two months ago I had never spoken with him. However, I recently bought a home and moved in October 1st and no longer needed renters insurance so I called the agency to cancel my policy. The phone call was handed over to Joseph. He wanted me to buy homeowners insurance though him. However my USAA policy was a better policy and already paid in full. I told him thank you but not now maybe when we renew next year. Now this phone call took about 20 minutes because he really really wanted this policy. It was a hard sales tactic that I didnt appreciate. One month later 11/6 I noticed that the auto withdrawal for my renters insurance was still being deducted. I called the agency again. This time the lady that answered said they had some issues with cancelled policies still deducting and she would check on it and make sure it was taken care of. This month I noticed my auto insurance premium had not been withdrawn from my account. I logged into my Alllstate account and was STUNNED to find my renters insurance AND AUTO were both cancelled. I promptly called the agency to see what was going on. The lady who answered had no idea why. She said she would research and call me back. She called back and said there were not records showing why or how this happened but it has. So now that I have a lapse in coverage my policy will be about a $1000 more for 6 months BUT if I purchase homeowners insurance with them it would be half that. I explained to her how ridiculous it was to think I would trust them with my homeowners policy when this has just happened and it seemed like blackmail. She said she would see what else she could do and understood my frustration. So I promptly called USAA. Now I knew a long time ago that I could get a better rate with USAA but Allstate had done a decent job and I had no reason other than price to change. Of course today has changed all that. After I hung up with you I did call USAA and purchased an auto policy. It was $1,866.00 for the 6 months with no penalty and with higher coverage amounts, roadside assistance, rental car insurance etc....I am very disappointed that Joseph (who his staff said she spoke with) did not call me back personally to apologize and offer his help. He pawned it off on his office staff, which shows his lack of leadership and real concern for his customers.I was not expecting this to happen and it took me off guard. The idea of us being on the road for almost a month with no insurance is terrifying.My respect for Joseph is gone and as a person who works for a small company the owners response and willingness to accept responsibility for things that happen with his company is sometimes the only thing that keeps customers loyal. It truly seems like blackmail to say that I would have to purchase homeowners insurance through you to get a decent auto rate since I am now being penalized for a policy cancelled by your agency without my consent or request. Very unethical.Keep this experience in mind when choosing to do business with him.There are lots of insurance agencies around and there is no reason to deal with someone like this if you dont have to.

Let me save you the trouble. STAY FAR AWAY!! His employees are some of the ones giving some of these 5 stars ratings.....so that must be in the hiring process.The truth is, you wont receive phone calls back. If you need to change your address itll take about 4 months before anyone in this office does it. They wont do your quotes properly. Then when you do finally get to talk to Joseph, youll get to listen to him brag about who he is and all hes done and just get fed a load of bull. Your prices will be unstable and change without notification whatsoever. Then when you finally get fed up with everything and call to cancel your policy that you should have never started, youll get a you ONLY have a renters policy. Statement from Joseph himself. My measly renters policy meant nothing to this office. It was only me protecting every single thing in my home. No big deal right?!Stay VERY far away from this agent. Unless you like your phone calls not being returned, and getting comments about how your policy pretty much means nothing to them then go ahead.

As some reviewers have mentioned, this is an office that will do work to solicit your business and then leave you hanging when you need actual service. No one will phone you back, you will get differing answers, and worst case, they even take money from you without authorization.I don’t think its a lot to ask from a company to call back when a customer has a query. As head of the office, not once has Joseph Borkowski called when several queries were left. As a small business owner, I’m appalled at the bad business practices. If you are happy to throw money for insurance and receive no service, this is the place for you.

My car was sideswiped recently. The folks at Joseph Borkowskis office went above and beyond, not once but several times during the process, in helping me get things straightened out and dealing with the process - even when it was not their job to do so. Its not an easy process and takes longer than Id like, but these folks make it their business to help. Best service you could hope for in an unfortunate circumstance.Edit: In the 2+ years since the incident above, this company has reorganized and eliminated all the people that were so helpful. Of late they have been difficult to get a hold of and remote at best. Now you get little to no personal service. I am looking into other options at this point. An extremely disappointing turnaround. Look elsewhere.
