I bought a sti yesterday and had a few things wrong with it I couldn’t quite put my finger on. The guys in the back (I forgot there name and feel awful about it) were absolutely amazing to work with. Within 2 minutes we had resolved the issue and chatted for a second. Will definitely be going back for anything else I need done🤙🏽

Edit: I am currently in the middle of rebuilding my motor and confirmed my suspicion with my mechanic that the failure was likely due to the AOS being installed incorrectly. It may or may not have caused it but it undeniably contributed to the RLF my motor suffered. I emailed them a few weeks ago to give them the opportunity to make things right but they chose not to reach out to me. I would have settled for a refund on some of the labor and the part itself but they chose to not respond to me. I can only assume they dont want to assume liability for their mistake. Its unfortunate this happened as I was looking forward to working with them for mods to come only to be the victim of poor work and denial that they had anything to do with the failure.I dont want to write this review but at this point I feel like I need to after stopping in your shop and giving you the opportunity to make things right in my eyes. I had simple do some substantial modifications to my car last year. Over the course of this year I have found some minor issues such as loose wiring connectors, my main wiring harness just dangling in the wind, missing zipties on my aos tubing causing oil to leak everywhere they were connected, minor stuff easily fixed so I fixed it these issues, didnt really bother me and gave me an opportunity to poke around under the hood. Where I take issue is a bit more recently. A few months ago my car started pinging regularly to the tune of -4 or so. I contacted Ryan and he mentioned he may have been a bit aggressive with the tune and mentioned every turbo car knocks (I have plenty of friends with hundreds of hours of logs that can dispute that and my knock happened consistently around 3000-3500 rpm at 80%+ throttle) even though when we laid out the plan for my build I asked him clearly to keep it conservative...No biggie he took a bit long but he fixed the tune and it had been running great the last couple months. right up until a couple weeks ago when I had an insane knock event from then on. My knock was hitting -11. engine damaging stuff so I contacted simple again. They did squeeze me right in and had an appointment set for me however Ryan got sick (get better soon) and I understand that I needed to be put off for a while. I figured I would poke around and see if I could determine the problem and I did. When they installed my AOS the routed the lines so they were pinched off effectively preventing the aos from doing its job (you can see the two tablespoons of oil I got out of my intercooler and turbo in the photos) I was told by the gentleman today that oil blowby is normal in a turbo car....I am fully aware of that and exactly why I bought an AOS to minimize that issue..the detonation caused by that issue is deadly to subaru motors. regardless of all that I rerouted the lines and cleaned everything up and its running great again. I stopped by the shop to talk to them about that and they asked me why I didnt bring it in. I dont live around the corner from your shop Im 35 miles away. Am I expected to bring it to your shop to repair something that should have been done correctly in the first place? Am I expected to leave a problem present that can destroy my car to drive 35 miles for you to fix it when IAG released clear instructions of how the unit should be installed? I fixed your mistakes and you have the nerve to ask me why I didnt bring it to you...heres your answer...you do shoddy, lazy and complacent work while charging a premium and I no longer trust your shop.

Couldn’t be more satisfied with the custom exhaust Walter built for my Toyota. You can see why these guys keep so busy, just excellent work and service all around.

I took my car to them for a axle back exhaust with a resonator delete. I told them I was on a budget of 400 and they were able to meet that for me. For the price it was a quality job and would 100 percent recommend them. Very knowledgeable people and very friendly.

Not enjoyable to go and talk to the people there. Only performed 50% of the work that I asked them to do. I went to Turbo Lab instead. Had an awesome experience. Didnt have to wait for 2 months to get a tune as well. Simply Stinks.......

I went there to see about an option for new exhaust tips and achieving a better exhaust sound for my GTI. Ryan showed me some options, gave me a reasonable quote and hooked me up with some beautiful carbon fiber tips and a muffler delete. The GTI sounds awesome now and for only a couple hundred bucks I achieved the sound I was looking for instead of trying to sell me some exhaust systems that would have cost me over a grand. Took it in to my appointment a week later, they were on time with their work completion and I’ve been getting compliments ever since. I’ll come back for sure with anything else I need! Good guys!!

I first brought my GTI in for a intercooler upgrade. The cost was very reasonable. Necky kept me updated and the work was done like factory. I decided to have my exhaust looked at having a drone sound at freeway speeds. I already have a down pipe and catback, Walther suggested a resonator and I couldnt be happier. The work was done in about an hour these people really know what there doing. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for top notch work and service. Plus the cats rock too.

Im beyond impressed with the work that is done at Simple Performance! I have called a numerous amount of times into the shop and have got nothing but top notch service. They have a knowledgeable and detailed answer to everything I ask, and go the extra mile to make sure you understand. I left Simple Performance with a blown trans, and out came a car that has drove better than ever. As soon as I walked out the door and saw my car, I have had a smile from ear to ear. The transmission that was swapped was recommended by Simple Performance and it drives beautifully. They stated most who swap to this trans enjoy it more due to a different FD. And I completely understand why. After getting the trans swapped I got lucky and they squeezed in a pro tune, and the results are amazing. I had Simple Performance install a cat back dual exhaust on my 2000 Toyota Tacoma truck. I described the sound that I wanted and where the pipes were to come out at the back. The pipes came out just where I wanted and WOW, do they ever sound good. These guys are good!

The team at Simple Performance are fantastic! I had them perform a full clutch swap on my 2013 WRX. They installed a new Southbend clutch, flywheel and clutch fork all while getting the job done in under a day, and beating local pricing. This shop is the best no doubt. I broke my exhaust off roading and I needed it fixed asap. I called them and they were able to set up an appointment same day. Not only that, I was unfortunately half hour late and this point I had called and said that it would probably be best to cancel because of how late I was but they told me that its fine, that theyll make room and even after being 35 minutes late they still did the work I needed. On top of all that they stayed true to the estimate they gave me. No doubt going here for all my automotive and welding welding.

Add this place modifier header for my 57 Chevy truck and they did a superior job perfect work I couldnt have asked for better Walter really knows what hes doing and its a great place to deal with very fair price and just absolutely awesome work I would definitely recommend them to everybody I know and continue using them

The is the most reputable tuner in town. Since theyre always super busy, its usually difficult to get a hold of them on the phone, so its best to drop by in person. They are very knowledgeable and willing to take the time to answer any questions you have.The downside to my experience was how long it took to get my car back. There was a period of one month where no work had been done because they were wanting some payment up front for what had been done so far. What was problematic about this is that there was no attempt made to contact me during the entire month. I dont feel there was intentional neglect, they just seem to be a little too busy to manage every job efficiently at times.The rebuild and tune were worth the wait though. These guys are incredibly talented and my pro tune came with 4 maps, from economy to full send. Extremely happy with how my WRX drives now. Made great power on my 91 octane maps.Also, there are two cats to pet in the waiting area, so if you like to fluffy animals youre in luck.

Customer service is terrible (whoever the lady at the front desk is). Ryan is nice enough when youre able to get a hold of him but its nearly impossible. I was having AFR issues right after the tune , getting knock and losing power but he refused to look at it or give me the time of day unless i was going to pay to get it looked at. Ended up blowing the engine a few thousand miles later.*Edit since i cant reply* I called multiple times and got brushed off. i then deployed so when the car blew, it had only been running for a max of around 3k miles. Never got beat on, very well maintained and all precautions were taken prior to me putting it in storage. The issues were tune related. I dont need your nonchalant, unapologetic response. thanks though.

I took my 89 BMW E30 to Simple performance to build me an Exhaust for my 24v swap. I brought in all the pieces off an 96 M3 and they did a fantastic job of making everything fit, quieting the car down and giving me more ground clearance than what the existing exhaust had.A huge bonus: Despite requiring way more work than they originally anticipated, I paid just about the same as I was originally quoted which I found to be an amazing, and pleasant surprise at the end on top of the already fantastic exhaust work. Ryan tunes my car a few weeks back and well I got super lucky. Brought my 18 WRX in for a pre-tune inspection, Ryan called me about 2 hours after I took the car in and said everything looked great and that he could get me tuned that day. This is where I got lucky, he had a cancellation that day and that never happens. I got to skip to the front of the 2 week waiting list because my car was already there. Ive been a customer here for just under a year. Ive had nothing but great experiences. My first visit I planed paying then am hour worth of work, which turned into a free diagnosis. Since the first visit Ive been in multiple times some of which were unannounced drop ins. This is a very busy place and I believe its due to the quality of work and commitment they have with each customer. Dont be surprised when setting an appointment if its a couple weeks out. Its worth the wait and I have future projects planned out for these guys, they just dont know it yet.

They did a muffler delete on my 2015 GTI. Ive had exhaust work done a few times, so in general I know what to expect. Walter was upfront about the cost, and spent time to make sure the job was done right. A muffler delete can be done in as little as 30 minutes (if you dont really care), but the shop spent almost 3 hours making sure the welds were perfect and everything was aligned properly. Im very impressed with the work done here.

Unfortunate events brought me to Walter and Simple Performance. My Legacy Spec B blew its engine. Brought my car in for a funny noise that I was afraid might be expensive to fix. They found the problem was actually quite simple and sent me out the door for an incredibly low price!

Was on a road trip in my STI when it threw a CEL 15 miles from SLC. The folks at Simple were able to fit me in as a walk in and clean out my MAF sensor. Now its running smooth again and I was able to continue my trip. Great and honest people! Also two very cool cats live here named Dr. Room and One-Eyed Willy.

These guys do HONEST amazing work and are the only people that I will trust to work on my car. Every time I go there to have work done I am VERY satisfied. They are always there when I have a question or problem and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. I had Walter do a custom cat-back exhaust on my outback and it came out PERFECT not too loud not too quiet and all tucked up to survive driving through lots of snow. The exhaust even gave me an extra 20+ HP and TQ! If you are looking to have work done on your car or truck this is the place to go!

Had a full exhaust done on my 1997 Landcruiser - Front to back. Walker did an amazing job welding it up and giving me the fairest price. He contacted his parts guy the same day I walked in and was able to get me in the next week. Super quick on getting everything installed (even on my rusty truck). Contacted Simple Performance after working with another shop on a few things and not being satisfied. Ryan talked with me in detail about the best options to improve my car would be with where it currently was. They added a bigger turbo, catback exhaust, and new headers. Ryan (the magician) then tuned it. I picked it up last night and what a difference. I hardly recognize the car from where it was. Unbelievably smooth all the way to redline. I know that its not much because I havent been to Simple Performance, yet. When I was searching on how to make my 2012 WRX powerful and efficient, I reached out to Simple Performance through Facebook. Not only did they respond so quick, but they guided me on what to buy to achieve my goals, but they also ended up saving me estimated money compared to what I would have spent.This has always kept me believing that they are a reputable shop that loves cars but is busy. It was the most genuine thing a car shop has ever done for me.But now I have a big question, should I buy a brand new closed deck short block or buy a forged internals kit? Hahaha! The team down at Simple Performance is the best! Ryan kitchens has done a ton of work on my cars. Hes always been very thorough and knows Subarus inside and out (I had a WRX that Ryan helped me out with and currently have a Legacy that hes done a bunch of maintenance work on). Walter does some amazing custom fabrication work and I look forward to having him work on my car in the near future! Every time I go there the team takes the time to get to know my car and what needs to be done to it. Theyre very personable (the owners Joe and Walter included) and truly care about their customers! Ive never been to this shop before and its my 2nd time having one of my cars on the dyno. Ryan did an amazing job and was super friendly/helpful answering all my questions or telling me about how the car was doing. The guys around the shop were super nice and friendly. Would definitely bring my car back and plan to in the future.

Engine is about to go back in the car! The refurbished heads came out great.
