I came here because of how interesting the reviews were and I needed quick emissions done. Its a well used shop and theres some nostalgia in that since I grew up around shops. Grease and grime dont bother me. That aside, service was very quick and friendly! There was so much thoughtfulness in it. 100% would go again

First and foremost: Dont let appearances scare you away. The shop itself looks a little shabby but that doesnt devalue the efficiency, and excellent customer service! I had to do a few routine things with my car that for other places I went to took up to an hour. This was half an hour at most, not including the delightful followup and questions I had, which were explained well enough that even a layman like me could understand. 22/22

I got my oil changed and did my emissions/registration and was out of there in less than 30 minutes... I think that says it all! But aside from this being the easiest and quickest maintenance experience ever, everyone there was incredibly nice.

This is a difficult review.I would rate customer service as 5 star.Quick in and out for an emissions/inspection, competitively priced, courteous, careful to not get greasy hands and clothing inside my car, very thoughtful.I would rate the cleanliness and orderliness of the entire operation as a negative 5 star.Filthy office, rundown building, NO masks during CoVid19, all a bit of chaos and confusion. I wouldn’t dare sit in the waiting area, the chairs were beyond disgustingly dirty.The place I usually go to is out of business now, so if I return here, it will be for convenience and good customer service if I can overlook the overall nastiness.

Of course it is not the kind of place you want to hang around because it is quite dirty but hey, it’s a car emission shop what does one expect? I was given an significantly inaccurate quote for new tires that will affect me financially for a few weeks. This never would have happened with the old owner.New owner allows all of his teenage friends/employees to pal around the lobby on their phones. His dad was much more professional. I never once felt taken advantage of. I have been going there for 10 years and have had nothing but good experiences until recently. I called a few times to speak with the owner about this, but was given vague answers. Then was told the kid is pretty much the new owner. This whole experience has left me feeling sick and wishing I had gone to a box store, where for $40 more I would have a warranty on my new tires.

I work from 8am - 5pm and I specifically came here for emissions because they are open until 5:30. I left work a bit early so I could get to the garage by 5. I tell the guy I just need an emissions test and he tells me the machine is off so comeback at 9am and then he begins to walk away from me when Im trying to get an explanation. I look at my phone and see that its 5:03, so I ask when do they turn the machine off and he says 5pm while still walking away from me. Dont walk away from your customers when they are trying to talk to you.If youre expecting to get emissions done around 5pm, dont come here apparently.

I have been coming to The Emissions Clinic downtown for about a decade now for emissions AND a variety of repairs. Ayaad and his crew are always so sweet, kind, polite and helpful. They always go above and beyond and dont over charge. It is hard to find a mechanic that you can trust to do the job correctly and not charge you an arm and a leg. My husband and I have owned 5 cars since we started coming here, different makes and models as well, and we trust them to work on all of them.

I bought a Groupon for here and it was a great experience. I went in for an emissions check on a Saturday. They were of course quite busy but they got us in and out in 15 minutes. Thats from walk in to walk out. Accurate, fast, and professional. Both father and son made the experience easy with no extra nonsense. Their regular prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommend.

These guys are conveniently located and do a great job. If you dont wait until the last day of the month they are usually quick too. Employees are friendly, and explain what is going on. Prices are reasonable and you have confidence the job is done right. There isnt a whole lot of parking, but they get you in. Egress is pretty simple going out on either street.

Get the emission and registration done in less than 10 mins. That was very fast compared to other places I used to go to. And the price was cheaper than I found anywhere else. the guy is very helpful and straight forward. First time in this place and for sure I’ll back whenever needed.

Do NOT go here! I was planning on getting my emissions tested, and as my girlfriend was pulling into the parking lot (she was following me so we could drop off my truck) one of the mechanics backed up a customers truck right into her car. Then, they proceeded to blame her for the accident, which damaged both her car and the customers. An argument ensued, with both the customer, my girlfriend and I trying to tell the three mechanics that you cant back into someone and blame them. They continued to refuse to accept blame, and accused my girlfriend of all sorts of things. Then, they went dark for a couple weeks, and their insurance company repeatedly told us they could not contact them. Now, almost 2 months later, they finally admitted fault. Overall, the situation was indicative of how unprofessional and shady the staff is.

7/27/2019Ayad as a mechanic is very detail oriented, he took the time to pull me aside and show me something was wrong with my bolt under my car that holds the oil in which was replaced. Very easy to talk to and is honest. The price $$ was amazing. Tony in my opinion is awesome at his job. He’s very efficient and goes beyond the call. Customer service is straight forward. Advise the problem and give the keys to the gentleman. The location is great and satisfied. I looked at the price chart and the prices are well priced in my opinion. I had done my emissions $40 and for my particular car state tax +dmv fees for a 2014 vehicle $144. So glad I read the reviews and went here! I went at 10 on a Thursday morning. The lady at the desk was super friendly and had a good sense of humor. I was in and out of there for my safety & emissions in ten minutes, no joke. They also made sure I got all the stuff I needed, like the sticker and registration.Really nice experience. So glad to finally find a great place nearby. I will come here again!

Just went there to get emissions done. I called around to a couple of places that wanted $35 for emissions. Found a groupon for this place for $19 and drove over there. He had me hooked up and done in less than 5 minutes (this was during lunch hour too). Best experience Ive had with a company in recent memory, would not hesitate to recommend or go back.

You have go to be kidding me... these good reviews must have been coerced somehow, or, it would appear that most people simply like getting away with shady, irresponsible emissions testing.Well, for anyone who has ever gone to this place for anything other than emissions or for those of you who plan to; this is for you.Let me start by saying that I had a Groupon for this place and I drove from Tooele (about 40 min. away) in hopes of getting a quality alignment and after looking at the reviews on Google I felt pretty confident going in.As soon as we arrived, things felt off. This place was dirty, disorganized and located in a pretty sketchy part of town. I continued on, thinking whats on the outside doesnt necessarily reflect that which is inside, I couldnt have been more wrong.I walked in, went to the counter and the first thing I was told is that they can not do an alignment based on my vehicles age. Frustrated already, I told them that there was no mention of this in the fine print on Groupon nor was I told when I called earlier, and out of the blue the employee says, never mind, we can do it. So despite my growing concern, I allowed them to take the vehicle back. Within about fifteen minutes the technician returned and said he wanted to show me something, so I headed back with him into the bay. He proceeded to tell me once again that they can not perform the alignment, this time he said it was due to the shocks being bad. Bewildered I continued to show the him the BRAND NEW shocks I had just installed last month. With a look of, uh-oh this guy isnt a complete idiot, the tech continued on saying that even though my shocks may be good, I still needed new tires because the front tires had some uneven wear. I was completely taken aback, this guy seriously just told me that I can not get my car aligned because my car needed an alignment?!? I mean what the hell?Well, and I dont care to admit this but since I was already there, I foolishly asked if we could perform a tire rotation and proceed with the alignment. The tech then said, as if he had just pulled it out of a hat, that no that wouldnt work because even if we did that my wheel bearings were bad. At this point, I was done. Knowing that I had just installed brand new bearings alongside the aforementioned shocks, it took everything I had not to make a scene. I asked that they lower my vehicle and Id be on my way.This was my harrowing experience and in the hope of sparing anyone else from anything similar, I have chosen to write this review.

Realized my registration was expired and I needed emissions done, and saw that this place was right around the corner. Guy was very friendly, price was reasonable, and was in and out in under 10 minutes. Pretty much the perfect ending to an “oh crap” moment. Will come back in the future.

I went in for a quick Emmissions Test I purchased on Groupon. Showed up right in the am with no appointment. I waited no more than 20 min. Quick in and out. Would reccomend, although they could do some cleanup work on the waiting room.

Gave me an excellent deal on my brakes and rotors. The only reason its a 4 instead of a 5 is because I had an appointment and it still took a while to get my car back.

STAY AWAY! Went here for emissions, the tech (Hassan I think) came back, failed me for emissions and told me my car needs 4 catalytic converters and they can get it fixed if I wanted.My car only needs 1, they tried to scam me out of a lot of money! I dont want to think of the other people who are less mechanically inclined than I getting swindled. Just go to emissions plus, they wont try to swindle you.

The service was wonderful and the mechanic that took care of me extremely polite. In ~20m these guys did the safety and emissions inspection of my car and I was out with the new stickers. The only downside (and the only reason Im not giving them 5 starts) is that the amount they charge for the inspection ($50 taxes included) is quite above average, but not unreasonable. If you want a good, honest place to pass your inspection and avoid headaches, you can very well come here.

They did an alignment on my car. I actually went to outlet mufflers and tire, located just across the street, but apparently they have some sort of agreement or are in a partnership because emission clinic are the ones who actually did the work. My car is aligned, the price was good, and overall I had a good experience here. Would recommend.

I went to Emissions Clinic for the first time because it was the closest place to my house that was open. All the workers there are so friendly and helpful! I was in an out before I knew it, and they even offered to give me a new month sticker, because mine was super faded and the owner put it on for me. :) Will definitely be going back for safety and emissions.

I bought a 4 wheel alignment special on Groupon for this shop. I went in and asked them to do it but they said they wanted to charge me double because I have a truck. It didn’t have restrictions on types of vehicles in the groupon. I took my truck down the street and they are doing it for the same price these idiots were supposed to do it for.

This place blew my expectations away. What do you expect when you go to get your emissions checked? Dirty shop? Uncaring and rude mechanics? Hitting your head against the wall as you wait for what must be a 5-minute task? Well, this place only met that first expectation. ;-) Hassan was the friendliest fellow, and super honest about costs and regulations, including dissuading me from purchasing something I did not need (a safety check). I will come here next year and recommend this place to anyone.

I had perhaps the ultimate emissions test experience today with Emission Clinic. After running around to every nearby Jiffy, and finding them to be not-so-jiffy, with over an hour wait at each of the 3 I stopped by, I thought Id switch it up & try something new. Very glad I did! I swear to you it couldnt have been more than 5 minutes from when I walked in the door to when I walked back out, renewal sticker in hand! Not only extremely fast, but VERY friendly and no shenanigans.

My A/C was out, and they fixed it. I had gone to Big O tires, and they quoted me $1000.00. When I went to Emission clinic I was expecting the same price, but they took care of me, and I paid $700.00 less. They were nice, explained everything to me, and let me see what the problem was. Where Big O told me, and then expected me to shell out the money. GREAT SERVICE/ Customer Service AT EMISSION CLINIC!

This is a reply to MR TYSON I am the tech that told you about your vehicle first off you came in without booking an appointment second off your car is a 94 I told you I will check if I can do it or not when I checked I told you I am able to do it then your Tires have wear of bad shocks which I brought you out to the shop and showed you and you said you recently replaced them and never changed the tires so I said Okay then you need to change your tires and I showed you the movement of your wheel and how that proves your wheel bearings where bad you felt it for your self and said you need to repact your bearings told you I can still do your alignment but it won’t hold since your alignment was bad because of your bearings and shocks the reason why we lift a vehicle and check it is because 90% of the time your alignment is off because of an issue with your suspension tie rods being worn out bent suspension parts or anything in that nature your alignment doesn’t just go off and there is no way to visually know just by looking at your shocks if they are new your shocks are rusted and there wear on the tires made me say they where shocks next time don’t try to make me seem like I don’t know what I am doing

Ive had a hard time finding a mechanic that takes me seriously over the years, but the owner here Ayad has always been respectful to me and my mom. To the point that I dont even care if hes ripping me off because he gets the work done. I doubt hes ripping me off though, hes always been honest about time estimates and price estimates. He even allowed us to pay for our work in payments once when we had to replace our gas pump unexpectedly. Hes knew I was having a hard time paying for school at the moment and told me to prioritize school over paying him back. He really has your best interest at heart.I know that i have a friend whos experience there wasnt the best but in my own experience I have no complaints.

The Emission Clinic staff, especially the kind and patient business owner Ayad, demonstrated top notch professionalism when it came to a repairing a faulty speed sensor so I could pass my state inspection/emissions. It turned out the speed sensor they ordered/installed into my car was faulty.. and they promptly replaced the part with a sincere apology, and no charge for the extra labor and time spent to correct the issue. With each step of the process (which took about 4 days), they were consistently honest and forthcoming about every issue that affected the repair. They went above and beyond what I expected in the typically profit-driven nature of car repair businesses. I will be a regular of Emission Clinic for my annual inspection needs from their air of trust, fair pricing, and a distinct sense of compassion for family and community through honest business practices.
