I called to have appliances installed. I was told by the call center they would call me back Saturday morning with a time they would arrive. 11 am no call so I called the call center. I received a very its not my problem attitude told she would notify dispatch. 1215 no response. Called again. This employee was very nice but still nothing she can do. I explained that i rearranged my entire week for this appointment. Its just a matter of courtesy and respect for other peoples time and apparently Cambells have neither.

I called this company because my dryer drum was not turning. The technician came out two days later (not wearing a mask) and said the problem was the tension wheel. He said the repair is $300 and I had to pay upfront. I did so thinking they would take care of it quickly; however, three days later I had to call to check on the status, and the part was still on order... so I tried to cancel the service and they told me I would not be refunded the $300 (?!) The tech did not tell me the fee would be non-refundable. I ordered the parts myself from Amazon, had them at my door the next day and did the repair myself. I have asked the company to refund my money, and so far I am told that a supervisor will get back to me, but somehow that keeps NOT happening. I just called again, and the supervisor had mysteriously already left the office by 3pm. This is not normal behavior from a service-oriented company. In response to Campbells response: I was handed a smartphone by the technician to sign. Im sure you buried the terms and conditions in there, but all I saw was the signature pad. I wasnt told the part was special order, in fact I was told it was a common part that you all might have in stock. Its a $20 part, for which you all are happy to stake your reputation. Perhaps you should get an Amazon Prime account to get your parts faster? Either way, you cannot justify keeping my $300 because you had to order a $20 part. Period.

Was Very Pleased With Campbell Appliance Service. I Got A Quick Response to My Email. A Return Call back, Secretary Very Friendly .Then The Serviceman Who Came out was Very, Prompt, , And Explained the Problem and what it would take to fix it ,and at what Cost. He Ordered the part right then. Explaining it would take a couple days to receive part. And at that time He would be back to Install It. Very Wonderful Service Will Definitely Recommend!!

Stay away from using them! I have an LG fridge that quit cooling. Tech recommended we change out compressor and inverter board v.s. buying a new fridge. Decided that route as he said it would be good as new. Parts were on back order so took 2 weeks to affect repair. Spent $1600 Four months later the same thing happens! Office scheduler said they only warranty parts and labor 3 months. I knew a compressor had to be warranted for 7-10 years. Asked to talk to the owner. All I wanted was a free service call as we had spent $1600!! Was told the owners don’t talk to customers! I had to go out of town so scheduled it for the day I got back. No tech available the day I got back so was told would have to wait until next week. So, I called LG directly and was told Campbell never sent in the warranty info on the compressor! I was told they are not an authorized service vendor for LG Still they said they would cover parts and labor at 100% Tech came yesterday and compressor and condenser bad. He said previous teach should have also changed out a filter on the compressor but did not. I am certain after talking to the tech that LG is junk but Campbell’s customer service was just terrible. I did get to finally talk to the office manager and she was defiant and never offered a free service visit. Glad I called LG as at least I am getting decent customer service now . What kind of company tells customers that thy cannot escalate a concern to the owners?

I initially called because of a broken washer and called Campbell. The appointment was scheduled the next day - Friday. Great! The technician was prompt. He took a photo of the machines basic information then went to his truck for 10 minutes. He came back and told me the part would need to be ordered and they would call me next week when the part came in to schedule an appointment. They gave me an estimate and asked for a deposit of half. I asked if it might be finished by the following Friday as I was leaving town. No problem! By Tuesday I had not heard from them so called. I was told they had Just ordered the part and would call me when it came in. I didnt hear from them and called Friday morning. I was told they had scheduled a technician for that day, the day I was leaving town. So they rescheduled for Monday. Called Monday morning and said they would be here between 1 & 3. It came to be 3 and I had heard nothing. Called again and was told the technician was running late and would be here between 4 & 5. As I had to leave by 5, I asked if they were sure this would occur and was told it might. They are now scheduled for tomorrow morning first thing, between 8 & 9. All this is based on the premise that they HOPE the part is the right one and if not, the amount I have already paid ($120) would go towards the total. So, I am sitting here hoping (1) they show up tomorrow as promised and (2) the part fixes my machine. I am beyond frustrated. I was never called back when promised to either set an appointment or let me know they were running late or unable to make the appointed time. [Not even to mention the times I have called I was put on hold. After 3 minutes (my maximum wait time) I called back and was immediately helped]

Dishonest or incompetent.I was a loyal customer of Campbell for a couple years and they either took advantage of that or cant correctly diagnose repair situations.I called them out originally because my upstairs AC wasnt working. Their tech, Juan who is also their service manager, came out and said I needed a new a unit. My house was almost fifteen years old at he time with the original AC units so I didnt question his assessment and had them replace it. They were prompt, fast and friendly and I was pleased with the experience so I used them the next couple times I had problems with my Kitchen Aid clear ice maker I called them. The second time they did it for free and chalked it up to warranty even though they couldve charged a nominal fee. I own some restaurants and also had them do some refrigeration repairs for me. I became a very good customer who gave them a lot of business and never questioned anything. After a couple years my downstairs AC stopped so I called them. Juan came out and said I needed to replace it and it would run about $5k. Wed just had several major expenses pop up so I was feeling more frugal than usual so I decided to get a second opinion. Called Sears Appliance out. After being in my attic for about 15 minutes he came down and said the resistor (or maybe a capacitor?) needed to be replaced. $300. Done in an hour for nearly FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS less! Needless to say Ive never called Campbell again. This occurred almost two years ago. I decided to wait before posting negative reviews of Campbell Appliance because I wanted to make sure they had really done me wrong before doing so. Well, this past spring once the weather warmed up and the AC stated getting heavier use it went down again. Called Sears out and they had to replace the same part for another $300. However, Im almost two years past Campbells service manager Juan telling me I had no other option than spend a little over $5k to replace it. At this rate, if I have to replace the same part annually for the next ten years Ill still come out WAY ahead.

+ Quick response: I called Campbells when my water heater (in attic) overflowed last week. They sent someone within 30 minutes to shut off the hot water for me and quote the cost of new water heater/installation. - Note: since their contractors turn in schedules between 8-9 am, you should not expect a call for an appointment window until about 9:30 or so. My call that day was actually closer to 10:30 - after I called at 9:15 -- b/c the contractor hadnt turned in a schedule yet. [Same day notice was true for a later a/c check even though I requested it the prior week.] I do wish they could tighten up that system b/c even though retired, I do need to plan my day; however, it may the industry norm to do it this way. No idea.+ Installers for the water heater were great! They were quite a bit later than the 3-7 pm window, arriving at 8:30 and leaving at 10:30, but they drained the water heater, managed to carry it down from the attic, and installed the new WH with minimal fuss. A/C unit was checked yesterday and it did end up costing more due to adding some Freon.+ Office staff did make a couple of courtesy calls after my initial issues with the water heater install time.+ Folks at this company are very nice and friendly. The installers / technicians I met were informative and efficient. I will probably use them again (though I hope I wont need to for a while ;).)- Last thing, dont expect an itemized bill. Their computer app only allows for a total, so if you want specifics ask when you are given a quote.

I’ve had to have them come out 3 times recently for different appliances that needed repairs. All three times they were prompt, courteous, and above all—honest. They even called me a few days before the part came in to let me know they were still waiting for it and then Josh came out on a Saturday to fix it. Thank you Campbell’s! Janet Blattman

This is the second time I have used Campbell Appliance for repairing my washing machine. The first was a couple of years ago when the motor froze up and had to be replaced. That repair was major but handled by Kenny Adkins in a prompt and professional manner. I was pleasantly surprised when Kenny showed up again this morning for the service call. He was able to identify the problem in less than 10 minutes, had the part replaced and was on his way in less than 30 minutes. Im happy with the service, but a bit disappointed that the 30 minute service was a whopping $169.00 labor charge plus parts. Except for the price of labor, I would have given them 5 stars. Kudos to Kenny for identifying the problem, explaining what needed to be done, and fast turn around. Thumbs down for a $231.66 bill for a 30 minute repair.

I check for pet friendly motel rates.... this is not gonna work. I remember seeing an A/C truck last week - only because the driver of the truck was so courteous to another driver and I told myself to remember this - Campbell Appliance. I called Campbell and not only would they come out on Sunday but they gave me a two hour time block. Matt called within the time frame and said he was on his way. He diagnosed the problem, fixed it, verified it was working properly and saved my long weekend. And my poor hot dogs. Thanks so very much!

Not sure how to give Zero rating. That’s what they deserve. I had a problem with AC unit, where it stops draining extra water. First technician came and said that he has to clean drainage pipe and it will cost $169 + tax. I paid this money and he used suction pump and told me that company is providing 30 days warranty. Within 4 days I observed the same thing. We use AC for less than 8 hrs in whole day. This new technician said that because of coils that are very dirty and either we need to replace whole AC unit, which costs between 5 to 10K or he can open unit and clean coils, which will cost $1000. I asked let’s move step by step, lets clean drainage and he didn’t agree. He left the house without doing anything. I have a video what he didn’t fix.

Terrible experience with Campbell Appliance. We had a dishwasher that wouldnt cycle through. To make a long story short, it took them SEVEN visits (plus 1 no call, no show) to get the thing fixed. Cost us over $300 to fix a $500 dishwasher; I would have rather paid the extra money and gotten a new one to not deal with this company.Whitney, their receptionist, was the worst one in the company that we interacted with. The repairmen, although apparently not very knowledgeable, were at least pleasant to deal with. Whitney consistently dropped the ball on returning phone calls, confirming appointments, and general customer service. I have asked her multiple times to speak with the owner (upon her suggestion), and have not yet spoken with him. At several points, I asked to just refund our money and call it a wash--they would be out of coming back to our house, and wed go separate ways. She said numerous times that she could not do it, but then towards the end admitted that she COULD but would not do it. Needless to say, that did not go over well with us.We dont feel like they were swindling us, but we do feel that the company is incompetent in their operations. And Whitney should be reprimanded for her terrible customer service and unprofessional demeanor.

Watch out for these guys. Quoted me $450 to replace a blown capacitor on my AC unit. I told the tech that it was too high, and that the part shouldnt be more than about $100 bucks and about 5 min of labor. I considered just paying it because I was desperate, but then he didnt even have the part. He tried to convince me that he could wired two other capacitors together to make one. I finally told him no thanks, paid the $75 bucks for his service charge (which seems like a rip off when they dont even have the part to do the repair). Called a couple of supply houses for the part and picked one up 30 min later for $120, and spent 10 min replacing it myself.Long story short, Im sure these guys were trying to take advantage of me and my situation (it was Saturday morn on Labor Day weekend). $450 was a ridiculous quote for the job. The tech was even apologetic about the price... saying I just do what Im told. Im not sure if he was being honest, but it makes me think that the owner/office told him to screw me around. They are very difficult to schedule with. When you make an appointment, all you get to determine is the date. You cannot find out an estimate on the time until the day of the appointment. It essentially ties you up for the entire day. On the morning of the appointment, only then the technician decides on his/her schedule, and then the office starts calling the customers to tell them their times. This is a horrible way of scheduling appointments, and again ties up the customer for the entire day. I cant make any plans for that day until the morning of since I dont know what time they are going to come, which is too late to make plans for the day. Even the cable companies dont do this anymore. We had to reschedule our maintenance appointment twice because the technician just decided to come out at a time we werent available on the day of our appointment. I finally ended up just firing them and going with a better company. When I complained to the person who answered the phone, she was very unhelpful and just basically said too bad, this is the way they did things. When I asked for her manager, she said she was the manager. I didnt believe her, but I had no other recourse, so I fired them. I would not recommend this company. They are too hard to work with, and you will be tied up all day waiting to hear about when their technician will happen to be out there.

If theyd allow it, Id do ZERO stars. Very dishonest and unreliable. Read the reviews first at BBB and Yelp. I wish that we had. They do not care about their customers at all. They are just out for the almighty dollar. To this day the owner is not addressing the issue of their technician breaking our evaporator. We thought it was the people working there, but now know its the owners lack of smart business practice. Thomas Busch (even though it says Thomas Campbell on their website - shady), is rude and obnoxious when you can finally get him on the phone. His technician ruined our evaporator and though they have now repaired the fridge, and promised to refund us for lost food due to their techs mistake, they now refuse to reimburse us for the food and inconvenience of eating a lot of meals out over the days it took to repair what their technician did. He is now trying to insinuate that we ruined the evaporator. WHAT?! The owner even went to the lowness of insulting my husbands 25-year military career as a Criminal Investigator. I fail to see what it has to do with the situation at hand and does he honestly think my husband is going to sit there and listen to that? According to Thomas, he was also in the military and anyone can get credentials! The man is delusional. Way to support your troops!!!He said that my husband was uncooperative and threatened him with the Better Business Bureau, Attorney General’s Office and going to court. Those are not threats. We’ve already filed with two and are working on the third. Those institutions are there to protect consumers from business men like you who take advantage of your customers. The man is truly delusional. Are you cooperative with people that have done you wrong and then are rude to you, Thomas? No, you aren’t even cooperative with people that you should be, your customers. Yes, when you call someone a liar and demand they listen to you rudely, they are going to hang up on you. You have no right. You are the ones that have something to make right. Not the other way around. We also are now positive that Kenny did not replace the timer that you charged us for. That is why Josh replaced it. My husband called and asked why we found the defrost heater (large) in our outdoor garbage, but not the old defrost timer. You had Josh replace it to cover your tracks. Please people, spare yourselves from these crooks. Check out the BBB and Yelp. We have also contacted the Attorney Generals Office and are taking them to court as soon as we can get everything together.

I ATTEMPTED TO SEND LETTER TO YOUR ADRESS, BUT IT WAS RETURNED.On Sunday 24 Aug 14, your employee responded to a service call, the purpose of which was to diagnose an issue with my HVAC unit located at my home. For the after-hours service call, I agreed to pay a charge of $89 plus parts. Prior to his departure for my location, your employee called to inform me of his expected arrival. During this call I informed him the motor would hum but the fan wouldn’t turn, most likely the capacitor. He stated that he would be able to quickly diagnose the problem upon his arrival.Upon arrival, your employee quickly diagnosed that my AC was inoperable due to a bad capacitor. He then solicited the sale of a Trade Pro 60/5 MFD Round Dual Capacitor, a part which he happened to have one left on his truck, and could sell at the company’s cost of $329. When questioned regarding the exorbitant price, your employee stated this was your company’s actual cost without markup, this was very typical price for this part, and the high 60/5 MFD rating required for my particular AC unit makes this particular capacitor much more expensive than lesser rated capacitors. He also said he’s not supposed to but showed a copy of an invoice for same type repair just made at another customer’s residence, which showed the price of the same part was charged as $329. I grumbled a bit, but assuming your employee was expert in these matters, had him make the repair.I later found that the exact same item, and similar items of capacity and quality, is easily acquired from numerous vendors for well under $20, and often even lower than $10 especially when purchased in bulk. Your employee’s misrepresentation of facts meets the definition of false, misleading, or deceptive acts or practices as defined in the Texas Business and Commerce Code, in that he knowingly misrepresented the goods as of a particular standard, quality, or grade, and failed to disclose information concerning the goods in order to induce the consumer into a transaction which the consumer would not have entered had the information been disclosed.Your statement on yelp that “We have been Family owned and operated since 1959, and as a Family business, we believe honesty is #1. Well go the extra mile to keep you educated every step of the way!” is part of why I chose this company over others in the area. While anyone can surely understand the need for a business to make a fair and reasonable profit, the use of false, misleading, or deceptive practices to obtain a 1500 percent markup on parts is definitively unethical and possibly criminal, even if the practice is very common in this field of business and especially in this location. Although the transaction took place on a mid-August Sunday afternoon in Texas, and with no other options to quickly obtain the part, to charge a premium of over $300 for this relatively inexpensive part is far beyond reasonable, it’s simply outrageous.I saw on BBB where you responded to similar complaints that the charge for parts include a flat labor rate. You havent responded to mine yet. Both your weekend dispatcher and your technician said 89 after hour charge plus parts. The tech said the part was at cost. Sneaky, deceptive, dishonest. and unethical. I HAVE LEARNED MY LESSON - I AM JUST PASSING THIS ON SO OTHERS MAY BENEFIT FROM MY EXPERIENCE DEALING WITH YOU. I notice your web page only list the 5 star reviews - how nice!

WORST EXPERIENCE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!On the day of May 30th 2014 I call Cambell Appliance Heating and Air Inc to come out and take a look at my mother’s refrigerator. They scheduled to come out that Saturday morning of the 31st. I personally was not at the house to meet the technician but my mother was. I spoke to the repair man over the phone. He explained to me that the fan to the condenser was not working. He gave us a price of $246.81 to repair. He said it would be the following Monday to get the part because the supplier was closed. My mother agreed to get the work done and gave a deposit of $123.40. ($80 cash and $43.40 on her debit card).I arrived shortly after the repairman left. I look at the part and noticed that the fan blade was removed from the fan motor. Out of curiosity I tried to push the blade back on. In order to do this the fan needed to be removed. One screw holes this fan in. The fan is no bigger than a softball. I pushed the fan blade back on and reinstalled it. I noticed the blades of the fan were turning slowly. I tapped the blades and the fan started turning full speed. I let the fan run for an hour or so then called and asked to speak to the technician. I got no call back. After a couple of hours I called the company to cancel the repairs. I spoke to 2 operators (Whitney and the other name I don’t remember) and then received a call from the repairman. He asked me why I was canceling and I explained to him about the fan working ok now. He proceeded to try to talk me out of canceling and told me that I would have to call the office on Monday June 2nd.On Monday June 2nd the office manager called me asking what time was good for the repairman to come by and replace the fan. I explained to her that I had canceled the repairs on that Saturday. She then started to tell me that once the work order has been signed and a deposit was given that we were out of luck and were not getting a refund. We argued back and forth on this. She would not give me her manager’s name or the owners name and numbers. She said that she was as high as it gets. She absolutely refused to give me any information about any higher authority and was very unprofessional. On Tuesday June 3rd the installer showed up with the part and asks me to sign for it. I refused and ask him to get the manager the district manager or even the owner to call me. He made note on his form and left. With the part.I have made several calls to other store for the general manager name and number. They gave me a name but no number. They said they would have him call me asap. I’ve called more than 3 times and have gotten the same result. They gave me the names of Thomas Bush and Chris Pavelka. Its been over a week. Its June 9th and the original fan to the fridge is working perfectly. The managers have not contacted me. They refuse to refund any money. I have agreed to pay the $40 service call and they still refused that option. I don’t know what to do. This company has clearey been crooked all along. I did a search on google and yelp and found that I am not the only person who has gone through this with Cambell appliance repair. I feel like they took advantage of my 72 year old mother.

If i can give them zero star i would, so a tech came to my store and did a repair on my fridge, and he chargerd me 629, and the fridge is still not cooling, until now the guy came here three times already, the temperture of the fridge is 61 degree, which before we call for service it was around 43-5, so it seem like each time that he do something to it the temperture will not drop but go higher 10 degree, so i am informing you guys not to use them, because i could have went ahead a get a new fridge. so save yourself sometime go with someone else!!
