I went in to see Dr. Kyle to help me with a procedure that I’ve had done over 6 times in my life. He was going so fast and treated me in such a hurry, but I still trusted that he would do a descent job because the procedure seems easy to do. It’s been a week and i show little sign of healing. Every other time I’ve had this done, after a week, it looks very close to healed. Looks like I’m going to have the ugliest scar left on my forehead and I want to cry. I should not have trusted him because he was in a hurry. He scraped my spot during the procedure, something a doctor has never done, and I still trusted that he would try his best to minimize scarring. I’m 24 and Im confused why he thought leaving me with a big wound on my forehead that would take forever to heal would be a good idea. I have to cancel my trip to SF next week because I’m super self conscious about it and I’ve had to hide it because everyone asks me what happened if I don’t wear a hat.

I strongly recommend you stay away from “Integrated dermatologist”. Respect yourself by boycotting them. Like maha, Robby, sal, and other revieweres I had a terrible experience with them. My appointment was at 13:50 I get there at 13:44 because their address location was very hard to find. They said you are 4 minutes late we have to reschedule you. Per other reviewers, they will normally be using the made-up story “we have surgery”. They used the same lie also for me to reject me. No morale no ethics no patient care no common sense. Two receptionists also were rude with me. Respect yourself and dont get involved with their nasty business.

I recently saw Kyle Machynia for a spot on my chest i was really concerned about. He was very professional, knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. He assured me that it was just a pre cancer and treated it promptly. I felt so much better when I left the office that day. I will definitely go back to office and am actually sending my son there for a new treatments. Kyle is the best!

I set an appointment after receiving a reminder follow up in the mail. Turns out the return address on their appointment card was incorrect. Im new to the area so I couldnt remember where they were located - and its been a few months since Ive been there, so I assumed the address on their reminder card was accurate. Of course I went to their old location which made me late for my appointment. When I called their office to tell them that I was driving around the parking lot trying to find them, she gave me the correct address and said if I came now, shed get me in before the doctor goes in to surgery. I raced over there by 4:00. When I checked in they were confused about who I was seeing. The women at the front were rude. I was reminded that I was late. So I reminded them about the wrong address on their card. The women in the office were yelling back and forth at each other across the room about who I was supposed to be seeing. (Dr. Mortenson or the PA). The lady yelling across the back office said I was scheduled with the PA and that he said he was Done for the day. The most egregious part of this whole situation was how unprofessional and dismissive the front office staff was about this situation. It was embarrassing. I left and I wont be going back.

I had a horrible experience here. I originally had an appointment, and two days before they called because they had to reschedule me. No problem, I rescheduled for the following Thursday. Thursday comes and that morning they call asking to reschedule because they had a cancellation and the doctor didnt want to wait for me. I explain that I already took the time off of work and I had already been rescheduled once. They say okay no problem, Ill let the doctor know and well see you at 3:30.I show up at 3:30 and they said they needed to reschedule me for another day because I didnt show up 15 minutes early. Not only did they never tell me this, but the appt confirmation text also says your appt is at 3:30, see you then.If you have a condition requiring anything resembling immediate attention, I strongly urge you go somewhere else.

Had been going there for a long time. They have gotten too busy and have lost me as a customer. They cancelled an appointment and failed to inform me. Said they called me but I checked my phone records and saw no such call. After I showed and they were closed I called them and got another appointment. This time after waiting 45 minutes with a number of other patients coming and going while I still waited, I told them good-bye for good. Go somewhere if possible.

I had an awful experience with this office. I have been on a medication for close to 15 years, but the doctor has to see me every year to re-authorize. Due to COVID-19, I asked them if they could renew my prescription without my having to come to the office, but they refused to do so or host a virtual doctor visit. I reluctantly scheduled an appointment and drove for 20 minutes to their new office location. I could not find the office and went around in circles for 10 minutes asking people and calling the office on the phone, but no one answered. I finally found the office and explained the situation. The receptionist acknowledged that everyone gets lost trying to get to their office and that they try to give people directions (no one gave me any directions). She then proceeded to tell me that because I am now 15 minutes late, she has to reschedule my appointment because I was only scheduled for a 10 minute appointment and the doctor is now doing something else. I explained repeatedly that I had to leave work, expose myself to the very unhealthy smoke conditions, potentially expose myself to COVID-19, drive for 20 minutes and get lost for 15 minutes all just so the doctor can take two minutes of his time to renew the same prescription I have been taking for 15 years. I basically begged both receptionists to call on any doctor for one single minute so I can explain, get my prescription and not have to waste another hour and half of my time to come back, be exposed to more smoke and increase my chances of exposure to COVID 19, but they both refused. I left.P.S.: it does not seem that this office is taking any real precautions to ensure the safety of patients in the office. Unlike other doctors I visited during the pandemic, they did not ask me before I come to the office whether I am having any COVID-19-like symptoms or take my temperature. It is also shocking to me how they schedule patients for 10 minute appointments, as they told me. 10 minutes is definitely not a sufficient period of time to meet with a patient, examine them and answer their questions (which is arguably why they wanted me to come for a visit despite the fact that I did not need to). It is clear they only care about making more money at the expense of the quality of patient care.

I’ve been a patient here for a couple of years. Dr. M is thorough, pleasant and meticulous. I go every year for a skin check. I am also getting PRP for hair loss. I will add photos when treatment is complete.

Medical office required me to pay in full for my appointment because they do not accept my insurance. When I left the office, I asked for an invoice so that I could send it to my insurance for them to reimburse me. Office staff told me that I would need to call billing. I called both billing and the office manager for 4 months before they could get invoice to me! Then when I tried to go back for follow-up (for a pre-cancer spot), office would not accept me any longer as a patient! Hard to believe that their poor service made them decide they do not want me as a patient. I would think that they would apologize for the delay and promise to do a better job.

Dr. William Mortensen is a very unique doctor. I went to him for the first time last year, and he was so welcoming, kind, considerate, and actually interested in what I had to say. He was very professional, highly educated, and made me feel comfortable regarding things I was concerned about. The part he treated healed wonderfully, and I knew I would continue to see him as a skin care doctor for as long as possible.I met with him again in May 2019, he remembered me, and was warm and openhearted. He has a way with his patients, his colleagues, and I would recommend him 100% to anyone looking for an awesome dermatologist. Thank you so much Dr.!! :) And the staff is awesome as well!

Kyle Machynia PA has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. He was rude, demeaning and far from knowledgeable. I work in healthcare so I see patient interaction daily and he we terrible! I would not trust this man to mow my lawn let alone excise, freeze or laser something off my body. I will not be returning to their office due to my experience with Kyle Machynia PA. If you are scheduled with him I recommend rescheduling with someone else

Am giving them 2 stars as I had a good experience with the doctors and nurse although neither did a full scan as I am used to having done yearly. My family history dictates my yearly visits. My grandmother passed from Melanoma. It took me almost a year to get an appointment last year. You can imagine last year I booked my appointment for this year. My insurance had changed and when I arrived and gave them my new insurance card I was told that I could go somewhere else (by the lady who continued to chew gum like a cow chewing cud behind the desk) or I could pay prior to my appointment. I assumed I would have to pay anyway as insurance companies do not consider yearly dermatology check as a wellness check. However this woman was so rude in how she handled the experience and was ready to scoot me out the door putting my health at risk.I was finally called into the room for my appointment. The nurse and the doctor were professional although as I mentioned above I would have preferred a better scan. I complained about the woman up front and next thing I knew I had the office manager in the room. She too was ready to scoot me out the door and I had to tell her twice (as did the nurse) that I had already paid. She sets the tone for the office staff and I can see where they get their unprofessional and uncaring attitude.During my scan the doctor decided he wanted to take 2 biopsies. Prior to him taking those biopsies which take about 5 minutes to complete I had to get dressed and pay for the biopsies before I could have them done. Did they think I was going to crawl out the window instead of paying? Even the doctor was surprised and the amount of time it took for me to get dressed and pay again to come back and have the biopsies pushed other patients appointment time behind. To date I have not received the results of my biopsies. Did I need to pay special for the results?If I was reviewing just the office staff I would give them a minus 10. In reading the reviews it looks as though this office is much more interested in cosmetic injections than patient health. They don’t have to worry about me as I will never walk in the door again. It had been over a week and I still have not received the results of my biopsies. My suggestion if you are there for your health find a different dermatology practice.

I love the staff at Aistheta, Reno. I go there for all my cosmetic needs. Libby is amazing at making me look and feel great. Azelyn does a wonderful job with her facials, laser, and needling. And Kelly, the receptionist, is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.You wont regret becoming a member of the Aistheta family. They always make sure I am happy with the services and they go out of their way to make sure I receive my rewards.

I enjoyed my visit. The staff was extremely nice. However, today their main number has been disconnected and it also appears that when you try to send a message directly through their website it also fails to send. This is a little frustrating. What is going on?! Hopefully its resolved soon.Updated review 2/20/2021After delivering my son in November of 2019 I had to cancel my upcoming appointment. I spoke to a women from the scheduling department. I assumed all was resolved. Shortly after cancelling the appointment I received a bill for a no show cancellation fee for $50 dollars. Unprofessional at its finest!

I have been going to Aistheta for more than 7 years now for both medical services and skin care treatments/facials. Couldnt imagine going anywhere else! Azelin has been doing my treatments since I started and now she cant get rid of me! She really listens to what I want, also taking into consideration what she feels I need, and tailors my treatments to provide what my skin may need at that time. Everyone on the medical side is great as well, always make me feel comfortable, and are always personable. The team is flexible and always willing to do what they can to help with scheduling requests or any issues that may arise. I recommend Aistheta anytime someone asks for somewhere to receive great skin care services, and will continue to do so well into the future!

This place is a mess. The office double booked appointments causing my wife to wait over an hour to tell her Dr. Mortensen couldn’t see her that day. After other issues with an unprofessional Dr. Mortensen and bad office staff. I called to cancel my appointment for the following year 8 months or so in advance. The office told me I was not on schedule for that day. Then they sent me a $50 fee for not canceling in advance. They continue to send me a $50 bill and this has been going on for months now. I respond to the billing department each time and they tell me that the office will not respond to any e mails or phone calls so they can not cancel my bill.

I have been seeing Libby for years here,and have always been happy with her,I try to go in at least once a year. I called and asked for a consultation with her today, I received a call back saying she does not do consultationsThe receptionist,Kelly is VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL,perhaps familiarity breeds contempt.I was told that her assistants would have to consult with me. I am a licensed Aesthetician in several states,and am familiar with the territory,(my face,and the face in general) I explained I was only comfortable with Libby both seeing me,and treating,me ,it fell on deaf ears,and she said I will speak to her,and get back to you after ten years, I am moving on to another Dr.,and office staff especially,that are not rude like Kelly. YOU LOSE ME AS A PATIENT because of your receptionist.Unacceptable,I hope the Dr.reads this review,there is no excuse for her attitude or tone.

Not Impressed.Went to Dr. Andersen for help with a finger cyst. He jambed a steroid needle into my finger about three months ago and I am still in pain from in my opinion was an irresponsible procedure. He injected this needle into the finger just below where the nail grows out into the bone, damaged the finger nail growing out and it still hasnt recovered.Approximatetly three months later, need to wear a bandage every day, it stings and aches and the fingernail trama has continued to grow out where the doctor damaged it, defective and painfully. Cyst has not been removed. Feels like an open wound that does not heal.Also gave this office my email address. Never received any email from them, but have mysteriously been receiving junk email ever since.Would like to believe he was trying to help, but his attitude in my opinion was not serious and there is no sense of appreciate for the constant pain caused.

Started coming here for acne treatments as a teen and was given tetracycline and cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer. (Typical)They later did microdermabrasion and chemical peels on my skin while I was still taking the medication they prescribed which shouldve contraindicated me for those procedures. Years later Im seeing an aesthetician to repair damage I received from this clinic.

Was referred by my primary care doctor to Dr. Mortenson for a regular exam and to remove a small skin tag. Staff hardly ever answers the phone and does not call you back in a timely manner. Finally was able to book an appointment and during the meeting Dr. Mortenson could not locate the skin tag which was in my armpit (full disclosure: I looked and couldnt find it either) but I was in a hurry on a workday. He was very nice and I left thinking it had fallen off on its own. The next day I noticed that it was still there. I once again had difficulty getting someone on the phone. When I finally I did the girl on the phone was unapologetic about the mistake. I told her I wanted to confirm that I wouldnt be billed for the next appointment as he missed the skin tag. Not my fault. She said once again in a tone that lacks empathy I am not authorized to promise that. Waiting for her to say let me talk to someone that is. Common sense right? So after a pause I said ok thats fine who is? She said her office manager. I then told her I would like to speak to her so I could explain this uncomplicated situation. The girl then told me she was unavailable and would call me back. I have yet to hear from anyone at his office and it has been almost 2 weeks.Needless to say I will be canceling my appointment this week. Either they dont care about patients concerns or they are too busy to handle new patients. Once again a nice guy but his staff and office needs an overhaul. I am not one to ever write reviews but I am appalled at the lack of service from this office on something so basic. What if I had a more serious issue? Yikes.

Integrated Dermatology of Reno (aka Aistheta) does both cosmetic and medical dermatology and they do them very well. Dr. Mortenson is a brilliant, amiable physician who provides excellent care. The PAs here are some of the most knowledgeable I have ever encountered and the same can be said for the estheticians. All of the staff is wonderfully pleasant and the facilities are clean and comfortable, you really cant go wrong here!

Then, out of nowhere, I was called a day before my appointment and told that Aistheta was no longer providing Dysport and that Amanda and Libby could not help me. I am very disappointed and will not be returning there for ANY services.

I dont know what is going on with the Receptionist. I made an Appointment 20 Mins later they call me saying they have to change it. Three days later they call me saying I have to change it again in a Voicemail. I call back and they say Im fine then Two days later they call me again saying I need to change it again and then have to change it now to another week. Its not worth the hassel.

My Complaint to BBB:Free consultation requirements were not explained to me.I called to schedule a FREE consultation for my rosacea. After my appointment I was sent a bill for $65 because the Free consultation was only for the other side of the office. When asked if they would honor the error made by their front desk staff in not informing their customer about the free consultation details the office managers response was NO I feel this was a mistake in their office and they failed to tell me at the time of the appointment that my medical issue did not qualify for a free consultation. I told the office manager I would have postponed my appointment and she very rudely asked so you just wouldnt have seeked medical attention for your concerns? I should not have to pay this bill and I cannot get anyewhere with this office manager. This bill is now in collections as well.Aistheta Response:Rosacea is a medical condition. This patient was referred by another medical clinic by another medical provider for her medical condition of rosacea. She was seen by a medical provider in our office receiving an assessment of her condition and prescriptions for treatment of her medical condition.Complimentary consultations do not apply to medical conditions.Please note that the message on our website reads “Schedule a complimentary COSMETIC consultation and learn how Aistheta can develop a plan for the most beautiful and natural you.My Response:My issue is the receptionist should have informed me, the CUSTOMER that what I was being seen for was NOT considered a FREE consultation. I am a customer and I should not be expected to know what an office deems cosmetic versus medical that is the job of the medical facility to correctly represent themselves and insure the customer is taken care of. I have never in my life encountered such a curt woman than the office manager I come from 14 year of Customer Service and anywhere I have worked we always made sure to be held ACCOUNTABLE for misrepresentation and or miscommunication. This office failed miserably in this department. Why is it acceptable for the receptionist to misinform a customer regarding a chargeable issue?This office has the worst customer service I have ever seen!! Including the RUDE receptionist and the curt Office Manager who will not hold her employees accountable. There are far better facilities in Reno!!
