I decided to get my nails done for the first time in two years. I got them done by a man I believe his name was Chris. I showed him a picture of how I wanted them done and I made sure it was something simple. I added the photo for reference. I’ve been going here every month for the past three years for pedicures and I’m not sure he knew of that since he just started working again but he was very rude about me voicing how it didn’t look like the picture or the shape on the picture. He didn’t offer to paint it another color or even apologize. He said he would fix it next time I came in but why would I come back in if he can’t even do a simple nail look. It was a total of $114 without tip. A lot of money for something I don’t even like

Made an appointment prior for four people, got straight to work when arrived. Two of us had to wait for a little since they had four workers and two were already with other customers. Good work and they have champagne (if you ask and only one) when getting our pedicures. Wish the feet/legs massages were longer felt amazing. Tried to get lashes done but was told lady was unable to do it because my eyes were moving to much, so make sure you are relaxed.

After neglecting my pretty little hands for the last month or so, I want to say that hands down, Sue is the best employee they have working there. I’ve been here numerous times over the last 10 years. Her attention to detail and the time spent on what “I thought would be a simple manicure,” turned out to be Sue basically having to put in quite a bit of work. Also, while I was sitting there after my pedicure, letting my freshly painted toes dry, I left my $200.00 pair of RayBan sunglasses there, and I didn’t even realize it until almost two days later. Anyone could have snatched these beauties up! However, I called the shop in a panic when I realized they were missing from my purse and sure enough they were there waiting for me. Thank you for your honesty New Identity! It means the world to me… I had no business buying a pair of $200 sunglasses to begin with! Xoxxo

Great place to get pampered! If youre looking for a great pedicure, try the deluxe. Well worth it!! Ive been getting my pedicure and manicure here for 3 years. Have never been disappointed! Staff are always pleasant! Highly recommend this place!

Tina is the best nail tech I’ve had! My acrylics hardly ever lift between fills and she can usually get me in same-day if I forget to schedule in advance. Super fair price, too!

Today I did my nails and the experience was truly amazing. I got what I expected, with good service, fair price and adequate security measures. I only give 4 stars because I made the appointment online a week before and received a confirmation and a reminder, however, they did not book it and I had to reschedule it, fortunately for the same day but in the afternoon. Therefore, do not schedule an appointment online, just over the phone.

Use be really good when they first started but now it is hard to find someone good to do your nails there. I found one lady but I never were able to schedule with her again. Last time I went I paid for the deluxe service and I had to help the lady finish my nails as she did know what she was doing.

Great service. Staff genuinely just wants to see you happy with your nails. I love coming here.

I got my nails with Dip on the 6th of July. I was told it would last a while. Literally 4 days later my nails started breaking off. I was really upset. Came in for appointment and was told that I had to wait. Also I was asked who did I talk to on the phone. Like I wasn’t being honest about having a scheduled appointment

My eye area was not cleaned before the application. She stopped midway to eat. Her child kept coming into the room. There was no license displayed. Refused to take a Groupon. Then, demanded I tip her.

Walk ins are welcomed which is great! Came in to get my eyebrows waxed and I waited only 5 mins to get service. The service was fast and my eyebrows look much better. So happy 😁

I have been getting manicures and pedicures here for the last year and they always deliver. Everyone is always jealous of how good my nails look and my mom doesn’t trust anyone else with her ingrown toenail.

Loved all my services there 🥰 especially my nails ladys there were very friendly and helpful in makeing my color choice. My eye brows and tint was fantastic and my eye lash exstetions were so natural and beautiful. Over all they deserve 20 stars I just loved my whole exsperiance the atmosphere and environment was classy clean and sanitary.

My birthday gift to myself and I was treated like royalty.

They were nice and I expected to pay at minimum $40 for a good pedicure but it just wasnt that good. My feet dont feel any softer than they did when I went in just moisturized. They did a good polish job but for $57 they didnt even scrub my feet for more than 1 min each foot.

I’ve been going here for a couple months now - Tina does a great job with acrylics and she is so nice. However, I went in to get my acrylics taken off and I just wanted a regular shellac manicure so someone else did it. She was so rude - she was very aggressive, yelling at me to stop moving, pushing and pulling my hands harshly and would give me very dirty looks, and she even told me I SMELLED. I go to the nail salon to feel good and this was a super unpleasant experience that made me feel really uncomfortable. I don’t think I’ll be going back after this.

Great manicures and pedicures! They do a great job, Tony is my favorite because he is so through, gives a strong leg massage and my nails are always perfect and never chip (I get gel/shellac). They are very clean and friendly. I highly recommend them.

This place is great. They always seem able to fit me in AND give me exactly what i want and more. The prices can change. For example, when I was a new face they kept giving me great deals. Then as they saw I was gonna stick around they started charging me normal prices for the exact same service. It seemed a little backwards. But they do a good job so its cool! I do wish they had like a stamp card or something for frequent flyers. It would make me come more often.

New Identity is my favorite place to get a pedicure in NE Portland. Ive been going since they opened and have always had a great experience. A glass of wine is complimentary or your choice of water, tea or soda. And if youre with a group theyve got fantastic karaoke. Hands down the best in the Lloyd District.

Was in today to have a pedicure & the paraffin wax was SCALDING HOT & my foot was burned! They acted like no big deal, asked if I was okay but didnt bother to offer any solution. I still was charged full price & my foot is still in pain. Thank goodness I do not have blisters! I do not think I will be going back here again. I would give this 0 stars, but only have the option of 1 star

I love this place. Ive been to several nail salon in Portland and by far I love how friendly and talkative they are. Its a great place to come to after work and decompress while drinking a mimosa!Plus on top of that my nails are always on point!

The man who did my nails did a terrible job at shaping them. Cut off way too much off my nice natural nails and now theyre hurting to grow in.Also most places I go to provide a little hand massage. This place didnt. Maybe thats not customary but I had thought so.

I am new to Portland and went to New Identity on a whim (close to where I live!). This place was amazing! I went in for a basic pedicure and got my moneys worth. $25 and I was there for a good 40 minutes getting my toes super pampered. The massage was professional, phenomenal and not rushed at all. Everyone there was super sweet and professional. The gentleman I worked with remembered everyone who walked in the door and checked in with them without making me feel excluded. I highly recommend trying this place!

Super nice folks. I have had 2 shellac manicuress recently and loved them. There is one tech who can hand paint emblems and she is incredible. They offer snacks and beverages.

Jenny is so bomb! She takes her time and pays attention to detail. LOVE HER !

I have been going to this place since it opened. The staff is wonderful and the salon is clean and pleasant. I have tried many salons in the area and this is the only one I have found where they know how to shape your nails and make them look natural. They get busy, so I highly recommend an appointment!Seriously book it and go!!

Since new management they Started using cheaper and possibly illegal acrylic powder. After nearly 5 years of acrylic nails I have one nail with damage from this place that I’ve been trying to correct for almost a year now

I go in here every 2 weeks and my nail tech maria has never failed. she takes her time which sometimes takes a little longer but I want my nails to look good so it doesnt matter to me. also, I would call right before you go in just to see if there is room or else you have to wait. but overall, great service and a complementary drink of your choice comes with any service.

I went there and they over charged me. I was paying for a $30 full set and they charged me for my sisters nails as well without listening when I told them the payments were separate. I was charged for a pending transaction of $48 and was returned the $18 (which does not come for 3 business days.) When the transaction finally finished pending it was charged for $61 with $18 returned. They still overcharged me $13!!! On top of all of that I showed a picture of the nails I wanted and said I wanted them just like that. The man said okay and I asked if he wanted me to leave the picture up on my phone and he said no I remember. Well at then end of the nail appointment my nails were not what I wanted on the photo. I mentioned it to him and his excuse was I didnt tell him. No he was remembering from the picture. Save yourself the trouble and pass on this place!

My friend sent me their website and I was impressed by it so I decided to try their service. About price, I think its Ok, and services, they did carefully so I got a nice nails. I plan to come here next week cause some friends and customers who I met in here highly recommend about waxing.

Complementary tea, soda, wine, or bubbly always lovely. Ive gotten both a pedicure and shellac manicure with zero complaints. I call ahead and go earlier in the AM when there are fewer customers. Feels less rushed and calmer. Fyi, $2 for a baggie of nail file and two foot scrubbers or whatever you need for a manicure. You can keep it and bring it back to use next time. I imagine you can bring in your own, but I havent done that.

I went in for a pedicure and shellac manicure. Though everyone was nice, this is hands down the worst of each Ive ever gotten. There is red polish all over my toes (not the nails) and smudges in the polish from their fingers. I will not return.

Disappointed. I got the powder dip nails done & they were pretty but the lady cut me with the electric file three times. I looked past that until 6 days after I got them done the gel top coat peeled off of most of my nails. Day 8 & one of my fingers is cracked throughout the nail and one chipped out a huge chunk. Ive never had this issue when having powder dipped nails before. Will not be returning.

Ive gone to quite a few nail salons and I am impressed with the staff comfort of chairs, attention to detail and bonus they have cute kids chairs with butterfly wings for a parent child outing.

My husband and I got Pedicures this evening and New Identity did and awesome job! Took there time and did a quality pedicure!

While working and shopping in the Lloyd center this Christmas, I stopped in for a new set. The new management advertised 20% discount and fairly reasonable prices. I had a gone in for a clean, classy set of solar nails. When I told the young woman what I wanted and showed her the picture, she indicated she understood. Then proceeded to ask me if I wanted ombre. Unsure of what that meant I agreed. As she began doing the filing I specifically asked for her not to cut my cuticles which she proceeded to do anyways. I explained how long and the shape, niether came out the way I wanted. After being finished the lady explained the price was $45.00 for a set that was posted at 35.00 not including file. I attempted to return to hopefully make right the wrong upon the first visit (no discount, no price disclosure, price gauging after application). To my surprise women listen closely as the new woman began cutting my nails down the odor of MMA was very apparent. The ladies began talking angrily as they noticed it but this time gave a discount of $25.00 for the fill. Rather than returning I waited till my nails were grown out and took them off myself. The mma powder was on so thick that I have no choice now but to file electrically, thank you for the experience but no thank you!!!!!

I got a shellac manicure at this place only because my normal nail salon down the street was full and I didnt want to wait an hour. Next time Ill wait. The lady who did my nails was not very friendly at all. She literally spoke maybe 5 words while I was there, only to try to sell me on an eyebrow job I didnt need. She gave me a very rude look when I turn down the brows, and refused to put a third coat of a very sheer color on my nails, so you could still see my nail line through the polish. I asked for 3 coats specifically for this reason, but she acted like it was not necessary and literally put a third coat on one single nail. Really? Also, the tips were not well done and the polish started peeling in just one week. Total waste of $30 and I will not be going back.Vogue II down the street does a great job on my nails every time, and theyre good for at least 3 weeks, for the same price.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a nail salon. First of all the place smelt like mildew when we walked in which should have been our first sign to run like hell. They had the door open and flies were swarming the place, it was so disgusting. They offered us a drink so I got a red wine and after I finished and set my glass down the flies then started swarming my glass I pointed this out to the lady giving me my pedicure and all she did was laugh. Finally the lady doing my friends manicure yelled at her from across the room to go put my cup in the back... This took about 20 minutes. So before she even started my pedicure she hands me a sheet of paper with several different scents on it and asks me to pick one. There is absolutely no cost on it so I ask her what is this for and she says you pick a sent and starts suggesting good ones for me. I figure ok cool this must come with the pedicure because during this time she never once mentioned a cost or upgrade for it (how naive of me) long story short I go to pay and they charge me $45 dollars for a pedicure advertised as $35 I ask why it was so much and she says because you picked a scent.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Beware off their shifty practices, very shady and sneaky people. I would never in my life go back to this place you cannot trick people into upgrades. SMH

This place is a horrible place! I was going to get my nails done an there were 3 ladys an one of them was on the phone the WHOLE time I was getting them done, an they kept getting more customers. My nail polish smudged after I left to go home, after they said it was dry. Then 2 days later one of my nails broke, then not even 4 days after they were done another one broke! Definitely will NOT be coming back for anything! Very disappointed in this place!

I would do less than one star if I could. I went to get my acrylics removed and then he proceeded to take a thin piece of plastic and shove it underneath my glued down acrylic and slowly RIP off my nails. He didn’t fill them down, he didn’t soak them in acetone, nope just ripped them off my already thin nails. I’m left with bruising on my nails, and peeling. I pulled my hands away multiple times and told him it hurt, I had never had acrylics taken off so I was not sure of the protocol but I knew it wasn’t supposed to hurt. I asked him if he could file them down instead and he mumbled “later” then processed to pull aggressively on my nails to the point where I was scrunched in my chair from the pain, while the rest of the staff did nothing. This is a deplorable establishment and I’d be lying if I said hadn’t gone home crying. My nails are slightly purple/brown/red and hurt to the touch.

They have a good memory cuz they always remember my name and my fav color as well as kind of services. :) We always have great conversations from in to out. Thats the reason why I write this review to recommend everybody go New Identity. Youll feel worth for sure.

Sat with my feet in water for 20 minutes while my sister got her pedicure. They told us they could get us both in, but apparently they didn’t really have time. I got 1/2 a pedicure for full price. Lame.
