I would not recommended using H&E paint bar for nail services. We booked far in advance for a wedding party and they canceled on us DAY OF and were incredibly rude and not helpful at all. They kept blaming me for the mix up and were not taking any responsibility or even trying to make sure the two BRIDES were able to get the services they needed. We went to a place that was much more professional near by and more than half the price. Save yourself the headache and stress if you are wanting to book for a group and go somewhere else.

We were a wedding party who had booked appointments for seven people months in advance and paid a deposit for half of services and one hour before our appointment we were informed by a very unhelpful and unprofessional employee that the appointments were made incorrectly and they did not have the staff to perform the services needed, not even to do the manicure/pedicure of the two brides in the wedding party. Very disappointing and added a lot of unnecessary stress to a wedding weekend, would not recommend H&E nail bar to anyone wanting a reliable nail appointment for a wedding party.

GREAT place to go!! I got the pedicure with the hot stones and nice scrub and it was heaven. The girls are a ton of fun and made the experience that much better. It is beautiful inside and unlike some salons, there are no noxious fumes to nauseate you. A great experience and my new favorite place to get nails done. I went a little over a week ago and my polish is still perfect. Upgrade for the lasting polish, its so worth it.

Came here for my birthday last Tuesday and my nail tech was Kimberly. The price point is a bit more than Ive spent in the past for pedicures but honestly, this is one of the best looking pedicures Ive ever had. Im extremely pleased and will definitely come back next time Im in town. They have a wide range of colors to choose from and its very clean and bright inside.

I visited HE paint bar on a Thursday, got a dip manicure, and 3 days later my nails already started cracking. They rushed through my manicure to appease a difficult client who required the time of my nail tech. I was very respectful at the time and understood that she needed to take over the other woman’s manicure. I did not realize this would lead to her rushing through mine. Once my nails started cracking only a few days later I called asking if I could book time to come in and have them fix the nails that had chipped. They told me it would come at a charge. I wanted to like this nail salon but was highly disappointed by the service and their unwillingness to fix my nails. I would have appreciated at least a call back apologizing for what had happened and an attempt to make some sort of resolution.

Best place to get your nails done in Maine & I mean the absolute BEST. I am super picky and since I found this place over a year ago I have had no issues. My nails are always perfect and exactly what I asked for. Love this place and the ladies that work here are awesome! another plus is that the online booking system is easy to use. 10/10 would recommend!

I came here with 3 family members to get my nails done for my wedding and the entire experience was a dream! All of our technicians (Shelby, Emily, Kimberly, and one other but I forgot her name-sorry!) were incredible at their job and had great conversations with us. We all loved our nails and felt so spoiled by the amazing service we received. If I lived here, I’d be in every two weeks!

I was so thankful to the girls at H&E!! They fixed my nails after hearing my horror story going to a horrible salon that butchered my nails! They helped me knowing I needed them desperately! They fit me in knowing I had an event the next day and I wasnt able to get in to another salon before. They are truly my nail Angels. I will never go to another nail salon now and I will never go back to acrylic nails after they introduced me to dip powder. Thank you ladies so much! ❤

Shelby is amazing. Ive been fortunate to have had pedicures in a variety of cities around the world and I cannot recommend this salon highly enough. It was clear that everyone who works there is always clean and cautious, but they were wonderfully careful during this difficult time of COVID. A wonderful hour plus-long pampering during this crazy pandemic. I highly recommend that you pay them a visit and treat yourself!

Im definitely a nail salon connoisseur or and I would say from Mexico to Miami to Bangor Maine this might be my favorite place. Its comfortable they know what theyre doing, you can get the latest trendy nail styles. Its not too expensive either. Definitely my go-to salon in the Portland area now.

Wow!! What a nail transformation! I went in with crazy long, chipped, broken and wicked thick and unnatural looking dip nails that I had for over a month. Kimberly patiently took an hour getting that terrible mess off my nails with no drill (that’s how she does it, and honestly as we agreed, that’s part of the draw for a lot of people). She cut them down to a much more manageable length and did an absolutely meticulous job, probably the best I’ve ever had. My nails look natural, smooth, even and perfect around the edges and cuticles. The color selection is great and the place is so pretty. While the price is higher than I’m used to, I think it’s very worth it. You can even Venmo the tip so no worries about getting to the bank or ATM if you’re in a rush. There is no good reason to go anywhere else!

Absolutely loved this natural nail salon! Linda was great, and the shops decor is very nice and upscale. It’s also a plus that they serve drinks as well. If you are in town I recommend you check this place out.

I came here with my sister and had a wonderful time. Kimberly and Linda did our pedicures and manicures. They offered mimosas and other beverages right away. Fun conversation, great attention to detail in painting our nails. Overall a great experience!

Fancy doesnt necessarily mean quality. While the glass of champagne was a nice touch and the ambiance is above your standard nail salon and very chandelier-y, the pedicure was just ok. Chipped within a few weeks. Ill stick with the basic salons.

Exactly what Portland needed. Amazing nail artists, with high standards. Only place in town Ill let touch my feet, or do my gels. Highly recommend.

Cutest nail bar ever. I see Sarah here for her next level gel manicures, dont leave without some glitter. I highly recommend making your appointment online because Sarah is always booked up, but theres usually at least one person available for walk ins, and it looks like the perfect place for groups, as they have about 15 seats for pedicures and manicures. They are located right across from the dunkin donuts in city center, if youre having trouble finding the location. Theres usually plenty of street parking on free and spring streets, as well the parking lot next to El rayo, city center garage, and temple st garage all a 1 minute walk away.
