First impression the salon is cute. When I called to make the appointment the man on the phone quoted me 55 for the gel set and 5 to remove the nails. My appointment was for 6pm. When I got there it took 15 min for someone to say anything to me. One of the flowers doesn’t even looked like a flower. Still got charged for it. I paid 97$ for this set. Will not be going back

Would definitely recommend if youre looking for a quick/cheap manicure , pedicure. Will definitely be going back .

My first time here. Amazing experience at this salon. My 9 year old son and I visited today, him for a mani-pedi and me for a pedicure. The women here did an amazing job of making him and me feel so special and well-taken care of. They even offered advice on what colors are good for my skin tone. They also follow the all the COVID guideline (temperature check, social distancing, and sanitizing) and everything was very sanitary. I will be returning.

I have had my nails done consistently for 15 years and I have never had them botched like this or charged so much. I went in for a new set of acrylics mid sept so I could have them done for my birthday and *showed Randy a picture of what I wanted, normal coffin nails- he said okay. He proceeded to build the acrylic almost half an inch thick and then drill from under the nail so they stuck straight up,- rather than on top of the nail as standard procedure to cause a natural curve (I went to beauty school, what he did is not standard technique in any way, Ive never seen such a thing nor understand why anyone would do it). I brought it up to him but it was too late for him to make them look normal. He proceeded to charge me $73; I also tipped making them almost a $90 set of nails which is insane. I called once I got home and explained (very nicely) that I filed and soaked them all off due to the non-standard technique he personally used and how bad they looked and told him I would rather talk to him personally than publicly leave a bad review and asked for a refund due to not getting what I thought I was paying for and having to immediately remove them. He said he doesnt give refunds but will credit my account to come back at a later date once my nails have healed from just being ground down, to get them redone regularly. I said okay. It is now mid october and I feel semi safe getting them drilled down again to actually have my nails done like I wanted and am told I only have a $35 credit on my account to come back but they cant get me in for atleast a month. Even with a $35 credit, Id be paying more (again) to have them done here than going to a new salon that values customer service and making their mistakes right and they cant do them for a MONTH?? Now they have called me back and said that due to me being unhappy with the customer service while not being refunded or the nail job being corrected, they do not want me to come back and will not be crediting or refunding me any money. I think I have left one bad review for a place ever but this is bad, do not give this salon your business. Attached is a pic of my nails when they did them (nude color), as well as a pic of them when done normally by a different salon in the past (red nails), for comparison.

Hi there, Ive debated writing this for a while. I frequented the nail salon regularly in the past few years. I got regular fills and sets, and the occasional pedi. I love the little pup they have there, the place is cute and clean, location is easy to find. I would drive out there for their services from NE Portland. The reason for the 2 star review was how I was treated as a regular. I only saw the owner, Joann. At first she was nice and pleasant, but as she got comfortable with me she got less so. She seemed annoyed when I only wanted a simple fill and didnt want to spend $80-100 on a fill with all the bells and whistles. I over heard conversations about that regularly. She told me she would have to charge me more if I didnt learn to relax my hands(?), which was the first time Ive heard that, also there are nicer ways to say please relax your hands. They charge for matte polish. Im rough on my hands and sometimes lose a nail, she suggested I buy some nail glue, one of the those tiny Kiss bottles, since I didnt know any better she charged me $12 for one tiny bottle. I looked it up on amazon its $5 for 5 bottles. They ripped me off after I had been giving them business for over a year... Needless to say Ive never gone back and have steered people away from their business.

I went in on 01/14/2017. I saw their Instagram page prior to my appointment where they show off their best work and was excited to go in. Upon arriving the receptionist was nice and smiled constantly. Although, I expected my technician to be friendly since she would be the one working on my nails, that was not the case. I smiled to her and I guess it is too much to ask for a smile back. Throughout the service she was talking to other girls around me and not once asked me anything, not a single How is your day going? I had nail polish on when I got there so she took it off but did not take it off around the edges. When she was done I had to ask for her to clean up the nail polish residue around my cuticle which she responded with It will come off after washing your hands. After washing my hands it did not come off and she handed me a $65 ticket when their full set price is advertised as $30. The receptionist explained why it was that much. $50 because she had to use GEL to get the ombre effect I wanted and then an additional $15 for ombre? That does not make sense! How is it that you will use a more expensive material to get the design and still charge the design fee when nothing additional was done?? After having them a whole day and washing my hands a few times, the nail polish was not coming off and there were 2 nails lifting by Monday 01/16/2017. So I contacted them via their Instagram which they seem very active on letting them know that I would like to come in to get this issue fixed and attached pictures. They have a 7 day guarantee and there is states they will fix their issue, all they need is pictures. It is now Thursday and I have not heard back. I also contacted them via Facebook, Vagaro and A follow up message on Instagram. No one has bothered to contact me to rectify the issue. Save your money and go to somewhere else that has better customer service or at least puts more attention to their work. I will not be recommending this place to anyone.

I go in for my next appointment, where she used the wrong powder so it didnt match up and she had to use a color polish to cover it up and THEN CHARGED ME $25.00 for it!! So I ended up paying over $70.00 for a simple fill that she BOTCHED!! They charge you whatever they feel at the time and you get a different quality of nails EACH time you go in!! Now she says I have to see another tech if I want my nails done there because she didnt like me calling her out on messing up my nails!! Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE ELSE!! Stay away from this place. Worst nail salon EVER! I got my nails done on June 7th by Vicki. My friend highly recommend this place. I’ve been getting dipping powder for over a year. Within the 1 days six of my nails had completely come off. By day 13 eight of them were now gone. It was clear that Vicki didn’t do a good job because they shouldn’t just fall off. I called and the manager made me an appointment to fix them free of charge. I showed up at my appointment and was told I only had a 10 minute fix appointment and they needed more time and that I would have to come back at a different time and they would give me 50% off. After I left the manager tried to call and text me saying if I came back on another day they would do it for free. Umm no thanks. I will never come back to this place again!

A frustrating and unrelaxing experience with nails that are too short and a bumpy gelcoat.Update: Within a week the gelcoat started peeling off from the cuticle up taking layers of nail with it. Only one nail has any gel coat left on it and the rest are damaged, flaky and weak a month and a half later. Not sure if she didn’t prepare the nails properly before applying the gelcoat or if this is normal but it was a pain dealing with edges of gelcoat peeling up and catching on everything and having to trim it off slowly while trying not to peel nail off with itA friend treated me to a Mani/pedi for my birthday. I’m a hard-working person who gardens and works with my hands. This is only the second time I’ve ever had my nails done as a treatment gets destroyed pretty quickly.Between me not knowing how the process works and communication being a struggle with my manicurist hardly speaking English while wearing a mask and having a sneeze barrier between us it was frustrating to say the least.Hardly anyone in the salon (who all did speak English pretty well) seemed to care that I was being frustrated or tried to help out in explaining what was going on or what she was asking. I kept having to try and ask the lady doing a manicure next to us what my my manicurist was saying. I felt embarrassed that I didn’t know what was being asked and felt like a country bumpkin for the fact that I work outdoors and I’m not a sleek urban housewife who does this kind of thing all the time.On top of that, she kept filing my nails down as she was trying to shape them (of which was not very well) even when I kept asking her not to so they’re too short and I can hardly pick anything up now. Some of my nails have bumps where she left drops of gel coat instead of smoothing it out before curing them as well.It was supposed to be a relaxing experience but I was tense the whole time feeling like I didn’t know what was going on and that things were not being done how I would like due to not being able to communicate. The whole ordeal cost $80. I wish I had asked for someone else to do my nails or that they took more care in their customer’s experience at their salon as the experience and the results were not worth it.The only thing I’m happy with is the color of my nails of which still took 20 minutes to communicate and figure out.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was following this location on instagram because they do really cute nails, I was excited to try them. I ended up with really cute nails, thought I might go back but 9 days after getting them done they were already messed up. Corners were missing- gel was ripped off (which never happens to me). At day 12 all of the nails were torn. I called because I paid 15 more than I normally do (at my regular place) and told them about my nails, how its never happened before, how they were done poorly. They set up an apt to fix them to make it right. Well I ended up paying ANOTHER 40$ to fix them! So 95$ JUST for my nails in TWO WEEKS which I normally spend 55 WITH tip (at my old place). Then in order to fix them she made me wait 30 minutes past my appointment time and made me 30 minutes late to my next appointment. I WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone. They might do cute nails but they are terrible quality nails, do not last long and are overpriced for simple designs.

Joanne is hands down the worst nail tech I have ever had. I went in to get acrylics for prom and ended up crying when I left. She didn’t listen to what I had asked and was cold the entire time. Not to mention my nails were insanely thick, uneven and slanted upwards. They looked like $20 acrylics when I had paid $80. When I called to get her to fix them they were SO inflexible and rude and didn’t even try to fit me in before my prom. One of the times I called to schedule an appointment they even hung up on me. I have never been interrupted, blown off and disrespected so much by a business. The customer service here is horrible, but the place itself seems reasonably clean. Give your money to someone accommodating who will listen and knows how to do at least a half decent set, because (in my experience) Joanne can’t.

I have never left a review, but I felt that I need to share my experience . Yesterday morning I booked an appointment online for later that afternoon. When I showed up the nail tech was way behind schedule and asked me to come again this morning at 9:30. At 9:06 she texted saying she was stuck in traffic and that a different nail tech will be in at 9:30 to take care of me. I waited until 9:40 and still no one had shown up. I am self employed and every minute of my time is money for my family and I am beyond angry that they took so much of both from me. My only note for the owner if they care to read it is that the value of time is much more important then any amount of money .

I REALLY wanted to like them. My friend gets her nails done by Vicky and is happy with her. Unfortunately, she was out of town when I booked, so I went with the next highest rated tech-Nilly. Immediate regret...She kept pushing my to get gel, but thats not what I wanted...I never get gel on my toes. She did a sub-par job on the actual pedicure, at best (I had to file away some dead skin she missed on my heel later while I was waiting for my toes to dry). She didnt take care of my cuticles (see photo), and she didnt paint color all the way down to the base of my nail. Then, when I asked for a flower design on my big toes, it was a royal disaster (see attached). I asked for a simple design and showed her a sample of what Im looking for. Her first one (on my left foot) was decent...not the quality Im used to, but I was gonna let it slide. But my RIGHT toe!?! Good GOD! First off, she had to redo that one like 3 times. Honestly, I think she got frustrated and just gave up instead of actually trying to make them match. The rhinestone isnt centered (looks like she tried to after applying it, but then it smudged the polish), and the feathering coming off of the flower is just dots (not like the left toe).By now, Ive spent an hour and a half here, for a simple classic pedicure, and Nillys lack of attention to detail and seemingly uncaring attitude make me just want to leave...I dont have the time to ask her to fix it. So I go to leave after being told my toes are dry enough to go, and not only was the front desk lady that checked me out rude, but she forced me to pay the excessive $10 fee for the nail art that was atrocious.Hopefully a manager or owner reads this and tries to make it right, because this is NOT the proper way to run a service-industry business. Otherwise, I will be telling all of my friends and family how terrible this place is.

I am giving a high rating because of my special circumstance. I bashed my big toe into a curb and split the nail to the cuticle! It hurt and was so raw and ugly. Mai repaired it with a silk wrap as I requested. She did an excellent job! It doesnt hurt anymore and I dont have to wear a band-aid.I was looking for a place that could do silk because I react to the powder. I started looking last week and talked to over 12 nail salons. I even asked a podiatrist for a referral - none. I have very sensitive feet and do speak out about my concerns (a difficult customer).Mai also worked me in at closing (7:00pm) after she had driven for over six hours earlier that day! She is very experienced and did a beautiful job! This place is very nice inside but could use better air flow. It is also very expensive so I just had the repair done. The nails I saw were very nice and I would have had an entire mani- pedi but it was just too much for me. Maybe another time. I will be back for repairs!

Today was the second time I’ve given this place a try. It’s beautifully furnished, has TONS of color options, and the price is right. However, you get what you pay for, it turns out. Or in my case, not quite even that.My friend wanted to celebrate her ultra-girly, princess daughter’s 3rd birthday with pedicures. This little girl is a pedi-vet. Just two weeks ago, I painted her fingernails with gel polish; she was an ultimate champ! Today, we booked 4 pedicures (2 adults and 2 children) for 11:10am.We both arrived with our toddlers at 11:10. We waited in the lobby but there was no-one working the front counter. After we walked to the back, someone checked us in.A few minutes later they led us to 2 pedi-spa chairs with water in them. The water was way too hot for either of us to put our feet in. When we were told to soak our feet, we explained it was too hot. The lady we spoke to added a tiny bit of cold water to my friend’s spa, but didn’t acknowledge me at all. Even after adding some cool water, it was too hot for my friend to put her feet in.We waited until NOON (50minutes!) before our pedicures were started. Because the water was still too hot at noon, we were just sitting in the chairs, waiting with our increasingly frustrated toddlers in our laps. The woman working with my friend and her daughter obviously did not want to paint the girl’s toes. She kept poking her feet with her super long nails, and then complained that the little girl was moving too much. When my friend pointed out that she was tickling her foot with her nails, the lady did nothing to adjust her behavior. When asked to paint the girl’s fingernails to match, she said she would move too much. She DIDN’T EVEN TRY. I can personally attest that this particular girl LOVES getting her nails painted and stays very still. This was a matter of a technician just refusing to do what we booked the appointment for.Now to my nail technician - she was a nice enough lady, complemented my toddlers eyes (he’s beautiful, if I do say so myself) but when I said I wanted his toenails blue, she was obviously displeased and started making excuses not to. You could tell she was taken aback that I was asking for my boy’s nails to be painted. He’s 22m and I just wanted him to feel included. I don’t even know if he would have allowed it. Again, she didn’t even want to try. When he asked to nurse, and I very discreetly offered him my breast (none of which was showing AT ALL) she picked up his jacket and put it over him. I imagine she was trying to be helpful, but I also wondered if she thought it inappropriate for me to breast feed publicly. I don’t know, and at this point, I don’t even care. The pedicures we received were mediocre at best. They barely have any massage and I was chastised for moving too much. Of course, by this time our unstimulated toddlers were ready to go. It’s super hard to stay still when a 30lb toddler is wiggling and squirming. Now, some may say we shouldn’t have brought the kids, and I’d agree with you, except for the fact that the appointment was made FOR CHILDREN. If they didn’t want to paint kids’ toes, why did they accept the reservation? The whole point of this was to treat the birthday girl to a girly adventure, and all she got were some green toes. Her mother is taking her to another (and better?) nail salon to get her fingers to match.I am so disappointed with Bridgeport Nails and their TERRIBLE service. It’s possible this could have been some sort of communication error - maybe they didn’t understand about the kids? I don’t know. Even without the kids, waiting almost an hour for a SCHEDULED appointment and then receiving a mediocre pedicure is reason enough not to go back to this establishment.

I received 5 confirmation text messages within 24 hours of my appointment. The assigned nail tech changed three times and my appointment time twice. I have no idea why they couldnt get things straightened out??I arrived at 5:30PM to find the nail tech was unavailable. I was also told that I should not expect a nail design because the nail tech was new and inexperienced. UMM…WHAT? COOL….I wait 30 MINUTES on a MONDAY with an appointment. There was only 2 other people in the salon with me. Finally, I was reassigned to someone else. The new nail tech was Vickie. She was absolutely not excited to work with me. She made me feel so unwelcome. Didn’t offer a drink, magazine, or talk to me at all. She completely ignored me the entire time. Half of my nails were cut from her tool supplies. I finally asked her to stop cutting my skin and applying nail polish remover. The shellac nail design was very simple. It took her 75 minutes to apply the nail polish. There were nail polish marks all of over my hands. We were almost 90% done, then she got frustrated and took it all off. OMG…she starts to redo the work and we’re both over it. At this point, I don’t care that it looks like crap. I just want to get out of this uncomfortable situation and go home. After a 5-second hand massage, I’m rushed out the door.Time: 2 hours for a shellac (no current polish to remove)Number of cuts: 5Nail Design: 1 out of 10Experience: 1 out of 10Price: HighConclusion: I’d never consider going back to Bridgeport Nails again.

I have been getting my nails done for 15 years now, and this is by far the best place I have ever been. Ive been coming here every two to three weeks for a year and I have no intention of going anywhere else.Mai is my main nail artist. She turned me onto Gel instead of solar, which I was skeptical of because nail places are always trying to sell you less for more, but she was RIGHT. She takes the time to make my nails look ON POINT. She will do any shape, length, or color (no only square bs here) and she always does a fantastic job. You want round? You can use your nails to calculate pi when shes done. Coffin? Book a church and wear black. Stiletto pointy enough to rip out a mans heart? GET OVER HERE!My nails are always even, well-shaped, and shiny. She is one of the only nail artists Ive been to that takes the time to really create nail art. I can come in with a suggestion or let Mai take the wheel, but either way my nails always look amazing when shes done. Strangers compliment my nails on a weekly basis and Im known as the nail lady at work. I was telling a co-worker that I was thinking of taking them off once during a period of particular brokeitude, and he actually looked sad and said that they were my signature style and hed hate to see them go (I work at a construction firm so I was not expecting that anyone cared about my nails). The salon is cute and comfortable. It can get busy and since Mai is the owner she can get distracted, but shes always willing to offer a glass of wine and an apology if things get backed up. She will actually call me to see if I need a fill before she goes out of town (or wont be at the salon for a while) and she will even stay late to accommodate the work schedules of regular clients. She really appreciates customer loyalty. And honestly, she is fun, funny, and a joy to be around. Especially once you have been in a few times and get to know her and the rest of the employees.Again, sometimes it gets hectic and people get overworked and might not be able to give everyone 100% individual attention or they have to rush a little. But honestly, if you want soft music and relaxing banter, go to a spa. If you want complete, undivided attention, go to a therapist. But if what you want are nails that will bring you fame and glory, go to Bridgeport Nails.

Dont waste your time here. The Owner doesnt even show for her appointments on time and then argues with you about the timing. Every single time she has been late and the last time was 45min late. Her own coworkers couldnt even believe her attitude for it.

With all the hype I heard about this nail salon, I am so disappointed. I paid $80 for a basic pedi and a fill w/shellac polish! I even included a $10 tip, as I always tip for services. I am glad I was able to go and see that it was not as great as all the reviewers before made it out to be. Never returning!

This was the worst experience I have ever had. The girls are unprofessional and they have the worst customer service. I swear I have never had my nails look so atrocious. I dont know who told them they could do nails or who certified them, because they need to lose their job. Do not go here, do not waste your time! Neve in my life will I return.

Absolutely loved my nails and Christina did an amazing job with my design I wanted. Just a little too expensive and I thought it was kind of ridiculous that they charged for shaping

Worst customer service, walked in, they looked at me like I was crazy for coming in for a walk in pedicure when on their door it says walk ins are welcome. They sat me down in their pedicure chairs and I was ignored for over 20 min before someone asked me if I would want a water or what color I wanted. The girls are judgemental and unprofessional.
