Latanya is the QUEEN OF CURLS! She can handle any and all textures of curl. She is also the curl product Queen -- plan to stock up when you see her. She knows what is in the products and keeps up to date on company running practices, so she only keeps quality stuff around. I have seen other curl specialists in the area before but my hair has never looked this good! I will be only seeing Latanya from now on.

I saw Latanya for my first visit over the weekend and was AMAZED at what she could do for my curly hair. She’s down to earth, easy to talk to, and did wonders for my curls! I honestly didn’t even know my hair could look this good.

I drove to Strut from Seattle, WA while they were in transition from their old salon before moving in to their new space (which is GORGEOUS).Tabitha was my stylist, and I am beyond pleased with how my cut and color came out. I came to her with a pretty ambitious idea of taking my naturally dark and grown out hair hoping to have it transformed into a green bob.She went above and beyond to deliver the amazing multidimensional emerald green perfection pictured below. I have had different colors (pink, blue, red) before, but never have I gotten so many positive compliments on my hair! So many people ask me about it and are blown away with how great it looks in person.Everyone who I met while there was so friendly and sweet, I even was able to bring my boyfriend and 18-month old in with me, despite the space being temporary and cozy, we all felt welcomed. I’m so grateful to have a stylist who didn’t mind taking her time with me to provide an exceptional service and product. I probably won’t have anyone but Tabitha touch my hair for as long as humanly possible!

Ive been getting regular curly cuts from Latanya for about 2 years now. She saved me from a horrible haircut and is the only person I trust with my curly crown. The salon is spacious and beautiful and theyve put great COVID cautions in place. 100% recommend!

Coy is amazing! He is the only stylist in Charleston I would let touch my fragile crazy hair and I’m making an appointment for when I visit friends in Portland. He’s worth the wait and the results are incredible every time. Book now if you haven’t yet because he stays busy!

Stevi gave me a haircut as well as a hair consultation for coloring my hair. She took her time with my hair and did an amazing job with my haircut she did exactly what I asked for. She was friendly and overall had a great experience!

I think Ive found my new stylist in OR !! Semi and her assistant Auden did a fabulous job today fixing up my roots and giving me a beautiful sombre and haircut. She listened to what I wanted and made suggestions as to what she thought would look best after she assessed my hair and face shape. Definitely going back!!

Tabitha is the only stylist that has ever understood my hair! Stylists will either not do enough or do way too much when approaching my mixed textured hair. Tabitha knew just what to do to make my hair silky smooth and easy to manage for awhile. So thankful I went there and will be going back ❤❤❤

This place is amazing! The salon has a wonderful atmosphere, and is very well decorated. Patrick Purvis did my hair, and I cannot recommend him enough! I came in wanting some curtain bangs to live my best Farrah Fawcett/70s life, and Patrick gave me a fantastic haircut. I definitely recommend Patrick and this salon!

Bridget did a phenomenal job on my hair. I didnt receive color or highlights, but the cut was amazing. Ive always said that my hair naturally takes about a month to truly grow into a cut, and today I was graciously proved wrong. She thinned out my hair and added longer layers that beautifully blend in. Bridget is quick and efficient, but gentle and precise. I would recommend her to anyone, and Im looking forward to having her as my stylist again when I move back to the area.

I have been going to Melissa at Strut for several years. She is AMAZING! The first time I went to her I just let her do her creative thing, and I have loved my hair ever since. Sometimes I let her create something new, sometimes I have an idea of what I want, either way, my cuts are always awesome. Plus the salon recently got a style refresh and it looks great! I highly recommend it.

Let me tell you about Miss Bridget Clancy and her magic powers. This girl knows color like no other! Her grasp of the product line, of how hair takes color and how it will respond is incredible. She doesnt just mix and go, she really understands the chemistry and the artist eye thats needed to do great hair. Her passion for making you look your best is palpable and evident when walk out on to the street with most banging hair in PDX.

Sent my lovely fiancè in to see Ms.Melissa and what came back was a freaking All Star Hairdo that literally earned remarks from the salon and kisses from me! The women here are so nice! When I stopped by to grab some product I found that theyre actually under construction in the most fun new building on MLK. Im super happy they still let me come up and still buy the hair products I was needing.. and I also got a sneak peak of the BEAUTIFUL views and location!

I stumbled upon this local gem a few months ago through a Groupon they were offering, and Im 100% sure Ill be coming back. Emilia is one of the most talented hair stylists---shes really a hair *artist*--that I have ever known. She not only completely reversed what I had thought to be an irreparably botched haircut from a salon a few weeks prior, but she also created a custom color combination for me from scratch. It was the most beautiful I had ever seen my hair!Emilias work is beyond beautiful. It is inspiring. She understands color as a true artist. Just look at one of her spectacular paintings on the wall. I absolutely love this place!

I went to Bridget, and asked for a tough dye, I wanted Grey from being a naturally dark brunette. She was able to get my hair white, tinted, toned and cut in less that 3 hours! This place has a great atmosphere and incredibly kind and talented stylists. Will be going back for sure!

One of the best in Portland, if not the best. Have never had the type of artistic intake of what my hair could look like as done by Tamra. You get an entire vision of what your cut or color could look like and really get someone who is engaged and interested in how you can look your best. Sheri, the threadist/sugarist is the only person I let touch my eyebrows. I have been going to her for over 4 years now, and she never disappoints. I moved to the east coast over a year ago now, and she is always the first person I see whenever I am back in Oregon.

I found this place using Groupon, its a bit out of my way but I was super impressed ad happy I found it. Jennifer was my stylist and she was really great, she did exactly what I wanted. The inside is really nice, they offer you something to drink and its all very relaxed and friendly. Even though its a bit of a hike out on MLK Ill definitely be back.

Rachel Elizabeth Jenkins is INCREDIBLE. All the stylists have a great vibe, they are a talented group of artists who arent afraid to experiment and try new things, but they back that up with years of experience, expertise, training, and doing the basics flawlessly.

I was looking for a new salon, and came in on a Groupon. It was time for a change (blond and long), but I didnt know what I wanted...so I thought Id let my stylist Emelia choose! Boy, was I in for a treat. We chatted a bit, and settled on leaving it long...she suggested doing an ombre fade from brunette to red, and it turned out delicious. Ill be back, for certain.The salon is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall on MLK (youd drive right by it first time around), but is very nice and open inside, with custom art by Emelia. She definitely lets her artistic style show through in her color/cut jobs, as well!

I will never return to this salon. Jennifer was extremely rude and a prima donna hairstylist! In this day and age of being green, I was trying to help someone out by having them meet me at the salon prior to appointment since they lived inTroutdale and I live in Washington County. The person was late. They were getting an item from me and it took less than 5 minutes. Because of that Jennifer refused to cut my hair and or honor my gift certificate.Even before that happened, I couldnt help but wonder if her coldness was because of my skin tone or maybe an issue with plus size people! There are plenty of other salons to patronize in the tri-county area. I thought about whether or not to write this review for awhile. However, after talking to other stylists about what happened, I decided to go ahead and write this review.Jennifers excuse was that because of this time used that she would not have enough time to cut my hair. She said that she required a full hour! Yet, one of her colleagues was able to cut my hair in 20 minutes. Penelope is a hair stylist with a conscious!
