As a stylist I sometimes need to find other salon that carry products that I am out of. Lavi and see the phone today. I told her my client is looking for Brazilian #3 before she left at 6 am on her flight to NY and that I was still working on her hair past 6pm which Valerium was closing 6pm. She took my information and text me back that she could drop it off since I am located in NE. I told her I would put in a traveling fee for her generosity. This is true professional service and helping another salon make a win with my client. Thank you Lavi! She’s an asset to Valerium Salon!

Dorene was completely unprofessional and rude. She told me that she would not be able to wax me because I’m pregnant. When I scheduled the appointment I told the receptionist that I would be using a Groupon and that I’m pregnant. Dorene said she charges more for pregnant people and that it would be too difficult for her. She said she would need more time. She made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and I walked out without having the service completed. Just 6 weeks prior I had been waxed by somebody else (still very pregnant at the time) with no issues so this was completely Dorene’s fault. Do not go to her.

Dorene is wonderful. She is so kind and an expert waxer. She makes the experience comfortable, quick and as painless as possible. Highly recommend!

Valerium is cononnsummate professional who provides exceptional color, cut style services. I have always loved my hair when he is done and I have an exceptionally high bar. I recommend him to anyone but as a woman with curly corse hair I know how scary getting your hair done can be. Hes AMAZING!

Valerium really knows what hes doing. My hair isnt curly or straight and have had a harm time getting hair cuts. Never have to worry with him behind the scissors and a master with dye as well. All the staff is extremely friendly and respectful.

Absolutely terrible experience with Dorene. If I could give no stars I would. To start off with she was rude. During the appointment I was taken aback several times by her negative attitude towards me. And then the wax...not only did she miss several spots but it was extremely painful. At the end of the appointment she put on an ointment and instructed me to leave it on all day. However, on the drive home it began to sting terribly. When I got home I discovered the reason for the pain. She had taken off a layer of skin in 3 different spots!! I have gotten waxed several times and this has never happened. It hurts to do pretty much anything...I have no idea how long this will take to heal. I am beyond livid.

Valerium is FANTASTIC! My hair has been a challenge for me my whole life, wavy in some places, straight in others, uncooperative and unpredictable. I used to wake up and spend an hour in front of the mirror playing lets make a deal with it.That all changed fifteen years ago when a close friend of mine showed up on my doorstep with the cutest haircut! The length and shape faltered her face and neck and she looked fabulous. Before she was out the door I was on the phone making my first appointment. No one other than Valerium has cut, colored or helped to calm the curls and frizz since.He has really great instincts and personal style and I have complete trust in him to give me a cut that is stylish and low-maintenance and with fabulous color. Hes happy to be adventurous when I am, but offers his recommendations or concerns so that I dont leave wishing I hadnt been.You know you have a great stylist when you get complements on your hair from complete strangers every single day! Sometimes they are admiring my hair color, other times its the fabulous cut and sometimes they ask how I get my hair so smooth and shiny. I have sent my whole family to him and they are all hooked.

I have been seeing Valerium since 2011. He always does such a great job and always I receive so many complements. If I felt comfortable having my picture taken I would post the results. He is awesome.

Valerium is my favorite hairstylist! I have colored my hair several times and I never got a good result but with Valerium I was amazed by the result. I have been going to Valerium Salon for about 5-6 years now and love it! I have seen both Valerium and Alisha and they are wonderful - great stylists, fantastic people. Valerium does amazing color and weve mixed it up over the years every which way and I always walk away happy and always garner compliments. Ive also had the sheen smoothing/ straightening treatment a few times since I have curly hair and hes so thorough that it lasts for 6+ months! Most recently... after 5 years of debating, I decided to cut my long hair into a fun, frisky bob and I LOVE IT. Valerium takes such careful pride in his work, he wants you to be happy and he always knows whats going to work with your hair, style and look. Hes extremely hard working and has built an incredibly successful business - and it shows.

I had my hair done by Lavi. I had showed her a picture of the color I wanted and it turned out exactly how I wanted. She gave me a really great shampoo and blow out and also took the time to teach me how to style my hair. The salon is really cute and everyone there is very welcoming.

Valerium is a genius artist and Wonder Worker!!! And Lavi his assistant is terrific too!

One of the biggest requirements when looking to change hairstylists was proximity to my house, and this salon is truly convenient, but thats not why I continue to go to Valerium. The owner has true passion for hair and style, and has a great way with color. Hes also great company, and makes clients feel welcome.

Ive been a regular at this salon for the last 5 or 6 years. I love the modern, luxurious atmosphere, along with the music, magazines, and complimentary wine, tea, or water they provide during your service. The staff are all friendly and professional. Alisha is my stylist, and she is the only person who has ever given me great hair that I truly love... people always compliment me on my hair since I started seeing her. She specializes in curly hair, but I didnt know that until recently. Mine is straight yet unruly, and she knows how to cut it and color it so I look like I belong in a magazine. Well, at least my hair does!

Ive been following Valerium wherever he goes...and I always will! I love the color he gives my hair and I love my haircuts. He is just the best, and besides that, hes a wonderful guy who I always look forward to seeing.

I get my cut & color from the amazing Valerium himself, who is not only a top notch stylist, he is a top notch human being as well. My hair was long(er) when I first started seeing him, and as soon as I got the guts to chop it off he gave me an adorably cute and feminine gamine pixie cut, and true to my fickle self Ive now decided to grow it out again. Valerium goes above and beyond to make sure youre happy, taking time to discuss options and make sure youll leave the salon thrilled with your look.
