Stopped in to see if they can do a little work on my P/ U. Talked with them a while, friendly, informative and they said they could do the work.

I recently got my car engine looked at and dont get me wrong, did a wonderful job, however they kept telling me different times to pick up my car. It kept getting later and later then the next day. Also, I got a quote to see what needs fixed and their prices are insane! Almost $400 for transmission flush and I got one around the corner for $189. Like whoa. But hey they are just trying to make a living. Wound up spending about $400 for them to fix a oil leak!

Ive taken two vehicles in for different services, once I needed to make payments on my repairs. Had no pressure on paying in a certain time periods. Ive always and still do references friends to take their vehicles there when you need good, honest advice and help.

My experience at K&M was great. Yes it was spendy but its a locally owned mom and pop shop with local guys supporting their familys. Its important to support local businesses especially in our crazy covid world. And lets keep it real; You pay for what you get!The staff treated me well, esp Logan and Marshall(extremely helpful and fast with my requests anytime i called). As a woman Ive dealt with mechanics that use my lack of knowledge to rip me off and/or talk down to me. I felt respected by the staff and would recommend the top notch service and will be a return customer when needed. The repairs took longer than anticipated but i would prefer the repairs done right as opposed to done fast.

Friendly, knowledgeable, professional are a few adjectives Ill use to describe this business, as well as the folks working here. I highly recommend them, and will be taking my vehicles back as often as I can afford to (some issues are more time-consuming than others).

I called on Tuesday and spoke with Logan. Since I was pressed for time, he told me to bring it in on Thursday. When I brought it in shortly after 8:00am, I had to remind Logan the whole story. He wrote nothing down from my phone. No appointment made from Tuesday even after taking his advice to bring it in on a later date.. I took off work for them to work on it today, Thursday.I called after seven hours to check to see if they had looked at the car. He said he was writing it up. Writing what up? My bill? A quote? He said he would call me back in 15 minutes with a quote.One half hour later, after I had waited eight hours for them to even look at my vehicle, he called to give me a quote. When they called to quote me, they wanted almost $900 for extra services I never wanted, that did not have anything to do with my intent for bringing it in the first place. Total disregard for my initial request. I had already told him I did not want to invest that type of money when I brought it in. When I reminded him what specifically I wanted completed, they also said they could not do the work today. He told me, Well I am not going to hold your car hostage...I lost money by not going to work, was waiting for further expense for the work that was to be completed on my car. Still no service performed. I learned my lesson. Never again. Please dont make the same mistake I did.

A referral to NE from a sales acquaintance to my family is a place that had many days of waiting before checking on your car. Least did we know that Jiffy Lube knew a better place in K & M Auto Service. Please find Logan Rice. He took the car repairs without any hesitations with excellent work done! ~~~Anne

Needed a sensor fixed and they kept my car for 4 days then I drove 5 minutes away then my car dies and check engine light comes on luckily it drove back to the shop it, it stayed another night.I g ot to pick it up next day in the afternoon and its working now.

Found K & M randomly when looking for a mechanic to perform a pre-purchase inspection on a used car we are looking to buy. Logan was very helpful and professional when making the appointment. When I brought the car in, they were super accommodating to get it in while I waited and very thorough and complete in their inspection. I really appreciated them and their excellent service. If I lived closer they would be my go-to shop. I highly recommend them.

Yes, yes and yes...OMG These guys are the best. I had overheating issues and I am so very happy that when I googled an auto shop that this shop popped up. I went with my gut and gave them a try and so very happy that I did. Very friendly guys and know their stuff. They didnt price gauge me on anything and talked me through what needed to be done to get me back on the road. I am a female and usually mechanics take andvantage of females on these types of services because I have been to other establishments that have. These guys do not do that. They will be my go to guys for infinity and beyond. The service manager Logan is hella cool and Marshall I spoke with on the phone cool as well. If you need any kind of work done give these guys a shot I am so happy my gut was right. Thanks again K and M auto fantastic job

They got my brake-work done the same-day, runs beautifully now. They also didnt ream me on extra charges - as was possible given my lack of knowledge with cars. would recommend.

They do excellent work, but a lot of times their prices of fixing your vehicle can be very expensive. To show how much they appreciate their regular customers, they should at times give out discount coupons on oil changes and tune-ups, ect.

Wow! These guys are awesome. Took my car in for a transmission flush. Not only did they beat Jiffy Lubes Price by $45 they also topped off my oil, and fixed my tire pressure light. Thanks so much yall. I found my new shop.

Charged me $75 to tell me its a lifter going out and fill it with oil.. But said it wasnt throwing ANY codes.. Paid to hear what I already knew.

Good place to take vehicle. Weve been going there for years. They have multiple locations. But we like 122nd. For us its worth coming from Vancouver to 122. Scott, Jerry , Kevin and now Gerald, and the staff have always given us great service and piece(peace) of mind.

With 4.5 stars and seeing the owner actually responds to reviews was enough for me to take my 4x4 truck there for an alignment. The staff was friendly and my truck drove nice home. Looking forward to getting it on the highway next. The mechanics even checked out my truck and warned me of somethings I was unaware of. One that could have cost some serious damage to my truck. I was very surprised. I never figured them to check things over for an alignment. It wasnt like it was motor work or something. They already had a repeat customer with me by taking the time to respond to reviews and doing good work at a fair price, but leaving with my expectations succeeded has sealed it in stone!

Its pretty spendy but very due able if you save for it !! High prices but they will do you right !! I had my car down for a while and they helped me get back going and I trust there work and if I have any problems I can go back !!! So k and m has my vote !! They will do good quality work !!!!

They did about $1,000 in repairs and upkeep on my vehicle which was needed. Work took 2 days and seems to have gone just fine but the interior of my car has SO much grease on it. The E-brake, door fabric, steering column, and plastic trim at bottom of door. For as much as I spent I shouldnt have to go back and clean the interior of my car like this.. unnaceptable.

I am a single woman that knows nothing about cars and K&M has always been fair and reasonable. I have gotten quotes from other shops when there is something to be done on my truck but K&M is always competitive if not a little less. I will continue to take my truck there for oil changes and repairs. Thank you Jerry and the gang for keeping my truck in good working order and not taking me to the cleaners.

Ive lived in Portland for five years and until now had never had an auto service provider to call home. I come from a small town, where you are loyal to one auto service shop for life. In return, the auto service shop is loyal and honest with you. This is exactly what K and M Auto Service provided my family. These guys are fabulous! I had an outrageous quote from Honest-1 Auto Care and came for a 2nd opinion. They called Chevy, found out my timing chain was still under warranty and saved me at least $1,000. When I became anxious that my tags would expire before my car was fixed, they fixed my car and then took it through DEQ and renewed my tags for me! Yes, fixed my car up at less cost than any other shop I looked at AND they did my car registration for me! They just added it to my bill with no extra fees for doing it! This is my shop for life! 🥰

They wanted over $400 labor for a job that is estimated 0.8 hours labor by auto industry standards for the specific vehicle I needed repaired. The part was also quoted at over $500, which I was able to get, retail - local for under $200. I understand shop rates, but that is roughly $480 / hour labor, and 300% part markup. No thanks.

I went in for an oil change and to have them check out my brakes, and anything else it needed. I was impressed. All I needed was an oil change. They said if they did anything else, it would be taking my money.The guys were friendly and honest and I will be taking my car there anytime it needs anything!!!Thanks Guys!!!

Any auto shop that is honest enough to tell me my car doesnt need any work deserves 5 stars. The dealership told me my rear brakes needed replacing, but in fact they have a lot of life left in them. Thanks K&M for saving me $. Ill be back when my car actually needs repairing!

Seems like these guys really know their cars, and they treat their customers really well. I will definitely be coming back. I took a used Honda CR-V in to them for a pre purchase inspection. They told me everything that will need to fixed/repaired soon, which really helped me to make a well informed decision.

I am writing a review even though I never actually had to take my car for service. They gave me advice over the phone and it ended up working! They are wonderful!!! So if I do ever have any car issue I am taking it in here because they are obviously hard working and honest mechanics. Hopefully its not too in the future...But everyone should go here!

I am a full time student and I can only get repairs for my vehicle with my school loans. I need my car for transportation to late classes for safety. This location does prompt and safe repairs and keeps the quoted price for me, even after 8months. Thank you for working with me on my budget and safety. Very fast and professional service.

Great service, knowledgeable staff, reasonably priced auto service

I have taken my Nissan and suburban for the past year and have never had a issue with them. They took care of my car faster and more efficiently any other mechanic I have used in the past. They are straight forward with all cost and work, I will be bringing my vehicles back to have them take car of all my car needs. Thanks guys.

They put 4 different starters in my car and then blew my engine and told me it would cost over 4k to fix. Needless to say i got my car out of there immediately. They also refused to refund me for the starter even though my car was drivable when i brought it to them and now it is no longer drivable. My engine only had 95k miles on it. I would never take another car here or to any k and m after this experience.Im going to update my review because the owner just replied. Apparently they misread my review. I only got charged for one starter because i had to bring the car back immediately after they put the first starter in. They then proceeded to keep my car for almost a week and called me to tell me that they kept putting new starters in it and it kept doing the same thing. So then on the phone call they said they were ordering a different brand of starter. Then the next day they called and said whoops we blew your engine. YOUR SHOP blew my engine. While you were fixing the starter for over a week. And they still charged me for the starter and tried to make me pay to have a completely rebuilt engine put in but instead i had my car towed out of the shop.

I saw in the reviews for this place that they were well reviewed for honesty. I cannot deny it. We thought the brakes might be getting old on our car, and when I brought it in, they not only didnt upsell us, they told us straight up what did and didnt need fixing. Saved us money and earned our loyalty going forward!

Scott and the guys at K&M are hands down the most professional and honest mechanics I have ever had the pleasure of utilizing. I have a 66 Ford Falcon that had serious problems requiring an engine rebuild, but they took care of me and it and they BACK THEIR WORK. Unfortunately, this is a rarity in their line, but in my experience they always go above and beyond what is even necessary. To top it all off, the whole crew is friendly and you can feel the great work atmosphere from the moment you step through their door. I own three old cars and am a shade-tree mechanic myself, so when I say that they know what they are doing, I feel confident of what Im saying. These guys will be doing all the work I cant do myself for years to come based on my past few visits. Finding a good mechanic is rare, like finding a life-partner who is also your best friend. Im now lucky enough to have found both. I cant recommend Scott and the other guys at the 122nd Ave. K&M highly enough.

This place is great the technicians are all very nice they dont try to over charge you or tell you that you need a bunch of work done on your vehicle they dont pressure you nothing they are fast efficient extremely helpful and friendly they told me when my car would be ready and it was they were extremely honest and im sending a couple of my friends to them I will continue buisness with them and put a good word out .thank you guys your the best and this is for fixing my brake lights on my 2002 honda sorry I was reading some of the reviews and im sorry but 75.00 to tell you what is wrong is good especially when these guys really do a complete look over they dont just stand there and say it could be this or this no they look until they find the problem none of us want to pay for auto repairs but paying someone you can trust and count on is not a problem they charged me 75.00 and my brake lights are fixed and no my car did not require any parts but I knew it was not gonna be free they checked my fuses bulbs brake switch and it was a wire problem but still another mechanic quoted me 325.00 trying to explain to me how he was gonna have to do this and do that little did he know I had done some research so I knew and these guys checked everything and in the correct order so all you people take your bad reviews and go on because im not a easy person to satisfy but I trust only them .you guys keep up the good work.

Went in because my car couldnt pass DEQ. They inspected it for free, repaired my car. Not only were they incredibly nice but they also put new windshield wipers on and put water repellent on for free. About a week later I received a personalized letter with a free car wash to Washman from them. This place is amazing and I refuse to go anywhere else.

I chose K and M Auto based on reviews ive read. A good mechanic is someone you hold on to when you find them so i thought id give these guys a try. I unintentionally found myself eaves dropping on conversations,out of boredom, while waiting for my car and was thoroughly impressed with the level of customer service i noticed. A mechanic is one of those things i choose based on my experience with them and my gut feeling, both of which are why i will be returning to K and M. These are some good dudes who i believe to be honest and fair. That was over 3 years ago, and Im still super impressed with how far these folks go to accommodate my vehicle needs...

They are the closest shop to my house - twice now, I have contacted them and found them combative and evasive on the phone (my only contact point with them). Back to supporting the dealership because this business cannot seem to show even the slightest quality in customer service over the telephone. Since I have been unable to actually use their service, I didnt feel a poor-fair rating would be warranted.

I once towed my vehicle 101 miles from Biggs junction to K&M on 122nd because I wanted folks I could trust working on my vehicle. Jerry and the gang are THE BEST around!

I took my 2009 Chevy Aveo to them based on a recommendation, I knew I needed a lower radiator hose replace and I even brought them the parts! They continued to charge me a $75 look over fee. Which I didn’t need! Than my radiator was fine when I took it into them, than I go to get my car back and they tell me my radiator is bad and I need a new one! I said how! They didn’t give me an answer just that it would be a little over a $1000!!! I was shocked. I mean I did just pay $160 for a hose.... so I asked what the break down was and they Kevin told me it was over $800 on the radiator alone. The radiator was only $110 online. I found Lentz Automotive off 104th and Holgate and they did it all for under $260 and the car is doing great! I also used the Napa Auto Repair Estimator and it lead me to them! Wish you all the luck. Please call around first and use the Napa thing so helpful, I found it after K&M.

I was referred to them from a friend who said they were the most reliable and honest shop he knows. I got my first opportunity to do business with them as my gfs driver side front brake caliper came off her car while she was driving. I had it towed to them using a tow company they recommended (have a close working relationship with) and was told I could put the tow bill on the repair bill for convenience. A day later I was able to pick the car up and was expecting a bill in the $350 - $500 range but was extremely surprised that it came in at $175 (towing included). All they had to do is replace the attaching bolt. They test drove and even checked the other side to make sure all was well. As far as Im concerned, they had a chance to take advantage of me by saying that the caliper was damaged and/or the rotor was damaged and/or the brakes were damaged and that they needed to be replaced. Being honest paid off to this customer as I will be taking all my automotive work back to them. The way my friend painted them represents and shows their true colors...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

My family, friends, and I always went to this place from minor car fix to major. I have had very bad experice with place because they dont know how to treat their customors. Plus recently I went in for a oil change & they totally forgot to put the filter back & my car broke down & on top of that they lied to my face & said I didnt do my oil change at their shop. I am never planing to go back to that place ever again.
