UPS on Forbes helped me out of a huge jam that FedEx got me into. You delivered important documents overnight when FedEx couldnt and you did it for a fraction of the cost. The people at Forbes were thoughtful and professional and now have a loyal customer in me.

September 1, 2021 I was told by the store employee that they could not ship something for me because I don’t have a mask. I am fully vaccinated and was unaware of this policy. I was quoted $800 to ship this item to Bulgaria. Wanted to ship it out tonight but instead I will ship from another store in the morning.What is the point of full vaccination when certain stores don’t recognize it? This is all such hypocritical idiocracy.

It’s surprising to find such poor service in a student area because hiring must be easy for them. Dropping packages is simple enough but their package scan time/drop off time is always recorded as 3-4 hrs later than what’s on the receipt. I think it’s a probably a sync problem with the system. But this is the only good serviceIf you need more service like help from someone at the counter, go to another location. People here just seem unwilling. I’m surprised. If you need shipping services, use the Oakland USPS.. the people there are absolutely fantastic

“Customer Service” Agent went out of his way to show how bored and uninterested he was in interacting with us. We chose this store because we needed a Notary. I asked about that and was told they weren’t on duty until 10:00 am. I said the website didn’t give that info. He “understood”. And walked away. Maddening experience.

Wanted to notarize some documents and therefore I called and asked if they would do it if I came to the store right away. The person on the phone responded they would. When I reach the store 15 mins later I am told the notary person is in a meeting and would not be able to notarize any documents for the next hour. Why bother to say you are available when you are clearly not!

Came to return amazon items, arrived one hour before closing, but when I came in to the store, the worker behind the desk yelled to me that he would not have time to do any more amazon items today and come back tomorrow. Came back the next day, waited in line for 20 minutes while the worked spent that whole time on the same customer, and seemed to be making many mistakes. Got tired of waiting so just left and changed my amazon return method to just package myself and drop off at drop box. Was surprised how hard it was to just return amazon items, the option to have it scanned at UPS Store seemed convenient and easy but ended up being two long and tedious trips with no success. Will not visit this store again.

Great service! A lot of these 1* reviews are from people with complaints about Corporate UPS, not the 3rd party The UPS Store shown here.A few of the other ones are just people who are whining with no real complaints. I have been coming to this store for several months now for various things, and I know the employees very well. These guys would not say or do any of the things the recent 1*s claim.That being said, make sure to wear a mask and sanitize your hands, as you should in any store! They do have hand sanitizer for any customer to use if needed

I was scammed by the two employees working there yesterday, June 3 at noon. Wanted to purchase a box for shipping and was charged $17.35. I repeatedly asked them why a box costs so much and whether the price includes any services. They lied to my face multiple times and told me thats just the price for the box. After I paid they said theyll take care of the packing and I just thought they were nice. A few minutes later I saw that the receipt had 3 separate charges and went back in for an explanation. Just the first one for 6.35 was for the box, the remaining charges were for tape (6.15) and packing services (4.00). I didnt not request either of those and they LIED to me multiple times when I asked why the price was 17.35 before the purchase. They even joked how they themselves couldnt believe how expensive it was and that its not their fault but that their boss sets the prices. I demanded a refund and they agreed after I threatened to file a complaint. Avoid this store at all cost.

Every other ups store can print your label by just scanning the code from your phone. Here he said he couldn’t do it and forced to use an old computer which is not safe to login with your email. Obviously I didn’t login. Go to the one in waterworks you’ll be 100% satisfied

I decided to go early for my fingerprint appointment. Well I found out that wasnt how it worked. So I sat there for about 45 minutes. Cara moved that line so quick. It was awesome. I also got to meet two of the friendliest employees. Chant and Larry made my wait easy and carefree.We had the best conversation all the while they moved about the store working. The conversation was so good I found myself getting mad when a customer came in.😅 They greeted everyone like they were old friends. Im not sure what their titles are. But they both deserve a raise and or promotion. This will be my UPS store from now on. And I will be telling family, friends, and my UPMC coworkers about them. Thanks again guys.

I had to go in for fingerprinting. Based on the reviews I was a little worried so I did 10:40 on a weekday when I expected it to be less busy. I was seen right at 10:40 and was out the door by 10:48. It couldn’t have been any easier.

Never thought I’ll be giving UPS 1 start! I wish there was option 0 starsI ordered perfumes, that have been discontinued and waited for almost 2 weeks for them to arrive. But the first time I got the sticker on the door “sorry, we missed you”SORRY, but you DIDN’T!!! I am working from home and I am being home 20 hrs a day, so there is no way you missed me, especially the day of a failed delivery. I went to the store to pick up my package, they couldn’t release without hard copy of id. Ok, that’s understandable. So I called customer service explaining the situation and asking to redeliver my package and told them, that if delivery driver has any issues he should give me a call (we left detailed instructions what to do). And next day I am getting the same sticker, saying that they missed me, but this time it said “we will try to redeliver the next business day”So next business day came, no package, no stickerThen another one, and another, and another...Until today I receive email from amazon telling me, that they are refunding me money, as they couldn’t deliver the package.F*** you UPS! I was trying to find that perfumes for months for my moms birthday and now they are nowhere to be found!

Larry and Chant are amazing. Also crazy how much work they do.Over the past two days theyve helped me get my fingerprints taken. Joel, why did it take you two days?, you might be asking. Well, Ill tell you. The state in which Im moving too has a lot of incorrect or confusing information on their website.Larry and Chant went above and beyond was is/was required of them and even spoke to the licensing agency to help me explain what was wrong/confusing about the situation.Lastly, the entire time this took place, they both somehow managed to run the entire store, like a full line, the entire time.These guys deserve all the raises, if I could poach them to work in my office I would.

Easily the worst automated phone tree ever. You cant pick up packages at the store same day as a delivery attempt. You cant even get redelivery attempts like FedEx. Dont shop UPS in Pittsburgh.

Went there for fingerprinting. The young lady that did the fingerprinting was very pleasant and nice despite faulty machinery. However, I give this place 3 stars because whenever I go to this place, there is a guy there who is always rude. His tone is permanently rude. He acts like he hates his life and his job. He must also be a joy to work with. I think he might want to find another place to work or a new attitude.

When I came into the store I had to stand and wait all the employees seem to be busy doing other work one employee kept walking past me as in he was pressing other requirements. So I asked if he could help me and aggressively he ask what I needed help with.I was very appalled so I looked at his name tag. However I remembered his face and his name tag said “Larry”. The tone in his voice kind of startled me!!!!Unfortunately this is not the first time I seen him take part in such act towards women customers . Prior to this experience I have dealt with him at another location in Oakland ...I believe!! He is also very demanding and it shocked me to see him again! I was surprised the ups store would hire him and I’m not surprised he’s no longer at the other location. He wouldn’t even give me my options for ground shipping he demanded that I get air he was so aggressive i was mentally scared I just let it go ! If I ever return I will definitely ask to be waited on by another employee!

One, Im pretty sure half of the 5 star ratings are for a clerk named India, who Im pretty sure doesnt work here.Im guessing she told her friends to mention her for a raise or something, but she definitely doesnt work here anymore, at least Ive never seen her.Two, the staff was rude and unhelpful, wouldnt let me ship a small item in a big box for no reason and would not give me an answer besides she wouldnt do it. I understand theyre understaffed, but its a dysfunctional place. If there was any way possible to never go here again I would be quite happy. Made me walk all the way home to get a smaller package. They also said theyd charge me $5 for taping my box. Ive been to plenty of UPS stores and most of them are really nice. Just not this place.

I swung by this store today to get a bill of sale notarized. I explained what the document was and was very unprofessionally cut off mid-sentence and told by the employee working that she was not going to sign that. When I asked for further clarification as to why, she had an attitude with me and said she can choose to not sign anything she wants. I understand notaries have the right to sign or not sign anything they want, but it is never appropriate to treat a customer in such a manner as I was treated. Also, the UPS store site states that the notary can notarize contracts, which a bill of sale is, so I dont understand why that service wasnt offered.

I went to the store to get my documents notarized. The lady who does notary said that she was uncomfortable doing it. When I asked her why, she said even though the picture in the document is mine, she cannot say it is my picture, as she is not authorized to it. This is my fourth time getting my documents notarized, as I do this annually to renew my license. I had this done at the same store last year. It’s sad that I made her uncomfortable to do this.. There are no other notary services close by and I had to take a cab again to get it done at a different place. We even asked her if we can show her any other documents so that she can feel comfortable.. And the answer was to get this done at a different place

I went to this location with my daughter today for fingerprinting services. The store had a steady stream of customers for shipping and notary services. The clerk who worked the counter was the most professional young woman I have seen in a long time. She was efficient in processing packages, patiently explained things to customers who had difficulty with language differences, was friendly to everyone she dealt with, and when a customer became upset that her transaction could not be completed for legal reasons, the clerk remained calm and did not react to the abusive language she was subject to. I was so impressed by her professionalism that I asked her name. She said her name is India. Great job India! The world needs more people like you!

I was charged more than $5 for tape packing! It was totally ridiculous! The tape I used probably was less than 2 ft., and I was not given the rest of tape. Also, actually I brought my own tape! This is the worst experience ever. At this UPS Store, youd better be VERY CAUTIOUS for every single charge! Definitely the worst one! I gave them one star all because there is no negative ones available!

I went to this store to have a copy of my drivers license notarized. After looking at my document for a couple of seconds, the employee told me she would not notarize it. When I asked her why, all she would say was that it made her uncomfortable. She would not say why she was uncomfortable; there were no other notaries in the store to give a second opinion, and she refused even when I offered to show her my drivers license.She then told me to go to another notary, saying that there were around 30 stores in the immediate area. Unfortunately, they are the only notary in Oakland and one of around 5-10 publicly listed notaries in the city of Pittsburgh. My advice would be to avoid this place at all costs.

We shipped a return package from this unit. The package (this part not the fault of this location) took over a week to be delivered because it was destroyed by ups and driven on and left under a machine. So I am not able to return an item. My partner calls UPS for a damage claim. Turns out you need to do these through the store you shipped from.We shipped this package in the beginning of October and it is now January. We call weekly but this unit cant do anything but promise future payment of the damage and UPS wont help because this unit needs to do it. Not fair to the unit as New Stanton is where it was wrecked butLong story short this is a franchise unit and so UPS treats your packages differently. Do not ship valuable packages here there is not a reliable insurance policy. I did give 2 stars because they return calls when we follow up on our claim.Aside from that it can be difficult to like the girl who works the desk.

Worst service. They don’t even tell you the options or explain you clearly. I can’t give less than 1. Sorry, I don’t recommend this.Hesitates to say answer to the questions you ask. Very much disappointment.Also, I sent a laptop with my package and somehow they missed sending it even though I gave every minute detail they needed. When I called them and asked them, they said it’s with them in the store and not sure whose laptop it is. This is so bad.Everybody, please make sure they set everything and has labels on it.

You will have more time and money if you drive to the South Side, pay for parking, and using that UPS store instead of this one. This place is SLOW, the line is typically out the door. This place should be managed better and have more employees to handle the typical store traffic.

Got 3 fingerprint cards done here and they were all rejected. Whole thing cost me over $200 including shipping. Now I have to go somewhere else and pay extra to expedite the process. Wouldn’t recommend getting your fingerprint cards done here.

I was treated extremely rude and inconsiderate by the staff. Then I waited over an hour for the service I needed (they said it could be an hour wait upfront I didn’t mind waiting) only then to be told after that hour that they couldn’t fit me in that day (It was 12:50 and they were open until 4). Meanwhile the employee who said they wouldn’t have time for me had no problem chatting for 5+ minutes with every other person who they helped. Even the people who didn’t bring the right documentation to the store - they still had time to BS with them instead of help their waiting customers. I would not recommend this store to anyone unless you wish to be treated like dirt and see the employees flat out try to not help you. Even when you sit and wait politely in the waiting room. There are tons of UPS stores in the area. Do yourself and favor and go to a different one.

I am extremely disappointed and upset about my visit at the ups store on Forbes. The tall gentleman he said his name was chat gave me the most horrible experience I have had in a long time. When he gave me a hard time I asked to speak to the manager and He said he was the store manager. So now I am reaching out to give a review on your STORE MANAGER he is horrible and rushed me. I am a elderly woman and can not move as fast. I am highly disappointed anytime I go to this store in the mornings the gentleman and young lady that works the front are so wonderful! BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION or any location like this that scans and photographs your debit card or credit card without permission. With a picture of the front and back of your debit card or credit card it can be used for any purchases online. Happened to me today, after the lady had swiped my debit card in a normal card reader like you see at many places, she then took my card in her right hand as I was signing for payment and put my debit card in the scanner taking a pic of the front and back of my card. I then asked he . Did you just take a picture of my debit card, she responded very uncomfortably, no. I then asked her why she swiped my card on the payment reader as then put it in the scanner. She did it real sly also. As I looked down to sign for my purchase she had my card in her right hand, put it in scanner and pushed the button, as I finished signing I watched the scanner she put it in light up. Its when I asked her if she just took a pic of my card and she gave the uncomfortable reply of no.No one should EVER take a photo of the front and back of your debit or credit card. Its actually identity theft. Now that she has the info off the front and back of my card it can be used to make any purchases online. I called corporate immediately and a supervisor told me its not something she should have done and not typical of Identigo s practices.The scariest part is she LIED to me about when asked her if she just took a pic of the front and back of my card. After speaking to corporate I called down there and asked a man what her name was, his attitude was nothing short of nasty. He said, you can call corporate all you want, there not going to do nothing about it. Well If they dont I am going too!This is typical identity theft, my card can be used now by anyone in that store as a pic of the front and back of my card is saved on their computer...Her lying to me straight faced when I asked her if she took a pic(scan) of my card was immediately a red flag.This is how identity theft occurs. Her swiping my card on the small black card reader attached to the signature pad was all she should have done, NOT SCAN a pic of the front and back of my card!!!This is not typical behavior nor is it legal as I did not give her permission to take a photograph of the front and back of my debit card!!!BEWARE OF THIS PLACE OR ANY PLACE THAT DOES THIS!!!Calling my bank now to cancel my card and will be looking into everything I can do to insure this is exposed...Im glad I recorded the entire incident, I did it for a video memory of my daughter getting finger prints done for a job, we where laughing about it and decided to capture the moment, well happened we captured more than just that...She could have easily handed it back after swiping it on the card reader, glad I recorded the whole thing...Ill be posting a link to the entire video exp, currently uploaded waiting approval, see for yourself and tell me what you think she is doing with my debit card!!! My bank advised me that this is not normal, they are also going to investigate and they immediately canceled my card, sending out a new card...Most ppl dont realize what can happen, they do not pay attention or think its normal...ITS NOTWill be posting updates as I here from corporate and my bank...

I went to this UPS store to get my fingerprints done today. When my name was called I asked the person doing the fingerprints to please wipe the machine down with rubbing alcohol due to it being cold and flu season. She said there was cleaner on the cloth she used to wipe it down. I never saw cleaner being used and the cloth was dry and was not new so it had been used to wipe the machine down before. This is unacceptable for something that has lots of people touching every day. Even if she did use cleaner it would have made me more comfortable to see the cleaner used. Even after I specifically asked (which I shouldnt have to) my request was still not taken seriously. I have had my fingerprints done several times for my job and they always wipe it down with a cleaner in front of you. I am extremely disappointed that cleanliness isnt a priority here.

The staff was late opening the store. Once in the store we were told to wait 5 more minutes on top of being late. To top it all I had to wait and additional 20 minutes for the guy doing the finger prints to finally show up to work. There is a long line of people trying get things done but no one shows up to work on time to give service. If you cant show up to a job that starts at 10am I see it to as a problem.

Awesome experience at the notary service here. Huge thanks to India and Cash for being amazing and going all-out to help me :) Not only did they squeeze me in for an appointment last-minute, but when I accidentally brought in documents I’d already signed, India also figured out a work-around. As luck would have it, the printer jammed while we were trying to print out an original copy, but even then India didn’t run out of ideas. Using some paper and tape, as well as a functional paper-copier, she was able to get my signature off the paper so we could both sign it there (per notary protocol). Luckily with Cash’s help, the printer managed to pull through in the end and my original document was printed. Long story short, after a few misadventures I got my notary done within a few minutes. It wouldn’t have been possible without India and Cash - they could have easily turned me away and told me to come back on Monday, but instead they helped devise some very creative solutions to my notary problem. Thank you again for helping me out! :)

I arranged to have package delivered there because driver didn’t deliver to my house(still no clue why this was a problem- no signature needed). Anyhow, this was on Friday December 21st. I paid $8.00 for this arrangement. All day Saturday the website said that my item was not at “Access point” - 6 miles away. Now Sunday they’re closed and tracking states they’ll redeliver. On Monday December 24th.So, I paid an $8.00 fee to have my package NOT to be where I could pick it up.And it’s going redelivered when the person who’s gift it’s going to will be home.I want a refund and reason the item wasn’t delivered on Friday as your tracking information said..........

Im reviewing my customer service experience with registering and retitling my car here.They recommend that you schedule an appointment as they need to ensure that someone who is trained on vehicle registration is there. I scheduled an appointment via phone, they ensured I had all the necessary documents and were very courteous. They even followed up with a reminder the morning of to ensure I would be at the appointment. It was the middle of the month and I had an appointment so they started processing right away and it took approximately 20-25 minutes. My complaint is that the processing fee is $144 dollars (plus the penn dot fees of $86) but they cant change that. My wife registered her car at a triple AAA for $45-$50 less (I wasnt aware of the difference at the time). Convenience fee, ok, but $50!!! I made a bad assumption that they were similar, but as a warning, wherever u decide to register your vehicle please call ahead and ask for a price because they vary greatly. The customer service was great but their fee structure was ridiculous compared to other available options.

I dropped off a DHL package in this store on Feb 13, and today I went online trying to track my package, it only shows shipment information received, and that is it, no more other shipping information. I called the store and try to let them track the package for me, and male employee just wanted me to call back tomorrow to speak to the manager and wouldnt even bother put my tracking number in their system to try to find out what is wrong. When I insisted wanting him to track my package, he just hanged up the phone very rudely. Horrible experience at this store, not only they got my package, not giving it out to DHL, and dont know where the package is right now, but also hanged up on me when I really need their help. By the way, it was a returned package and the stuff in the box worth $848.

Lol @ people complaining about having to pay for everything. Its obvious this store is right on Pitts campus and the kids are used to their parents taking care of their expenses.This store is excellent, with great customer service.

I was charged $8.00 more than a quote from UPS online. The employees here will tell you they need to round up the dimensions of your box to the next inch, for even a 1/16 inch overage. They also added a declared value to my shipment that I didnt request, charging me for that, too. I called UPS corporate and was told that neither its an accepted practice of the company. BEWARE deceptive practices at this location, probably overcharging everyone.

Made an appointment a few days ago to get a mailbox here. Apparently if you have an appointment, youll get passed up for walk-ins time and time again. The website stresses scheduling a time to set a mailbox up. Very disappointed in this store, wont be returning.
