I was recommended to go there after having my 2013 Nissan Sentra checked for multiple other issues at Grease Monkey and by my brother who was a mechanic when they all believed the transmission was slipping. Sure enough it was when I went to get it checked by Ray for free. It was pretty well-priced considering that we had to replace the whole transmission and Ray and the crew was very efficient. I brought in the car on Monday morning and they had it done by Tuesday at 3. Now, my car is not causing me any issues. Overall, great place and wonderful people.

Ray and his technicians are outstanding, quality of work is undeniably on point. They have replaced my transmission and torque converter for 07 Hummer h2 with better than factory installation. Also have serviced my Cadillac CTS transmission with a flush and filter again with professional ease. Drained some trans fluid accidentally and again Ray and his techs refilled for no charge. Very professional, experienced , and genuinely nice individuals . I recommend this place 10/10 they’ll always have my business.

He comes back and tells me it’s fixable, charges me $2300 and within the same day of me picking it up iM having the same issue! I bring my car back within a few days (fixed 5/21 took back 5/27) they tell me I need a new transmission! this company needs to be held accountable for lying to customers! Had one of our trucks transmission go down. We had Pro-Tech tow the truck to their shop for free. When they said the transmission would be repaired in a couple days they werent kidding. I bought a Jeep from a private owner for my birthday back in August. The Jeep was advertised with NO LEAK . Unfortunately, I discovered some leak the first week. Devastated, I called the seller and they told me to call Pro Tech transmission as it was serviced there In April. I called and spoke with Ray (didn’t know he was the owner then) and explained what happened and he said to bring it right away. When I got there he immediately checked the jeep and proceeded to explain to me what happened and fixed it that same day. He even honored the warranty from the previous owner. I was elated. I was very impressed with the attentiveness and excellent customer service they provided. I really felt like Ray and his wife Took pride of ensuring that their customers are well taken care of. My 2005 Toyota Tundra was having some issues and after diagnostics it was my transmission that needed to be replaced. I actually had to have a tow to Pro-Techs shop which they included for free in their service. After having my transmission replaced my Tundra runs like a champ, better than it has in years. They did a great job on my transmission dont get me wrong but when they Gave me my truck back it was leaking fluid it was not leaking when I Took the vehicle to them.. I went back for my 10 day check up and told them about the problem.. He said that sometimes happens when you separate the transmission from the Transfer case.. I was told they would Replace all gaskets and seals. This is AC over is between transfer case in the transmission and is quite important apparently ..why they would not handle that while they had it in the air I dont know .. Well to make a long story longer he said he would fix it for $350 As you can imagine I lost it at that point and had to leave

I took my vehicle to Pro-Tech as I knew something was up with my Chevy but couldnt figure it out myself. After some diagnostics, come to find out the transmission was needing some repair work. Fortunately the transmission wasnt in such bad shape that I needed a new one, but it was definitely time for repairs or I would need a new one sooner rather than later. So like I said above, I had heard good things about Pro-Tech and the warranty they offer, I took the Chevy there, had them do the work, and I couldnt be happier. Professional, got the work done in a timely manner, and the results were excellent. Highly recommend Pro-Tech Transmissions.

I have taken my square box Chevy here many times, for transmission and transfer case work. What I love most about Pro-Tech is I always feel as though I am treated honestly and fairly. I came here to get my transmission checked. Ray the owner seemed like a nice guy and I thought he was an honest mechanic. As we sat in my vehicle and shifted the gear he said it is your motor mounts and explained why. He took advantage of me being a single mother I had my children with me Ray told me my transmission was fine that my motor mounts were bad charged me 1600 to replace 3 mounts. Its been 3 weeks and come back and let him know the same issue is occurring and shifted the gears showing him exactly what he initially showed me. He is now telling me it is my transmission which is different from what he initially told me 3 weeks ago. He brushed me off to one of his employees saying, tell her it is her transmission and walked away. I wouldnt refer this place to my worst enemy. Im in debt and still need a new transmission.

I called dude asking to get my car repaired & told him i could wait for AAA to tow my car in 48 hr or less but he insisted & offered to pick up my car that day,they picked up my car Tuesday didnt check it out till Thursday after i called multiple times then tried to charge me 2400+ to fix my differential on a 26yr old vehicle i told them thats too much & Id like my car & the guy said i have to pay 100 dollars to get my car back, HE LITTERALLY DID NOT DISCLOSE THAT TO ME, THEY TRICKED ME INTO TOWING MY CAR SO THEY COULD CHARGE ME LATER WHEN THEYRE THE ONES THAT OFFERED TO GET MY CAR! IM ONLY 3 MILES AWAY & im not the argumentative type so i reminded him of our conversation & still proceeded to try to charge me & tell me when they dont do repairs they charge to tow, YOU CANT DISCLOSE THAT INFORMATION AFTER YOUVE ALREADY TAKEN SOMEONES VEHICLE! he lowered the price to $60 to get my car back which im sure is UNETHICAL & ILLEGAL you basically took my car held it for 6 days but i paid it cause i wanted my car now my transmission still messed up & i lost $60 for no reason other than you guys get charged by Google everytime you get a call from online so youre conning people to get their car towed & charging them money when they cant pay your ridiculous pricing for transmission repairs Im definitely reporting yall taking advantage of peoples money & im contacting local news to start a investigation on your business practices & taking advantage of minorities & those less fortunate during a Pandemic

Awesome same day service, went in for 100,000 mile transmission check because something was wrong. They gave me an honest assessment, a couple options, and I opted for rebuild -- and the 3 year warranty gives me less to worry about.

Great service and price, owner was amazing. I called at,11 am and they took in my 2006 Tahoe in by 12 and out by 530pm. They stayed after hours to finish rebuilding my transmission, they even drove me home 35 min away from shop while they worked on my car. I paid $1,800 for a rebuild and some hardware. AAMCO was going to charger double and taken more than 1 day. Customer for life even though its a drive.

I got my transmission done there and they were very efficient. NOT ALL TALK! They did what they said they would and did it right. No games no gimmicks. They towed it, they fixed, and they did great. Zero Drama, No stress. Just straight shooters. Well worth the price.

Beware!!!! Ripp off professionals!!! They came , towed my van from apache junction to west phx. Then quoted estimate over phone at 1650. I then called next morning to tell them I was going to tow my van back hm. When he said he already did the work, and wanted 2500, i said I did not authorize. And wanted my van , he wanted to charge for labor and tow to get my van. I went to pick up with AAAs towing , and he kept my transmission and wiring harness!!! So Im contacting B.B.B. and reporting him as every one else on here who got scammed SHOULD. Im a Vietnam vet, at 70yrs old living on SSI. Barely getting by ! Just want to start by saying I hardly ever write a review. It either has to be because Ive had a really bad experience or a really good one.With Ray and his guys, its always a really good one. I give him a call, bring my truck in and theyre able to diagnose the issue pretty quickly and efficiently. I have had my truck taken in for a couple major fixes and a few minor ones and they have always provided quality and fair prices for their work and they dont try to bs you like a lot of other mechanic shops.. Theyre straight to the point and even go over with you whats wrong with what needs to be fixed, in detail and exactly how urgent it is. These are my go to guys! I cant tell you how appreciative I am of Ray and his team for keeping my truck going!

My 2009 BMW needed its differential bushings replaced. Unfortunately, not everyone could do the job because 1) not every shop knows how to work with differentials; it requires a specialty shop 2) Its a BMW and not every shop has the tools required. After calling a few shops, even my the BMW shop I usually go to, I came across these guys; they said it was no problem; just drop the car. Sure enough, they did the job fairly quickly and professionally. Overall, I would recommend them for any drive-train issues you may have, regardless of the make; the seem to know what theyre doing.

ProTech got my attention after talking to illusionists. He also offers lots of good helps for when the catastrophe of transmission failure unexpectedly happens. After I placed my vehicle there, his story changed! Suddenly he denied his prior statements; which I pressed him to b clear on when he made them. He is Insisting miscommunication. He changed the price!!! He plays with semantics n a threatening way. All the helpful information are baited hooks.

I just moved here to Phoenix and my clutch went out on Christmas day. I called many mechanics but their prices were way out of my budget but Pro-tech Transmissions in Phoenix, not only replaced my clutch for the cheapest price around, they saved me a lot of money and helped me get back on the road with interest fee financing. They went far and beyond to earn my future trust... this transmission service is honest and very reliable. I highly recommend them to anyone on a budget.

Called at 10pm to leave message, got a call back in 5mins! 2014 Ford e350, my shuttle van lost 3rd and overdrive. Next day dropped off, done in 1-1/2 days! Unbeatable price and warranty. With me being new to AZ, this shop is 1 need I can now scratch off my list!

Told me that it was not the problem motor mounts was bad

After being told by another mechanic that we needed expensive work done on our SUV and a new alternator, we took it to Ray at Pro-Tech and he was very honest with us. He explained the alternator was fine and the only thing necessary was a small electronic part. He was very up front and honest and saved us almost $800 in work that was not necessary. Thank goodness for honest people!!!

Their transmission work is less than average, and then do not honor their Best in Arizona warranty.UPDATE (per their BOGUS reply): 1) We NEVER agreed to a 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty! A reduced warranty was NEVER discussed. This was ONLY ever mentioned when I brought the truck back in for them to honor the warranty. (Nice trick having your work authorization double as the invoice. Hence the Bait & Switch)2) ADDITIONALLY: after having to take the truck to another shop since this disreputable establishment (ProTech) would not honor their warranty, the well renowned Transmission shop I took it to took it apart, and found: THIS TRANSMISSION FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY AN ASSEMBLY (BUILDER) ERROR. THE … SNAP RING WAS NOT PROPERLY SEATED IN ITS RING GROOVE IN THE CASE, CAUSING THE RETAINER TO MOVE OUT OF POSITION AND DESTROY MANY PARTS (SEE BOX OF FAILED PARTS)”.It was explained to me that the Snap Ring not being installed correctly acted like a grenade inside the transmission, slowly destroying many other parts in the transmission from within.So Builder Error was the cause, and Pro Tech had the opportunity to fix it. (However they likely never would have admitted the error on their part).Had Pro Tech simply honored the warranty, I would have stuck with them. But after their terrible treatment, and refusal to honor the WELL advertised warranty, I was forced to find an alternate repair shop.AVOID THIS SHOP at all cost. Not worth the grief. You will regret it.

I called Ray after reading these glowing reviews and was given a solid price of $2400 with a 3 year warranty. I had a male friend call the following day who was given the same price. After I had the car towed, someone named Riaz called to let me know the price could increase if the TCM needed replacing. If transmissions are their specialty, why wasnt I informed of this possible increase in advance? They didnt know they couldnt check the TCM until the transmission was fully removed until the car was at the shop, but they were happy to finance the additional $600 for me. I declined. Shortly after I receive a call from a female who offered to fix the TCM for free if it needed it, but the warranty would only be for 1 year. I sent the tow truck to retrieve my car, and this same female calls me back to see if I owe them money for a tow before they release my car. Hmmm. Im grateful that Progressive insurance adds roadside assistance at an affordable cost or else I may have been stuck with pro-techs old get a female in here and tack on some more charges that we as professionals didnt know to tell you about up front

One of the 1st things the owner asked after getting towed was if I needed a ride. Free towing is provided if you get work done there but I didnt need that from them. Had the transmission apart in 15 minutes and the clutch assembly in 15 more minutes. Majority of the time my car was in the shop was waiting on parts. New parts and entire clutch system and transmission was put back on in an hour or two and some of that time the techs were working on other cars. Overall the price was reasonable w/fast service.

My transmission went out two weeks ago, Pro-Tech Transmission came to my home, towed my car to their shop, diagnosed my transmission and fixed it and a warranty that most shops will not give. I picked up my car and it was like driving it off the showroom floor. I am very happy and would recommend Pro-Tech with grade A+ performance with their work and their total professional attitude and helpfulness. Dont go anyplace else for your transmission and service.

BEWAREThey do not call you back with updates or let you know when your car is done. Had to take the car back 3 times for oil leaks, twice for shifting problems, and they refused to fix it under the warranty. They promise 3 year warranty but in reality you have to pay extra for warranty. The car made it 10 miles down the road after the repair before it left me stranded. They performed repairs without notice or authorization and try to charge you for stuff I didnt want installed on my vehicle. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Great experience for a situatuon that wasnt great. CVT transmission went out on GFs car and needed to get repaired asap. Unfortunately I work crazy hours but thanks top Rays flexibility and great communication I was able to drop it off after hours, get it inspected, quoted and repaired all within the week and he even stayedlate on Saturday for me to pay for the repairs and grab the keys in between my service calls. Thank you guys so much for everything!

My car broke down and the AAA tow truck driver recommended bringing the car here. I am so thankful he did. Ray was so nice and got me back on the road in a couple of days. My F250 super duty crew cab was slipping in overdrive a co-worker recommended Protech Transmissions, after calling a few other shops I compared price given for rebuilt of transmission to similar shops and their price was fairly lower. The gentleman was very up fort, friendly, knowledgeable and service was great. Rebuilt of transmission was in 3 days and my F250 is running great. I highly recommend Protech Transmissions.
