Ive taken my vehicles to Tonys for nearly 20 years. Theyve always been very accommodating to my schedule and requests. Theyll suggest and explain their recommendations without any pressure. The shuttle service is so helpful. I can easily schedule appointments online and I love that they communicate by text. Scott and Mike have always responded promptly. We have been using Tonys for over 20 years and they always give good and prompt service with a smile. While they may not always be the least expensive, but they more than make up for it with their honesty and quality of service. That combination is a much better value than going to a cheap quick service place that will find additional services that you may not need. I have been swindled at other places in the past, but I have not had to worry about that since switching to Tonys.

I ended up at Tonys after another mechanic (will stay anomymous) recommended I take my vehicle to the dealer because it was relayed to me only the dealer can fix this mechanical issue. Tony and friends were able to identify and fix the issues almost immediately. Im so thankful! I also like the idea of supporting a family-owned business.

Ive gone to Tonys for 8-10 years now and love them. Theyre honest, straightforward, dont pressure you and are very professional. They really have a well oiled machine going there.Ive taken multiple cars here for simple oil changes, checking out the overall system before buying a used car, brakes, etc. They call with anything they find and then I tell them what to fix and not fix after they give me the cost/reasoning. Ive never felt pressured to fix what they recommend and they even help me talk through it if I really need to fix something at that time.I appreciate having a car repair shop I know I can trust. Tonys exceeded my expectations! I was going to take my Hyundai Tucson into the dealership when the AC suddenly stopped cooling but, primarily because Tonys is just down the street from my home, I decided to use Tonys based on a good friends recommendation. While the ultimate bill was much higher than I would have liked because of additional service items that were the result of 15 months of COVID neglect, I ran the numbers past my son-in-law who has an excellent knowledge about parts and labor pricing, and he said Tonys quote was very reasonable. I called at the last minute for the service (hey, its 116 in Phoenix!). They said I could bring it in and leave it overnight. I explained I needed the car for a doctors appt the next day at 2:00 pm. They not only had the car ready -- with the various new repairs I had added at the last minute - but it was ready way in advance of the deadline. I appreciated their understanding, professionalism and yes, I now have fantastic AC! Thank you guys!

I have used Tonys Auto for various repairs on two different vehicles I own, and my family has done the same; never a single bad experience. Always professional, willing to answer any questions I have, and most importantly, they do fantastic work. It may be a bit more expensive than your average auto shop, but its worth every penny. Highly recommended.

I went to Lincoln Camelback and they robbed me. I was ready to sell my car, I was at my whits end. I went to Tonys as my last effort to try and salvage my car, I was so fed up.The effort that Scott and Mike put into my vehicle was world class, I cannot say enough good things about them. They put in the time and effort to fix my cars very unique and specific issue, then they surprised me with even having brought it in to pass the emissions test. Scott provided a thorough service for my Prius from beginning to end, starting with a comprehensive discussion, analysis and diagnosis of the problem with my low oil pressure on the phone. Check engine light came on. They could have told me ANYTHING..! What did they tell me.? I forgot to screw the gas cap on fully and it triggered a sensor. The put cap on ...called me...had me embarrassed and didn’t charge me a dime!

There are plenty of perks to being a girl, but taking your car in for servicing is not one of them. Ive had so many negative experiences at auto shops that have over charged me or scared me into buying something I didnt need, but my experience at Tonys was exactly the opposite. After being told by a different shop that my car had a leak, I took it to Tonys hoping to get a better idea about what was going on. Turns out it wasnt a leak at all, but battery acid had seeped all over! Scott and Mike explained everything to me and were fair, honest, and upfront about what needed to be done. For the first time in my life I didnt feel like I needed to call my dad or a mechanic friend for a second opinion. I trusted them fully and they got the job done at a fair price. I will definitely be using them for all my service needs in the future, and you should, too!

I brought my car to Tony’s where my mother takes hers.They did some diagnostic test and asked me if I was having a problem with an issue and I said yes. They explained everything that needed to be fixed so that I almost understood. LolTurns out that I had not brought my car in for any servicing except oil changes since I boughtit. My first experience was when my tail light went out on my way to work. I pulled in to Tony’s. I had never been there before. They welcomed me, took a look at it, said they could fix it, took me to work and it was ready be the end of the day at a reasonable price. Now I am officially a customer and just returned for my oil service.

I HAVE USED TONYS FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS. THEY LISTEN TO WHAT YOU ARE SAYING AND FIND AND FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. I WOULD RECOMMEND TONYS FOR REPAIR OF YOUR CAR.

They discriminate. Shady mechanics try to sell you extra items that are “wrong” with your car to try to finesse good people in Scottsdale. thankfully I knew better.

Tonys auto is the mechanic shop everybody wants. They are good at what they from diagnosing issues, to fixing them the first time, and they do it with a smile. Whether you have a beater that just wont die (and looks like it) or your familly car that needs to run day in and day out, you wont feel judged (like at the dealership) and they will explain the issue at your level and how critical it is to address it in order to best suit your needs. You can be confident in this shop. When they diagnose the issue and I do the work myself, it is fixed. When I have them do the work, it is fixed. They keep our cars going at peak performance and that is all I can ask for.

Only giving this place one star so I could give you all the review.If you’re looking for that bad review to sway your opinion away from coming here this is it.Long story short. They will dramatically over price you on nearly every aspect of their “service”. Took my car in just a few months ago and they found a loose valve. $800. Loose valve. 600 dollar labor costs.Car this week was smoking from the engine and not running right with a service engine light newly lit. $200 dollars for the inspection. Just the inspection. I decided not to have anything done and will never take my car back after they states a 2.5K fix for a coolant leak.I advise going elsewhere.

I’m always leery of getting taken advantage of when getting my car fixed. But I never feel on edge or forced to get work done that isnot needed at Tony’s. The staff is legit, has trustworthy vibes and works efficiently. They get all our business. 👍🏼

For over 10 years Tonys has made repairs to our autos. Never has there been any question as to their professional approach, mechanical expertise or honesty. Quick story. I had them install a new console lid and they discovered a $20 bill I keep under a rubber flap. I use the money in emergencies. I had forgotten about it. It could easily been kept...but wasnt. A testament to their honesty.

Ive been a loyal customer with Tonys Auto Service for approximately six plus years. I have had great service when it comes to oil changes, minor and major maintenance. Both Catherine and Scott and the Team are very up front with their estimates and pretty much in line with what it cost to repair customers vehicles. They make recommendations to you and show you what you should consider having repaired in the future. They have transportation to get you home if you have to leave your car/truck for extend period of time, and will pick you up once your vehicle is repaired. Their maintenance technicians are very knowledgeable and on average have 25 years experience. I will continue to use them for my servicing of my vehicle. Great friendly staff. Honest and straight forward. Got everything done in the amount of time they predicted. This is my second time having work completed here on my 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser. I noticed my back tire was really low, swung into this dinky auto shop on the corner and asked if I could air up. Dude was working on a car but told me to pull in so I did. He not only air up my tire for me but he checked all the others and then got down on all fours and pokes his head around underneath to try to locate the leak, which he did. He told me it would get me where Im going but probably needed replaced and that it might be cheaper to have it done where I got them. He was knowledgeable, honest, and so courteous and just willing and glad to help. So glad I happened upon them!

Good guys who got the job done in a timely manner

Ive taken two different cars to Tonys for servicing and have always found the staff to be very pleasant and courteous. Ive also always had the impression the shop charges a lot for its work, but it was merely an impression. Yesterday, however, I had what seemed to be a small example of possibly high pricing. I had my car inspected and one of the recommendations was to replace the cabin filter. The estimated cost to do that was just under $80. I decided to find out whats involved in replacing a cabin filter on my car and looked online at how-to videos and prices for a new replacement filter. I called another AAA garage and two dealers to get quotes for the sake of comparison. I discovered that a new filter runs around $20 online, a little more at automotive shops in town and quite a bit less at some online parts sellers. Online videos and even dealers make it clear that the replacing itself is very simple (disengaging the glove box door, pulling out the filter housing, and inserting the new filter) and takes about five minutes. In checking with two dealers in town, I was told that one would do it for $70, as part of a current sale, another for $63; the other AAA garage would charge close to $70, I was told. Obviously Tonys presented the highest cost for this quick and simple job. My impression now is that probably all or most garages are charging a lot for their work but Tonys even more, which doesnt square, in my mind, with all the claims on their Web site and their high AAA rating. I had a similar experience with Tonys last August, too involved to describe here, but I have my doubts now about this business and will likely try elsewhere in the future. Ive learned that it is definitely worthwhile for customers to ask questions and seek more information online and at other garages before handing over a lot of money that could perhaps be saved.

It goes without saying that auto repair shops have received a bad reputation based upon shady mechanics that give inflated and/or fake diagnosis. They basically prey on the customer due to the customers a lack of and/or limited mechanical knowledge. NOT SO at Tony’s!! I did some real due diligence before I brought my vehicle to Scott and when I met him it was a wrap because I felt I was in good hands AND I WAS. Scott is a straight shooter. You will get the truth weather good or bad. The good folks at Tony’s are more interested in growing customers because they realize that when the customer base grows the dollars grow. Tony’s is def my go to auto and Scott is my go to guy when I have auto issues or questions. THANKS TO THE GOOD GUYS AT TONY’S AND THEIR LEADER SCOTT! !

The team at Tonys understands exactly what Im after when it comes to car repair. They are extremely thorough in their diagnostics, inform me of absolutely everything that could be done, and then are not AT ALL pushy about what to do next. I really appreciate this, because there are just some things I dont need to fix (like license plate lights), but then there are things I absolutely do need to fix, and they help prioritize those things. They did a full engine swap on my 2013 ford focus ST after I blew the motor which was a MASSIVE job, finished in a timely manner and even reattached the aftermarket parts which I know isnt usually their primary service.Just took my 2002 Subaru Impreza STI for breaks and some maintenance. They not only went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable with the repairs (being a relatively heavily modded car they they werent used to dealing with) they did their research and gave me options cheaper than anywhere I could have gone for the same repair AND finished the repairs in a timely manner.Could not recommend Tonys enough.
