I appreciated Zoey’s kindness throughout the process but am very disappointed in my experience as a potential tenant. It took over a month to get my application processed, I had to call to find out I was even approved. The day before my scheduled move-in a different representative let me know that I can’t even see the unit I’m supposed to be leasing until I’ve signed the lease at 4pm. No pictures, no walk through, which just seemed a bit sketchy and was a policy I was never made aware of.This led me to unfortunately have to cancel my move-in and throw the application money out the window. Was really looking forward to leasing here based on other reviews but just disappointed with the lack of flexibility/transparency especially with the current market here.

Even though it took forever to get my deposit back, this is a great place to live at.. The pools are always clean and the staff in the office are very kind and professional. I recommend anyone to live here. My apartment was very spacious and the maintenance here are on top of their game! :)

Moved in yesterday and could not be happier with my experience here so far! 1 bedroom is more affordable here than any of the nearby properties I looked at. Reading reviews I know everyone has a different experience, but I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff, they have been so friendly and genuine with me and my roommate throughout moving in. The manager even went out of his way to help get my furniture into the unit which I truly appreciated! I finally have my own washer/dryer which is what sold me! I suggest this complex to anyone looking for looking for affordable, clean renovated apartments.

As a resident of over three years now, the professionalism of the staff by far exceeds any other. It has been a true pleasure to be a part of the Sanctuary on 22nd family. Every time enter the leasing office, I am always met with a warm welcome whether it’s to just casually catch up or I have a maintenance request. Recently, one of my vehicles had a flat tire. Not only did the staff help provide the equipment to assist, they also helped change the tire. As someone who is living in his first ever apartment, my trust is definitely with the Sanctuary in 22nd team members. So to those looking for a place to reside, I recommend considering this place because you will be met with the utmost care and overall satisfaction.

In the process of moving in, I discovered that move-ins are conducted at 4pm on the day of move in. This is an highly unusual as no federal or state law dictates this is necessary. As a matter of fact, it it expected that a dwelling unit be available at the start of business hours on the date the lease begins.Why this is a concern:*You are paying the full day’s rent for the use and occupancy of your dwelling and utilizing less than half of that*You are liable for the apartment and required to have it insured for that entire day*Most people begin their electric service and are responsible for all other utilities beginning on this day and it as stated by the assistant manager Gabby that they have the cleaners clean the apartment that day. So, they will be using your water/electric.There’s absolutely no reason the maintenance work or cleaning cannot be done in advance of your lease start date.I am loathe to leave a poor review as the leasing staff has been incredibly sweet and helpful. I actually wanted to highlight how uniquely pleasant they have been -especially Nitara (she’s so kind and helpful). However, I spoke to Gabby last Wednesday about this and was expecting a call back by end of day Friday 9/4 (her words). As of today 9/9, I’ve called twice and left two messages for her to no avail. This really leaves a bad taste because at the start of a lease contract, one expects clear communication and follow through on promises.I hope I hear from her soon and will update her if I do. I’ll also provide an update after moving in.************UPDATE 9/29/20 ************I’ve been without a functioning stove/oven this entire time. I reported it over a week ago now, and was told it would arrive within 3-4 days max. I’ve called and emailed and was told it was going to arrive yesterday or this morning at the latest, but it’s now almost 5pm and no one has come by or even attempted to contact me. Much more has occurred since my initial post, and I will be uploading photos and more details soon. The place is nice enough, but the level of disrepair and disregard is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I wish I would’ve kept searching for another apartment, and would urge you to do the same.

Warning DO NOT MOVE IN ! these apartments have a bed bug and cockroaches infestation. By the dumpsters you can see people furniture throw out because of the bed bugs problem that they have here. Apartment 2107 has bed bugs inside of the walls !

This complex is a great place to live. The staff are all very friendly and really try to go above and beyond to meet your requirements. They strive to put a smile on your face no matter what the situation is. The complex Is clean. I personal enjoy the gym that they have. It gives me the workout that I strive to have. Great clean landscape. Overall a great place to live and enjoy your life and family.

Ive lived in this complex for over 20 some odd years.We now have new owners, and it has never looked better.The place has been upgraded with great landscaping, more plants and fresh paint,throughout the complex The grounds always look great.Both the office and maintenance staff are always ready willing and able to help.I love my wood plank vinyl flooring,black appliances,and the full size washer & dryer. Two Thumbs up 5 stars and a big ole smiley face too.

I have loved this complex since i moved in. Very quiet huge laundry machines my ac is very strong. And the double grills and pool area make summer much more doable in the heat out here. Would recommend to a friend.

I moved in about 3 months ago and this place is great so far! Maintenance has gotten back to us within a day with every request and I feel safe in this complex. I haven’t seen any bugs which is a plus. My bike was stolen off my first floor balcony shortly after moving in so don’t have anything of value out in plain sight outdoors. Other than that, this is a nice place to live.

Incredible experience with a great leasing agent, Gabriel. She answered all questions with percise answers and made my experience very stress free and enjoyable. My experience here has been a good one.The staff responded to my request to adjust the patio door. Maintenace came and checked that the A/C works great. The grounds are clean, I can hear an owl at night. No problem parking - even at night. The pool and jacuzzi are well kept. I like the plank flooring and open breakfast bar. Dont believe some of the crazy reviews. This is a good place to live and relax. I get to work in Scottsdale fast and I save money living here.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!I payed over 1100 for a 2 bedroom apt it was supposed to be the upgraded version well when I finally got my apt it was nothing like the model they showed me. They claim they gave me a SPOTLESS apt!!! The vinyl was scratched, parking is horrible, work orders take forever to get completed it took 2 weeks one time to get maintenance to fix my sink!!I lived in a much larger apt complex than this my work orders would get done in less than a week!Two or 3 months after I moved in we got bed bugs I told the staff in the office they blamed it on us, said that we brought them in!!! All my furniture was NEW I had to throw all of it away!!!Waste of money & waste of time do not rent here or unit 2107!!!! The older ladies in the office are useless wont work with you!Spend your money some where else people this place is not worth it!!!

Sadly, as is present in most areas these days, there is a visible population of displaced people. Because the largest gate is kept open the majority of the time - they & others are free to wander the property.PROS:🔹Location access to nearby commerce.🔹Landscaping & gated property.🔹Full size wash/dry via patio🔹Multi windows & large closets🔹Tub/shower combo🔹Large patio/balconies🔹No carpet🔹Space & layout🔹Covered assigned parking🔹Pay Rent thru RentCafe🔹No issue with bugs inside unit (occas outside bug gets inside)🔹Office Staff & Office clean, pleasentCONS:🔹Noise…🔹Neighbors music & vehicles🔹This is compounded by poor building materials/insulation (or/lack thereof).🔹When upstairs tenant walks accross the floor it sounds like they are stomping.🔹Majority of vehicles that pass my unit are playing music so loud it rattles my windows - at ALL hours of day/nite. I signed a 6 month lease, which I’m happy I did because they raised the lease by $200, it went from $830(not including water,sewer,trash & taxes) to $1020. That’s ridiculous for the space you get & the area it is. They want the residents to pay for long over due repairs & renovations, something I won’t stick around to do.Cops were there every other night, which is not surprising because of the area.. not a big deal because I knew that before I moved in.The office staff sucks, they’re rude & don’t know anything about anything.The kitchen is super small & there’s minor issues, which is expected in an apartment.I never heard my neighbors and every one was friendly for the most part.2 days after I moved in, my light for the kitchen fell down from the ceiling. Pretty scary but they came the next morning & replaced it.Posting pictures of the grounds.. honestly nothing was perfect but it wasn’t terrible.I never had roaches or bugs. I left things on my porch & nothing was taken, ever. Maintenance guys came no problem, & were respectful.I would recommend, they aren’t bad.. just the kitchen is super small & the front office sucks.

A few years back /i use to reside here and I must admit the holidays felt warm and cozy. No issues with neighbors and management was cool. The AC work well and kept place cool, must admit the experience was bless.

I’ve been at this apartment complex for two years. We moved in around June 2017. The two years that we’ve been here have been great. Not only is the staff really great, but all my neighbors are really polite.

This is a complete makeover!!!!! I was there two years ago and returned to the neighborhood a month ago and the property looks incredible!!!!!! They have new management which is AWESOME!!! They are so nice and kind; they attend every problem with patience and sympathy. They’re slowly but surely turning this asset into an amazing community that everyone would love to live there.

So happy since the new manager took over 4 months ago. This place has been such an improvement in past few months. Actually care about tenants and make time for you!

Came to tour and was met by a nice young lady in the office. I was informed that they currently have two styles of apartments - classic and upgraded. I ended up renting the upgraded unit. The pricing is a bit higher than what I wanted to pay but the upgrades are well worth it.I have lived here for about a month now. There is a lot going on here as they are making changes to the property. The grounds are well kept and they have a great fitness room! The office staff is friendly and helpful.The maintenance guys get your work orders done either same day or the next day.

Just moved here from flagstaff in august. Id say the heat is hard to get adjusted to but the AC was perfect and i look forward to using the big pools!

Quick at fixing maintenance issues, quiet neighbors, haven’t had any problems with bugs. Laundry machines work and the dog relief area is stocked with doggie bags. We had two maintenance issues and they were fixed within a day of submitting the work order. So far I’ve had a nice experience and I have lived here since December.

I moved here 5 years ago from out of state seeking a warmer climate. I couldnt have chosen a better apartment complex. Management is warm and friendly, always there with a genuine smile and pleasant conversation.Whether its picking up a package, putting in a maintenance order of just stopping in to say hello. Its so nice to wake up to birds singing, inhaling the aroma of various varieties of trees and the tranquility of the entire complex. It truly is a sanctuary. I am loving my home here at Sanctuary on 22nd. Everything I need is centrally located to this area, coffee shops, malls, the Interstate, markets etc. Come see for yourself. Youll love it too.

My Experience at Santuary on 22nd is Amazing. The front desk people are very nice and helpful. Gabby had a smile on her face and was very helpful and answered all my questions. It feels like home here .

My wife and I live here, the place is lovely. The bad reviews must be from other apartment complexes cause this is by far the nicest apartment complex we have found. The staff are awesome and deserve the name the sanctuary. Couldnt be happier. Will and Ana.

I have lived in a few apartment complexes in the Phoenix area, but my experience at the Sanctuary on 22nd has trumped all of the others! The grounds are clean and well kept, any time I had a question about my apartment or anything having to do with the complex has been answered by the staff (who are amazing!!!!) in a very friendly and professional manner, and my apartment is wonderful! Not only would I say I would recommend the Sanctuary on 22nd to people, Ive already done so. Its a great place to live!

Our A/C unit has been out for 12 days now in the middle of summer. I keep putting in request forms to have it fixed and they keep checking it as a completed project however here I am still 12 days later with no A/C. They gave us a portable unit which is great but we can only use it when we are in the home because you have to open a window to let the unit vent out hot air. Trust me you don’t want to keep your window open in this neighborhood I had my car broken into in November of last year and just two months ago someone stole the copper pipes controlling the water for the complex. These pipes were just outside of our apartment and that incident nearly flooded our apartment. Thankfully we had a neighbor who was a plumber and he was able to shut it off while the maintenance guy was standing there trying to figure out which knob to turn.

I give 5 stars for the staff Gabriel (Gabbie) and Senada, they have been very welcoming and responsive to any issue we have had since moving in here mid December. The maintenance man has also been very helpful and came in a timely manner. This is a good place for the money and for the most part quiet. Compared to other places that are in this area this complex is definitely better, the others look run down and sketchy. Our unit has a fireplace, which we didnt think wed ever use... Arizona gets chilly in winter! Ill post an update after were settled in

I just renewed my lease going into my 4th year here . I absolutely love it ! It’s very quiet and I feel very safe living here with my 1 year old . The apartments outside and inside are beautiful ! Gabby and senata in the office are awesome !!! Whenever there are maintenance requests they follow up very quickly and fix things . I have never had any problems while living here . The neighbors are all nice and polite , everyone minds their business . It’s a great place to live . I will be staying here until I am ready to purchase a house .

I applied there and was approved. But I looked at other apartments as well and found one I liked and fit my needs better. Within the allowable time period, I reached out to Sanctuary 22 staff and told them that I was not going to be signing a lease with them and asked for my $150 administrative fee back. I was told Id have it in my account in a few days. Thay did not happen. I called back and suddenly the story is I will be receiving a check in the mail to my current address. Ummm, hello, Im in the process of moving. Why would anyone send me a paper check (who uses checks in 2018?) to an address I no longer live at? I sure as hell didnt pay the fee in the form of a check - they dont accept checks! - so why would I not have my money refunded electronically?Fraudulent company. Rent at your own risk.

I stopped by Sanctuary on 22nd a few days to see the location. Thinking of moving to the area so was checking the apartments around there. I was very happy w Senada in the leasing office. She was very polite and friendly. She made me feel welcome and at ease. Just talking w her made me want to move in wout even seeing the place. So I will definitely keep in mind this place if I decide to move.

I just renewed my contract because I like living at Rancho Viejo Apartments. I work all day so I dont know what goes on in the daytime, but what I like is that for the most part its very quiet. Ive lived there for 6 months and I havent had any problems with noisy or crazy neighbors. The price is fair compared to surrounding properties. They keep the property clean and it feels secure even at late night hours when I usually get home. Management is the nicest compared to other apartment complexes Ive lived before. I really like that all apartments have washer and dryer included. Overall I would recommend this complex to anyone who is looking for something clean, nice and affordable.

(THEN) In The Beginning A Couple Years Back I Said Great Clean Community! The office staff is very kind, welcoming, and friendly! Manager Senada has a funny sense of humor lol. I moved here 2 Months Ago and have had no issues at all. Apartment is nice, neighbors are quiet!(NOW) Been at these Apartments going on 3yrs! Many things have went unprofessionally down hill since office Manager Senada left company about year ago! Customer service is poor, much careless lack of communication and inaccuracy amongst staff to tenants consistently. Not happy about stay and treatment as of lately. Especially when Rent keeps raising in the midst of pandemic and not even really worth the high price range.

I moved in a month ago. I should have listened to the reviews, but I went against my better judgement sadly. I cant believe how many issues Ive had already. To start, they have a major infestation of cockroaches. I see them all the time when I go get my mail at night and Ive already had 4 in my home! I am an extremely clean person who throws out their trash every other day and cleans their home daily. Im outraged. They spray on Fridays if you ask and Im still having an issue! Disgusting. I have an upgraded apartment that they basically masked any previous issues with. There is mold underneath my kitchen sink that they put a spray painted piece of wood over and when I addressed this when I moved in they told me theres nothing there. Wow. They also used white spray of some sort to spray over the other moldy places, I can see the mold growing out of it. Same answer when this was addressed. I was told I couldnt get a new screen for my patio even though when I moved in it had a big hole in it. Just a no from them. The cabinet doors are brand new, I know because I had to peel off all of the stickers. Funny because the actual cabinet is the old one that they just put a new coat of paint over! The bathtub is atrocious. Not upgraded for what I pay for...old tub with stains I cant get out of it, cracked tiles, a drain thats constantly filled with water, not to mention the constant sound of dripping water in the walls in the bathroom. Noisy complex, especially at night. Kids running around during the day and Ive had an issue with stickers being out on my car. The patios are open, which means anyone can walk onto them if youre on the first floor. Easy access to my screen door snd I have to make sure I close my blinds when Im not home so no one can have an easy look in. One lock on the front door, thats it. Not safe and Im a grown man. Be smart and dont move here. There are plenty of other apartments literally a minute away with washer and dryers and no roaches/problems that are much safer and quieter. Dont make my mistake and move here. Im already saving up to get out of my lease.

These apt moved my family in a upgraded unit ... nothing is upgraded..what a couple black appliances..no new flooring at all not even new carpet...the washer and dryer have been broken for 3 weeks.the vinal floor has holes in it .the havent fixed nothing and cop a attitude when you ask for the stuff your paying for to be fixed ..we aint asking for marble flooring just what ever one else gets ..is that too hard ....and dont message back like oh sorry to hear about your experience...thats b s the management knows and dont care

Reading through these comments honestly shocks me, some are even very offensive. I understand if you didnt have a good experience somewhere, but to attack people directly, commenting on their appearance, is seriously ridiculous.Sanctuary no 22nd is the perfect location from my office. The staff are nothing but polite and helpful. When I first moved in, I had an issue with the dishwasher not draining. I sent in a maintenance request and it was fixed within the week.The apartment itself is nice enough. I chose the classic model to help with funds. There were no issues with appliances, everything was clean. I have only ever seen a roach in my apartment once, and Ive been here for 7 months.The only reason I give them 4 stars over 5 is because of some of the other residents. There has been, on occasion, someone blasting music at 12AM (which are normally shut down within an hour or so) or the smell of marijuana when you walk throughout the complex.If youre on the fence about the complex, I would say that if youre a good tenant, you have literally nothing to worry about. If you see something you dont like, report it. Let the staff know. Dont grumble under your breath and write a bad review that life was so horrible and nothing was fixed because you didnt ask for it to be fixed in the first place.

Run as fast as you can. Moved there a year ago on the first floor. Went to Home Depot for security bar. Maintenance man said oh all the patio doors here were installed the wrong way (inside out). My AC bill was $350 a month in the summer. I then move today. Two days ago the manager called me while I am at work and ask Are you turning in your keys? It was May 30th. My lease isnt up til the 31st. She then calls again as Im moving and ask if she can inspect the apt. by 2pm because theyre doing closeouts for the month. I didnt finish until just b4 they closed. She kept walking by as we were moving. Who does that. She then inspects the place and tells us its a charge 2 clean carpet. They also charge the old resident to paint. This is something they have to do anyway b4 renting it again. A total RIP off. Just want 2 keep ur deposits. DONT MOVE THERE!!!!! I will contest any charges to paint a plugged hole where my flat screen stood. Charging also 4 sofa scarap on wall.

I moved here with my family of 3 about a month ago, the facility is great the property Managers Chris and Tina are phenomenal, if I ever have any questions about anything Tina always has a solid answer for me she great! The AC runs ice cold and with these moonsons taking place so regularly I have not dealt with power being out which I know is a big problems in certain areas, the residents keep to them selfs and are friendly upon contact. If you ever need any maintenance done to anything with in your apartment Sanctuary 22 has an awesome website you just fill out a maintenance request and they get it done pretty quickly. The rent is not bad at all look to there website for more pricing and you can pay your rent through your online portfolio so convenient, its a gated community with security so thats a huge plus for me, and they have remotes available for you which can open up the gates with out neededing to enter a code manually two pools and a fitness center the office is open 6 days a week so if you do have questions or need something Tina and Chris as well as all the other lovely ladies that work in the front office are always willing to help. If you have a family or want to be in a community where you do that need to be looking over your shoulder Sanctuary 22 is a good choice!

My roommate and I looked at the sanctuary on 22 on 02/06/2019 we fell in love! They didn’t have a two bedroom to show so we were very proactive in calling and coming into the physical office. Unfortunately we were told lies that the apartment would be ready to view numerous days though out the month but it never happened. We wanted the move in date the 1st of March and they assured us it would be available by then. Like most we do not want to rent without seeing the apartment so we keep calling and asking it was never available. Now today it’s unavailable and rented out when we have be ready for a MONTH. Unprofessional doesn’t even begin to describe this apartment complex. This was the WORST apartment experience ever. Buyer beware.

First of all i love this place. But i and my family are upset and frustrated that this place has BED BUGS.... And paying so much to deal with this every night with not having the rest we need. When i fist slept in these rooms we got attacked by these bugs. n i was upset that we have these. And i thought that staff was rude to say that we brought these bugs from where we live. N my head i was thinking nope we have a brand knew home....id think so, moved down so i can attend school. And know when i go to the office i feel dont right cause of me being told i have bugs, Why are people trashing their belongings is my next question. Its all from the apartments...is what i think.

Do not rent here.Office is nice at first, but as soon as they have your money, they refuse to help you.Nancy told us that we wouldnt be able to move in til nearly 2 weeks after the date we SIGNED and agreed to move in on because of maintenance issues.Also told us we could have our holding fee back because we financially could not wait those 2 weeks.Once we called to get that back, suddenly there was no recollection or record of the conversation about the maintenance issues or about us getting the holding fee back.Nancy and her manager Michelle were very rude and mocked our financial hardship by saying yeah well you cost US money by not moving in...Nancy obviously needs some more training because she gives our false information and neglects to make any record of her conversations with applicants.Michelle is one of those managers that will make your life harder for their own benefit or laziness.

Grounds are beautiful and clean, apartments are spacious. I love the location its close to freeway and shopping.

If you see recent good reviews, dont be fooled, thats fake reviews from the staff, theyll add a good review if someone post a bad review. Dont move here youll regret it.

Don’t not move in here. Apartment 2107 Is full of BED BUGS and they where rude enough to say that we brought them ! We bought all new furniture and we had to throw everything away and they made us pay for the exterminator even thought the bed bugs were already inside the apartment when we first moved in because we found a couple of them died when we started moving our stuff in. Also there a extreme amount of roaches that come out at night. Waste of money and time here. 2/15/19

Had an issue with rent and a concession not being applied fully for renewing my lease. The staff was unprofessional and unwilling to assist. I would highly suggest not renting here as the new staff is incompetent.

Nice apartments but had a plumbing issue, and maintenance started making holes all over the apartment to find a leak, all my clothes and furniture were dusty, they offer to stay in a model apartment but the water heater was not working, had a bad experience but the apartments are decent,.

Dont move here! Its a overpriced housing slum. It was built in 1985 and it is infested with roaches and black mold. The roaches are mad at you cuz theyre living inside the black molded walls. They come out of the walls and take their anger out on you. The black mold is all through the walls. They just painted over the mold. Many of neighbors have gotten extremely sick from living in this place from the mold. Its a sanctuary for birds and dogs but not the people. Theres bird poop all over the sidewalks, just layers of it. They charge you over $45 for water which is ridiculously high compared to other apartments this size but they wont wash the bird poop from the sidewalks. Theres dog poop everywhere you turn, too. The apartments is ran by two old women that are unattractive and who are members of a motorcycle club and the maintenance super is a 70 plus man in the same club and his assistant under him, too. They all belong to the same motorcycle club so you cant complain about any of them to each other. Theyre only interested in redecorating the front office and the outside of the office and the landscape in the front of the apartment entrances. While the rest of the apartments grounds are awful. Chris the manager and Tina her assistant are doing this cuz there dreams came finally true and they can spend another mans money on themselves cuz its their surroundings from Monday-Saturday during office hours. Go look at the office and go look at the rest of the apartment grounds and youll see what Im speaking of. Once you get here, they wont do a thing to help a tenant when they need it. All Ive seen is them do is buying something new in their office with the new owners money. Everybody complains about these two old ladies but nothing has been done. They gossip about other tenants with other tenants. Thats an invasion of privacy. Please dont move here! Also, you can hear the tenants upstairs flushing their toilets from your bedroom. If you in the bathroom at the same time, it is louder when the tenants flush the toilet over your head so you think it can come through the walls. Also, you can hear their showers actually running plus their bathroom sinks. These arent luxury apartments. Theyre old apartments that needed remodeling 20 years ago but theyre charging you for the remodeling. Were doing the research to find the owners of this complex because this management company should be fired by the owners!

DO NOT EVEN BOTHER trying to rent here. I did the whole process of applying and waiting on approval. They called me friday and said i was approved just needed to pay off a debt i owed and get a statement saying i did . Then today wednesday may 10th they call and say im denied. Taking this to the BBB(beter bussiness bural).

They have the leaf blowers and lawn mowers come at 730 am. What the HECK? Of course managment dont care cause they dont live here. Cant WAIT to move.New managment (since 10/2016) is okay. The walls of these aparments are paper thin. If its not a neighbor, or a dog barking, youll hear the maintenance workers screaming to each other. Very very loud complex. Lots of dogs, so theres lots of dog poop. Cant wait to move so my daughter can get some peace and quiet.

Called less then a week ago lady on the phone said the 2 bedroom apt were 785 and that they just took over as pinnacle becuz I was going to go in that day she said that they were bearly getting set up and asked if I could come in, in a couple of days ok sure. Went into the office on Friday 9/9/16 talk to rude ass LISA apparently there were no more apts for that price and that the apartments now they are $925 for the 2 bedrooms and the 1 bedroom is $780 not including trash tax sewer or water!?!?! Wow.... And on top of it she didnt even give me a tour of the place simply handed me a piece of paper telling me to bring my application back? Apparently she was to busy to help a potential renter I guess that must not be her job? LISA you are a rude old lady who clearly has no business working in any enviornment that evolves any form of human contact!

I pay too much for my rant 1000 for a 2 bed room utilities not included and if anything pluse i have to pay for insurance and when anything breaks they want you to pay for it worst apartments i have ever moved into
