We cant say enough good things about Phoenix Pools! We hired Phoenix Pools to build our in ground pool. Owner Shane Johnson was hands on throughout the entire process. We could not be happier with the finished product.Shane and his crew are timely, professional, and most importantly honest. The thing that most impresses me about Phoenix is that they stand behind their product. Any issues we have (which arent many), are taken care of with no hassle. We highly recommend the in-floor cleaning system. Our pool is virtually maintenance free!!We recommended Phoenix to our friends and neighbors. A few have since built with Shane and his crew and Ive heard only good things from them as well.We buy all of our pool products from the Phoenix Pools store. They have a very knowledgeable staff and fair prices.Phoenix Pools is fantastic!!

Phoenix Pools, Shane and Team, and the sled cleaning system is amazing. We wanted a pool that we did not have to do a ton of maintenance from cleaning to chemicals. Your answer is a Phoenix Pool with the self cleaning system. It does everything you need and is so easy. We also get all our chemicals from Phoenix Pools store on their sale days which saves us $$$ and their team will check our water sample if needed at anytime then make recommendations if water is out of sync. We have an amazing pool that is always clean thanks to Phoenix Pools and their self cleaning system. If you looking for a pool they should be your first and last call. Thanks Phoenix Pools!

Phoenix Pools built our pool in 2016. We have the in-floor cleaning system and an auto cover and it is virtually maintenance free. Our pool is always crystal clear. Owner Shane is very passionate about taking care of his customers and always comes through for us when we have a question or problem. We get all our chemicals from them as they do not overcharge us. Would highly recommend Phoenix Pools!

I called this company because I was recommended by someone to use them.I got a salesman on the phone and requested he come to my house and take a look, discuss and give estimate. I really wasn’t planning on calling anyone else. But needed to start somewhere. The salesman got on the phone and tried to “qualify “ me immediately. I’m a salesman so that means throwing prices out on the phone to see if it scares you away or if it’s in your line of thought. Tactic used to weed out people that have no idea how expensive pools are.He threw $50,000 out at me and I had already expected it to be around that. I said ok and made an appointment with him to come out the following Monday. He never showed up and has never called back!If this is the service I get before I write the check, I can’t imagine what my service would be after they’re paid?I moved on.

The owner’s response prove my point. Took a year to respond to a review/complaint regarding his company. The pool itself is a great self cleaning pool and just wish it was represented by another company.I agree With other reviews that the lack of service and customer Service is a huge negative and Shane is a good salesman but not always does what he says. When people are dropping $50,000 plus you would think someone might follow up and ask how the pool was doing. I went Into the store to request someone come fix my liner that was pulling out of the track as the pool was less than 10 months old and told they were busy and behind but could be out in 3 weeks. Here we are 6-7 weeks later and no call no show so had someone else fix.Get it all in writing and maybe even record the sales pitch and plan on using another company to open and close your pool.My pool is approx 1 year old and have not heard a word or follow up from Phoenix since completion. Didn’t even call to see if we wanted to use them to open the pool.Guess once they have your money it doesn’t matter. We do enjoy our pool so good luck with your choices.Above and Beyond (Tony) did fantastic work around the pool (concrete, landscaping and fencing)

I wanted to give a review to a company that deserves some recognition. Shane at Phoenix built my pool in fall of 2018, so we just got to use it this season. They did a great job and kept in touch all the way. The workers were very friendly and answered all of our questions. When we felt we needed Shane, the owner, he always answered his phone and always has time to talk. The pool is great. They educated us on how to run it. We have great confidence in how to operate it. We have enjoyed the whole season and now they have come back to close it for the winter. The pricing we felt was reasonable. I recommend using Phoenix for your new pool.

I can’t give this company more than one star. The pool is beautiful but it’s hard to overlook the terrible customer service & lack of communication. We would leave messages, texts & voicemails and no one, including the owner, Shane would return our calls. We put money down in August of 2019 with the promise we’d be first on the schedule in the spring of 2020. They held a construction meeting with us in March. At that time we were informed that somebody measured incorrectly. The solution was to either pay $3300 to move power lines or $5000 to move deck stairs. The only other option was to lose a feature (a sun deck). A feature we really wanted. We did not want to spend anymore money so we decided to lose the feature which later I found out they didn’t subtract this feature from the cost of the pool. Starting in early April I contacted them to find out when they’d break ground. Due to Covid our shipment was delayed which we understood. They finally broke ground in May. There were days & weeks that no one would show up. We’d leave messages, texts & voicemails & no one would get back to us. Our pool wasn’t completed until after 4th of July. We also had to pay for the entire project on July 1st yet we didn’t have our winter cover, which is included in the contract. We were scheduled to have the pool closed up on Oct 9th, but they canceled because the cover wasn’t in. Rescheduled for Oct 27th, no show. On October 13th I sent Shane a message asking why our pool cover hadn’t been ordered since I picked it out in April. He stated they order the covers at the end of the season & they’d get us scheduled. November 7th I messaged him again in regards to closing up our pool & that it was part of our contract & we had paid for it in July. I also left messages with the office & the construction manager & not one person got back with us. We ended up having to hire an attorney for them to fulfill their end of the contract. Costing us more money needlessly. We have a beautiful pool but I cannot recommend them. Once they received their money we were no longer important to them.

When we were considering building a pool we contacted several companies in Omaha including Phoenix Pools. Shane Johnson (owner) met with us and we talked about what we had in mind, just the same as the other companies that we had met with. Shanes response was Yes, I can build that pool for you but the way your yard is laid out, I have a much better idea that will work great. Shane was the only one that suggested something different than what we had in mind all along and it absolutely made sense. I could tell right then that he was very passionate about what he does and also creative. Before making a decision, I asked a friend of mine (who is a home builder and has had many pools at his various residences) what he thought of the Phoenix and his comment was Ill never build a pool with anyone else. Given that response and the comfort level we had, we decided to move forward. Throughout the process, Shane and his crew were great to work with and very transparent as to where they were in the process. We did have some weather delays but thats to be expected when you are doing any type of outdoor construction in the spring in Omaha, NE.We also installed the in-floor cleaning system and, aside from making sure the chemicals are balanced and brushing down the sides, its relatively maintenance free. Several of our friends have pools without the cleaning system and their general comments are I wish we had that.On an ongoing basis, if I have an issue or questions, Shane has always made himself available and is very timely in his responses.Shane has installed pools at several of our friends homes and they have had similar experiences as well. I would highly recommend Shane and Phoenix Pools to anyone who is considering building a pool.

Not to happy with this place they’ve been doing my moms pool. For 3 years. Told her pump was bad. Said they’d do it for 1600$. Asked them if their was any negotiation , he said no. So I went over to classic pool and spa. And got estimate. Would’ve been 1100$ tops. Could’ve saved her 500$. But as impatient as she is. She didn’t want to do it. All I’m saying is check around. Prices are negotiable. Don’t Have a problem with business making moneyBut I feel they could’ve took in better care of her

My wife and I had a pool built by Phoenix Pools last year. We wanted to write a review about not only our installation experience but the operation of the pool a year later. We received four bids from local pool contractors and Shane was the most thorough explaining all of our different options in great detail. Coming from a mechanical background I researched pool systems and have found the most important feature to be the self-cleaning pool system that only Phoenix Pools offers (after a full season the system has worked flawlessly). With the pool equipment only being required to be run at night it provides a clear quiet pool for swimming during the day.We had numerous questions about chemicals or balancing of the pool and the guys at the shop do a great job explaining what needs to be done.We definitely made the right choice and couldnt be happier with our pool and how it operates. Thanks Phoenix Pools !Jim and Janice Kozeny

We spent hundreds of dollars at the other pool stores, from local to national chains. None of them fixed the pool problems, they masked them selling us more and more chemicals. Phoenix pools fixed the problem, told us what to do, and at a very reasonable cost. Hundreds less than we spent last year! Now we can enjoy our pool instead of always trying to adjust it chemically.

Just Ordered a replacement o ring for my pump! I was pleasantly surprised when I gave them the part number the gentlemen actually knew what I was talking about. (I havent had good luck in the past at other places) I was also able to pay for it over the phone and they mailed it to me which saved me a 90min drive for a $6.00 part. They will be getting my business in the future.

I hired Phoenix Pools to build my pool last year. Breaking ground inlate April, they said my pool might be in by June 1st. Then July 4th. Then Labor Day. Finally, we had a pool by September, and ran it for three weeks. I spent almost $90,000 for this pool, inclusive.Shane Johnson, proprietor of Phoenix, virtually never shows up for your pool job except to sell it to you. During the construction period, he lost many of his long standing employees. One fellow of senior rank was promised to me to be foreman. He wasnt the foreman, but instead I had a first time guy who had never overseen the construction of any pool. After the pool was built, I noticed one of the ladders had been mis-set, and was threatening to damage the pool liner.Upon being notified, Johnson blamed the mistake on one of my subcontractors, despite the fact it was Phoenix people - one could never know who was an employee from a subcontractor - that set the position of the ladder. That ladder remains uninstalled now.Additionally, when I told Johnson the heat pump was leaking, he told me that was between me and the heat pump manufacturer. Phoenix wouldnt even come out to look at it!Furthermore, one of the selling points Johnson emphasized was that Phoenix wrapped drain tile around its pool to reduced water problems.Nevertheless, when the time came to do that work, Johnson refused without an upcharge, and so I had to hire that work done!Additionally, although Phoenix parked its skid loader and back hoe on my property for weeks if not months, they refused to move the enormous dirt piles they built from the dig to another portion of my yard as agreed.Once again, I had to rent a skid loader and hire a guy to move those piles. This year, we called Phoenix three times and I wrote and texted Shane Johnson numerous times about opening my pool. They never responded, except Shane Johnson told me to call the store, which we had done three times. So now I have called another pool company to open my pool for the first time ever after it had been winterized by PhoenixThe new company is appalled that NOTHING is labeled, and that several pipes went unwinterized. And, of course, the heat pump leaks profusely upon first use.You are on your own, totally, when you hire Phoenix Pools. You might as well Building the pool yourself.I almost cant believe how poorly this company treats you as a customer. Make sure to video-record the sales pitch you are getting, and add a few thousand to the quoted price you receive fir the legal work you will be needing to hire to do business with Phoenix Pools.

Very disappointed. I called around town looking for #20 Silica sand. That is what we have used in our pool since we bought it 5 summers ago and it works so I always buy the same thing every year. I called 5 different pool places and none had this in stock. When I got to Phoenix he said they always have everything in stock. So I drove from Bellevue to Omaha to pick up 2 bags of #20 Silica sand. I mentioned when I walked in the door I was the person who just called about 2 bags of #20 Silica Sand. He remembered exactly and rung me up. Guy was super nice and offered to take the 2 bags to my car so I never saw the bags up close. When I got home the first thing my husband said when he went to take them out of the car was This isnt the right sand, doesnt say Silica on it anywhere. We read every word, even the small ones, and it did not say Silica on it anywhere. We noticed some of the sand leaking from a corner of the bag. This was NOT Silica sand. This stuff looked like brown playground sand. Silica sand looks like white Mexico powder beach sand. I called and the first guy I talked to was not the guy who sold it to me. I explained in detail what happened and that I not only called for #20 Silica sand but I said #20 Silica sand again when I walked in. This guy said something about Everyone calls for Silica sand but this pool sand is what they mean. I could not have been more insulted. It was one thing if he didnt have the right stuff but at least he could have told me he did not have Silica sand but he had this other cheap stuff and given me the choice. He also should never have told me over the phone they had #20 Silica sand in stock and in his words everythings always in stock if they did not. Not only did I waste my time driving there from the south side of Bellevue (almost Plattsmouth) but then I wasted my money on this cheap crappy sand. Thats probably why he offered to put it in my car so I wouldnt read the bag. Guy was super nice, but basically lied to me by omission. I had hoped I had just found a new place to go for pool supplies as we are 5 years in and going to need to start replacing things, but I will never shop here again and hope to warn others to avoid this one. Misleading about their products and defended the fact that he gave me the wrong product when I called. Add to that, at the end of the call they said they have 2 bags of Silica sand so I could drive ALL THE WAY out there again and exchange them. WHAT!!??!! That just took the cake and I was done. They should have offered to drive them to me and exchange for free after lieing about what he was selling me. This was a waste of time, money and dont make the same mistake.
