I absolutely love living here! It’s quiet, everything I need is within 10-15 mins around the city, and it’s by the beach. The neighbors also keeps to themselves. The maintenance people are professional and handles situations quickly. The quality of the apartment for the prices you pay is very fair compared to the apartment market pricing around the Norfolk area. I like the unique concept structure of the non 2 story apartments. It’s like a little house!

I’m a First time mover !!! & Amy was great . She made me feel sooo welcome and i felt like home before i even stepped foot in my new home & she was so sweet and left me a present 😍 it’s people like that you see and speak to that can just change somebody day . I went from nerves & panic to calm and soo excited . She made everything so easy for me ! Thank you Amy & Dj the technician was great , very kind and helpful . This complex is nice . Highly recommend

Let me just say my first year here was pretty awesome. I will say if I could give the office staff a separate rating it would be 5 stars as they are caring, kind, & listen to issues. The entire office is amazing and the maintenance team is very professional. The biggest and most important issues are the loud neighbors, thin walls, and the bugs. This second year has been horrible with water bugs or roaches constantly showing up. Exterminator will come but you have to be home to let them in, good luck if youre at work because your home will not be sprayed. I finally was about to get them to stop by constantly spraying and setting multiple traps. The walls are paper thin!!!!! If youre a working professional or over 30 DO NOT live here! Youre going to hear every conversation, every fight, every TV show. Itll feel like they are sitting at the edge of your bed. After multiple complaints about neighbors and 6 months of constantly being woken up by partying 19-20 somethings, fights physical and verbal, I was told something would be done & Im still waking up the noise from these kids. Im counting down for my lease to be over. The first year I lived here, my neighbor was amazing!! We both worked so I never heard him. This second year has been purely from hell. Parties every other week, music blasting in the middle of the night and it sounds like fight club is in their living room. If you want to sleep well or have health conditions live somewhere else youll never rest here!!

I absolutely love this place. It’s so quiet and comfortable. The office staff is amazing especially Amy. I get immediate response for any questions I may have and everyone is so pleasant. The maintenance crew are quick and efficient. The only negative is always being worried about available parking everyday when getting off work.

Lived here for a little under a year, very clean and management was always there to answer my questions. Updated amenities and appliances as well. I felt very safe living here too. Walking distance to the shopping center too. Close to the I-64 as well and affordable rates.

The staff here is awesome, from the lovely ladies in the office to the maintenance who keeps this places clean and running smooth. Everyone is always polite courteous and friendly. My husband just recently got stationed in Virginia and we needed somewhere to stay for awhile, we came across Merrimack Landing and i’m so happy we did! Nancy Guynn helped me from states away figure out everything and when I did get here in Virginia finally, it was so painless and was very easy process. She did a really amazing job! Everyone in office are very friendly and helpful with all concerns or questions that you have. While still maintaining a great professional environment.

Ive lived at this property since 2011 and I am pleased with the property and management, they are very helpful and any maintenance issues I have they are taken care of within 24-48 hours. The maintenance supervisor Anthony is professional and informative and is willing to make sure any and all complaints are taken care. Tebrey came to fix my AC and window and both times he was considerate, pleasent, and he got the work done quickly, efficiently and neatly.

My childhood home. We lived at 8839 Albemarle. Back then, it was strictly Navy housing (Merrimack Park). I went back last year (after 56 years!) and it still looks great. Obviously it has been renovated but the buildings and grounds look fantastic. Imagine me pulling in after not seeing my childhood home for 56 years! I almost cried. Some of the best times of my life were at Merrimack Park. By the way, anybody know where Fishermans Point and The Russian Pool are? They are right there in the Park. We played there and watched the P3 Orions land at NAS. Take care of the place for me. Its my boyhood home. Ill never forget it.

I don’t have enough good words to say about Merrimack Landing. Kristin has made it seamless for me to move in. They wanted to help me so much, they wanted me to get exactly what I wanted in a home. My husband was deployed while I was in the midst of picking out places as well as signing the help. Kristin and the other Merrimack Landing Employee answered all my questions that I had. These employees were the reason I decided to choose Merrimack Lansing, they were friendly and knowledgeable. They went out of there way and measured a place before I even had a place to call my own. They didn’t make me feel as if I was unintelligent because I didn’t know certain aspects of how to go about signing a lease. It has only been a week living here, and I absolutely love this place. Me and my husband are beyond happy to be able to call this place our first home. Thank you to all the employees in the rental office. I really could not have done all of this with out your help and guidance.

I had a couple of maintenance issues and Tina was always very thorough when she came in and took a look at my problems. She didnt leave any issues unsolved she always found out what it was or got assistance to help figure out the problem and fixes it on the spot. She had great communication skills and I really value her and her team!

My kids and I have lived here over two years and the office staff and maintenance team are awesome. Especially Tina, who went above and beyond today--while fixing one issue, she anticipated another and was very pleasant to work with! I recommend this complex, especially to families with children!

My husband and I have been living here for 2 years now just renewed our lease. It’s a great community. Maintenance people are awesome! Management it amazing, they always call you back if needed, then will send you an email when your concerns are done. This comes in handy when no one is home and I can know when they came in and when they came out. Community is safe, I can walk my dog at 2am and not be scared for my life. Parking does suck at times and how the stress are it’s not the best but if you do park where there is a sign it’s not allowed you will get a sticker placed on your car and also if you always have a concern with parking around your area let management know. I had a laundry list of minor Maintance issues, that I reported late in the afternoon and did not expect the office to send out Mr. Steve Levine in such a timely fashion to rectify these issues. The low water pressure in camode, clogged bathroom sink, smoke detectors attended to, and A/C filter change out. He was very polite, courteous, and moved through each task swiftly. In short I was impressed with his service, and felt bad because he completed all tasks after six thirty P:M, a time in which I felt was beyond non emergency service time to please a tenant.Thank you all for your assistance.MS. I searched long distance, for and apartment for my daughter who was on a 7 month deployment, re-homing in Norfolk. I called Merrimack back 3 times and each time got great answers and then I checked other apartments. I finally decided on Merrimack for their PERSONAL assistance, good reviews, and price.I had a person to work with, Nancy, who was VERY friendly and helpful. If she was not there, any of the other people in the office knew exactly what was going on at any time and the conversations were seamless.My daughter filled out the easy to access application on their website, I got instructions on what to do and how to secure the apartment. They work very well with Military and families.When finally visiting this place it was clean, well cared for, had good and very reasonable rules that benefit everyone living there. Long story short, my daughter loved the place, perfect size, neat, clean, and the property was well taken care of. Finally, sitting down with Nancy and signing the documents was easy and full of information.This place is minutes from the beach, 3.3 miles to her ship and of that .2 miles is the gate entrance. She could run, walk, bike, drive to work and ALL shopping is within 5-8 min from this place. I was extremely pleased with the people, the place, the location, the personal service (working with the same person who answered my original questions who is on-site and the price.

I met with one of the office ladies Amelia and she gave me a great tour. Told me upfront what everything was going to be like and how much. Its not pricey at all, just pay attention to whats in your lease and youre fine. The rooms are great! Updated more than most apartments in this area! I cant wait to move in and stay for the few years that Im going to be stationed here.

I wanted to write a review after reading so many other negative ones. My experience has been very different from what I have read on here. I have been living here a year and a half now and I love it. The grounds are well kept, maintenance has ALWAYS responded to my requests very quickly and efficiently. I exercise throughout the campus on a daily basis and everyone I encounter is friendly and respectful. I feel safe for me and my grand daughter. My communication with the office staff has always been wonderful. My apartment will be coming up for remodel soon, I love my apartment and I am sorrowful of having to move into another unit. I enjoy my current neighbors. I am sorry that others have not had the great experience that I currently have. The entire state of VA has those icky water bugs, but the exterminators come regularly so I dont see those bugs like I have in other places. This is definitely a great, home-feel and enjoyable housing complex.

Very easy moving-in process, thanks to the wonderful ladies in the office! Very affordable. Apartment looked brand new. Spacious yard for dogs to play in. Very close to the Base if that matters to you. Would recommend 10/10

I like Merrimack Landing a lot! I stopped by the office last Thursday on my lunch break to renew my lease. While I was in there, I mentioned that my bathroom sink was draining slowly. The helpful young agent in the office put in the work order for me, and although I thought it would be a few days before it was repaired, they had it fixed before I got back from work!

I love living here! Nancy, Jenna, and Amelia are always helpful when we communicate. Recently spoke with Kristen about my payment and she seems like a great addition. Maintenance is always efficient when I call in a problem.

The office staff at Merrimack are thorough! Amelia went out of her way to make us feel at home during the touring process. The location seems great and it’s tucked inside a quiet neighborhood but close to stores and beach attractions. The apartments are well taken care of inside and out.

I came by to tour today with the wonderful Nancy. She made me feel so comfortable about transitioning here from my home. After the tour we spoke for a while in the office. Both Nancy and Amelia were so thoughtful and offered some of their sister properties to look at as well. I just wish they had something available sooner to move in.

My washer broke today leaving about an inch of water in my kitchen. But the support from Merrimack landing staff made the cleanup and repair process easy and less stressful for me. I called the office and was treated with kindness and understanding and they took prompt action to get maintenance to me. Tina was the awesome maintenance specialist who came and helped me soak up all the water and brought a blower to dry the floor. She was so nice and helpful through the whole process. Definitely huge props to her!

Painting out Merrimack has been great. The maintenance team( Anthony, Steve, Tina, Molly , and Bobby) has made the Job worth doing. I love this Job !!!

By far the best apartment complex in Norfolk. Lived at a few other places in downtown as well, but the rooms were much smaller and parking were weaker. As a sailor, it’s great to be in between the base and the beach. Staff are super nice and responsive. Nancy and Amelia are always extremely helpful and make you feel right at home.Overall, its a 5 out of 5 apartment complex.

I want to Express my gratitude to Romeo for taking extra time and always being professional and respectful if myself and my daughter. He replaced the window blind and also took down my window treatments and replaced them perfectly. I wouldnt have known anything was moved. Fantastic job as usual by the maintenance department. I moved here 2 months ago and I love my 2 bedroom townhouse. The process was fairly simple and The office ladies, Jenna, Nancy, Amelia and Jackie are always nice, helpful and professional. Ever since we have moved into Merrimack the people in the office have been incredibly nice and professional. Nancy helped us throughout the entire process and made it so easy for my husband and I. Just the other day Amelia put in an emergency maintenance request for me when my air wasn’t working properly and Steve from maintenance came fast. He had the hose unclogged and my air working within less than 30 minutes. Today I called about an issue with my trash can and DJ brought a new can to me ASAP. I would recommend them to anyone! We are so happy with our decision to move here!

I had a very good stay. It worked extremely well. They run the place in a most professional manner, always willing to answer questions and quick to help you resolve any issues. The staff, esp. Jenna and Jackie (the two I dealt with most), were fair and reasonable in their dealings and always cheerful and pleasant. The convenience of how close it is to Gate 4 of Naval Station Norfolk was a huge plus for me.

My stay out Merrimack was so peaceful and nice. The staff does such a great Job and always moved very quickly to every request. My daughter Tina works there and she does phenomenal. I am so proud of her.

The best damn place in the country. The best service. The best attention. Management 100% great. Staff is 100% good. If there was ever a problem never long taken care of. I love Merrimack so much Ill be here until Im dead and they carry me out.

Ive been living here at Merrimack Landing Apartments for a little over a year now and it has been a great place to live! This is our(girlfriend and myself) first apartment together and it has been very pleasant. The office staff are very nice every time Ive ever been. Every encounter Ive had with matience staff has been great. Theyre very prompt on fixing any issues you might have. When we first moved in, our water heater was overflowing/leaking everywhere and they came and fixed everything at 2AM. Parking is first come first serve so on occasion you might have to walk a bit further than normal to get to your apartment. Overall weve had a great experience at Merrimack Landing and would recommend to anyone. They have duplex and townhouse options. Its a cute little community once you get the chance to get out and walk around. I plan on living here for a few more years and Im glad to call Merrimack home!

I met with Amelia on Saturday for a tour. Such a delight to deal with and she was very transparent with all of the questions I had. I toured these units many years ago upon my first assignment to NOB. The renovations highlighted the old school charm of these units.

I used to live and work here. Its a great place to live. Molly and Tina are 2 great employees and are very helpful and fast when it comes to getting their job done. I highly recommend both of them!!!

Extremely friendly staff and environment. I just moved into my apartment and I had a lot of boxes and trash, naturally. Trash day is on Tuesday and unfortunately I had work engagements which lead me to being unable to put my trash out. With much appreciation Romeo came by and took it all out for me! I am feeling great flu for him. I would highly recommend this complex to friends and families.

Me and my husband are going on living here for 2 years, and what can I say this place is amazing!! Maintenance is amazing! nice and patient, when Im home they wait at the door for me to lockup my dog and then they talk to them when they are working to keep my dog clam. Every time we call to request a service it takes less than 1 hour for them to come and see the problem. ladys at desks are amazing as well they are all willing to help you out, especially the manager. I lived here when I was stationed at NOB and miss the convince of being right outside the gate. I felt comfortable ever since the walk threw with Amelia and felt she personally cared about our satisfaction with the place as a whole. Now that I am stationed at Oceana I wish I would have stayed and made the commute as the apartments I am currently live in lack the attention I received at Merrimack.

Merrimack Landing has such a great staff that can keep there cool in any situation. Here at Merrimack Landing they try and fix any problems you may have. We hate to see Nikita leave it would be great if you could find away to keep her at the Norfolk location. The Chemistry of the staff is amazing.

Through all the pressure of preparing my apartment for the arrival of my newborn it slipped my mind to change the air filter. I called for maintenance on my way home from the hospital and upon my arrival Dwayne (D.J) met me at my door. He opened and held the door for me to enter. He was as quiet as a mouse while working to ensure he didnt wake the baby. At the end of the job he cleaned up n congratulated me on becoming a mom. After a long stressful two days Dwayne really gave me a peace of mind. Hes a great asset to the Merrimack team.

So first off, if you love parking on the street then this is the place for you. The streets are confining, nearly impossible to drive through in the middle of the night. The “renovated” units are horrid. My cat licked through the dry wall in places. Based on that it looked like they went with cheapest material possible for the apartments. And finally my wonderful wonderful neighbor not only dealt drugs but she also smoked. Every night my wife would leave for work she would complain about how strong the stench of weed was outside. Not to mention the amount of times I the police had been over the neighbors house. So if any that helps, do not move here. Do yourself a favor and avoid it. I certainly wish I had.

Merrimack Landing is so beautiful!!! The grounds are well maintain and the staff is so nice. Every Morning I see the young lady Tina she smiles and waves. Im happy to be in a nice calm environment.

If you like black mold, then youll love these apartments. Every unit I lived in had this, even those that were upgraded. Lots of crime in the area as well.

They made moving in extremely easy and Amelia helped so much trying to get everything organized in order to move in by the weekend! Nancy made time for us on saturday to come in and they both were incredibly helpful and amazing!!

I loved the convenient location of Merrimack Landing and was pleased to learn that all of the apartments were recently updated. Jackie was super friendly, answered all of my questions, and was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.

I have been living in the renovated apartment for about 7 months now and have had way more problems with this apartment then the non renovated apartment. My water bill is never consistent I pay a bill like I have a wash machine air from outside comes Thur the outlet by the door. Maintenance is great but some of the people in the office are not helpful you can call ask a question and they don’t get back with you have call them I’m tired of them saying it’s big property to me it’s not I work on a college campus and we have less employees working in my section and we take care of 10 building with each one haveing over a 100 apartment and do more. when it snows they don’t take care of walk ways we have a total of 7 people that take care of snow removal in our area on campus which includes a bigger area then Merrimack landing and Accomplish more then they do. They read these comments and still will not improve anything.

DJ is an EXCELLENT! And I mean EXCELLENT grounds keeper😊. He’s very kind and always and always greets me with a smile and also reliable, one day I was overwhelmed with groceries and he helped carry them all into my home which was a blessing because I’d just sprained my ankle.
