Ive always had great service with Prairie. I love that they come so quickly. I have roadside assistance with my auto insurance. I waiting Almost 2 hours for them to come. Prairie Land Towing is about the most unscrupulous bunch of rip off artists in the towing business, and thats saying a lot. My motorcycle was involved in an accident on the highway and I gave them express directions to take it to am address. The tow truck driver took it to their impound lot instead and they charged me excessive storage fees ON TOP of the tow charge of $260, totaling almost $1K. Do not trust them or use them.

I had a very negative experience with Prairie Land Towing.This last winter I got two tows from them in a row. The first one was contracted through the state to get me off the highway and the second was to get my car home from one of their own trucks. Unfortunately, the way my car was towed by their second truck through the snow the whole front section of my car was nearly pulled off. (The car was facing backwards during the tow and the front air dam acted like a shovel pulling snow into the front of the car.)I had a lot of back and forth with them, which at one point resulted in their rep saying they were responsible then later involved back tracking. Basically, they acted like it was impossible that they did they damage to my car, which was directly related to the tow. (The only way the damage could have resulted the way they thought it did was if I had driven down the highway backwards for a good while.)I ended up having to eat the deductible for their mistake. If you must use them take a lot of pictures before and after, and only let your car be towed on a flat bed truck.Maybe theyre fine to deal with if you dont have a problem, but if you do its a huge hassle and they act like youre making something up. Im never having them touch another vehicle of mine again.

It was a long wait so we did a blind pick up. Our driver called once he was on location and told us the eta of the car. He was the nicest guy ever too. The prices were reasonable. I highly recommend.

Im a AAA Member and has been since 2004,but never had a bad experience until Saturday June 25, 2016 when I waited almost 2hrs. Just to be told that the tow company had to accommodate the police call first.I was so outraged with the dispatcher at this company, stated his name was (Wil ) who continued to give false info to me, then later cancelled the tow without my knowledge until I called back to AAA who tried to accommodate me by trying to get another tow company to come out which would have taken another hour. My advice to anyone dealing with this towing company is try and find a more reliable, competent, and professional company.

Drivers here are great! My car broke down on a Friday night, and the service center that AAA directed us to was closed on Saturday. The driver didnt leave me there and towed my car to one that was open, and my car got fixed the next day at a very reasonable price! The driver was also very personal and interesting to talk to. I usually never leave reviews for anything- so when I do I mean it! Prairie Land Towing came to my aid after calling AAA for the second time in one day. I am not car savvy at all, I was clearly upset and felt confused as what to do. To my aid came a guy named Joaquin- who was nothing but helpful and polite the entire time. They got there quick, but when they got there they tried to drag my car on to a flat bed when the tire wasnt attached because the ball joint had broken. by attempting to drag my car on to a flat bed they turned a bad situation into a worse one y doing body damage, and ruing what was not broken yet on my suspension. they turned about 800 dollars worth of work into around $2500 to $3000 worth of work. probably the single worst towing experience of my life. they then said that this damage was to be expected during the towing process. the could have just used the wheel lift from the beginning and avoided all of the damage that they unnecessarily caused to my car.

Whoever was driving tow truck 5217 today 6/6/18 was unprofessional. I literally watched him taunt people by the court house as he was looking for cars to tow. I understand its his job to tow cars but to taunt people, and laugh out loud and make a scene in front of a crowd was ridiculous. Although it was not my car he was gonna tow... I felt horrible for the people he was hawking. PLT maybe you should reconsider the people you choose to hire.

I was stranded in a busy intersection in the sweltering heat and they really came through for my family. Lamonte was extremely effective as well as so kind. Dont bother calling they wont come. I was stuck on the side of the highway, and I called Prarie Land Towing. I dont live in the area, so I needed to be towed back to Chilton. I wanted to make that clear just in case there was any problem with driving so far. The person I talked to assured me that it wasnt a problem and they would have someone out to help me in about half an hour and they would call to let me know they were on their way. The half an hour passed, it was okay with me because I figured they were busy. I finally got a call an hour and 45 minutes later telling me that they werent coming at all. Seriously do yourself a favor and call someone else!

Worst service I ever received.I scheduled a towing in advance in order to avoid the delay. We set up for 10am.They didnt arrive by 1pm and didnt call to update. When I called they said they have more urgent calls and they wont be able to make it the next hours.Waisted my day!

Were scheduled to come tow me out this morning and I waited in my car for 2 hours and when they didnt show up, AARP called me back and they said that Prairie Lane CANCELLED MY TOW but they never called me to let me know and never called AARP. So, Im still stuck in the snow and now have to wait at least another 90 minutes for someone else to come get me.

I just wanted everyone to know about the great service I had 8-4-14 from PLT. I have a 3 year old at home and a six month old so you know my attention is always needed. Absolutely the worst Towing experience ever. Had them routed through AAA and had an hour delay because of some city work that they had to do. To make this slap in the face worse the company was two blocks away from my vehicle and I was told that they were loading the truck and they will be there in 5 mins the tow truck came out and rode right pass me i flagged them down thinking that they were lost and they told me they werent in route for me they had police work to do and kept going. I dont care if Im stranded for hours i will never use this tow company ever and wouldnt wish their service on my worst enemy

The towing is overpriced ($130 to go less than 2 miles) but thats not even the problem, I could have been ok with that. The problem is that when my ball joint broke (the wheel was on its side, which is the reason for the tow), the driver tried to winch/pull the car onto the flatbed, the tire then moved and proceeded to crush the fender of the car and bending the strut (this happened at a gas station and is all on video camera as well). Once that happened, the driver assured that the company would contact us within 24-hours and pay for the damage. Only then did he decide to tow via wheel lift instead of pulling it onto the flatbed. Pulling a car up onto a flatbed when the tire is laying flat on the ground just doesnt make any sense and he should have wheel lifted from the beginning. If that is not bad enough, the company didnt contact us in 24-hours, so we contacted them. It took 2-days for the manager to get back with us to tell us that they are NOT going to cover the damaged they caused (he was also very rude and got loud with me when I challenged what he was saying)! So, I now had to file a claim with my insurance, which will be even more costly for the company than just fixing the damage they caused because they will pay for the rental car that is covered by my insurance as well.
