I did the skip the line option. It was simple, in advance, had 6 kids and 1 adult with me and was able to just walk into the parking lot, pick a car and go.Return was just as simple. Pulled up to where they directed, while getting everyone organized the guy walked around the car. When I was all together, I said, what do you need, he said nothing, youre all good to go, have a great day.Was that simple. Loved it. Thank you.

Started great, then seemed pretty disastrous, then ended well.Getting my car was initally a breeze compared to other experiences at the Miami Rental Car Center (Thrifty, thanks for taking several hours of my life away), but when we went to leave the garage, the gate attendant wouldnt let us leave because the card used to pay for the car wasnt in the drivers name. This was something the website should have checked for but probably still doesnt.Nick, the manager, was super helpful and understanding and turned a horrible experience into something tolerable. Car was great, check out was great, everything else was fine. If I have to rent from the Miami Airport Rental Car Center again, it will be Alamo.

Terrible company! Used Covid as an excuse to lay-off over 85% of staff to save money. 0 Star company got rid of tenured veterans after buying out union. Now there are more people in line with only limited dirty cars! STAY FAR AWAY!

My husband and I rented a neon yellow Ford Mustang convertible for our honeymoon. The Alamo employee at check in was extremely nice and friendly! We had no issues with Alamo and would use them again in the future!

By far the best and easiest rental transaction weve ever had. The location is conveniently located by the airport train. When we arrived, we just showed our paperwork and the staff directed us to an entire section of vehicles we could choose from, that matched our rental choice, so there was no wondering if they actually had a car for us (which has happened other places). We just walked over and chose our car put our things in it and started up the car and drove to the exit. At the exit they scanned a barcode in the window to register which car we chose and we were out of there and on our way in about 5 minutes total from arrival to exit. It was by far the quickest easiest rental transaction ever and the minivan we rented was very nice. Excellent customer service in reservations, on the phone and at the car as well. I will most definitely rent from them again.

Great experience with Alamo. They had the best rate for a week with needing to return to a different airport. When our flights were canceled and we had to return to the original airport, they made the change for us easily. We needed to extend our trip and they also saved us money by renting/returning to the same location. Thank you!

The process to pick up the car was incredibly smooth and efficient. I was in and out in a matter of minutes. This was very unusual in a good way.I was disappointed in our mode that when I extended my car rental for one day the charge was way more than one additional day. Seems like they got you and can charge whatever they want. In a time when people aren’t traveling as much., Would’ve been nice for them to not charge so much

Terrible rental!!! my car broke down 5 hours away from home, i ended up stranded at a random gas station for almost 1 hour waiting on roadside assistance only to call him and phone is off and then contacting roadside assistance again (i asked for a supervisor and was never able to speak to one) and then awaiting ANOTHER hour for the next roadside assistance to just arrive pass me cables to jump start my car, stranded 2 hours just to get home at 4am in the morning, and then only to do it again the next morning, it dint turn on at all had to wait on roadside assistance AGAIN and ruined my plans to go to sea world that next day,also returning the vehicle on the last check out day The personnel was very rude to me regarding my asking for lost and found, it was an african american man in the 1st floor, where they assign the vehicle to you, i was returning my vehicle and he gave me a terrible look yelled and said go online, not even bothering to be polite nor move a finger, nor say where…. I was helped by Gina and she was the most polite person there, she helped ease my situation as much as possible, althought it dosent fix the fact that all i did was stress in a vacation that should have been stress free. I cannot be refunded for seaworld tickets for that day so i was just furiously upset. Never renting again with alamo. THIS RENTAL IS TRASH AND SO IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Great experience...will definitely use Alamo again. The start was a little rocky...we waited for our car a little longer than we had hoped and missed our initial dinner reservations in Miami (possibly a staffing shortage?) but we got a fantastically clean, brand new car when it was our turn. The return process was fast and easy. Employees were super nice and helpful. Well definitely use Alamo again and again.

After a delayed flight we were stuck at the Miami airport with no car as our previous reservation with an off site company (not Alamo) turned out to be a scam. At 10pm on a Friday the staff at Alamo were fantastic, friendly and engaging. We got our car within 15 minutes. Car was clean and well equipped. Check in took about 5-10 minutes with another friendly and engaging employee. Would definitely recommend Alamo.

When I returned the car, the person that received the car was not friendly and he charged me for gas when the gas was right on full (no extra, no less) and also the daily rate was more than what I got it for. I reached out to Alamo and Im still waiting for an answer. I suggest to always ask for a receipt at the end and double check all the charges with your original reservation.

Did a reservation for my car. Prior to making the reservation I called the airport (Miami international) and ask to speak to a manger, to make sure I was able to use my debit card (chime) to rent the car and asked was it a deposit. She told me NO deposit is required and I can use my debit card (chime) I asked her several times to be sure so I would not have issues to get my car. So I get to the airport at 12:45-1am that’s when I suppose to pick up my rental... to be told I can’t get the car with my chime card. Mind you he swiped it first but I disable my card.. so I said can you hold up and let me enable it. Prior to that he had a MAJOR ATTITUDE because I didn’t wanna purchase their insurance. He was very nasty with me and a few others who was there to pick up their car. I rented with Alamo before with the same card... I WILL NEVER RENT FROM ALAMO AND I WILL MAKE SURE MY BUSINESS PARTNERS, FAMILY OR FRIENDS WILL NO LONGER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! DISCRIMINATION AT ITS FINEST!!!

I sincerely thought that this would be more difficult and tedious...surprise, it was not. I went to the counter, got the usual paperwork, then headed to the lot. I picked the van. Returning it was a breeze and quick. Thank you. My time is valuable.

Usually I am an Alamo fan. But there was a complication this time. The first rental did not have all features I paid for. So I brought it in for an exchange. Due to Alamo staff not providing a secure parking space for luggage transfer, my laptop was apparently stolen, which of course wasnt noticed until that evening. This devastatingly impacted my trip, not to mention the cost which exceeds $2500.In order to confirm that the HP computer was not accidentally picked up by Alamo staff, I needed to navigate the Alamo lost and found process which took over 20 very long frustrating phone calls and just about ruined any chance to rescue my trip. Of course I will hold Alamo responsible, continuing and multiplying the impact of these failures on Alamos part. But there is no way to be properly compensated for such a loss.Perhaps this is typical industry practice but I have always held Alamo to a better standard. Thank you for this opportunity to share my story with other customers who may not be willing to endure such an episode. I dont know what visibility my review will obtain so I will cross-post this in social media.

Used airport kiosk to verify on-line rental. Process went smoothly and quickly. As usual, Alamo was the best value for our dollar. Car was clean and very nice. Return, even though at a different airport, was nearly effortless. We will be using Alamo again.

I have used Alamo for the last 15 years, and only once have I had ....an issue, which was immediately taken care of, on the spot, ( I was given a free upgrade to nicer vehicle)! I cannot say enough good things about the staff here, always friendly and smiling, and we will see them again soon, in October, Lord willing! see you soon!

This is the second time we used Alamo in 4 months. Both experiences were great. The first time we out of Orlando airport the end of December 2020. We did not have to wait on any lines, we literally went in the row we chose, which was mini van, picked the one we wanted, loaded the car and left. So easy! The second time was the end of April 2021 out of Miami. This time, we had to use a kiosk to get our forms printed out ( very easy ) then we went to the Alamo area, picked out our Ford Expedition, loaded it up and left. Fast, easy, painless. Also, the drop off process was easy. They look over the car quickly, give you a receipt and you leave. I absolutely recommend Alamo. I will never use another car rental company.

We had a great experience renting a Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle was clean, smelled good, and full of gas when we picked it up. We used the kiosk at the Miami airport to self check out a vehicle. 4/5 because the left blinker and adaptive cruise control had issues, which was surprising for a vehicle with 8,000 miles. We would use Alamo again.

While the minivan we rented was fine and in a reasonable condition, the wait at the Alamo desk was almost an hour after we landed at Miami airport. This was way longer than we had expected, especially that we had a reservation. Two Alamo desk clerks did an Ok job moving people around, but they were simply overwhelmed by the number of people standing in the line. When I looked at the other rental agencies around us, they were much better staffed and their customers were moving a lot quicker than Alamos. Not sure if this was bad planning or what, but Ill definitely consider other options before renting again from Alamo, at least at the Miami airport.

Made an online reservation 2-3 days before my trip through Kayak/ Priceline. Wait time at Alamo was about 45 minutes with only 2 desk clerks, but the other companies’ lines were easily twice as long. Desk clerk was friendly enough. Representative who gave us the car was very helpful with questions we had. Car was pretty new with less than 14k miles on it, very clean and in excellent condition. Only found a previous renter’s papers in the glove compartment. Easy drop off process. Paid a heftier price but would rent from them again.

Arrived at the counter met with a very rude counter representative to start, rented a my vehicle and to my surprise car was full of black ants. Went to the keys with family from out of town and it was embarrassing to have them complain about ants walking all over them SMH. Returned the vehicle and let the return agent know when he asked how my experience went and he have me a $30 credit off my rental and i was on my way. I give him credit for trying but road trip was ruined with the bad experience to be honest.

Alamo self service kiosk doesnt work. Dont waste your time use them. Go straight to the counter line. Also, dont waste your time in pre-ordering your rental car through the APP. You will need to go to the counter anyway and repeat everything you did previously on the web. It is ridiculous.

In my case, everything was nice, smooth. I prepaid for a luxury suv, which is what i receieved. Audi q5. It was pretty clean. Some sticky spots and a few pieces of trash in the door bin, but nothing that would really create us discomfort. When dropped off, everything went smooth aswell. They checked the car quickly, checked for the gas tank to be full. Thank you for the bussiness

We decided to try Alamo car rental to see for ourselves the service and if this can be a future options for our upcoming business trips, so far its Ok, took way to long at rental in Miami center(to slow) the process picking up the car little confusing due to they never tell you what car you will be driving, they don’t offer the option for an upgrade, pre-paid fuel, tolls, nothing, you have to go with what ever car they give you like it or not, the lady dispatching cars and others are so miserable, not smiling, not interacting, they didn’t check car, didn’t say anything, car is full car is this car is that nothing, also little pricey, getting out of the airport another confusing situation and long wait, We have no clue why the person at boot have to check everything like your are renting the car again and when we ask for his name Jose he said management doesn’t want to hire no more people to help with the dispatch process, they prefer make money first over customer satisfaction, need to rate you 2 stars and post a review in Tripadvisor in order for you to read and change this issuesfor better service provided

Alamo has Started charging their local customers in South Florida a $400 deposit plus the price of the rental. This is not fair at all. I guess this is to accommodate incoming flights and tourists the chance of renting cars. I thought this was what making reservations are for. Alamo you can’t save the world but you should take care of ALL customers.

I had originally reserved a nicer vehicle for my vacation. When I get there to pick it up and pay they didn’t take debit card they could only take one form of payment. I couldn’t get the vehicle I originally wanted and ended up paying more for a vehicle that wasn’t even the high end. I felt they should have honored the original pricing.

Absolutely terrible experience. The first representative was rude and aggressive and told us we couldn’t pick up a car and would need to wait four hours despite having an online confirmation, and refused to take the confirmation number to look up the reservation. Had to call the 1-800 number to force them to look up the reservation, and the car was there all along. Then, the rep repeatedly could not read the drivers license and we had to read it out to her, which she misspelled and then had to call a manager to correct multiple times. Once we finally got the car, the gas was not even full.

Id give it zero stars if I could. This place is a joke. Arrived in Miami at 1AM, and there was a line of about 50 people at Alamo. The machines were all out, and there was one lone man at the counter, taking 10-15 min per customer. Standing in line for 3 HR to pick up a car. Horrible company. Dont use them.

I did the special pay now deal and figure out what car you need when you get there. Thats to risky...I have 6 people with me so I needed a larger car and the attendant was like I only have mid size cars...and I was like the deal said Ill get a car the fits my needs and 6 people cant fit in a mid size car. So eventually he told me to choose from those 10-15 seat white vans in the back which I was a little scared to driving because there kind of long but I made it work. But that deal does not allow you to secure the car size you need which makes the deal pointless if you need a bigger size car even though you prepaid to secure your reservation which is wack. And there was no fast lane so you had to wait in line which is annoying. I give 3 stars because I did reserve at an airport. Airport locations never have good service and but always charge higher prices. Thats shameful but corporate doesnt care.

My freshman history professor left this comment on my first paper in college with the grade of D- - (yes, a D minus minus) “...I hope this GENEROUS (underlined) grade coveys the message”.I hope whenever my next “Alamo Insiders” experience happens, it goes better than my first. After booking several days in advance and arrived with 30 minutes of my scheduled time (I think I put 9:30pm but I arrived closer to 10:00pm), I was told to have a seat on sidewalk with approximately 20 others people waiting and another 15 or so in line waiting to see an agent (apparently having no clue what they’re in for). I had to make a video of the scene (which I still have saved on my phone) to show an agent at the counter and ask to speak to a manager as this was nothing like my email confirmation described as pick a vehicle in your class and provide the barcode to the agent at the exit booth to complete your paperwork.

We regret tremendously having used Alamo Rent A Car. Price line should not engage in business with Alamo Rent a Car. Upon our arrival at the Punta Cana Alamo Office they advised us plain and simple that they did not have a car available and that they had no obligation to provide a car, The Alamo associates pointed us to Eurcar rent a car where we could rent a car for $240 dollars a price increase of 100 dollars. Alamo Rent a car is not a reliable company and Price Line must revise any business association with Alamo. I will no longer use Price Line for any of my bookings.

I had the most amazing experience with my car rental... I rented a Van paid in advance so I didnt even have to go to a kiosk and went strait to get the vehicle and I got a new van it was barely used it still had new car smell... it was great and I loved it. returning the car was super easy, definitely happy with Alamo will be renting cars from this place in the future.

I always rent from Alamo when traveling. I rented out of MIA & the car I rented was fine until I got a notification on the dash stating the vehicle was overheating. I took it back to the airport & they took care of me. They swapped the car & even gave me an upgrade. Thank you Alamo.

Did reservation 3 days ahead of rental date and used the „skip the line“. Did not work out and explanation of clerk was that I should have booked earlier. As I received an Email confirmation with confirmation number and code to skip the line I asked why do I receive an Email if the reservation is not confirmed. Answer was... next time you might want to call for reservation. Clerk was nice so issue with that but for sure Alamo will not be my first choice next time. Car was not in a very good condition. Front hood was open and needed to stop on the highway to close it. Oil and service was overdue and light were popping up. Above 65mph car was wobbling... why didn’t I bring it back? Our time schedule was very tight and wanted to avoid another „useless „ confirmation.

I prebooked and paid for a rental car. It took me an hour to pick up the car. When we received the car the windows were rolled down. As we get on to the interstate, there was a vibration as we got up to the speed limit. The longer we drove the vibration decreased. The next day we get in the vehicle, and the smoke smell was horrible. I have rented a vehicle in the past from Alamo and had much better experience. Unfortunately this one was not.

I consistently rent cars from Alamo and many of Alamos competitors, such as Silvercar, Sixt, etc. I must say, my most recent experience at Miamis airport tops all.An employee by the name of Mary, under Olivers management assisted me throughout the experience.There was a huge line at Alamo upon my arrival, however Mary showed multiple clients and I how swift and easy it was to check out, using the Kiosk machine. She handled multiple inquiries diligently and demonstrated professionalism. She directed me to the elevators in order to pick the car of my choosing. Another employee, directed me to the Chevrolet Tahoe I rented. I attempted to use the windshield wipers upon leaving the rental area, however they did not work. Either the machine pump did not distribute or there was no fluid. Upon my return, Mary (Alamo Employee) noticed that I returned and assisted with providing a new car. In this uncomfortable situation, another family took the new Tahoe that was intended for my family. At which, Mary had to request another Tahoe. It so happened to be the last Tahoe available, which in turn resulted in being upgraded to a premium. Marys exceptional service is the main point of this review. Ive been upgraded a bunch of times before, but it was mainly the service and the feeling of being taken care of, is the reason why my next rental would be Alamo. Especially in Miami...

Me and my husband came to rent a car and we were not aware that we had to put down a deposit on top of the rental fee because we are Florida resident. I was told a 30 minute wait for pickup but ended up waiting over 80 minutes, vehicles are not bought out as first come first served, people who showed up after me left earlier than i did. After about a 40 minute wait they offered me a van since those are plentiful from what i was seeing, i dont need a van for two people and i didnt signed up for that. Still didnt get the size vehicle i reserved, but i was can compromise with it. In addition, the tires were overinflated, all of them were 50 psi when the recommended was 33 psi. i was disturbed by the reading and constantly worry if the reading is wrong or the vehicle is really overinflated when it was bought to me. Had to go confirmed the reading at a shop and sure enough, the pressure was high. Just want to rent a vehicle but ended up waiting forever and had to do extra work to make sure I dont have issues on the road.

Great experience with this company. Rented a convertible mustang for 5 days in January. Price is very reasonable. We arrived early in am they had plenty of cars so the guy pointed to the area with all convertibles and said pick whichever we like. I paid in advance online, quick and easy pick up and drop off. Alamo was able to provide a clean car that fit my exact needs. I rented a convertible in Miami, because why not- there was one convertible readily available (a Buick), and another that needed to be cleaned which they suggested I wait for, and Im glad I did. I was surprised to see associate hold open the door to the Mustang convertible I would be driving. Great experience, and I felt very safe with all of the COVID protocols they had in place. Thank you

My experience with Alamo car rental was HORRIBLE!! There is a man who worked there named Karal who was unbelievably rude to me. I was on a tight time schedule so at the last minute I switched my car rental from Budget to Alamo. I wasn’t aware that I couldn’t use my bank card as a card on file or deposit which was fine because I have credit cards. I just had to transfer the funds. The manner in which this man handled me was beyond rude. I asked him could he wait 2 seconds while I just made the payment because the service was horrible in this area. He asked me to move to the side which wasn’t an issue but he was extremely rude about it. I was done in 2 seconds like I said I would be and I went to come back over like he said I could . He cut me off rudely said I had to wait when I already waited in line took another customer before me and began arguing with me he then threatened to make me get back in the line which was extremely long. If I didn’t treat him with respect the situation could have escalated because he was extremely disrespectful. I think Covid has allowed a lot of people to be unnecessarily rude to customers and they’re allowed to get away with it because they aren’t being properly supervised or corrected and the standard isn’t being set for great customer service

Do not rent from Alamo it’s sad that I’m a single mom an they took my money an now won’t release my funds for 30 days money that I need for bills that are now past due …. They were unable to accept my American Express serve but yet charged my account then I had to use another credit card witch they also charged .. I was told they would release the funds an they nvr did …. Was told I should see the funds in 24hrs nvr did……. I then called back then was told 3-7 business days still no money refunded … Iv never had to deal with such Horrible!!!! Customer service an such unethical behavior an such extreme liars.

I pick up my vehicle on 7/6/21 to leave on vacation on the 7/7/21. The morning of the 7/7/21 I opened the vehicle and found full of ants in the middle seat where I was supposed to seat my grandchildrens (1 and 3 years respectively). I have to rush back to Alamo to exchange the vehicle but almost all vehicle were dirty. I have no choice and pick up any vehicle I found. I realized, during my trip that the windshield wiper fluids reservoir did not had a cap and the fluid for the windshield wipers did not work.I have never experience anything like this from Alamo.

My husband and I were very excited to take our 1st trip to Key West and travel in a convertible. We were so disgusted at the condition and lack of cleanliness of our mustang. The inside was absolutely disgusting. We were so excited when we 1st got to the car that we didnt really pay much attention. One would think that with COVID, and I read on your website that you were making sure that each car was sanitized and clean, that this would not have ever been an issue. One of your associates, after we opted to skip the counter, looked at our agreement and said yes, just go get in any convertible and go! We did and when we arrived at the booth to leave, the associate said we didnt have what we needed and we had to go back to the customer service agent once again. When we went back the agent told us that the booth could have printed what we needed and seemed very annoyed. This was not at all the way anyone would like to start a vacation. Especially when its the 1st one in a while since the pandemic. Needless to say, when taking our next family vacation, we will NOT be choosing Alamo.

Rented a Suburban SUV from Alamo at Miami International Airport. The vehicle was very nice almost new but, the vehicle was very dirty on the inside. With being in a pandemic right now you would think that the SUV would have been cleaned. I rent from Alamo at Miami Airport at least once a month before the pandemic and it was always the same way. I keep coming back because the customer service is good but, the vehicles are very dirty inside. Ill have to rethink renting from here again.

We used the Alamo rental agency at the Miami airport. The option to sign up in advance and just go directly to the car isle is great. Our car was great and we had no problems with its performance. My grievance is with the company itself. I had pre paid for this rental via credit card rewards points. After returning the car they charged the whole fee to my credit card. I am still fighting to get my refund. I had to reach out to the rewards company who is still trying to get my refund and going round and round with their corporate office. Not sure I will rent with them again after all of this.

The woman working at the desks has no customer service training, nasty attitude and unwilling to help and so is the manager. I had reserved in advanced but as soon as I was treated unfairly, I asked to speak with the manager on duty instead of elevating things but she proceeded to throw my ID on the desk. She told me if I wanted to speak with the manager, I could walk down but she wasn’t calling him. I have a whole toddler with me at 8:30pm. I walked to the manager who barely even made eye contact and asked if there was anything else they could do or another car I could book and told me he couldn’t help me and go somewhere else but don’t book with the sister companies because they wouldn’t help me either. I left and went to the next rental place and was in a new 2021 in less than 20 mins for even less than I was willing to spend here. Definitely will not recommend to anyone.

Save your time, spend a little bit more and do business with a reliable company that won’t waste your time.After a long day of traveling with my family IStood in line for an hour with one individual assisting. Had a reservation from when we made our original travel plans.All that effort for them to not provide a service to me and no explanation.Went down to the next competitor (Budget) and they helped me in less than five minutes.

Good Car Rental location. Selection quite OK.. Full size row was not really filled up that night, so I talked to staff and first told me to pick the remaining vehicle but after a while they hooked me up with my preferred fullsize model. Car was really clean and barely 3 months old. Happy with the rental overall.

We had up and down experiences with this company. I first reserved our reservation online. We got to the airport and it was late. A kind Hispanic woman tried to help us at Alamo Rent a Car by having us use the kiosk. We saw that the kiosk had a mistake; it listed my name on both my husbands and my drivers license. We pointed this out to her, she said it did not matter and that it would be okay. Fast forward now. We went downstairs to get our vehicle. This kind lady upgraded us to a minivan for free which was very helpful and kind. We went to leave the garage and this man Jose P was at the booth. He was instantly rude and angry and the opposite of customer friendly. He got angry at us and said we couldnt leave and had to go fix the contract since it had my name on both drivers licenses. My baby was screaming at this time after having had to sit still on a 5 hour flight and going through the airport. We went back to the managers office, Connor. He was very helpful and kind and fixed it for us. We appreciated his kindness and great help. We then tried to leave again, thinking the manager had fixed it. Jose P stopped us again and got angry and rude once again and said it was wrong and slammed the contract down and yelled rudely I guess Ill have to do everything myself, like a toddler throwing a fit. He angrily called the manager and just kept being rude and unhelpful. Neither him or the manager could fix it so they finally let us go, but Jose was so rude and made it a very unpleasant experience. I am thankful for the other employees who were kind and the free upgrade!

Dont even deserve a star! after arriving at Miami Airport on a long flight with my mother-in-law who is undergoing chemotherapy as a result of aggressive cancer i was notified by the Alamo counter in Miami that my reservation would not have an available car and did nothing to help me! they just turned their backs on me! your reservations are useless, I recommend looking for another company that is more serious and really interested in helping customers

My experience with Alamo was horrible! The line at the Alamo desk took forever, I waited an hour and a half. They only had two people working the desks and they were taking their time. The man at the counter was extremely rude to me. He would not honor the price I was given on Priceline and when I asked him “why?” His answer was “ do you still want the car or not?” There was only one car left in the lot, a Chevy spark that was extremely tiny. This was my first experience with Alamo and I will never use this company again.

Overall the experience was fantastic, fast and efficient pickup and drop-off.The only complaint I have is that it looks like they charged me twice for the rental fee. I pre-paid for the rental several weeks before and when I picked up the vehicle they asked for my credit card and they charged it once again I contacted customer service and they stated they are working on resolving the problem.

Horrible service. Long wait time. Company would not honor my payment through Priceline. There was only one, very small car left in the lot that I had to take. I’ve used this company before with absolutely no issues, but this was at the Orlando airport. The Miami airport sucks, and now I will never use this car company again. I had to pay more than double the price of what I paid through Priceline. I am utterly disappointed.

Horrible experience at Alamo of Miami. Made a reservation over a month before travel get to the counter no reservation found then had to input my information numerous time over charged me THEN tried to charge car twice and finally said my card declined (as it did not have $900 mind you rental only $300). Cater to Spanish customers. Get down to where the cars located no cars ready at all. Quick wash and still was filthy. After all that car had mechanical issues reported this same day I got the car. Horrible experience and still two weeks later after being promised a very good discount still no communication from manger and received at measly $40 bucks.

Once I get attended It turns out that the car I rent has almost 40,000 miles + a brake problem + a vibration due to a defect in the bearings + the practically smooth tires.After driving 200 miles and notifying the company, they sent me to a location where they did not have any car and forced me to drive 200 more miles in those conditions and forcing me to transport two minors at risk.it really is a shame in the condition that they rent these vehicles.

The van we had for a week was in great condition. No complaints there. We rented in miami and dropped it off in orlando with no problems.The problem was the pickup in miami at the airport at 1 am. Only one poor Alamo agent was working. His name was Jose and he was great but ovewhelmed by the lack of help. He deserves a raise. We waited one hour and 15 minutes to reach the counter. There was a line of at least 20 other people behind us bearing the same wait time. Only one agent! It was a huge issue with the people. im glad that we had reservations because others without were being turned away.Needs staffing. I noticed Budget had only one agent working that night with equally long lines. Whats up with that?

Absolutely DISGUSTEDI rented a keep wrangler for a few days while in Miami and it had ROACHES IN THE CENTER CONSUL!!!!!LIVE MULTIPLYING ROACHES!!!! I have never been so skeeved out in my life. Called Alamo twice in regulars to this and no one calls back. Never again please don’t use them unless you want a roach problem potentially following you home!!!

I’ve been renting from Alamo for 10+ years, sometimes spending more than 10K with them yearly.They informed me today that they won’t rent me a luxury SUV because I have a Florida drivers license. Apparently it’s a rule. So my family of 6 will have to live with the “Yukon” on our 20 hour journey.I showed them the app where I could in fact rent a luxury SUV. So I asked, “If I rent this vehicle on this app and pay for it, and I show up here to pick it up, you won’t rent it to me?”. Answer, “That is correct”.It is downright discrimination against Florida residents and it is shameful. Will definitely be looking hard at another rental car agency option. Definitely don’t want to continue the relationship with Alamo, and hope others don’t either.

Rented a pickup truck for a business trip. I had to wait 30min for the truck and once i got it they never did a walk around to make sure there was no damage. I walked around and saw some scratches and told them about the damage and i was told they would make a note about that damage. Once i returned the car i was asked about the same scratches. I told the guy they where there when i picked up the car. Now i am being blamed for the same scratches that where there when i rented the car. Now they are doing a investigation and they said if the damage was not reported before im going to held accountable. I don’t believe that to be a right thing to do.

The last two times I’ve rented a Chevy Camaro convertible (or like) at MIA Miami International Airport with “Skip the Counter” reservations and no car was available at the moment. In all fairness to Alamo your customer service representatives were very nice and professional. They did bring me a car within 5-10 minutes and also offered me an upgrade to a non convertible which I declined.The small problem was I was not able to “choose” my vehicle (color etc). Anyway, I like Skip the Counter and will continue to use Alamo. Hopefully there will be more “choice” in the future.

Great Experience using Alamo at the Miami Airport. Using the App we walked right by people lined up at other rental agencies, Alamo lets you check in with their app and walk straight to your car. Car was in excellent shape and clean. Dropping off was just as easy, an attendant greeted us and did a walk around while we grabbed our bags. It was less than 5 minutes from pulling into the garage to boarding the tram. I would highly recommend this Alamo location to anyone.

I rented a luxury sedan while on vacation . To my expectation, I received a very clean bmw which I was happy with . The only problem was the long wait on the line for pickup . I waited over an hour even after having a reservation and the kiosk system being down.Overall is nice and easy process right after that. When choosing the vehicle the attendant allowed me to chose any vehicle from the luxury lane which was a plus on my part

After flying all day with multiple connections, we showed up in the Miami Airport and the line for Alamo was at least a 2 hour wait. They only had two reps working at the desk to service atleast 60 people waiting in line. We ended up using Turo.

As I was exiting the garage the agent asked me to go back to the office b/c there was something wrong with the car. I waited 15 min before they figured out that the car was never “returned” in their system and another 15 so they could do all they need to do to get the car registered to me.I extended the reservation; however, I did not receive anything confirming that was the case. Unfortunately, the car was towed b/c of incorrect parking. In order to get the car back, I need a contract that stated the new return date.I must’ve called the 1-800 number 100 times and no one was able to help because they said the only people that could possibly provide revised documentation was the branch where I picked up the car.To make matters worse, the phone literally rang off the hook at the branch with no one answering. Since I rented from an airport location, it was open 24/7, but no one ever answered.I wasted 2 hours calling and waiting for an email from the branch, to no avail. I finally gave up and took an Uber to the airport to get a printed copy of the paperwork with the new return date.While the branch manager was very helpful, it is beyond me how a national company has no possible way of sending a confirmation email with revised agreement dates.This was a personal stay, but I travel work on a monthly basis and based on this experience, I never rent from Alamo again.

I would like to let you know that our experience last night with Alamo at Miami airport was more than horrible. We were at the counter about 12am with already long line of people and only one service desk open. After receiving confirmation and online check in I was expecting to be in and out process but I was so wrong with this assumption. After about an hour wait in line, the service desk person announce there is “no more cars!!! “So why we have the reservations and online check in completed?? We have two kids waiting with us at midnight just to find out that Alamo can’t accommodate the reservations! The only option offered to us was to wait till the morning (with kids) or till very next car will be return so our reserved option was already not on the table. This is horrible customer service experience and I will make sure not too use Alamo again and let all my friends know about this horrible Alamo experience at Miami airport. Over two weeks pass by and after several emails from CS with promise of regional management contact no one from Alamo management even bother to call us and offer simple apology. Alamo lost my business.

The car I rented was exceptionally clean, but picking it up was a time consuming process. Long walk from the terminal, then get on several walk escalators and then take a MIA Mover tram ride and then long walk from Mover to the rental car center. Only a few agents on duty eventually end up using self help kiosk.

This is for the MIA location only. Ive otherwise only had great experiences with the company. My mother arrived at the airport with her voucher as always to pick up a car. She brought her German drivers license as always and was denied a car. Thankfully, I was able to make a reservation for her quickly with Budget and they took care of her.

Reserved car in Louisville at 530pm. Travel 7 hrs to arrive in Miami at Alamo and be greeted with this. From about 10 ft away the man shouts You reserve car? You reserve car 24 hrs in advance? No? I dont have no car for you! When I angrily replied why the hell werent we told that when we rented the car he said now I know I dont have car for you I was going to help you but not now. Wow! 20 mins later we are leaving the airport with a car from Avis. No thanks Alamo Ill never use you again and I will be sure to share our negative experience
