Had the most amazing experience at this salon today. My 10 year old son got his very long hair cut. Janet was our stylist and she was wonderful. We had a consultation with her yesterday and went over different style options.Got his hair cut today and he even says its the best haircut hes ever had. I highly recommend her and this salon. You will not be disappointed!

Janet is absolutely Amazing!!! She’s been doing this for a long time and she has really mastered it. I have had her cut my hair a few times and I won’t go to anyone else. She is as sweet as they come and really cares about what you want. I highly recommend going to her if you haven’t already. You won’t be disappointed!!!

I wish I met Janet years ago, she is the most caring, experienced, and knowledgeable hair artist I have ever had the privilege of working on my hair. Prior to Janet I went to various Aveda salons that left my hair with different colored bands and lack of gray coverage. Janet provided education and used coloring techniques that balanced my color and corrected the mistakes of past salons. In addition, as all of this doesnt even begin to describe the wonderful hair experiences Ive had with Janet, she found a salon in Mississippi where I am moving and provided the color and technique used to prevent further hair coloring mishaps in my future. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Janet!

I took my daughter to Mia & Max to get her hair cut for homecoming. We were both a little worried about going to a mall hair place, hearing many stories about different salons but it was late and they were one of the few open.Now to our surprise we were greeted by Janet as we walked in. Janet sat us down and discussed different option. After this she spent over a hour washing, cutting and styling. Janet purchased a hair a accessory from her own money and surprised my daughter with a special style incorporating this hair piece that Janet purchased herself. It was an absolutely wonderful experience to say the least. It made a perfect end to our father daughter day.Thank you Janet, your were wonderful, I will be telling everyone about you.

The staff are great and very nice. They have done everything that I asked. Janet is super awesome she has colored amd cut my hair the way I wanted it. Marget has also been super great she styled my hair with curls and made it super cute. I would recommend this place to everyone I know.

I will rate this a three because the good and the bad kind of weight in on each other.The good part is... I love having my hair cut/done by Angela. She has over 20 years of experience cutting hair and I have been going to her for the past 3 years. She knows how to work with my Asian hair - medium thickness, but silky hair. Her technique is not like the other institutional hair stylist. I always get layers and they always come out so nice instead of blocky like with other stylists. She also tells you what products she uses and lets you know what they do. She gives suggestions on how to style, what products work best for your hair, and she works FAST. Im in and out of my appointment in record time with my hair looking fabulous!and now for the bad part of my review: I dont know what it is, but every time I call/walk in to set an appointment, the person (no matter who is at the reception desk) is ALWAYS so rude! Especially when I make a request for Angela as my stylist, they suddenly shut down and try to rush you through your appointment making and then utterly disregarding you. The salon is obviously not busy or anything at this time, but it does make me very upset being talked AT while Im being polite and clear on setting my appointment. It makes me feel like I want to cancel, but I just swallow my anger because good hair comes at a price, I guess. :/

Ive been going to Mia and Maxx for about a year and Janet always does an excellent job. She takes time to make sure she knows what I want and makes the customer experience her top priority. I love my hair and I love going to see Janet at Mia and Maxx!

My stylist was a girl with poofy pink hair and an undercut. I told her I wanted my shaggy hair cut short, but not so short as to show scalp. She set the clippers to number 6 and trimmed the back and sides. After a quick wash, she took scissors to the top and left it several inches longer than the rest of the hair. At the time I thought it looked okay, if not quite what I had asked for, so I deemed it good enough. However, after going home and getting a better look at it, I realized that it was very uneven.So, for the same price I had paid for one visit to this mall salon, I bought a pair of clippers at the store, and had my wife even things out. Now, Im not sure if this was the absolute first time shed ever cut hair, but it was definitely the first time shed ever used clippers. The result? A haircut that was actually even. It looked way better than what the so-called professional at Mia & Maxx had done.If you need a simple, short cut, youd be better off investing in a good pair of clippers than going to Mia & Maxx. And since they couldnt even do a competent job of something that basic, I wouldnt even consider them for anything more complicated.

So Ive been going to this salon for many many years never gone anywhere else. I went today to get a haircut. And left almost crying because I paid 38 with tip to get a cut and style. The amount of hair she cut could fit in the palm of my hand. It looks terrible but I didnt have the nerve to tell them I hated it. But I think she could tell. They never really styled my hair just blew dryed it a little. And this took over an hour. Im not happy and will not be coming back. Ill have to find a new salon. So sad.

Thank you so much Janet! I called early afternoon and was able to get in that same night for a full head color! Janets. Was great at explaining the different dye options and we discussed how often I changed my color and my color history since I had previously had highlights we choose a semi permanent dye so that it would famange the bleached hair which would make it easier to transition back to lighter hair with summer coming up! She walked me through the process before starting, and after we went over my care routine at home. I can honestly say Ive never left a salon more happy than I did today my hair feels healthier than when I came in and thats after dye too! Go see Janet she will not disappoint!

My hair stylist spent an abundance of time helping create a new look for me. She selected a cut and color that suited me well and also made sure the product choices left my hair healthy.

Terrible service I went there to get a perm and color and the stylist (Marilyn) left my hair in terrible conditions I later went with a different stylist to get it fixed and she said that a color and a perm cant be done at the same time so they were totally unprofessional. Also the color that she put in my hair was definetly not visible.

Call before you go!! There was a sign saying back in 30 waited 50mins no one ever showed!!! Kept thinking 5 more. Went on different day/time & same sign!! it would be Freaking nice if u showed exact time U would be back!! Instead of back in 30. BAD MANAGEMENT!!Why dont people think about good customer service!??

It was amazing, best haircut experience ever. The only regret I have is I forgot to get the name/business card of the lady that cut my hair. She was probably in her early 30s maybe late 20s and had like a dark purple hair. Whatever her name is, you can tell she is very experienced and knowledgeable about hair styles and cuts. She let my fiance sit next to me while she cut my hair and actually listened to his input as well as mine, which never happens. I have had a lot of bad experiences when it comes to getting my hair cut I always dread it. I do believe I will be going to this salon again. Getting my hair cut makes me very anxious, but they explained everything to me and was very informative and reassuring.

Very rude staff . I went to their studio once and instead of entertaining my request lady was busy in chitchatting with other and ignoring us.Next day their staff only gave me consultation appointment time and when i called them 30 mins earlier before my appointment to check something and another lady picked and told me that my name is not in her book . Instead of listen to me she hung up on me . She was very rude lady and dont know how to treat customers.

I came here for a year, because the lady that I usually go to is a little out of my way. First, I have kinky curly hair so I called to see if they had a stylist who could tend to my hair needs. They said yes, so I went in to see Marilyn. When I went in the first time she gave me a wash, deep conditioning, trim and flat ironed my hair. A few months later I went in for the same thing, but no style. And everything was fine. This last time I went in 3 months ago for a trim and I did not want a style due to heat damage( my own fault) she leaves my hair curly but then she proceeded to brush out my curls! So I left there with my hair extremely poofy. It honestly looked like I blow dried my hair and didn’t style afterwards. Fast forward to last week, I went to my regular lady for a style before my cousins wedding. She honestly could not believe that I had just gotten a hair cut 3 months prior. The back of my hair was about 5 inches long, and my stylist had to cut off about 2 inches because it was severely damaged. I was so upset because I have seen Marilyn 3 times in this past year for a trim and style, that costs about $50 dollars without tip, and she never trimmed my hair! A total waste of time and my money! I would never recommend someone to her.

My stylist was Lily. I have stick straight hair thats easy to work with. I went in for face framing layers and side swept bangs, but during the initial trimming I realized I did not like her level of skill, so opted to get just a trim. This salon is not lit very well, so it was hard to see what was happening with my hair. While I was there I thought the cut was at least passable, but once I left and found a properly lit area with a good mirror I could see all the problems. There are many scattered small locks of hair a good 2 - 3 inches longer than the rest, like the stylist was not keeping track of what she cut. She also said she did blended layers which amounted to having 2 weird micro layers. Basically the longest hair is less than 1/8 longer than the hair that lays on top of it. It looks really strange, it is not even and makes my hair look ragged. My hair looks worse now than it did before when I went in; its embarrassing.The whole process felt extremely rushed. Clipping was done rapidly with very little checking for length, brushing was done fast and pulled quite a bit. I never have problems with tangles, but this stylist kept getting the comb snarled in my hair. The end result is uneven and has sections that were completely missed. At home my husband trimmed the missed sections to try and make it look better, but theres only so much he can do.Ill have to wait a few months for this to grow out, then Ill gladly spend the money for a real stylist. At $25 I was not expecting anything amazing, but I did think I would get something better than what a random untrained friend could do. Im very unhappy, I will never go back, I do not recommend this place at all and I really wish there was a way to get my money back.

I absolutely love going to Angela! Ive been going to her for about 2 years and have ALWAYS had a perfect cut and eyebrow wax. I moved at the beginning of the year and decided to go to someone closer...HUGE MISTAKE!! I got a butcher cut, and went back to Angela to fix it. She did a great job for what she had to work with. I swore to her that Ill never cheat on her again!And to address some other complaints about unfriendly staff, I have NEVER had anyone treat me rude. Theyre all very friendly...especially Angela and Marilyn!

Horrible had a full color done. The girl missed underneath I had 3 big circles of dark hair.I come to show them and get my $200 back,they said no refund she would fix it for free.I told her hell no you already messed up I am not trusting you again..I will never go or refer anyone

Worst experience in my life. I asked for a v shaped Bob and my stylist buzzed cut my back like a boy ....there was no layers nor softening of the back. Is have to admit that this is by far, the worst experience in hair cuts gone wrong in my and the first time Ive cried.If i could post pictures, if doit.I went back in to get it fixed, and even management was u happy with the haircut. I got my refund, but wouldnt let then do any more touch up on it...like I said, the woman buzzed cut my hair. There is nothing else to do w it. .I was so upset I even thought of a lawsuit. Yeah, its only hair, but my hair takes months to years to grow. Plus, these stylist were professionals......the hair cut I got was of amauture level. Her name is Jeanette. I will never go w her again.

Marilyn was my stylist and never did a full consultionwith me. I got stuck with hair waaay too light. She didnt cut my hair into any style. I had ask multiple time for her cut my hair into bangs. She kept talking to the other stylist about making sure she was done before 6pm. Charged me for both highlights and full color when what I asked for was ombre. So unhappy. I tried going to the west location to get it fixed. No go. Be honest people.Update: When I asked for corporates #, I was told to go online. The website I was directed to had no # just a survey. Three days later, I got a VM asking that I call back. There was no answer so I never got my $ back. This is after waiting 1.5 hours at the west location( after booking the appoiment) to get my hair fixed and to get a refund on the over charge. I walked out.I still look like Farrah Faucet with bleached ends and feathered layers a la 70s throw back. If you want that, and to pay over $200 for it, this is the place for you!

Worst haircut ever. I asked for the top to be about 3.5 inches and the back a little shorter. There is some hair on top that is almost 3 inches. The back is barely one inch. It will be 4-5 months before I will need another haircut and it wont be at this place.
