Went here with my mom and little sister for a shellac manicure and my sister got a mani-pedi. There was only one person there on that day but she was proffesional and took her time! First of all, my sisters pedicure went great and the technician was very friendly, warm and proffesional. My sisters manicure and pedicure looked great and she had fun! My mom and I just got a manicure and they both look great! The manager/technician very nicely cleaned up my nails and gave me very helpful advice to manage them! She was just super kind and outgoing to us all and we would definitely come here again. Very well priced! Plus, theres a super cute little yorkshire terrier we got to play with while waiting!

Since the pandemic, I have decided to support small business owners. I have seen Sarah for over a year for my haircuts. She does a fantastic job. I receive compliments after Sarah has given me one of her famed haircuts. You cannot go wrong with using her. She gets you bang for your buck....

Angelina had been doing my hair extensions for the past 9 years! She is always on time, super accommodating to my requests. We have taken them out and trimmed my hair before putting them back in! I use the extensions for length and thickness due to not having a lot of hair! I have and will continue to recommend Rock n Glam Salon to anyone asking about extensions!

I would of gave a no star if it was a option. Worst experience ever! And am now paying the price because if it. I was getting extensions for my upcoming wedding. The price was good but thats when I should of done more research because you get what you pay for as some people would say, but at a price is not ok. Long story short was I went to have them looked at because they didnt seem right, (a week after her putting the in) by a high end salon. Their exact words after looking at them was she had to have learned her technique off a you tube video. It was terrible. When I went back to complain and ask to have them taken out and get my money back she would only give me back 1/2 my $$$. When she took them out she was very aggressive. She was obviously upset and took that out on me. Very poor customer service. I felt very uncomfortable. When I left there I was running my fingers through my hair and it was coming out in handfuls!!!! This was only having them in for a week. If I had had them in longer it would have been bad. Not only did I lose $, I lost a lot of hair, and in top of that when she was blending the extensions she cut my original hair in the front leaving a hot disaster. I had to go really short to even out what she had done. All in all worst experience ever. Please do research, by far no professional with hair, or customer service.

By far the best salon in Madison. I went there to fix a botched color job and left completely happy! Friendly professional staff and Angels the owner does an amazing job. She is very friendly and highly skilled. Her pricing is reasonable as well. Definitely recommend!

I dont usually post reviews about places but after talking to some family and friends I started to think I should. I only give this place a 2 star because right when I walked in to the salon I felt super uncomfortable. The women behind the desk were not very welcoming and did not even smile and barley greeted me as I walked in to the door. Also after showing them my nails which had gel tips on they told me theyre going to be charging me an extra $20 to just remove them.. Ive been to many nail salons and never have been charged to remove gel tips.. I dont know if thats just a thing for smaller salons or what but when I called to make the appointment a heads up about that wouldve been nice. So as she was removing my gel tips she didnt even remove them completely. She used the drill to file them down as much as she could to make them level with my actual nail..when she started to get close to my actual nail she used a hand filed so she wouldnt end up burning my nail but where as in the past at other salons they would use the cuticle cutter and try to cut as much of the acrylic off as they can and then soak my nails in nail police remover and after a bit go in with the drill file which eventually the remaining pieces just chip right off.. Ive never experienced such a tip removal before (which wasnt even completely removed). So she ended up painting my nail with acrylic still remaining on my nails which you can see in the photos where my real nail is and the fake nail is under the polish.. when we got to the pedicure she did fine on the filing down and paint job but there was a short massage of the foot but no massaging of the calves like most salons do. Also didnt care to remove any calluses. My friend who went with me also did not enjoy the service she got and the women doing her feet seemed like she didnt know what she was doing. the women dug in her toe where it has been sore for a few days now. at the end of the appointment I took a closer look and noticed that she missed a good amount on my thumb nail...then a few days later the paint is already wanting to peel off my nail.... I dont know if its because we have never been there before or if its because we used a groupon but I dont really know what word to use to describe my experience it was just strange.... I love the color I got but I wont be going there again.

For the last few years my wife and I have always struggled with getting our son to feel comfortable getting his hair cut.He doesnt like people touching his hair to the point of it being very traumatic for him and being very heart breaking for us.After having SOOO many bad experiences I tried Rock N Glam on a whim and was so happy.Angelina took the time to talk to our son, ask him what his name was, asked him what he wanted to do with his hair, let him touch everything to see it wouldnt hurt him and even told him to hold her hand when he was nervous.They didnt rush the process along. Im a loyal pedicure client and Ill remain one. There are tons of great colors, its a fun atmosphere, and the service quality is awesome!My favorite experience at Rock N Glam is definitely my hair extensions. Angelina is an absolute master artist when it comes to these. Shes been my guide every step of the way, from deciding what length and color to get to keeping them tightened and well maintained (all I have to do is make sure theyre dry and in a messy braid before bed- other than that its no different than having only my own hair). Ive worn the same set of extensions since early November and they still look incredible- super high quality- no one ever knows theyre not my real hair until I tell them. Its so much fun having lots of long hair! Everyone should come get them here!

I got the bead in extensions and absolutely love them!! The hair is so soft and blends very well! She got them in in 20 minutes while other places take forever! Also got them tightened and only took 25 minutes. I recommend this place to anyone!! I have never had any hair come out!! I love this place!!

This was my first trip to Rock n Glam and oh my goodness, what a great experience! Angela did a beautiful job with my headful of highlights and lowlights! I have been here twice. Ive had a brow wax and haircut so far. All of the girls here are amazing!I recently moved into the area, so Ive been looking for new salons to go to. I came for an eyebrow wax back in June. I started talking to Candice about how often I should be waxing my brows , and she said it all depends on the person. I feel like alot of waxing places, they always recommend 3 weeks so that you continue to go in for their services. So I appreciate that she said come in when I felt I need a wax.I got a haircut last week. First of all, Id like to say, it was the first time Ive ever had a stylist point out where my part is and stick to cutting my hair with my part the way I like it. Candice is awesome! there have been countless times in which the stylist has asked me how I like to part my hair p, and completely disregard what I said and proved to give me a middle part. Trust me if I could rock the middle part I would.In stark contrast to a certain salons near by, I live that this salon isnt pushy with products or services. You can tell that they are passionate about what they do and live when tgier clients are happy.

Amazing experience with Candice ! The salon has a great music and ambience. Very clean and excellent color selection. Prices are also very reasonable. I got a regular mani/pedi $25!!!!Candice was very attentive to detail. Lightly cleaned my cuticles and shaped my nails as I requested. She also allowed me to change the nail polish before painting my nails. My sister and I went to have a manicure and pedicure done and the experience was far from what we expected. I told them multiple times I wanted to wait until my sister arrived before we got started but they rushed me into the pedicure chair and got me started before she got there anyway. I quickly learned why - they only had one person doing pedicures. Thats fine but then dont agree to book two at the same time. My sisters pedicure was absolutely terrible - her nails were left with sharp edges and the paint job was sloppy. Same with our nails - far from what was expected from a professional salon. Everything about the experience was rushed. We both were very disappointed.

It amazes me that this place is still even open. I don’t know if I can even put into words the disappointment and disgust I have for the haircuts and the way that this woman handles her bad reviews. I personally got a haircut by the main stylist/owner about two years ago, not only did I leave the salon with wet hair but with the worst haircut I have received or seen in my entire life. I went in asking for a trim and some light face framing and left with a legit mullet with a bowl cut on top. She cut off about 3-5 inches of hair and decided to pull hair all the way forward from the back of my head to cut straight across bangs. The reason that this has come back up is because some one I recently met went in for a haircut and received yet another god awful haircut. If you were to stick your head into a garbage disposal you would get a better haircut then you will get at this Salon. If you plan on going into this salon I would rethink your choice.

Hidden costs and very unprofessional hair cut.The hair cut was not great, she did not understand how to thin hair, but I had low expectations for a $25 cut. However it was NOT $25. Because I wanted to see how the cut looked dry - which is very different than when wet - I was charged an extra $10. I was NOT made aware of this charge when I asked if I could have my hair dried. She didnt even fully dry it, most of my hair was still damp, and she didnt offer to style it. I could get a much better hair cut and overall experience for $35.In addition I had an evening appointment, and it was clear that everything was being done as quickly as possible so they could go home. If they dont want to be there past 7pm, then they shouldnt schedule appointments at that time.

At the last minute some haircuts were needed and the salon made appropriate accommodations for the wedding party, it was an awesome experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for great friendly customer service ! Top notch!

Cost cutters over processed my hair and it was literally falling out in handfuls. I came in and Angelina fixed everything on my head and then treated my step daughter with so much kindness and got her ready for her Christmas program. For a 1w year old she sure got got pampered from her fingernails painted to glitter in her curls. I got a hair cut from Alyssa, I have been getting a hair cut from her for over a year at least before she started here. She is the only person I trust in the Madison area to give me a hair cut that I know I will be happy with. Alyssa is very friendly, and very thorough. The groupon was called Shellac Mani-Pedi, giving the impression they were both shellac. I didn’t want my nails done, so I only scheduled a pedi. I was told that they don’t do shellac pedis. When she went to polish my nails, she asked if I had sandals or if I’d like a disposable pair for $1. I have probably had pedicures at 15 different places, NO ONE charges for disposable sandals. Then they tacked on $10 for removing the polish on my nails, after I only scheduled ONE of the two services offered through the groupon, leaving the other appointment time open for them. It’s too bad for them, because I’d have been back and I had two friends waiting to see how my experience was before booking theirs.UPDATE: This polish chipped after not even ONE full week.

I was looking forward to getting pampered and just enjoy some me time. I got a gift to this salon back in December and needed to use it before it was expired. While trying to set up an appointment, Id write a few sentences but would only get a 2-3 word answer back in response via email, which I thought was kind of weird and unprofessional. BUT, I had things come up and I really appreciated it when they were able to be flexible about rescheduling my appointment. So I end up going and when I walked in, I was not greeted right away, which was kind of unusual for a salon. After standing awkwardly, I was asked what I was there for. I told the lady I had an appointment at 5. She then told me to pick a color. The selection wasnt all that great and it looked kind of sloppy to me. (But ok, whatever.) Once I picked out a color I was told to soak my feet. Before I even got the chance to sit down, the same lady who greeted me told me I needed to pick another color. I didnt understand why because my appointment was for a Shellac Mani-Pedi so from what I understood, I picked a gel polish. She rudely continued to tell me that I needed a regular polish because my coupon that I got off LivingSocial only includes a basic pedi. I was just puzzled...showed her my phone, which states Shellac Mani-Pedi but she was persistent and she rudely told me I needed to read the description. I let it go and looked up the description and there was nothing about the pedi being a basic pedi. Now, this lady was not working on me. She was working on a lady who sat next to me. But she was short with me, snippy, and full of attitude. Especially when it came down to what Im supposed to get done. The lady that was taking care of me was very nice and sweet but I was just shocked at how this other lady could be so rude. So I asked the lady who was taking care of me if that rude lady was the owner. Sadly, she said yes. Only thing I could think of was what poor ownership skills, how can you be an owner and be so unprofessional. I usually dont let things get to me but when that owner lady came back to clean up the chair next to me, I explained to her that there is no description of the pedi being a basic pedi in her description on the app. and that I did not appreciate her attitude. Something so simple that left her with this review and a sour taste in my mouth. I told her that if she had explained it to me nicely and not given me a dirty attitude, I wouldve understood just like anyone else. She mumbled the word sorry but then continued to talk about how she never does gel on toes. The unfortunate thing too is that the lady who was taking care of me told me that this is an error on the LivingSocial app and that shes told her boss to get it corrected blah blah blah...because the owner got into it with another client the week before about the SAME thing! If its an error than be polite, educate your clients and help them to understand. Dont be rude and snippy especially if you are the owner. I literally sat there super uncomfortable! If I wasnt on my phone, my arms were crossed when I shouldve been relaxing and enjoying myself. I will never go to this place ever again and I will never recommend this place to anyone. After my appointment I came here to read reviews and had I read reviews, I wouldve never gone even though it was gifted to me. Worst experience ever. Reading other peoples review, its funny how Rock n Glam replied that they dont discriminate; Im a person of color. While sitting there, this owner continued to check on everyone else in the shop, made sure they were all ok and never once came back to ask how I was doing. Dont false advertise then argue with your clients. Clearly, it was “explained” to me about my pedicure via email.

I came to Rock n Glam for the first time with a groupon for a pedicure and shellac manicure. My first turn off was the color selection. There were LA Splash dollar store nail polishes in the case. After finding a semi respectable polish the pedicure I got, which albeit was relaxing, is chipping not even a few days after. The lady who did my mani pedi was very nice but missed a lot of edges on my nails and was quite harsh. I almost wanted to grab the brush and do it myself. The manager came in reeking of cigarette smoke and proceeded to awkwardly hover making me very uncomfortable. Judging by the reviews on here I think some of the workers are nice but due to poor management and lack of care they probably don’t stay long and are relatively inexperienced. Thankfully they did not charge me any extra and delivered what the groupon stated, but I definitely got what I paid for if not a little less.

Had a great time while getting a pedicure and color, definitely will come back! Thank you!

First time client. My experience was good, my nails are pretty. I will try, again. I had a shellac mani and regular pedi. My technician was very meticulous, though I had no cuticle trim or hand massage. In general, prices are fair, competitive for the area, and all the tools and stations are clean. Friendly atmosphere. I was surprised to be up-charged $10 to have my old shellac soaked off, though I was told that for a follow up visit, that fee is included. To be honest, I think any added charge should be advertised up front. A removal fee penalizes 1st time clients. I was told about gel polish removal fee at another salon, a much harder task, if I wanted to switch to shellac. The charge: $6. They waived it as I was a first time client. I used a Groupon at todays visit to Rock N Glam, as I am looking for a good salon in Madison and trying several.

I had my hair appointment with Angelina yesterday. Called and got in same day! I wasnt there forever & my hair looks great! I always leave happy!

Usually I don’t do this but .. I admit that we were about 10 mins late, when we arrived. They immediately rushed us in asking which color, everything was so quick and rushed. The woman who did my 15 minute pedicure did a good job. I’m pretty sure it was suppose to be more time than that but I mean $30 for a mani and pedi why not.. the paint job on my hands were not cute at all! The edges were not touched. I might as well buy me some shellac polish and do it my self . I’m so perturb. I feel like since they knew we were using Groupon they decided to give us a Groupon worth of work. I cannot. They charged a $1 for the plastic sandals like okay.. this is not the place to get your nails done. Don’t do it! Don’t do it! Run.. maybe if they knew us they would have done it better. Or if we paid full price.. ladies save yourself the headache and let your niece or daughter paint your nails!

DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!!!If I could leave negative stars I would. I went in with a groupon for a cut, deep condition, dry, style and i could choose if I wanted a full color or partial highlights. I told her (the OWNER) I just wanted to touch up my highlights. I showed her a picture of how I wanted it and she said she will just touch up my highlights and then put something in it to make it more vibrant throughout the rest of my head. She DYED the top of my head. I have highlights on the bottom half of my head and the top is just one color. There is also a line of my natural hair across one side of my head because she didnt even bring the color all the way down to where my roots ended. She only put the color on the top of my head and didnt even match it with the rest of my hair. She also cut off about 5 inches. I was crying when I was in there and asked if she could fix it and she said no. She dried my hair partially but did not style it even though the groupon said so. I asked that because I didnt get a style and thats what I paid for if shes taking $$ off. She said no because the Groupon didnt say I was getting a style. She read the groupon to me and I could see exactly what she was reading and she skipped over where it said style. I showed her what I had on my phone and then she tried to tell me I got a blowout and that was the style. MY HAIR WASNT EVEN COMPLETELY DRY!!! So that didnt help her case that she just ran I blow dryer through my hair. She was going to charge me $30 extra for the extra mixes she made. To add to that, she was very sloppy with the mix, completely rushing, got the mix literally all over the place. She got some on my shirt, all over the floor, etc. She probably wouldnt have had to make an extra bowl if she was more careful. After the you didnt style my hair hullabaloo, she said fine 15. I went back to the mirror before I paid just to make sure I still hated it and went back right after I wiped my tears to pay the extra $15 (this was for extra mix so this was in addition to the groupon that I had already purchased). After I came back she told me 30 again and I was like nah, you said 15. She was all sassy with me the minute I said I didnt like it. Im usually the one to let it go and grow out, but this time I was furious.

I would give this place a zero if it was an option. The mani pedi I received was a joke, 2nd graders at a slumber party could have done better. The pedicure didnt have any cuticle trimming, callous treatment, or nail polish. I had to have the polish removed because it was so sloppy, so I asked for just a clear coat, which turned out not to be polish at all but a nail strengthener. The manicure was worse! No soaking, no lotion, and applied on my lap. Yep thats right, dry cut nails ( which hurts if you have tough nails), dry cuticle push back and cut so I still have cuticles, they are just jagged and lopsided now, it looks like my fingers went through a lawn mower. If youre used to having your nails done over a table then you should go somewhere else because they just hover over you and paint your nails in your lap here. Whatever they apply to your feet will leave a residue on your skin about an hour later.

It was okay. Angelica is who did my mani-pedi. She changed the color for my nails and my manicure looked worse than what I walked in with. My toes couldve looked better if I did it myself. She missed a while nail. This place is wayyyyy too small. Im pissed this is not worth my money.

Got our updos done here & felt like we were in rush. Our hair fell apart right away. Had to go somewhere else to get it re done. Make up was okay. The staff could be a little more friendly.

I felt like this salon is lacking. The mani/pedi I had done was of the quality I couldve done myself at home. The shellac peeled off on its own within 5 days off having it done. Also, the Salon Professional was cold and not very welcoming. I know everyone has bad days but she seemed off.

Have gone to this salon for a long time. I have gotten a variety of haircuts and they always do exactly what I describe :) I used to have a scene sideswept haircut, and now I have a girly one. They are also good at coloring hair and even colored my extentions. Have had haircuts from multiple employees.

Most uncomfortable mani/pedi I have ever experienced. Very awkward... the technician did not offer any other services (such as nail art) which I probably would have paid extra for (I was using a groupon for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure). It also was not really a manicure... the technician did not clean my nails or anything... just filed them a little bit and touched up my cuticles. Most places I go put lotion on the hands, some massage on the arms, clean all around the nail including the dirt under the nail, etc. She did my gel/shellac first, then we went over for the pedicure. The pedicure was better and more pedicure-like at least. But since that was regular polish, I was not as thrilled that at the end she kind of just got up and that was the end... not even any time to dry or anything. I just went and paid and was on my way with my wet polish out the door. I ended up scuffing the polish once I got home but since my nails were not clipped or anything, I was actually able to cut it right off. The gel was a good job however and is holding up very well. I cant say I will be back though.

Friendly staff, but seemed very rushed even though I was the only customer in the store at the time. Poor quality. Polish took 3+ hours to dry, so they ended up very smudged. Why isn’t there a drying light? Polish began chipping less than 24 hours after. Will not waste my money here again.

Bought a Groupon for my girlfriend. She had the worst experience and felt really uncomfortable. I do not recommend going here.

The worst pedi/mani Ive ever had. Im sorry to write a bad review but I would not like other people to waste their time and money on something that could have been done better if they would have done it themself. My shellac nails were peeling off the next day! Also made me so upset that my actual nails got filed all the way down to nothing without asking my permission! It takes a lot of work for me to grow them out not for someone to just file them off cause they dont know what they are doing. My paint job on my toenails look like my 6 yr old daughter painted them, seriously. And if u cant accommodate more than 2 people at a time please specify so people dont waste their money.

They only had one pedi station so if a friend goes with you cant get a pedi together. Got the groupon and still had to pay extra they made me pay to take polish off which my toes had very very little on them and then asked my friend a million times if she wanted shallac Mani so she finally said yes but didnt tell her it would be 20.00 extra. Got a french Mani which was 10.00 extra. They should have said there was extra fees and we got there and our stylist were late. Never recommend. They need to say if a service had a extra fee or dont offer it.

Unprofessional. Had mani/pedi. It was awkward. Only 2 pedi chairs which are office chairs. My nails were just okay. They didnt have any sort of drying machines or spray for nails so my nails got messed up right away. Felt like I paid for nothing. Since I was leaving with wet toes I asked if I could just wear the disposable flip flops out, she said Id have to pay $1 to take them. So I said nevermind and took them off and she continued to throw them in the garbage right in front of me. Poor customer service. Employees mustve been fighting and it was super obvious with all the eye rolling going on. We were there til close and as my toes were being finished, my friends were done and waiting patiently. During this time the owner, Angelina, sat in a hair chair basically pouting and waiting for us to leave. They shouldnt have scheduled us so late if they didnt want us to be there that late. It seemed like we were wasting her time. If youre gonna have a bad attitude, go in the other room, not in front of your customers.

Although they accomidated us early, my experience their was horrible. I had an updo done, and the results was...lets say a A BALL OF POOF!!!!! I also had my make up done, which i wasnt satisfied with, my eyes,lips, face made me look like a clown. With the dissapointment in hand, i went to Sephora to have my makeup redone, sephora told me that my make up was well blended. And fixed me up. With my hair i had to re touch the poof they left. Overall i wouldnt go back to this place one bit. Also staff wasnt very friendly... lets say not military friendly!

Awful experience. Nails looked terrible when finished. We had an appointment for 2 people to get mani-pedis and they had one staff member available. The appointment took forever. Not going back and would not recommend.
