I have thick, coarse, wavy hair and it has been a long time since Ive had a haircut that I felt like really understood my hair so I was nervous to try yet another new place. Tanya was absolutely fantastic. She just really got my thick hair and cut it in a way that it remains smooth and manageable (voluminous, but not overwhelmingly so, as it normally is) between appointments. Several people in my life have commented on my hair and I feel like it is the first time in my life I really understand it and am able to manage it. Ive never felt happier with my hair.

THERE IS NO BETTER PLACE!! Mallory is an amazing artist and provides a chić environment. The atmosphere is friendly and fun! My boyfriend is super picky about who he goes to for haircuts and beard trims and he will never go anywhere else now because he loves it so much here. Afton is an artist and listens to exactly what he wants and gives him the best version of it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Everything about this place is excellent! No matter where I go, they never style my hair right and I go home, rewash and style my hair. Not this time! Mallory was awesome and styled my hair exactly how I like it. She introduced me to a new hair product that I bought and I love it. This place is classy and prices are reasonable. You would be crazy not to try this place. Oh, did I mention I have issues with my neck and the wash bowls are super comfy. You dont lean way back and you dont get a shower while your hair is getting wet. Seriously, you gotta try this place.

I saw Stephanie for the first time today, and went in with the request to go from my current bob to a faux hawk pixie cut type style. We had previously done a virtual consult, where she made me feel at ease with the style and asked great questions to understand what I wanted. At the appointment, I showed her pictures of what I liked and what I didnt like, and she gave me exactly what I was hoping for! I love MMC!! Easy to access location downtown, fun interior, and hospitable service. My needs are carefully assessed and advised on. Their talent has met my aesthetic goals for each visit. I’ve also received excellent advice on products that have helped to protect and renew my hair for daily care. I should mention that they do an excellent job minding health and safety. I’ve felt confident during each of my appointments.

I chopped my very long hair back for the first time in 6 years and Jaed made it SO much fun! I was even able to donate for the first time in my life. She made making a change extremely easy, and the color work Ive seen her do on other clients is beyond fantastic. I cant recommend this salon enough!

My review is long overdue, but still had to share how great of an experience I had. I followed Tanya from a previous salon because she just gets my hair! I have very, very thick hair and she just knows what to do to make it feel light and she definitely knows how to cut/style it. Ive also done some coloring with her and completely loved how it came out. This new space is so lovely and modern. I really loved the feel! Cant wait to return!

All around excellent. I visited for a curly (2B/3A) haircut with Mallory, the owner. It was easy to get an appointment on a Saturday, and Mallory was attentive and responsive to what I wanted to do with my hair. In my case Im growing it longer, and she explained what she planned to do before starting, which is really helpful for me to understand and manage the process. She also took extra time to answer very specific questions I had about my fine, dense, low porosity hair. She offered a couple of products without pushing me to buy them and was able to explain why theyre worthwhile. Plus the head massage during shampooing was spectacular. :)Update: Im downgrading to 4 stars because the recommended shampoo I bought is too harsh on my hair, leaving it frizzy even if I oil it before washing. I tried it out for a while even thought it contains sulfates, and I now better appreciate the gentleness my sulfate-free shampoo.

I followed Tanya to this salon because she has always done such a great job with my hair. I am an older woman and my hair is thick and straight. Tanya does a beautiful job with my color and highlights (i always get compliments) and she cuts it so well. It just takes a quick brush and it hangs beautifully. I never have to worry about my hair. (I wish the rest of me looked as good!) This salon is lovely, too. Its airy and there is lots of space. Nice for these times!

She was a great professional and I liked the service as a whole. I am a very demanding Brazilian, in Brazil the beauty area is immense and they prioritize quality and service. I had some bad experiences here and I was looking for a fixed salon, I was very insecure when going because any procedure done and that I didnt like is irreversible.
