I’ve been a long time customer of Capital Tire (20 years). They have always done excellent work. They are honest, and genuinely care about their customers. Even after trying other auto-mechanics, and living outside of Madison, I always return to Capital Tire. They go above and beyond to help me keep my cars in shape, and stay safe on the road. I’m very grateful for their level service, and community focused atmosphere.

Capitol Tire delivers great service at a good price. I have used their services based on my daughters recommendation, since returning to Madison this past December. In addition to excellent service my vehicle is inspected each visit and I receive advice for any additional service that may be needed. The staff is knowledgeable and pleasant, there is an excellent wireless network, and a comfortable waiting area with coffee. All in all, a great place to do business with.

The guys at Capitol Tire are always helpful, friendly, and get repairs finished quickly. I was pleasantly surprised to have repairs listed as options, instead of just tacked on for extra money like some other places! The only downside I could possibly state is that they’re usually booked up a couple weeks into the future… but it’s easy to see why!

Good service and very quick! I had all 4 tires replaced for a decent price. Dropped my car off and picked it up the next day. The mechanic noticed one of my rear light bulbs was out and replaced that for a cheap price as well. I’ll definitely keep Capitol Tire in mind for the next time I need tires replaced.

Everyone is so kind and helpful. I thought my appointment was at 4pm but when I got there I was told I missed it was at 2pm. But they got me in anyway. Not sure how that mistake was made but everything turned out well. I appreciated the fact I did not have to rescheduled. I recommend your company to anyone that is looking for car help.

This place is definitely fair on pricing. Its very standard pricing for the service they are doing. They are also very honest about the quality of your car. I took my 2001 in to get serviced, and they said there is not going to be much life left in my car. They offered to do a few fixes for $1000 or so, to have the car driveable, but they even recommended that it wouldnt be worth it.

I love this place! I have had several vehicles here for engine problems. I feel very confident in there engine problem diagnostics. Some repairs they quoted where very expensive ( timing chain on infinity) and some cheap. Either way they found the problem fast and accurate. Never pushing the sale of repair. They actually felt hurt/bad when they told me the expensive price! And offered cheaper option to keep me in budget and on the road longer. See you next time!

I’m always very satisfied with the service I receive at Capital Tire. They are friendly and welcoming and they do a great and thorough job at a reasonable price. I own a Prius and I’m confident they are qualified to do it’s needed repairs.. This is one of the few places that will store your tires for you. I put winter tires on my cars and needed a place to store the summer tires and this was the perfect place. Everyone I’ve dealt with there has been great. They even reached out to me after several months asking if I needed anything done. That was really surprising and made me feel more than just another customer. They’ve also given me advice on my car several times and saved me a lot of money. I will continue to use their services for as long as I can.

They allowed me to have someone else drop my car off, kept constant communication throughout the whole experience, kept within my budget, and even did more than I asked for. I was able to get 6 different things done to my car with the brakes, sensors, oil change, and brake flush for SUCH a good price! Will definitely be coming here from now on, I dont know about others experience, but I trust this company.

The team at Capitol Tire have taken care of us and my familys vehicles for years. We switched to them in 2004 and have never looked back. They do most all the work. However, occasionally I like to try some things on my own and they are okay with that. They are always open and honest, providing great advice and guidance. For some services they may not be the cheapest option, however they deliver the best value by far, especially over time.I frequently recommend them to friends.

I had a great experience with Capitol tire, they were very efficient and explained what they were doing. I was very happy with the cost of the repairs.

I took my car for a routine 60,000 mi maintenance and thankfully the shop I had taken it to noticed a crack in the barrel of my left rear wheel. I called Capitol Tire at about 5:00 p.m. the same day, which was Thursday. Sean immediately told me to come by, took a look at the wheel and took down my vehicle information. By Friday morning he had a matching wheel available at a great price, had it delivered to the shop by Tuesday 4pm. They allowed me to come in at 5:00 p.m. and had me back on the road by 5:30. I definitely did not think I could get a matching wheel and be back on the road within three business days. They did exceptional work, offered a great price, and I will certainly be back for anything that they can help me with on my two cars. Theres a very good reason they come highly reviewed and recommended by everyone in the area. Thanks guys, hope to work with you soon (but not too soon).

I am recently a woman on my own looking for a shop I can trust. I was really hoping these guys were it. When I took in my Smart car for brakes I was very hopeful. They were pleasant and professional. They gave me a loaner car. I was ready to be very happy. When. They called to get the work approved, I was told $500 for brake pads. I was not pleased. Turns out rotors were replaced too, so the value was there but the miscommunication left a sour taste.A few days later, the shop followed up to see if I was satisfied. After a very pleasant conversation with Sean. I am satisfied and I think I may have just found that shop I was looking for

I brought own tires to be installed and had a full inspection done. They loaned me a car, called me numerous times to give me updates, and were very friendly the entire time. Everything was hassle free and easy! I was given advice on repairs but was not sold to buy anything. In fact I was told that some repairs like my slightly bent real axle wouldnt be worth the $200 if I rotate my tires regularly. Its hard to find honest people like this! This was my first positive mechanic experience in Madison and Im very pleased with it. Ill definitely be coming back here and recommending these dudes in the future!

Dealt primarily with Tom there but every single person I came into contact at the shop was extremely friendly and helpful. They snuck me in the middle of probably their biggest season to get my winter wheels and tires mounted up. I even stopped by the day before thanksgiving to drop off a part I had forgetting to give them and they were working hard past 6 PM to get my tires mounted in time for the snow. Cost was reasonable and the work was done very well - no marks at all on my wheels and they helped me load them up in my truck to take home. Honestly couldnt have gone better. Thanks guys!

Ive used Capitol Tire and Service for a couple of my cars over the past few years. They were originally recommended to me by a retiring mechanic that Id trusted, so that in itself says something.They are polite and professional. When I or my guy have called them with questions, theyve taken the time to answer all of them. Any problems Ive brought to them have been properly dealt with, and in a timely manner. They do a great job!

I went to one local mechanic to change my break pads, and they said that I would need my bearings replaced as well, which caught me off guard since there were no indicators prior to this that it would be required, so I took my vehicle to Capitol Tire and Service for a second opinion. Rather than just taking the money for performing the service and piggy backing off of the original mechanics recommendation, they gave their own honest assessment that my bearings were probably fine for the time being, but that I should keep an eye on them over the next few months. Thanks to their honest review, I was able to explore more options and learned that my bearings were still covered under warranty, so I ended up saving a lot of money. In my opinion, the value of a mechanic is more often in the work they choose not to perform (out of honesty) rather than in the work they do perform. They are very friendly, and we will definitely be going to them for any future service on our vehicle.

I have been taking my vehicles to Capitol Tire for 6 years now and I have always enjoyed the experience every time! Their knowledge and professionalism is top notch, and their customer service is an A+ every single time I call or step in the door. They know me by name and they get to know my vehicles. They have always fixed everything for a reasonable price too! The only downside is that sometimes they are too busy to get me in, but that is a good problem to have!! The bonus of having free WIFI, a cute dog (Sophie), popcorn, cookies, and drinks available makes the waiting room welcoming. These guys go above and beyond by offering free loaner cars while they work on mine, or giving me a ride to work and picking me up! You wont be disappointed!!

They beat three other tire quotes on comparable brands, including what seemed like a very good Costco sale. Theyve got quality mechanics who can handle most anything. If youre interested in car care that is beyond the, read the factory specs & do what it says, - and you instead want real advice from pros on what they would do (& what they would not do), this is the old school shop youre looking for. They remind me of the honest mechanics I grew up with in my small town that everyone trusted.

Honestly, I couldnt be happier to have found this shop! Ive gone to them for other repairs, but when I just needed some tires put on I let another place do it. That shop told me that I needed extensive repairs that would cost almost $2K...fearing the worst I came to Capitol Tire to get an estimate from them---only to be told after they examined my vehicle that there was nothing wrong! Their knowledge, honesty, and integrity saved me thousands of dollars in this one visit. Best shop in the Madison area!!

These guys have kept my 2007 Honda pilot with more than 200,000 miles on it in tiptop shape. I’m holding out on buying a new car until a reliable hybrid minivan comes out, and Capitol will keep my old car running safely on the road until one does. They’ve done an excellent job repairing things that have gone wrong over the years: front axles, tie rods, bushings, complete A/C replacement, timing belt, oil change, new tires, you name it! They are also honest when something doesn’t need repair immediately and can wait. I’m always able to get an appointment when I need one, and their prices are fair. A friend of mine referred me to them and I’ve referred several friends as well. They always answer my questions and explain things respectfully and kindly, which is important to me as a woman. I can’t say that about all of the repair shops I’ve used. Give them a try, you’ll be happy you did!

Capitol Tire offers great service performed by great people. I’ve used them almost exclusively for my cars for five or six years now and I trust them for high quality and honest repairs. And they have a great Garage Dog named Sadie who will greet you at the door!
