Although they are renovating and I have to go to the 70th and A location for my swims I love my workouts and all the options available

The club is a nice space, however, it lacks air conditioning. I toured the club and was shocked to find out that the club was 84 degrees in some areas when it was 97 outside… ridiculous! The tennis courts, the main activity I was hoping to enjoy, are very nice but also extremely hot. Most people that are employed at this location were so helpful and very friendly, but personally the price of a membership is not worth the heat exhaustion.

Ive been coming to Genesis Health Clubs for over 6 years now. Good equipment and great staff!

I know they are doing updating to the gym, which I’m glad they are. However, on Sunday morning and afternoon until 3pm the basketball court was taken up with class after class. Everyone needs to make sacrifices. So maybe not all classes should go on. We showed up and four waiting for the basketball court while only two using the court for a class. Not sure why classes can’t use the turf some or cut down on classes so the high schoolers can have the court on Sunday afternoons especially since it’s only open until 6pm.

I love working out at Genesis because there is so much variety it keeps your workouts interesting! I have loved the personal training program, and have worked with both Robbie and Christian and have lost over 30 lbs doing so! Highly recommend!

Genesis Has it All. Highly recommended. Even able to use the several locations in Omaha. Just One suggestion is one of the Lincoln Locations offering a 24hours area. Even if just a small section could be made available for access after hours.? Happy Member

If I could leave 0 stars i would. There nice and helpful until they make clerical error and then refuse to refund you money when it was their mistake in the first place, they only were willing to put it as credit on your account. Then when you try to kindly cancel your membership they give you the Never-ending run around. My wife and I have wasted more time trying to end our membership then we ever attended. Stay away stay, far away...

Love the classes and instructors, but am considering cancelling our membership due to lack of air conditioning. This has been an issue for many years and never seems to be resolved. It is frequently over 80 degrees in the studio before class even starts. I have had to step out several times during class feeling light headed due to the heat and humidity.

Once remodeling is completed this is going to be top of the top...staff down to earth and friendly, different levels help create unique spaces to exercise in, especially if trying to avoid a clump of people

Genesis is a great place. There is lots of equipment. I especially love the hammer strength equipment.

I found many problems with the tennis lessons such as poor arrangement and unprofessional teachings, on group lessons you have players wearing clothes that aren’t even suitable for tennis then there is people that are on the higher level mixed with lower levels which most times and your really just paying $40 for finding people to play tennis with and not much actual practice and training. Another small problem is that lessons times end up to 5 minutes early. At least the courts are clean and coaches are decent.

I am an original Racquet club employee that transitioned into Genesis almost 3 years ago now and there have been so many great improvements that have happened since the switch. Every employee is dedicated to making the experience of every member as enjoyable as possible. We have an amazing tennis program and incredible swim program that everyone should check out. With the building being so large, it makes it easy for those who want to be in their own space and not be watched by other members who are working out. Jerry, the general manager, is amazing at what he does and he connects with so many of the member to suit their needs when coming to the club. Working in the same building for the last 7 years, I am proud to say that Genesis is like my second family.

Ive been with GENESIS for almost 2 years and its the best! Everyone is so kind and welcoming, the classes are great (especially ALL-AMERICAN!)Management is absolutely wonderful, the staff really makes you feel like everyone is one big family. I urge you to come try out GENESIS, especially if you have kiddos (theyre kids club is AMAZING!) you wont be disappointed!!

I’ve been at Genesis for almost a year now and was very nervous and skeptical about actually going. Since then I’ve made it part of my weekly routine multiple days and sometimes multiple times day because I love it THAT MUCH! The classes are great, the instructors are PHENOMENAL and MOTIVATING and are always eager and supportive for any help you need! And an added bonus.. it lets you meet some amazing people along the way. It’s not just the workouts, it’s the relationships you make as well! My family and I love Genesis! ❤️

I recently moved to Lincoln and chose the Racquet Club for its wide range of Les Mills group fitness classes and early morning offerings and I have been nothing but impressed! The instructors are experienced, motivating and encouraging, and the group fitness community is very strong, which makes going to classes a lot of fun. When I first started attending classes, all of the instructors made it a point to welcome me, which really speaks to how much they care about their participants. I have also had great experiences with the personal training staff. The only thing that could possibly make this gym better is if they had Les Mills Grit on the schedule :)

I’ve been a member for a year now and it’s a great place to work out. They have a wide range of classes that are easily modifiable. I love the instructors! Everyone is friendly and supportive. It’s a large facility with lots of equipment so, even when it’s busy, there’s always room.

Dont like getting temperature taken. I think it violates hipaa.

I have been a member that this location for years and have never had a negative comment to share! I recently tried an All American class for the first time and it was awesome!

Cant say enough good about this facility. I feel like a valued person here, not just a number. The classes are great! The instructors kind of keep an eye out and help you keep form without pointing you out. They are open to questions and make you feel welcome. No matter what level you are at, they will show different techniques so anyone can join in. You become part of the family. I also have never had to worry about people looking at me and making me feel uncomfortable. Thanks Genesis!

The staff are very friendly, professional, and outgoing. Kudos to Genesis for maintaining so many great team members from Lincoln Racquet Club/Lincoln Athletic Club. The facility is very large and provides a full offering of services that are enjoyed by our entire family. Some gyms are cheaper, some are newer and more updated, but none of them offers the same experience.

I enjoy Genesis Health club. The people are friendly and helpful. They have tennis and offer many classes. If you have children, they offer a lot of Choices. I think they have something for everyone there.

There is a wide variety of classes available at Genesis, which was the main reason I chose this gym. The instructors are professional and inspiring. All of the staff is very friendly and supportive. There is also a lot of equipment to choose from and I never feel out of place or judged when Im there.

The week day childcare is excellent, I am never worried about taking my daughter to the gym because I know she will have fun and be safe. It provides me with the freedom to workout without worrying.

This is one of my favorite gyms so far in Lincoln! It’s super spacious, not crazy busy, you can take yoga classes, boot camp classes on the artificial grass turf along with other classes and finish your work out in the sauna/steam room.

Manager Jerry is good to work with. Trainer manager Rob was helpful getting us started. We love our personal trainer Kevin. Facility is clean and well lit, and lots of equipment.

I have been a Racquet Club Member for 8+ years. While the facility may need some improvements and updates the classoptions and quality are excellent. The instructors are phenomenal and keep me coming back day after day, week after week and year after year.

I absolutely love this gym. All of the staff are great! From Jacky who greets me all the time when checking in, to the trainers like Curtis who are always so helpful with workout tips to membership questions. Jerry, Joe, and Robert are definitely doing a great job leading the team here.

Deciding to focus on my health has been nothing short of life changing over the past three years. While I re-framed my relationship with food, the big game changer came with being more active.For me, this centered around the group fitness classes offer at Genesis Racquet Club. The amount of encouragement you will receive from not only the amazing instructions (seriously, all of them are exceptional at what they do; they will push you to your limit, but will let you know if youre doing something that could lead to an injury) but theres a build-in support and a positive accountability structure from other other people taking the classes with you.Theres an amazing variety of class types (my favorites are LES MILLS BODYPUMP, STEP, COMBAT, ATTACK, and FLOW, Group Ride Cycling, and All American Training (ATT). There are a ton of time options, especially for us crazy early birds. I cant stress enough how amazing ALL the instructors are!

There are lots of class options which is what attracted me in the first place. Everyone that works there is very friendly and eager to help make your experience wonderful. The gym is kept very tidy and everything is in working order.

Genesis needs a MAJOR remodel, you cant charge top end prices and have a mediocre setup.With that being said, the pool is nice, the hot tub needs to be painted, the athletic equipment seems to be a bit old, but does work well. They have regularly scheduled classes, I havent had a chance to attend yet, but have heard great things.My husband enjoys the tennis courts, but it seems very unorganized. He had a court reserved for a match - they show up and the was already in use, and his match cancelled. Complete disregard and handled so poorly by the staff.The courts are decent though - only a few select free hours though. I dont like that. If youre a member, court time should be available. Same with a ball machine. Dont charge members their left leg. I wish we had known that before we signed up.Hoping management steps up and makes this club better.

If you want a great gym, that offers a huge variety of classes, had great hours and amazing staff that is not only there to support your needs but also treats you like family Genesis is the place for you!

Very happy with my experience there. Love the group classes! Instructors are very motivating and make the classes fun! So many classes to choose from so that I never get bored. Great family place with lots of kids activities making this place a fantastic family gym. Facility is always clean, staff is super nice and other members are courteous. Definitely worth the membership!

The updates to the tennis courts are so nice! Im so glad to be back playing there and having all four courts available! Joel and Maria are the best tennis instructors! They both helped our team with group lessons and now my daughter and I are taking private lessons with Joel and have learned so much. Joel is able to communicate a clear strategic plan for our doubles game and also makes sure we have a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of the game. I really enjoy going to the various classes and love the instructors. Staff and other members are always friendly and welcoming! My kids also love going to the junior gym while I work out...junior gym and nursery are a major plus for a family with kids! BUT I wish they would update their locker rooms that are stuck in the late 80s and early 90s. Way past due for an update of all your locker rooms!

Nice staff. Good equipment.Edit...since Genesis took over there is double the equipment and classes but also double to triple the people. Place is so big that it never really feels like there are as many people in it as what the parking lot shows.

The friendly staff sets Genesis apart from other gyms. They have a variety of classes offered several different times to accommodate flexible schedules. I like the size and layout. It is easy to find space and equipment to use even during peak times.

It offers a variety of programs. There are different areas to work out in so you do not get bored with your workouts.There are two pools. My son loves them both.The staff is friendly and amazing.

Love this gym! I’ve been a member since ‘10. Idk about other locations of genesis the company the bought the Raquet club-but this location is great! Child care is off the chain. They have pretty much everything you could ever want or need. And it’s very laid back non judgmental atmosphere.

This gyms days are numbered, beware to any new and current members. The creditors are lining up at the door as the owner, Todd, chooses to go on vacations every weekend instead of pay his employees on time and LRCs bills. They even are starting to try cost reduction tricks like docking employee pay for entire weeks for small infractions to save on labor costs. I will be surprised if this place lasts another 5-6 months. Meanwhile Todd has new cars, a new house, and weekly vacations.

Poor upkeep of facilities. Mens steam room hasnt been running for weeks. Jerry the clown that runs the operation doesnt do anything about any of the issues. They cut locks of lockers and overcharge new members hidden fees. This place is really going down hill. I got my friends memberships and 3 of them have quit because of hidden fees and other b.s.

Ive been a member for 5-6 years and I appreciate the pleasant attitude of the front desk staff. The manager Jerry is first class. The facilities are kept clean and in good shape.

The new Lincoln Athletic Club is worse than the old club. The building is full of Asbestos and poorly maintained. They are Nazis about their parking lot, towing cars on Sundays from 10-2 that park their for the farmers market even if the lot is full. Equipment is old and unsafe. I would recommend the YMCA or Good Life Fitness, no contracts and cheaper fees.

Genesis is absolute garbage. Tried to cancel your membership and theyll tell you your good for 30 days. Then a month and a half goes by and theyll just keep billing your account. Then they never handle it charging you for more months instead of the cancellation fee. Absolute terrible communication skills. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM.

The facility itself is ok. The trainers and instructors are great! The way they run their business is not ok. You sign a contract and are told certain months are free up front but then when it comes to that point they change it and say that those months only apply after your contract ends. Why would you want free months outside of your contract?! If you want a quality gym that wont rip you off you have plenty of other options in Lincoln.

The swimming program for kids is the sole reason my family is associated with this train-wreck of face-lifts, nose jobs, and terrible management. The swimming program is pretty top notch though.I am not a member of the club, and a member of my family belongs solely because of the swim program and great instructors. I go to Madonna and my wife is nonplussed because she has to be a member at this disaster for us to be in the swim program.Aside from much of the club smelling like FAB. (For polite society, well say that it smells like feet, bandaids, and rotten carpet.) -The family changing room is the satellite changing room for the nose-job, face lift, steroid dumping patrons that cant make it the 70 ft distance to the regular locker room.Another reviewer called him Jerry the Clown. I cant think of a better descriptor when I went in and complained about my 7 year old daughter being barged in on while getting changed, by 2 unrepentant guys in the family locker room. That was the first time. It wasnt a oh, sorry for the sneak peek. It was Im coming in, and Ill just be a few moments. It happened a second time too. -Many of the patrons match the management. Like I said: nose-jobs, steroids, and face-lifts. Fit cat people. Its fascinating people watching.This Clown taps his chin like some comedian when you are bringing up a complaint. In my case, it was several months ago. He said something like Hmmm, I cant put locks on the doors because I need instant access to those rooms. Hmmmm, it is a bit too far to walk to the regular locker room. Hmmmmm, Ill have to think a lot about it.My wife and my Sister-in-law have gotten to meet the clown this week with related complaints, so I decided to finally voice my complaint.

I love this gym. They have EVERYTHING. cycling classes. trx. kickboxing. indoor pool open year round and outdoor pool open until the weather gets cold, so no set last day. a lot of exercise equipment. showers. PLENTY of lockers. They have personal training available. indoor and outdoor tennis courts. indoor basketball and racquet ball courts. Really good hours as well, even on certain holidays.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM!!!! They will charge you 7 months of monthly fees to cancel and do it with a grin. I had no choice to cancel as I lost my job and had to move. So I was forced to pay 7 months of member even though I no longer had income and no longer in the area!!!! They lied to me about the fees and have been charged another month of gym fees on top of cancellation fees!!!!!! STAY AWAY THEY WILL LIE AND ROB YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Update; This is the most corrupt business I have ever dealt with. I sent an email and they havent bothered to respond. Also, everytime I go in and ask when the manager (the guy who signed me up and talked me into keeping my membership the first time I tried to cancel) will be in so that I can talk to him face to face; no one knows when hell be available. If you need to cancel for any reason your going to have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to break their contract. $275 to be exact but thats not it. I have since moved and lost the packet they gave me when I signed up with all of those fine print loopholes telling you how you can cancel your membership. They give absolutely no notice letting you know when your contract is up. They will not let you cancel your membership over the phone. You have to go into the club and sign a form giving a 30 day notice even after the your 12 month contract is up because they keep charging you! They pulled out another $57 for a 14th month and I signed that cancellation notice last month! When I went in to sign this 30 day notice (Even though Im 90% sure I signed something and made it VERY clear 7 months ago that I did not want my membership continuing) they are wanting to charge me that $39 yearly fee once again (in February of next year...) before letting me be free of them!?! NOT WORTH IT. I ended up not canceling 7 months ago because it would have only saved me $100 in the long haul (or so the manager said). He leaves out all of the terms so that the company can suck you dry financially. If you dont %100 plan on going at least 2x a week for 12 months straight, its not worth the costs. Also they have a that yearly fee of $39 so I was charged $96 in one month... Definitely the worst decision I have made my entire life. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO ANGRY. My hand was shaking, I was so furious while I signed that cancellation notice after finding out they wanted to charge me another fee before its official. Genesis Health Clubs; They start you out with a health assessment where they gather your information then they prepare you with a layout of the muscle groups you should work on/the exercises that will help you reach your goal. You get a couple of free personal training sessions and have the option of purchasing more sessions. I personally have the buddy pass along with my membership. (If you sign up for that, your stuck paying that extra bit for at least 6 months which they forget to mention!) This location has a tanning beds, sauna, and shower room. I literally hate Genesis Health Clubs with a burning passion and I will tell everyone I know and meet who asks about it. Brad and all other management should be ashamed of yourselves for such a corrupt contract.

Be wary of the fine print. Even if your contract is up, they will charge you for an additional 30 days. Nice place. Even though a long time member they will charge you, so be wary when you sign any contract with them.

Terrible staff, outrageous prices, if you even mention cancelling your membership you are met with rude backlash. When talking about cancelling the cancelling fee went from 50, to 100, to 150 dollars to cancel. At any point in the year they charge your account $40 for a maintenance fee and give no heads up that such a fee will hit your account. Despicable business practices

I was in a large layoff at my company, so I asked to cancel my contract membership to the racquet club. The response was to ask if I had a credit card that would work while I didnt have income. Needless to say I dont recommend this gym, especially when there are other, non-predatory gyms in town that have the same types of facilities.

Prices are different then what are posted online or at the club. Can change at any time. South Lincoln deserves better

In the past I have had given a 5 star rating. However today I inclined to give the a gym a gracious 2 star rating. Today I attempted to workout. And was ablotuly Freezing in there, and to top it off. Every Fan was on full blast and after 10 mins I had to leave, as I felt like I was getting sick.....sweating, but a cold sweats. I think management needs to their correct this problem, otherwise I will be left no option but to join a new gym locally.I came home to my nice 70 degree house and felt fine. After changing out of my cold sweaty gym clothes.I thought I was getting sick, .Until I checked my thermonitor and by body core temp as at 930..1-2 degrees. I would have had to gone to the emergency room to get my body core warmened up to a natural. I got a blanket and layed on the couch. 2hours later my temp was better. I n the sumer I can take some warm weather in and outside. The winter months I cang believe that they are simply trying to make cuts in the bills in regards utilities.This summer it was hot and they fixed the problem. now I am asking you please fix the local HVAC oipes to add the heat from the bottom...At the very least shut down all Fans that are constantly running full speed. When iit is cold, shut down the fans. Or possibly hire Shannahn Mechanical, To at least give them for a second option for a quote. I know some of them all over Lincoln and Omaha..fee f free to contact them, or I could get a better price since I was a employee for 4 years.I will gladly sit down with you and discuss theThe negititions and tems you that we could at least so I have a better undate on IES. This is a great facility, great group fitness, and fair membership prices.

Our oldest daughter switched over to Woods Tennis a couple of years ago, but our younger daughter and son continued to do the tennis sessions every so often at LRC-LAC-now Genesis. It seems that several of the good tennis instructors have moved over to Woods recently and that worried me when my daughter came home stating that the Joel who used to be at LRC-LAC-now Genesis was now at Woods -- instead it was a different Joel and other new instructors. I told her to stick it out to see how the session/s went...I was deeply disappointed. The teaching has gone downhill and the instructor/s my daughter had didnt even try to learn her name. The last day of her session (after having attended two sessions in a row with him as an instructor) he asked my daughter if she was in the right class. When she told him yes she was, he proceeded to walk her out to the front desk to confirm that she was actually signed up for that particular class--again this is after having already attended the same session with him since last Oct or Nov. If he is the new tennis director, I am not impressed at all. We will be using Woods from now on. My daughter, son, and I are very glad this session is over.

The tennis coaches are great there I recommend going there for tennis lessons it’s worth it!

Awesome variety of weight lifting equipment and the pools are pretty nice.

My family used to be members this place for about 6 months. the WiFi at this place is absolutely terrible and slow with constant buffering. Made it impossible to watch Netflix on my phone during a cardio workout .The locker rooms smell like mildew. I dont recommend their child care programs. bunch of high school kids managing way too many kids absolute chaos.

Havent been for a while, but its a great place.

Terrible management. It took them three months to get a cancelation bill to me to pay when I canceled my membership and then they tried to back-charge me for the months of time that it took them to put out a bill. The owner even threatened me while I was trying to straighten out the billing.

Old and Ive rly crowded with old gym equipment. The wifi is terrible. They never get new equipment, especially cardio. Cardio rooms are small and awkward. Never going back. I think this is the only place left the requires a contract. Gave it a shot based on location. Leaving for a nice new gym with no contract and a reasonable price!
