We got stranded in Mississippi traveling between Florida to Texas after hitting some road debris. Looking under the car I knew by the pool of oil that we had punctured the oil pan. Without any help in sight and no dealer service available for at least 3 days I was sure our vacation was ruined. Insurance recommended Chuck and the team.They moved heaven and earth to get us back on the road the very next day after finding us some parts. I felt very comfortable with them. Chuck did everything in his power to make us feel comfortable and made everything straightforward. I could not thank them enough. 110% recommended if youre in the area.Made it to Dallas shortly after our incident with no issues. I went to get an alignment, and he said the manufacturer of Toyota Corolla’s made it so they were unable to get all four wheels aligned (I own a 2010 Toyota Corolla). Told me he’ll adjust my car for $350 plus tax and then align it for $79, and it was a “great deal” because dealerships would do it for $1500+. I went to Allen Toyota this morning, and they aligned me for $99. There was nothing stopping him from doing an alignment on my car.

The staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable. I brought my wifes Toyota to them for some maintenance issues and they quoted me a fair price and completed the work in a professional and timely manner. I would recommend them to friends and family!

I moved here about a year ago and wasn’t sure who to trust in terms of a car mechanic. I’m very thankful I did my research and found Chuck Coats Automotive. They were honest and reliable. I went in thinking I needed my rotors replaced, but they found out the cause of the shaking and rattling was bad engine mounts. I feel as if I got a fair price based off what they quoted me and what is listed online to repair engine mounts.I will be back in the future for business when my car needs work.

Took my dads truck there to get the ac fixed. Wound up not getting it done because of possible parts issues, but Chuck was great, didnt try and have me buy or have any services done that werent needed. Told me upfront the risks of trying to fix the ac.

Recently moved to the area and was looking for a new mechanic. Found Chuck Coats and could not be more pleased. Had a pretty major service due for my wifes Jeep Wrangler. They quoted me a great price and completed all work quickly. This service would have cost me considerably more at the dealer. I find them to be very honest, fair and friendly. Friendly trustworthy work but what impressed me the most was it took half the time other mechanic quoted me for the work that my car went in for plus the 2 things that were brought to attention. No extra work was done without consulting with the customer.

Like most, I was reluctant to put more $s into my 2001 S-10. However, after a few days and some brilliant diagnostics work by Phillip. They addressed several years of marginal performance from this vehicle. Runs great! Happy to have found this shop and will recommend them to all. $s spent were well worth it. I will return!

Great Service. Fast. They called me with the estimate. I have to take it back for more work, but then I knew that...they gave me estimated for all the work and what order I need to do it in. 4/3/19 i went back for the next set of work (due to my finances, nothing to do with them!), And it was just as great as the first time. Great conversation with Chuck while waiting for the repairs. My truck drives like new. Only two more times for the mechanical stuff, then perhaps once for the general cosmetic repairs. If you need your vehicle fixed call Chuck Coates Automotive, they will treat you right.

If you dont go here your missing out. Dont go to any other place. I had two wheel bearings and they replaced my brake pads all for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend this place.

I went to Chucks to have my car repaired. He replaced the part and it was functional for a whole 10 minutes until I drove it home and it died again. I took it back and he replaced the part, while blaming it on the cheap parts he gets. Ok, hes going to fix it, no need to worry about that comment. I had thought to myself. He ended up shipping the exact same part, said it was good and the same thing happened again. I spoke with him and he said the problem was that my clutch must have been changed to a racing clutch and is putting too much pressure on it. He then said in a less than respectful tone, What do you want me to do? Keep replacing it? when I had not once mentioned that I wanted him to do so again. Fortunately my vehicle was barely still capable of driving and I could get it to a location to park it until I had an opportunity to work on it. I purchased the OEM part and replaced it. It has not had a problem since.If he would have bought OEM instead of cheap parts he would have had a customer and a referral. Otherwise other than the slight loss of patience he was kind and reachable. I however will not be recommending him as there are mechanics that will charge similar prices without trying to maximize profits by putting cheap, unreliable parts into your vehicle.

I am a young female who knows absolutely nothing about cars and has no one down here to give me any guidence on the subject. Last week I took my car to a shop twice (NOT CHUCKS), poured over $300 into it attempting to get it fixed, and had no luck. I found Chucks Automotive on Google and based on his reviews I went straight there, and Im so glad I did. He and his staff are knowledgable, friendly, and professional. He got the work done quickly, kept me informed, and was never bothered by my endless questions. He made sure everything he did was in the best interest of me as his customer, and did it all for a reasonable price. He did not take advantage of my lack of knowledge about my car, and he actually taught me how to better care for my car.
