I have used Johnnys twice (2 vehicles) for body work. The people are hardworking, honest and they participate in community service. They love animals, and they dont up-sell you. The work was great and the service is prompt. They even tried to help me with car rental!I cant say enough good about them. The first time I took my older car in, the guys in the shop found an envelope with $100 cash in it and they turned it in. Both times, my cars were detailed better than if I had taken them in to a car wash or detail business. Excellent work and customer service both.

I need my car to be presentable to paying passengers so that I can continue getting good reviews. When I got into an accident, I was devastated because I knew it meant that I wouldn’t be able to make extra money for a while.I heard about Johnny’s through a friend who also took their car to Johnny’s, and I’m glad I did. I don’t think any part of the experience could have been better than it was. It was fast, easy, and the quality of the work is amazing. I messed up and backed up into a metal railing. My daughter freaked out, I was driving her Moms car. Well after a minute of verbally abusing myself I remembered I have someone to take care of me. I contacted Johnny and took the car over for him too check it out. Thankfully there was no body damage, just the rear tail light broken. He called around for an after market product but there are not any. He finally tracked down a used part. It wasnt significantly cheaper but every penny counts. He got the new tail light installed quickly and youd never know the difference. I seek Johnnys advice on everything car related. Thanks!

Johnnys is one of those local businesses that you know you can send people you care about to...and know theyll be taken care of. Not just with the repair process itself...we all expect that. But the little things that can potentially become big things...like working with your insurance company to make sure they deliver like he does...with your best interests at heart.

My wifes brand new car was rear ended in Los Gatos. Luckily, a friend of mine had referred me to Johnny and his office arranged everything: Rental car, insurance payment, etc. All I had to do was show up and drive off in a rental. Within days my wifes car looked brand new again and it was cleaner than when I brought it in (washed).Johnny did such a great job we have since brought in another car to fix a bad repair/paint job from another body shop. We would not think of going anywhere else. None of our cars were custom, but we did see some classic cars at Johnnys shop and they looked perfect!!!

Had them repaint some custom stripes on my car that covered trunk, roof, and hood. They did a beautiful job that I am very happy with.

After a long and continuous build of my pickup it was finally ready for body and fender work, alignment and paint. I then had to research a reputable body shop to make this happen. I searched around for a while (visiting local shops) and wasnt satisfied with what I saw and heard. So on a Saturday I went to get my car washed in Gilroy and noticed across the street there was a small strip mall and happened to notice a sign that said Johnnys Custom Autobody. While I was waiting for my car to get detailed I walked across the street to check it out. As I got closer to the shop I first noticed a beautiful 1969 Dodge Hemi Charger sitting in one of the bays. I was astounded by not only the paint but the fine detail that had gone into the alignment of the fenders, doors and hood. As I was looking at the car I was approached by a gentleman and I asked him if HE painted the car. Thats when he said yes and introduced himself to me as Johnny the owner of Johnnys Customs Autobody. We chatted it up for bit and told him about my project. He answered all my questions and ran me through HIS process of body and fender work. He showed me around his shop and what products he uses. Very clean and organized. He even took time out of his day to come and take a look at my truck at my shop and explain the process of how they would tackle my truck. Needless to say I was satisfied by not only the shop but by his detailed explaination of making my truck look great. During the whole process of my truck being transformed from just a rolling chassis to now a beautiful piece of rolling sheetmetal history he called me and sent me pictures of the progress being made.
