I just moved to AZ so I was skeptical about finding a barber out here. When I walked it it was immediately a friendly environment. The homie who cut my hair did a great job and we were able to hold a solid conversation the whole time I was in the chair. Love the atmosphere, will definitely be back 🤘🏼

My dad visited Juan today and he had a great experience. Juan was knowledgeable and professional and pleasant to chat with. Dad had the hot towel service, which he had never done before, and loved it. He felt refreshed and looked great! Also, my dad has a prosthetic leg and walks with a walker and the shop was able to accommodate him.From the outside, this place is in an old shopping center, but dont be deceived; the inside is clean, new, and super nice.We will be using them again!

While I miss my barbershop in the West Valley, Seniors, Gateway Barbershop has done a fantastic job on my sons last 2 haircuts! Its $8 more than what Im used to paying for his haircuts, but the quality and the close proximity to our house makes it worth it. These guys are good.

Im from San Diego where good barbershops are easy to find. Out here in Gilbert that isnt the case. Id gotten 2 bad cuts from 2 different shops and paid way to much for them too. Then I found Gateway Barbershop. When I walked in I knew I had found what I was looking for. Good cuts, good dudes, and great prices. Dont forget to tip your barber!

Good cut, good atmosphere. Looks unassuming on the way in, but the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the haircut are perfect.

I didn’t catch my barbers name but I told him what I wanted (it was a simple enough haircut). The barber rushed through the entire thing in about 8 minutes, and left MANY hairs sticking out of the side of my head. You’d have better luck at a great clips than with that barber. I noticed this as I was walking out and asked for the barber to fix it, and he zipped the clipper across my head once and didn’t do anything else. There are still tens of clumps of hair sticking out of the sides that he missed with the clippers. Don’t trust these guys.

These guys are the best hands up... tough times but they still get it done. Wouldnt recommend anyone else...

My experience at this barbershop was Amazing. I was nervous at first because The guy who usually cuts my hair wasnt in that day so I had to sit with a new Barber. The Barber that I ended up with made me feel super comfortable right away not to mention that I got the GREATEST HAIRCUT that I have ever gotten, not just in this Barbershop but in my life. I showed him a picture and he made it look better then the picture I showed him. I would definitely recommend The Barber named Joseph to ANYONE. I have gotten more compliments on this haircut then anytime Before. 5Stars for sure.

I took my son in for his first haircut i was really nervous but his hair turned out great hes looking so grown up now. It was a nice calm atmosphere. The barber was nice and friendly to my son showing him the clippers and letting him see how they felt before starting his hair. Im very pleased!

If I could do an individual rating about a particular person I would because the shop shouldnt have to suffer for it. I dont know the kids name for certain I believe they said his name was Daniel . He wore a Arizona Diamondbacks hat . I wouldnt recommend you get a haircut from him. He didnt clean off his barber chair had other guys hair on it which made my back itch . Asked for a certain haircut even showed him a picture and he gave me something completely different. Ive been going to Gateway barbershop for over eight months now. I would recommend any of the other guys. I would know because they have all cut my hair and have done a great job. I wouldve said something myself in the shop but there were others there present and I wanted to be respectful. Im pissed. Panda , Gabriel and the rest of guys are awesome though.

Love the staff always friendly and welcoming. Sometimes its a pretty long wait about an hour or so but its well worth it. I been to several other barbers in the area and you wont find one better then these guys. Come in sign in, and chill watch TV, crack jokes on the barbers but you better be ready to get them back twice as hard hahah. Just a great environment is what Im saying. Love these guys.

I got here when they opened. Hoping to get a hair cut before I went to work. Desperate as I was I waited 3 hrs because I was on this side of town. Finally I left because I was going to be late for work. With no haircut! What a waste of time! On top of that I came the day before with my son and waited 2hrs with just my son getting a haircut. Dam 5 hrs totally wasted.

Friendly and down home atmosphere. I moved back here after living in a small town. I enjoy the banter and conversation as well as being greeted by everyone when I walk in. The service and haircuts are second to none. And I have very difficult hair to and they handle it with ease. Ill be a customer for years to come.

I can’t rave about these guys enough! Their cuts are perfect every time, by men who recognize small details that make a mans cut. Only downside: you may have to wait 30 minutes during busy hours.

Brought my son in for a haircut from Adam. Ive have been trying to get a sporty/pompadour look and it kept getting lost in translation with other places that Ive tried. Adam took his time, had to deal with several cowlicks, and the result is AMAZING!!! Adam even gave me tips on how to manage and style his hair. Very much appreciated and will be back again!!!

I asked for a medium regulation marine corps hair cut with a 1 inch fade and 2 inches on top. The barber was more than confident he could do it. He left me with a half inch of hair on top with a 3 inch fade and it was a high regulation hair cut. I politely corrected him after he cut my hair as it still looked decent. He then continued to argue with me of how I was wrong that what he had given me was a military medium regulation haircut. I have been in the marines for more than 4 years and do not take well to being told how I am wrong on my description and he didnt follow what I had asked for length or the fade width. Very disappointed with the service I received. I went based on reviews off Google and I am very sad to say. I was steered wrong. Will not use these gentleman again. I CANNOT SPEAK FOR THE BARBERS WHO I DID NOT USE. I only speak on behalf of the barber who cut my hair. Very disrespectful.

This is the place to go if you want a solid haircut. You may wait longer than the average haircut place and the haircut will take longer, but it is well worth it as the guys here know what they are doing and are very precise and make sure everything looks good. Youll pay the same as anywhere else too, not pricey at all. Great spot

Took our son here because he asked to go to a barbershop instead of a salon...lol.When we arrived, we were told it was a 20 minute wait, so we decided to wait. Just after an hour later, they seated my son and asked what we wanted. I explained the type of kids cut he normally gets and showed photos. When completed, I didnt realize that we were charged for an adult cut so I mentioned this and was told that I requested a special style cut so it was regular price...Dont get me wrong, I was satisfied with the cut, but just put off with the explanation given. If you go there, please keep in mind that there may be a longer wait than anticipated.

All the barbers here are very skilled and do a good job. Wouldnt go anywhere else. Sam has done me good.

All the barber had to do was use clippers on the sides. Leave the long hair on top alone. I run my hand thru top of my head. I get a handfull of long hair. Thanks barber! Great attention to detail.

So I went in yesterday to get may haircut right? I had in mind a medium skin fade with 1.5-2inches off the top, the dude I got my hair done by smelled like he had just got done smoking weed, disregarding it I told him what I wanted and he never told me his name so I don’t know what his name was, all I know is he has a lot of tattoos wore Rayband black rim glasses and a d-backs hat. Anyway keep in mind I had like 7-8 inches of hair on the top so once he got done with my skin fade he started cutting the top and I told him 2 inches and he cut off like 5, not even kidding I can’t even do anything with it. Poor job by this man and make sure your staff is sober when on the job. Last time I’m coming here.

I thought it was odd at how much gel he put in my hair and how much time he spent combing the back. After I got home and took a shower, my wife pointed out that I had a line cut in the back of my head, and the barber hid it by combing over it. Thanks for the dishonesty. I wish I remembered the name of he guy who cut my hair. When you walk in the store, its one of the chairs on the left hand side, maybe the middle one? Be careful. Theyll mess you up in there.

I’ve had great experiences here with both Gerardo (Panda) and Adam. There is usually a wait but it’s worth it for a barber who pays attention to what you need and takes their time.

Zero stars, went in the other day and the guy who gave me the haircut was the worst Ive had, and I have been to a lot of bad barbers. I dont think the barber that I got was even trained, I could of given myself a better haircut, and I did trying to fix the barbers mess. Would never go back to this place, all the other barbers seemed to be newbies.

Guys here are awrsome and they all give great hair cuts. The atmosphere is welcoming and everyone jokes around and has fun. Anyone who goes to a REAL babrbersop knows youre not going to be in and out in 30 minutes. These guys take their time on your hair so its done right. You get what you pay for here and Ill never mind a wait if it means I get a fresh cut every time. Slightly upset the owner isnt a real Panda.

I have been taking my teenage sons here for a few months. These guys have been great about listening to what the kids want, while at the same time keeping the hair length within my specifications (I aint raising a bunch of justin beiber looking dufuses). Yes they take their time, because they do it right every time. If you want a perfect fade and the haircut you ask for, this is the place to go. If you just need to be in and out in 10 minutes go to sportclips and get a jacked up line across your neck.
