I have dealings with Rumpke in both Cincinnati and Dayton (9+ facilities). The customer service people in Cincinnati are amazing (particularly Sonya) and the customer service person in Dayton (Kelly) is spectacular. With their help, I am able to assist all my customers and get hauls, open tops, new services, and information in a more than prompt fashion. Not to mention how friendly and professional the staff is whenever I have a need, problem. or issue they correct it, address it, or make it happen. Rumpke may be a hometown vendor, but they are the best of the best.

They had a quick and easy process of scaling in and scaling out an easy access to the boxes to unload your stuff in. It didnt cost as much as I thought it would which I really appreciated they seemed like a pretty organized operation there so overall it was a good experience

I LOVE Rumpke Recycling. I was so stunned when the service started up and our garbage collection bill actually went DOWN! Our driver is such a kind and friendly person, always prompt, leaves the bin well away from the street, waves to me when Im walking, really professional and a pleasure to see. Rumpke is professional and good at what they do. The only thing I wish they had was a service for those of us who do not transmit much trash, so they, the many limited-income seniors, could have pickup every other week. I pray for their safety and thank them for their service.

Rumpke is a reliable and reasonably priced trash pick up. The drivers are always on time and leave our trash can upright. It is easy to pay and when I call my questions are answered quickly.

Rumpke, to me is similar to the United States Postal service, delivering there services through rain & sleet & snow! They have never once let me down & considering the services they provide & the many hazards they face on a daily basis, its refreshing to know that in this day & age some people still take pride inikon 9 their work! They have always showed up on time. After garbage is collected they leave the can standing up and NOT just thrown back down. On windy days they put the smaller garbage can into the larger can so it does not blow away. I appreciate them doing those little things. Thumbs up Rumpke👍🏻 And Thank You.

You need to pick up recycling more often than once per month. Also replace the cans (20 from our street) upright in a row like you found them and not in the middle of the road or in the creek. Thank you.

I think rumpke is a good company. They have been around for a long time. They only thing that I dont like about rumpke is they have a land fill were you can take your yard trash or tree limbs and old deck boarding. The price I feel is off it starts at .08 cents a pound for 100 pounds. However once you get over a 100 pounds it jumps to 8.00 dollars a pound. I feel if it is going to take a jump take like a 2.00 or 3.00 dollar jump not 8.00 jump. Other then that I think the company trys to work with thier customers.

The service has always been great!

We have a commercial dumpster at our residence and are in a 3 year contract with Rumpke. When there driver didn’t pick up our trash 3 times within a 2 month period we called for a credit on our account and all they do is come up with excuses on what they think we are doing wrong by throwing out trash and cleaning up our property. Now their driver has driven off our driveway causing a big hole next to where they sat our dumpster and now because of all of this they are canceling our service. They don’t want to pay for our yard their driver tore up and no one will come out and access the situation. We have even asked if they could move the dumpster closer to the road to make it easier for the driver and they said he would have to stop traffic to dump it at that point but it is ok for our 2 neighbors across the street to have there huge dumpsters next to the road ( I guess he doesn’t hold traffic up for those dumpsters). The lady that handles our account even told us they were having other issues with this driver with complaints not only from us. Now our service is being stopped for with nothing that we have done. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE PROVIDERS

I want to let you know that I called the week before and the woman answering the phone was a very negative person. She was not helpful and was unclear how to dispose of some rubbish I had. A week later I still had the item in front of my house. I called today and was a ble to get another person. Aubrey was very helpful in making sure I was taken care of.

We recently tried to setup service and had to cancel. We had trash sitting on the curb for two weeks and Rumpke did not collect it. We have already paid for our service and yet hadnt received any. We called every day for a week straight with promises our missed pickup would be corrected and trash would be picked up promptly. That promise was never fulfilled. This is unacceptable in a gated community where Ill likely be fined for the negligence. This is highly unprofessional and unethical business.

Really disappointed in this company!!! After signing up for service for a 6 yard dumpster the day of delivery I email them and they say “I’m sorry the road was too narrow” yet 1 year prior to purchasing our home the previous owner had a construction dumpster delivered to this property. We have heavy equipment delivered regularly on our road it just seems that they have lazy or a unskilled driver that was scheduled to do the delivery.... Sad

Dont bother filling out the online service request. If they even respond, it will tke several days and then they will just call you anyway and put you on hold for an hour. Ironically, the waiting message says for faster service fill out the form on our website

First of all I am stuck in a wheelchair. I push the can out as far as I can but when it begins to get steep I have to turn around, pop a wheelie and pull it up loose gravel. (a recipe to fall on your head in the driveway) I asked them if they could push the can about 10 feet closer to my garage so I could avoid the steep part of my driveway and am able to wheel forward to retrieve it and they said quote We do not currently provide that service. I asked them what about elderly people who could use the extra 3 steps a Rumpke worker would have to take so their trash can would be more accessible and safe to retrieve their trash cans, same answer. I asked them what if it was your mother or sister? No answer. Now they throw my neighbors trash cans on my property and the trash blows into MY yard. I have to pick up THEIR trash from MY yard. Once I was doing just that and it was wetter than I thought out and I got stuck in the mud up to my axles. Just when I was getting ready to fall out of my chair on purpose and crawl through the mud because i had been stuck for about 3 hours here came a car that stopped and saved me. My pitiful neighbors take their 3 to 4 cans out on a Sunday and dont take them inside until the following Saturday. Their property line is so close to mine I had to buy live traps to catch the rodents attracted by the cans. Last week they just threw my only can down on the ground. I called and asked if they could please leave my trash can upright as it would be easier for me to retrieve. This morning they FORGOT to pick up my trash for the 3rd time. Ill call them in the morning and ask them to come. I wish I could give them a ZERO but a 1 is as low as I can go. They may possibly be right, the 3 extra steps someone lucky enough to be able to walk might hurt them badly so just keep your policy of we have no policy to go those extra few feet to help elderly and handicapped people. Nice job Rumpke, so considerate. Someday it will be you who is old or handicapped like me and only then youll see how pitiful you are, Everybody knows somebody who is old and prone for a fall or someone who is handicapped. As long as its not them, their parents, grandparents, brother, sister, aunt, uncle or friend then its OK. I wish no ill will on anyone but someday EVERYBODY WHOS LUCKY ENOUGH TO LIVE THAT LONG WILL NEED HELP BUT DONT EXPECT THAT HELP TO COME FROM RUMPKE

I rented a large 40yd rolloff dumpster. The estimate over the phone was around $550 +$5 a day ( and I had called multiple times and got the same estimate ). I Loaded it with normal construction garbage ( no concrete or dangerous materials and not overloaded ) and Had them pick it up after two weeks. Somehow there was $400 in extra fees the bill was $950. I had an estimate from One of the junk companies to load it and haul it off for me for the same price.If youre a small business owner or homeowner that needs to rent an occasional dumpster Id look somewhere else.

Ive had Rumpke for about a month now. First week they didnt pick it up. I called and they apologized and said they wasnt sure why it wasnt picked up but it was definitely on the schedule for the following week. Second week comes, no pick up. At this point Im frustrated. I call again and once again I get a sorry and that they will send somebody by to get it. That was on a Thursday. No one came Friday and they said they didnt run on weekends. Finally Monday comes and they collect my trash. BUT Thursday comes (my original trash day) and it doesnt get picked up AGAIN. I call in and tell them I want a refund for the bill I paid and I will take my service elsewhere. She tells me they can not refund my money that I will have to ride out the next three months and then cancel but shes said she would personally speak with the route manager to make sure it is picked up. Absolutely ridiculous but I guess I dont have a choice. Well today, one day before my pickup day I had to go out to my curb for the second time and rebag trash because the animals keep getting in to it. I have nearly 15 extra bags of trash at this point sitting at the end of my driveway. So I call and ask to speak to the manager to make sure that they are going to pick up every single bag. She doesnt let me speak with the manager but persumes to tell me she will solve the problem. She tells me that typically they only pick up 4 extra bags but she will make note for them to pick them all up to catch me up .And IF they do not to call back in!!! Haha. So for a fourth week I will possibly be calling these people. I am irate at this point. This company is horrible business. If they do not pick my trash up tomorrow, and I mean ALL of it I will be speaking to whomever their corporate is and will pursue to turn them in to the better business Bureau. Alls I want is for my trash to be picked up. Ive already paid them and did my part but apparently it is an inconvenience for them to do theirs. I do not recommend this company. Please read these reviews. They do not have good ones and now I see why!! I do not like to throw companies under the bus because I know every company has its ups and downs but at this point I am running out of options as to how I can get these people to buckle down and just pick my trash up!

Unloaded fast and friendly crew

We have a trash can thats on wheels and the lid was attached to the handle. We had the same trash can for three years. But this morning Im assuming the same driver for the past three years, decided we dont need the lid anymore. Lid is gone, called company they said we dont know why the driver would take the lid or it might of came off and he didnt see it! Really? Lid is attached. So now we have to go and buy another trash can. Poor customer service!
