I am so happy to find this salon! Michele cuts your hair by ensuring it follows the shape of your head allowing hair to fall in a more natural manner. He is a master! The rest of staff are excellent also. Have used Cole for waxing and highlights. She is dynamite!

Had intents of scheduling my wifes hair appointment for a cut and full color, until they told me that it is standard practice with all salons that a deposit of at least half the estimated cost is required. First of all I have never heard of that practice, second of all it is a lie, not ALL salons require it, and last but not least I felt the explanation of the young lady as insulting. I have no plans of ever doing business with this salon. I found one that was very accommodating and DOES NOT require any kind of deposit.

Let me preface this by saying that I do not leave reviews on businesses. I went to ciao Bella salon as a new client and wanted to do something different and was not disappointed. Hailey was fantastic she was excited when I wanted to change up my color slightly and went at it with full enthusiasm. Never in my life have I had so many people say to me the next day wow your hair looks fantastic. I will definitely return and encourage all of my friends to make the hour long drive to Gainesville to visit the salon 🥰

Michele is very good. I am meticulous when it comes to my hair and he always gets it right. Hell tell you whats best for your hair (even if that means just a haircut and color is not yet recommended). Hes not just after sales. Oh! And dont be late for an appointment because they are usually packed! :)The salon is very clean, classy and relaxing. And not too crowded. :)

This was one of my best hair experiences. I was scheduled with Sophia Le. Im always apprehensive when I go to someone new.I have very thick, curly, and long hair, half way down my back. From the very beginning of the appointment Sophia was wonderful! We discussed exactly what I wanted and she made my hair look great! She made sure before I got out of the chair that I was completely satisfied with my look. She also recommended some frizz control hair products that she used in my hair today. Someone even tried to pick me up on the way back to my car! I will definitely be back for my next hair cut and style! Thanks Sophia for helping me look sexy!

This is my absolute favorite salon in town. Michele might be an actual wizard. He is the hair whisperer and knew just how to make me look amazing. Even from the first time I went there I had a lot of fun and felt so at home. Love this place!

Georgina is AMAZING!! They were able to work me in last minute on a Friday evening for a cut/style and eyebrow wax. My brows came perfectly and my hair hasnt looked/felt this healthy in years. She listened what my issues were with my last haircut and I am beyond happy with the results. Will definitely be coming back to see her!

Convenient location in Downtown. I got my haircut from Sophie who cut my hair dry which I was nervous about but worked out fine. She discouraged me from going shorter than I wanted to, which in the end worked out great and Im so glad she advised that. Honestly I didnt feel the lob was anyway different from any other lob I have gotten, but multiple people noticed the haircut and complimented it so it must have been good? They have the option of skipping the hair wash and blowdry which helped bring the cost down.

This was my first time visiting the salon and I absolutely loved it! The staff were friendly and accommodating and the products they used on my hair were great. I had my hair cut by Lea and she did a fantastic job!! I hadn’t had my hair cut in almost a year and she cut it exactly how I wanted it to look! Definitely the best hair cut I’ve received!

The staff are wonderful people. Upon entering I was greeted by two lovely women with pretty smiles. The one at the desk made a joke and you could tell shes just a sweet lady. Ive never had a more enjoyable or well done haircut in my life.

My hair is seriously hard to cut due to a cow lick in the front. Haley gave me the best cut I have had in a very long time. I love my hair now.

Love this salon! Darcy and Michele work miracles! I have been a loyal client for many years and now that Ive moved from Gainesville I drive over an hour to see them and bring along my step-daughters.

Loved going here to get my hair done miss it very much if I ever go back to Florida Im going to them.

A month ago I would have rated this salon that Ive have been attending for more than 3 years as 5 stars. However, Im beyond disappointed in the way Michele, the owner, acted today. Considering he is 20+ years my senior there was no need to yell Good Luck! at me in a mocking and condescending manner when I was exiting the salon simply because I chose to continue on with my stylist elsewhere. I never once mentioned it while in there for my appointment nor made any sort of snide/negative comments about the salon because I handle myself as an adult. The silver lining in all this for me is that him acting like that just proves Ive made the right decision to leave the salon. I suggest you save your money and go to a salon run by grown ups who understands the value of customer service. If you must go here for whatever reason, go see Darcy as she can rock it out!Edit: I posted the same statement to their facebook account. 24 hours later instead of doing the right thing and trying to correct a negative experience or even reaching out my post was deleted. So think of Ciao Bella as the salon where only good comments are kept and the negative ones are swept under the rug. I think that says it all!

I have gotten my hair cut here several times and was satisfied. However, I decided to get a cut and color and was extremely disappointed. Not only was it not the color I wanted, it washed out in 3 days, and was 2x the amount I was originally quoted because I had more hair than they thought. I will not be returning.

5 stars all around! The establishment was very clean and Michael did a great job cutting my hair. Everybody was a joy to talk to and I will definitely be back again soon.

They recommended hydrating shampoo for me, and when I asked for just a trim.. they gave me just a trim! I loved how they respected my hair length wishes. The staff is so sweet and kind, I will definitely be coming back

I went to Ciao Bella with a cut and color that I was unhappy with and the stylist (Sam) was able to find a more complimentary color and fix my uneven cut. I went thinking I would just need to “wait it out” with the cut until it grew back in but I am so happy with the way it turned out. The cut is so good that I barely need to style it, it seems to almost fall into place on its own. The location is great, the salon is clean, and the staff were all very friendly!

Emily did an incredible job with my hair even though I hadnt had it trimmed within a year. Im am so so happy with the results!! Love this place!

Ive gone to Tiffany a few times, and each time she gives me exactly what I ask for. I walk out absolutely loving my hair. Would definitely recommend her!

Horrible customer service. Owner was so rude and unprofessional I am baffled at how he acted when I wanted my hair redone because the first time it washed out a lot in one wash. I didn’t wash it right away, I washed it four days later during my vacation and it was basically blonde again with a tint of orange. I already had my hair bleached before (from another salon) and then they just applied color on top of it. I was asking for my hair to be neon peach/orange and they didn’t really have the colors I wanted and I didn’t know that until after so It obviously wasn’t as bright or the color I asked for. I wanted a shadow root and have my roots bleached and have the rest of my hair lightened as well before the color application which I thought I was getting but there was some miscommunication I guess. I was only booked for a single process not a double process when they said a double process was going to be booked. I could have done this myself (just apply color on top and nothing else) and feel like I paid way too much money for a mediocre hair job. I called to reschedule another session and they fixed it for free. It apparently had to be with the same stylist to be free but she didn’t even touch my hair the second time and someone else did it. However, when I got there owner said “they tried to contact me 6 times to tell me they can’t do the color I want” but I was at work all day whenever they did so I can’t answer my phone all the time. He then said they can’t rebleach it and don’t think its a good idea when they originally told me over the phone that they could. I ended up getting my hair dyed bright pink/fushia and the color is better than before but overall I never want to go back because they just handled the situation in a poor matter. Extremely disappointed and still would love to have a refund or partial refund because I could have got it done for half the price and a better job somewhere else.

Darcy is fantastic. My hair is the healthiest it has been in years thanks to her! Not to mention my bangs are the cutest and frame my face perfectly. Couldnt be happier.

Ive lived in Gainesville for almost 6 years and my search for a good mens haircut ended when I found Michael. Hes friendly, has lots of experience, and always makes me feel welcome. We also get to catch up and chat in Italian since hes from the same region of Italy as my father (Puglia). Im always offered coffee when I come in, and the atmosphere of the salon is comfortable and welcoming. And I dont know if complimentary trims in between haircuts is a common standard for womens cuts, but Ive yet to find a place who will do that for mens cuts -- except here. The fact that Ciao Bella does is an added bonus!

Ive been going here for the past two years for color and cut. I had been to a few other places in Gainesville and my hometown of Fort Lauderdale and now wont go anywhere else. My stylist Brooke is extremely knowledgeable and sweet, she definitely takes her time on her clients. I would say it can be a little on the pricey end but it is comparable with other places in the area and plus Im a broke college student so Im going to think anything is expensive. To me its worth it because my color stays bright for a few months. I recommend this place to all of my friends- like I said my stylist is Brooke and shes fantastic but Im sure all of the stylists there are great!

Since my hair stylist of many years left the area, I researched different salons and stylists before deciding to give Ciao Bella a try. I read the reviews on the different stylists there and made an appt with s specific stylist. When I arrived for my appt I was told that another stylist would take care of me. I was not asked if I was o.k. with this change and felt as if I was just shuffled off to a newer stylist. I was not happy at all with this switch since I had chosen a specific stylist based on the reviews. Notably, a previous reviewer had the same experience. So, if you dont care who ends up doing your hair, make an appt. I have gone to many salons over the years and have never had this happen before. Needless to say they lost someone who might have been a regular customer.

I just received a color, balayage and cut from Emily. She brought me from an awful copper color to my -exact- natural hair color, with subtle blonde streaks at the bottom as well as fixed my previous haircut. Because of her, I wont ever need a root touch up again. I am so happy with my results and I definitely will be returning!

The worst customer service ever. The stuff( including the owner) is rude and unprofessional.The make up artist was horrible. Her own make up was done pretty bad and i was reluctant to trust her with my face but decided to just go with it. I asked for a fresh healthy look but in the end found myself covered by thick layer of foundation and powder which made me looking 10 years older. The make up artist also used some purple eyeshadow which made my eyes look red and tired. I was so upset with the final look that just ask to wipe my face clean. I could have done much better job myself in 5 min.Here starts the worst part. The owner just told the make up artist not to waste time on me anymore and get me out of there. The Girl( the make up artist ) was making ironic inappropriate comments.I was close to tears.I dont recommend this place to anyone. Unbecoming . Unprofessional.

I just moved to the gainesville area about 3 months ago. I looked up some salons and ciao bella looked like a nice place to go. I called and made an appointment with michael the owner. They quoted me $68 for a shampoo, and cut. Because michael was an experienced stylist. I thought i was pricey but i went anyway because i was in desperate need of a cut. When i went the atmosphere was nice and the conversation was ok. But my cut was horrible!! He did nothing i asked him to do. When i scheduled another appointment the receptionist was rude. I run a business and deal with customer service everyday, and it was very unprofessional. I had a very busy day at work the day of my next appointment and couldnt make my appointment. Michael called me and proceeded to tell me i was rude an i shouldve told him i wouldnt make my appointment (which i called he receptionist an told her i wouldnt make it). He was very unprofessional. I even referred two friends to ciao bella and they too had horrible cuts from michael. I recommend going to a different salon. Spend your money on a hair cut in a hair salon that you actually like and are treated well in.
