Ive been to many Barber Shops in Gainesville throughout my stay here. However, this place beats them all. Its one thing to get some hairs cut; its another to have a very pleasant experience talking to your barber in an authentic barber shop setting. I felt like I was transported back in time to a traditional barber shop. Doug, keep being you! This is a great place, what I call an old fashioned barber shop where they know how to actually cut hair. And I like getting an old fashioned shave too. Doug is my go to guy for barbering and great conversation!

Good, two-seat barber shop. Has a very nice small town feel, and a great price on haircuts. Definitely a great place to go if you just want a simple, No frills haircut. Only complaint I would have, is I wish they would turn the AC down a little bit. It got quite a bit warm in there when I was getting my haircut. I will definitely be back

My husband has never had much luck with barbers at all so we never end up going back to the same place but here we got a warm welcome and such great service and the hair cut to top it off was exactly how we described he wanted it! I wish I could give zero stars but I can’t. I literally just left this establishment. I can admit mistake number 1 was the fact a brotha went to a non “urban” barbershop. My barber was late (like black people tend to do) so I was willing to accept getting the George Bush bowl cut. Tell me how when I walked in, the young man behind the chair was on his cell phone and made no attempt to even greet me. He stayed on his phone the whole time. Didn’t even attempt to show me customer service. I stayed there for a smooth 6 minutes and didn’t get even a smile and wave. I hope the person on the phone he was talking to about his future appointment with has a great lunch

My hubby was given good service and looked great! His mustache looked good which is rare for a first time being cut by someone new.A bit hard to find if not acquainted with the area. He will definitely be going back there!

We have been looking everywhere for an old time barber shop for my 78 year old father. He is extremely picky when it to his hair. I took him there today and he says he will never go anywhere else. The people are super friendly and they made us feel comfortable and very welcomed. My father loved the hair cut as well as the atmosphere. We strongly recommend giving them a try!!!!

Ive been going here for 7 or 8 cuts now, and its the best spot Ive found in town. They are friendly, know how to hold a conversation, and give you the old-time barber treatment. I always feel comfortable at Bobs. I recommend giving them a shot if youre in need of a trim.

I have been going to Bobs Barber Shop for several months now. The shop is owned and operated by Margaret and James, Bobs wife and son, respectively. I have had fantastic cuts from both of them. They are very friendly, and the chit-chat is always fun. Tell them how you want your hair cut, or even show them a picture, and theyll deliver. The shop is full of interesting photos, artwork, and old-timey knickknacks. It costs $12 for a standard haircut, which includes a hot cream, straight-razor neck shave at the end. They do not take debit or credit cards, so bring cash.

I took my fiance there when he was sick. He had a brain disease which caused him to shake and die in 2 months. But that didnt stop James from giving an awesome old fashioned shave. I am grateful for the kindness and professionalism James showed us. Best place to go for a haircut and shave. They also honor veterans.

Small, two-chair inexpensive family barber shop. Convenient hours and parking. My new choice for hair cut, previous place stopped taking customers at 4:30 in the afternoon and 11:30 on Saturday.

Not enough staff. 1 barber and 1 teenaged youth. Long, long wait times and the shop needs a serious cleaning, its DIRTY. This place has really gone to Hell since Bob passed. The owner needs to throw in the towel. I moved to Kutters on 16th Ave, the energy is must better.

We were on our way to Key West from Texas and I exited to find a Super-cuts or something similar. My wife spotted Bobs in the strip center and what a pleasant surprise. I walked in, no waiting, sat down in the chair and felt at home right away with all the banter. We started telling jokes and just had a great time. When the barber put the hot lather on my neck, I asked, Is this one of those hundred dollar haircuts? She laughed and said, No, just $14.50. I wish I lived in Gainesville, just for the hair cuts.
