I had to really take a step back before I posted this review. I hate to rate local small businesses bad, but in this one I need to. My husband needed a total head shave so we stopped at this local barber shop. The owner Dave told my husband that since it was his first time shaving my husbands head, he might get a few nicks. Okay that was weird to me that a professional barber would put forth that warning... but okay. Not only did he BUTCHER my husbands head, but then to try and stop the bleeding he covered his head in alcohol. Im not sure if its the beer in his fridge that caused this...I wish I had a reason that this man would do this to my husband. He was not apologetic at all, but he did cross out the area on the receipt where you would leave a tip. Im horrified and saddened that this could happen. A few nicks..okay but it covered most of his head. Now my husband is in pain and has to attend work looking like he does, with serious cuts all over his head. I hope this can help someone else being put through this kind of pain. He used shaving cream so it was not until he was finished and cleaned up the mess before it was even seen. We will never go back. Its dangerous what this man is doing.

Dave and the stylists are really good at what they do, and the atmosphere makes this the best place to get your haircut in the area. Lots of people gather waiting for a cut, and the conversations with each other and the team are rich and fun. You wont be disappointed.

Got a cut July 3rd expecting to get a nice clean cut for the holiday and the lady cutting my hair was extremely rude and messed my hair up. My sideburns are completely different. Considering how rude she was you’d assume she can do a simple shape up.

I went in, because my barber moved out of town. I was taken care of immediately by a lady in her early 30s with blonde hair. The cut was great; exactly what I asked for, but the lady that cut my hair critiqued my choice in style and was pretty rude from start to finish.At $18, I cant complain, but all in all, it was just okay. Not bad, not great; just okay.

The Barber was very friendly and did a great job cutting my nephews hair. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the Gainesville area!

I’m graduating after 5 years of undergrad and grad school at UF. I went to style cuts for my first hair cut in Gainesville, and have only gone to them since then. I’ve literally never had a bad haircut, and the owner and other stylists are a good kind of talkative, at least for me.They are usually quick and have been more consistent than any other place I’ve gone to repeatedly (at least for my simple hair style).Definitely give them a shot.

The gentleman that helped me was super friendly, and down to earth! He helped me find a style that works for me, and even helped me get my beard looking fuller and much more clean looking!

I’m never going back there again. the woman who i usually go to is never there anymore which sucks because she’s great but everyone else who is there never gets my haircut right or the way that i ask it, my hair was cut too short when i asked not too

I went in right when they opened, and was in and out very quickly! Can’t remember the older gentleman’s name who cut my hair, but he did a phenomenal job, and went so far as to educate me on how to blow dry and style my hair to achieve the results I wanted on my own. Very happy!

I have been going to Yasmin for the past 3-4 years now and I don’t think I will ever go anywhere else! She’s great at what she does & very funny once you get to know her personality. I highly recommend for anyone in the Gainesville area to give her a visit! I haven’t experienced any of the other barbers myself but my friends who go to them say they’re great as well 👍🏻

My hair was horrible before I went in and after I came out I felt like a new man. This made my day the greatest. They all can cut any kind of hair and the way u want it. I have found the greatest hair cutting place on the planet. And that is style cuts.

I’m sad I won’t be able to visit this place again because I’m moving out of Gainesville. Taylor did a great job cutting my hair. She did a perfect fade and was very detail oriented. The owner Dave is also nice and he provides free water bottles and coffee

Yasmin greeted my mother, who is in her 60s with absolute disrespect. Upon paying with credit card, she threw the card back at her. Unacceptable. Have shared my experience with others and we will not be returning if Yasmin is still employed there.

Young guy there was awful. Worst haircut Ive ever had. I made an appointment somewhere else to get it fixed. Needless to say, I will not be going back.

This place is actually a really nice barber shop. I find the price to be manageable on my college budget and the hair cuts are good enough for not being back home. It has a little quirk to its atmosphere that makes it a great place to visit.

Since moving to Gainesville in 2008 Mario Miller has been cutting my hair, and I have followed him wherever he goes. He is a world class barber with years of experience. He is talented with clippers, scissors and straight razor. I can always count on Mario and have not once been disappointed. He now also cuts my sons hair. I highly recommend him to anyone who asks where to get a great haircut.

Gave this place two chances, NEVER AGAIN. Went here last week and was cut by a female (dont recall her name but she has black hair), the picture attached speaks for itself. Did not clean up the neck and left a horrible patch of hair as shown in the image. The rest of the haircut was just as bad. I wanted a simple trim and when I specified that I would like the neck cleaned up, she rudely cut me off and said dont worry, of course cleaning that up is part of a normal haircut. She cut my hair in 10 minutes and was absolutely careless with zero attention to detail. Instead of recklessly cutting hair while asking a million questions about your personal life in an attempt to get a tip and make you a repeat customer, it would be nice if she slowed down and focused on doing a good job.The first time I went here I was cut by Dave. The haircut was better with him, but still not great. He trimmed my sideburns unevenly and I had to return later to have them fixed, quite an inconvenience. He did admit they were uneven and apologized, which is why I gave them a second chance as mistakes happen. Having this happen a second time is inexcusable and the image speaks for itself; that is not an innocent mistake - it is carelessness.

This is simultaneously the best haircut, most affordable haircut, and quickest haircut I get. And Dave won’t let me tip him, even after I insist! Dave is my favorite, but I’ll go with whoever is ready first and all are great. Friendly people.

I found this place on Google Maps and saw the high ratings; I went straight there to get a haircut. I walked in, sat down and immediately started getting a haircut, which turned out absolutely perfect the first time! This place was very friendly with everyone. They remembered customers by name and treated them like family. Prices are more than reasonable. I would HIGHLY recommend Style Cuts to anyone.

I chose to go to Great Clips because of a coupon. Never again, I received a terrible fade. Dave at Style Cuts helped me out and fixed my rough haircut. I highly recommend Style Cuts not only for the price, but for the hospitality.

First time was fine, she listened well and gave me what I wanted. Second time, oh man, the guy not only did not listen very well, he went to town on my hair like a lawn mower, like cool thanks I guess I have to wear a hat from now on.

Just stopped in at Lunchtime today and Casey did an incredible job with my hair. Quick thorough and friendly, this will definitely be my go to place from now on.

Have no real clue

I did not like my service. I got my haircut with the young blonde girl. She was a little rude. Did not follow the instructions I gave her for my haircut. I wasnt satisfied with the final product and she blamed it on the shape of my head. Pretty sure she just didnt care to take her time or doesnt know how to work with all hair types, because I have gotten my desired haircut at this location before with a different barber. Also noticed she cut the back of my head a few times and didnt even put powder on it. Not sure why people go to her so much. Overall left real dissatisfied - at least it was only $12, but itll be the last $12 they get from me.

Its good, cheap and fast. Plus the barbers have a great attitude.

I have a very simple cut but the lady did it slightly uneven. Normally it was 10-15 minutes but she was buzzing and cutting like crazy. Took 5 minutes but I had to fix it with some scissors. Price was ok. $14 credit $13 cash. Service was ok. I think I’ll try somewhere else.
