These guys are great, not only do they run a clean cut business whatever they say is the lowest possible price they can give it to you for but they also have a nice supply of moped/scooters. I paid $1,195 and at the very same website they cost more than that so youre getting a better deal if you go through these guys. And that theyre already put together and mine had 1.7 mi on it so youre getting it brand new engine 2021 moped / scooter and they purl like a kitten and they have all kinds of different colors to choose from I think pink is a little bit more.

This is a great place to get your work done on a car. They specialize on transmissions but theyll do pretty much anything... They also have scooters / mopeds in the summer and I looked and looked all over the internet and youre going to pay at least $1,800 If you go there its already put together for one thing Thats a big deal because you have to put on the front tire and the brakes and all kinds of stuff if you order it online and its also very very handy that they have it already put together and its not like it has a lot of miles on it Youre getting a 2021 moped/scooter with one mile on it some of them dont even have one mile on it. mine had 1.7 mi. And their price is $1,195

There work is very good, Ive had work done there 3 times.But dont schedule a drop off first thing in the morning at 8:00.Twice I was late getting to work because they were late getting to work.

Ive been dealing with Semmens transmission since 2014. I thought that they were a reputable business, but I see theyre not willing to pay for their own errors. I had them rebuild the rear end on my truck, the truck was stored for over 3 years with very minimal driving. And one day a pin came loose in the rear end which locked my rear end up, and then when I tried to drive it it blew my transmission. I called Semmens transmission after I had another mechanic tell me what happened, payed$150 to have it towed to Semmens transmission. Only to have them deny responsibility for what happened. They will not back up their work if it cost them one penny. Never go here. Please learn from my loss!Update: the owner has feebly attempted to explain why he did not honor his work. Ive talked with numerous other transmission shops and nobody has ever heard of there being a problem with pins breaking in the rear ends of dodges on a regular basis. Furthermore since semmens transmission is aware of these pins failing why would they not have replaced the pin while they were rebuilding the rear end?The owners response, which you can see for yourself, demonstrates their incompetence, dishonesty, and their greed. I never leave reviews , especially bad ones . But I must comment on this business .. I am rather disappointed - I read reviews and was told by a very close reliable friend that this was the place to go to get a vehicles transmission tested out . So I took a leap of faith and took my van there . When I had arrived I told the man at the desk what the issue was - when I tried to take off, the shifting was very rough , I didnt force it to shift into gears I let it very roughly shift on its own and once I was able to get up passed 30 mph it would shift fine . The man on got into my van , hooked up the machine , put it in drive and very very forcefully pulled off onto Lapeer Rd forcing the van to shift even more rough then when it was not being forced . We got not even a half mile down the road when he looked over and me and said has this been happening? With not exactly understanding what he meant I asked has what been happening he said, the drive gear .. I said it has been working it was simply just not shifts how it is supposed to . Once we got back around the block and pulled into the parking lot he put it in park .. shifted through the gears .. put it in drive and my van proceed to roll backwards .. he then puts it in park , unhooks the machine , jumps out checks the fluids and says welp looks like drive is completely out which mean the drive belt (not sure of thats exactly what it is called) is broke inside your transmission which means there is not fixing it and it will roughly cost 2500 to fix , sorry have a good dayHere is my issue , I explained exactly what was happening and how we were not forcing the van the to go , when the issue first started we drove from Miller rd to Saginaw street with drive just rough shifting parked it and did not drive until we left Monday afternoon to head to this shop , from my house not even 2miles aways from the shop we still had Drive again with just rough shifts into we reached 30mph , when he got into the drivers seat to take the van on a test drive there was Drive but instead of letting it roughly shift on it own he forced it to go got back to the shop after corning the block and BAM no drive ?I am a single mother on a very tight income and only one vehicle -this van Im talking about , I trusted this place to not take advantage because of the way everyone has such high reviews and remarks about the service -to hook up their computer and tell me what the issue was , Not to force my van so rough that he blew out a whole drive gear in less then a half mile . I have been told since this as happened , that the issue very well could have been as simple as a sensor that had went out which could have been read on the computer and very well could have been as cheap as a 40$ fix . But now that I have no drive gear , I will never know and somehow have to figure out how to get a new transmission or veichle on top of raising my son and trying to get to work . Very disappointed .

Great place, very professional, and fair rates. Wasnt just another number, explained everything in detail. Just a very personal touch to it. Took my car to muffler man on Jennings Rd. They had my car 3 days and had not touched it. Lied to me several times about waiting on parts and about processing my warranty claim. I drove away with my car and took it to Semmens at 8 AM the next day, the called me back by noon, had my car diagnosed, parts and ready to go just needed my permission to go ahead with the work. Thats service!!!!

Traveling through Michigan, I thought I had some major transmission problems. The car would go into gear but felt like it was about to slip right back out. Was prepared for a huge repair bill on something just out of warranty. They got my car in immediately and drove me and my family to a friends. I got a call an hour later saying my “shift cable” was seized and wouldn’t move by hand. They replaced it same day and I was back on the road. They are respectful, courteous, polite and kept me updated throughout. It is refreshing to come across a small business as honest as they were with me. I can’t say enough good about them and wish them the very best. My family and I are sincerely thankful. Highly recommend if you’re in that area, I wish they were closer to where I live out of State!

Whenever I had my Hummer 2 serviced here. Jazz and the other staff always looked out for me and spotted other issues that that I had, so I wouldnt have problems down the road.

Took me to let me grab some food before working on my car.And before finishing my car He said it wasnt as bad as he originally quoted me. Hes charging me about $125.00 less and in half of the time he quoted. And they didnt take advantage of me because I am a woman!

THESE GUYS STAND BY THEIR WORK! Theyve earned my respect as ethical, professional, knowledgeable, experienced. They replaced a transmission on a Ford Fusion for us. Within a couple days, the old lines failed due to corrosion, leaking out all the transmission fluid. Semmens paid for a tow truck, apologized for underestimating the extent of corrosion (which had NOT been included in original repair), and promptly fixed the lines. Semmens gets my appreciation for the fact that they didnt automatically charge for new lines when the old ones seemed to be okay, because they were trying to help us keep the repair bill reasonable. How many places would then do an additional repair when it cost them money out of pocket, simply because of the connection to the original repair!? DANG! Ive already recommended them to two other friends with transmission issues. GREAT PEOPLE with whom to do business!

Ok, these guys arent the cheapest place to have work done by any measure. They did, however, fix the problem I had with a recent wheel bearing repair...quickly and professionally. I have also had a transmission rebuilt there. I like the fact that they are honest and up front about costs, do the work quickly and professionally, and have local drop-off and pick up service. Five stars fellas!

I first I thought something was wrong with the transmission they gave me lol. But they told me the corvette servo is a good thing to have in my truck. They stand behind there work. If you use this place. Make sure that you dont leave anything inside of your vehicle. It will get stolen!!! There is a gap in their fence line that the thieves use. And the business is well aware of it.

Ive taken my car to two other transmission shops with mixed results. I was very pleased with the service and attention provided by Jazz and Semmens Transmission. I originally purchased my transmission through another vendor, but Jazz was still very willing to assist with a warranty repair. He worked with ETE and got a replacement transmission sent and put in all in the same week. I was beyond impressed with how helpful this establishment is. ANYTIME I have a transmission issue I will be going to Semmens. Ill pass probably 10 transmission shops on my way there, but I know it will be worth it.

I would not recommend this place for lifted trucks. I have a 2013 dodge Ram with a 4 in lift and took my truck there for some repairs. They replaced my axle and in less than a week my axle is broke again. With this place being closed on weekends Im now without a vehicle because my axle was not repaired properly.

I came in looking for info on having my transmission rebuilt ,young arrogant guy(tall with dark hair ) first suggested it wasnt worth rebuilding ,then suggested he could get me a transmission from the junk yard and install it for $600 , I asked about a possible repair and he pretty much said he could but he wouldnt.. Why advertise on tv about friendly helpful service and treat potential customers in that manner ?

I took a 2005 caravan in with the dash showing transmission errors, they could not find anything wrong with it and suggested I drive it as is. it continued to work well for about two tears, at which some idiot talking on a cell phone pulled out of a store parking lot and broadsided me in perfectly clear weather conditions. They could have sold be an expensive transmission, but did not.A year ago I took them an F250 4x4 with transmission problems and they had it fixed in two days.They are a reputable business, but as hard as they may try, all businesses have some unreasonable customers.

As an older woman and being nervous about taking my vehicle to get car repair. I was at ease when taking my vehicle to Semmens. they treated me with respect and kindness. they even explained to me the issue I was having with my transmission. they have a customer for life. I highly recommend Semmens to every one.

They advertise used cars so we went there to look at them. The one we were interested in, his brother was out driving it as his own. We asked if he could bring it back. He said he should be back in a few minutes. So, we waited, he never did come back.

On a trip up to the U. P., the connection from the trans to the radiator broke. They put a new radiator on rush order free of charge. They worked out a payment plan with us with being from Ohio. They even offered to drive us to a car rental agency, and by being friends with the manager, even worked out a deal for us on a car rental. After the repair was done, they called us and worked out a plan on where to pick up our vehicle. We are very pleased with the repair and trust it because it came with a warranty. This family owned and operated repair shop has customer service and quality of work at their highest priorities.

Great Place To Get Your Transmission Fix.

Disrespectful and unprofessional place.I called the shop and told him the transmission issue, what Trans is was and the car it was in. I simply didnt have the time to take care of it so I figured Id take it down the road. It should have been a simple problem, clutch not engaging on a cable clutch ford world class t5. Guy on the phone seemed fine with it and said bring it in the next day (Thursday) so I drop it off Thursday morning when they opened and got a call Friday 2 hours before they close saying to come get it, theyre not messing with it and its outside with the keys in it. They never told me anything about it, like they didnt even look at it. When I arrived the car was sitting next to the sidewalk with the keys in it as he said on the phone. If I hadnt have left work to go get it it would have sat all night. Never would I consider doing business with them again.

The tranny man cant!!!They rebuild my transmission. But two weeks from the end of the warranty it start making a funny noise, so I took it back to him, told him I was concerned. They looked it over and said nothing to worry about, its okay! 3 weeks later, one week to the day out of warranty the transmission did not fail, it scattered! Took it back to them and they said sorry but youre out of warranty. No compensation of any kind. Biggest bunch of crooks rebuilding Transmissions. Learn from my mistake go someplace else!!!

The worse place to get your car fixed I got a used transmission 2 years ago and its going out again never will I go there again to get my transmission fixed if I known it was going to go bad in 2 years I would of went some where else to get fixed it probably been cheaper , they also dont know how to fix breaks I got my breaks fixed the same year I got my transmission fixed they didnt even put the breaks on right had to take my car to them 3 times for them to fix my breaks the right way ..
