Oak Island was recommended by a family friend and we are very happy with the service we received. They were very quick to respond and were up front about pricing and what we needed done. They showed up on time and were very friendly, professional and clean. They had to remove our old ac unit and our old furnace, put in replacements, and replace our ducts throughout the house. They finished it in 2 days! Samson and Nate came the first day and got right to work. Samson and Chris came the second day. Samson was very educational and showed us how to operate the new thermostat, making sure we felt comfortable with how it worked. The house is so cool now- we are very pleased!

I had Oak Island and multiple others provide quotes for my job of replacing the heater and installing new AC. Oak island had a very competitive price and were very responsive to any questions and changes I brought to them. Ultimately I selected a 2 stage Lennox heater and a slimline AC which fits great in my narrow side yard. There were a couple issues with how to run the 220 through the attic (panel and new AC on opposite ends of the house), but they did a great job running it and minimizing the visible components.The work was finished in about a day and a half and cleaned really well afterwards. Id highly recommend them.

Trace and Brian explained what they needed to do and asked me how I wanted the lines to be run. This is something I really liked because I had other work done where the installers just did whatever they wanted without asking for my preference.The crew put on booties before tarping the work area which was something I was not expecting. The guys worked long hours and finished the job in one day as I was told; another installer, Austin, stopped by a couple of times to give them an extra handOverall, I give the crew five stars because they treated my house with respect, cleaned up the work areas, explained the installation and the basics on how the system works and showed me how to use it. We have two huge units for heating and air conditioning and naturally, at the end of July, one A/C unit wouldn’t go on. The automatic thermostat needed replacing and, as soon as it came it from Lennox, they installed it. Then a few weeks later, the other thermostat went out, so it seemed Bill was here off and on all summer. But he is very businesslike and competent and knowledgeable. I have been pleased with Oak Island since they first installed our Air Conditioner 23 years ago. I was noticing that the A/C wasnt working well so I had Oak Island come out for a tune-up. The technician, Bill, showed me the current draw that dimmed the house lights, and recommended replacement of the A/C unit. Cris Young then came out and gave me the estimate for the replacement unit. Cyrus, Brian, Tyler and Patrick then came out and installed the unit and replaced all the vent registers. Three registers were mis-measured requiring Austin to come back to install the mismatched ones. All of the personnel were cordial, professional, and efficient. The only problem was that an appointment was made for Tuesday, 9/22/20 at 10:00 am. When they did not arrive by 1:00 pm, I called the office and found that their first job of the day took much longer that estimated and they had to reschedule for the next day. They were on-time on 9/23, but I would have appreciated a phone call cancelling the previous days appointment.

Gene Clark was on time and on target to identify the installation error and repair the issue timely and effectively -- he is a master tech that Oak Island should never loss -- he should train the other techs to be as effective -- Gene did a great job in diagnosing the A/C unit and describing what he was doing so I knew the issues he was reviewing -- identified the problem and confirmed it was the issue that was causing the problem and he properly repaired -- Gene gave us recommendations on what we can do the ensure the effective maintenance and operating of the unit to get the best long term use.Would like to recommend the Oak Island team -- telephone support for their quick response and sending Gene to help us -- Oak Island rocks

We purchased both our AC and Heating units from Oak Island. We had a fan motor go out on our AC unit and Oak Island went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of through warranty. Excellent service, very responsive and Gene was awesome to work with.

Oak Island consulted with us to determine our needs and price range and walked us through each step in the process of ordering, installing and getting our Costco rebate. We agreed that a two-zone system would be appropriate so that we could control the downstairs separately from upstairs. The system was reviewed by the owner of Oak Island Heating & Air Conditioning and they determined that it also made sense to provide a two speed compressor outside to improve the longevity of the air conditioner and they provided this upgrade at no extra cost!On the day of the install, Gene Clark showed me exactly where the unit would be positioned on the patio outside and only proceeded once we agreed on the exact placement. Most of the work was completed in one day for our relatively small condo but one of the parts was missing to finalize the two-zone system so Gene dropped by early Monday morning to finish the job.Since we live by the coast, just east of Interstate 5, we only recently started using the system as the late summer days here in San Diego County become hotter. Although, initially I was opposed to getting air conditioning when our furnace broke, Im so glad we did now. The hot upstairs that despite a good cross breeze would just not cool down before and now I feel like I am staying at a luxury hotel when I slip into bed at night.Gene and his assistants were very professional and courteous throughout the whole process and I would highly recommend Gene and Oak Island Heating & Air Conditioning to anyone looking for a new HVAC system. We contacted Oak Island Heating and Air to replace our 30 year old furnace and add air conditioning. Their estimator, Jacob provided a comprehensive evaluation of our alternatives, and information we needed to understand available products. We were glad to learn that they were familiar with the limitations of small side yards and could accommodate installation of a slim high compressor. Jacob provided several referrals from neighbors who had slim compressors installed. During the two day installation, one neighbor saw the workers, came over and began testifiying to the great experience he had with Oak Island. Other neighbors confirmed their complete satisfaction with the process and their products.Oak Island sent Chris to our home for final measurements, inspection and more product information. He took a great deal of time to explain the installation process and compile notes and instructions for the project.The installation was within ten days or so of the original contact and took only two days.Our installers, Gene and Dave were on time, efficient, courteous, and left the garage and installation area cleaner that it had been at the onset of work. Overall great experience and service! From initial quote to installation. The team that came to install our new system was very friendly and clean and completed the job on time. Brandon (and Mark) gave the absolute best service we could have asked for. He was very thorough and found and replaced a complete duct run from the main unit to the Master Bedroom that had poor airflow. He checked every vent for proper air flow and replaced the covers on all of them that had been painted over and were difficult to adjust. He meticulously adjusted the angles of the vents for the optimum flow. This was all in addition to replacing parts and wiring etc. He was very pleasant and courteous, they always texted to notify how many minutes out they were before arrival. I would highly recommend them !! Would give 6 stars if I could .

They went above and beyond to make sure our unit was properly installed in one day, and they made sure to get my approval with each step. They were very respectful and considerate at the house, especially considering the current challenges presented by COVID 19 precautions and the fact that we have young children. Could not be happier! I will direct all future residential HVAC needs to them.

My experience with Oak Island has been amazing! The technicians are well-qualified, experienced and very professional. The owner and managers see that customers are taken care of in a very caring and positive way. We first bought our heater from Oak Island and after nine years on a ten year warranty it had difficulties because of the salty beach environment. They did everything they could to see that we were treated well and satisfied. No one could have handled the situation any better. We are now warm and happy in our home.
