If you are looking for an affordable, honest, and amazing HVAC company, look no further than My Guy. They were the first to come out and give us a quote on a new furnace, AC unit, and all new ducts in the attic. Victor was fast, efficient, and COVID safe. Because I like to be diligent, I proceeded to get 4 other quotes. And I kid you not, three out of the four told me something different about the way it would work. All three tried to upsell us or overcharge us on expensive systems that we didnt need. Victors quote at My Guy was the cheapest and felt like the most honest. He was there to answer all my questions for two weeks up to when they actually installed the equipment.Installation was a breeze. Victor and Andres came out to my property and finished the job in 2 days! They included a nice upgraded thermostat, replaced all of my registers at no extra cost, and even fixed a ventilating issue that was not their job to fix (thank you!). They were courteous to us all working and virtual learning from home. They were even patient and friendly to my overly affectionate and excitable dog.At the end, Victor walked us through everything. Gave us a tutorial about the thermostat and helped us understand our systems. These guys are experts and professionals. Long story short, hire them. You and your wallet will not be disappointed!

I would not recommend this business, I had a very disappointing experience with them. In late 2019 they installed a new furnace in our attic, which worked for a little while, but stopped heating sometime in Jan or February. It needed a new part, a wand like device that heated the air. By the time they a new part and installed it, several very cold weeks, the heating season was over. When it started to get cold later in the year, we cranked up the heat, it worked somewhat, but not as it should have, in retrospect. Then I got a $550 gas bill, which got my attention. I called them, they came out and said that, somehow the vent separated from the furnace. They fixed it, left, and denied they had anything to do with the screwup. They were the only people that even went into our attic during that time. I thought this was very disappointing, and called them asking to talk to the owner, still waiting their call six months later.

I’m very happy with my guy heating and air. I bought a new unit from them last year after my old unit from 20 + years ago finally quit working . The team is very professional, from the front office to the techs who install and do repair. They do a great job . If there is ever any problem they are on top of it and easy to contact . I just had my 1st free tune up and Scott the tech did a great job fixing my thermostat and making sure my hvac unit is ready for the hot summer weather . I’m very happy with the new hvac I bought from them and the overall service , value and professionalism of the entire team .

I was referred to My Guy from my real estate agent Pete Casperson who I trust implicitly for good local companies for home improvement needs. He gave me Caleb’s info, the owner of My Guy and Caleb came out to give us an estimate to upgrade our AC/Furnace, replace all our duct work and re-locate our units upstairs. Caleb was great, very easy to talk to and offered me a competitive price. I was not looking for the cheapest but I was also not looking to pay a premium price for this big project. I found My Guy to come in with a fair price for top end equipment. When it came time for install our head installer Storm was punctual and great to work with. He explained the process all the way along and kept our home clean during the process which was important to us. After the work was complete, we had Storm come out to do some minor adjustments and he was again very punctual and made our needs a priority. I think that some companies have a big sense of urgency at the time of install but the service levels fall off big time if you need follow up serve. It has only been a week but I have already referred out My Guy to a neighbor and plan to refer them to anyone in need of their services.

Jared is our service technician. Fantastic young man! He is a very competent HVAC technician. He delivers top shelf performance. Performance that includes engaging the customer, explaining his scope of service. Jared completes the task in an expediate fashion but does not rush. Lastly, he wraps up the service call with a friendly high-level narrative of the steps he executed to complete the job safely and efficiently. Thanks Jared! ...and thanks Carrie!

100% recommend this for any heating or AC issues. Finally, a company who really looks after their customers. They have at least two of the best service tech in all of San Diego county. CJ and Gerrard (hopefully spelled correctly) really made sure everything was running again and kept the cost down. That really means a lot when you have an unexpected bill. Have to say the office staff was impressive as well. Was able to get my appointment sooner and that mattered when I didnt have any heat this winter. I will definitely use MY GUY Heating and Air again for any repairs. In the meantime, they will be out regularly for scheduled maintenance. Great job! You earned a life long customer. If you are looking to add air conditioning to your home I highly suggest using My Guy! The entire process was painless. Chad came out and looked at what we had and was able to give us recommendations on what we needed in order to add air conditioning to our home. He was friendly, knowledgable, and was very COVID safe. Victor and Andres came out to install our new air conditioner. They were both also extremely respectful, COVID safe, and knowledgable. Victor was able to answer all my questions during the installation process and never made me feel like I was bothering him.

Jared from My Guy stopped by on Monday to do a regular maintenance and tune up. The outdoor unit was on the roof and he checked upon everything in great details and explained everything he found. He also helped clean the non-disposable filters installed. He finished the job quite quickly and answered questions I had. My heater wasnt working so I gave them a call. My experience was 100 percent positive, from the initial call to the moment the tech Nicholas left. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Top notch customer service from start to finish. Fair pricing and reliable. Brian our tech did a fantastic job with the diagnosis of our furnace problem. He tried to keep it running for a few more months but in the end we decided on a whole new system as ours was 16 years old and more repairs down the road would be needed. He presented all options and costs in a very professional manner, and it was easy to make a decision knowing all the facts. The installers, Ramiro( and the other 2 gentlemen I did not get names, sorry) arrived on time and were very respectful of our home. They worked efficiently and had the new system up and running in about 5 hours. Dealing with customers myself, I really appreciated every facet of a job well done. They were so good. SCOTT came last week. He was young and smart. Figured out it was dirt. And low freon. Waived the service fee in exchange for a little more cash. Today, CJ came. At the main unit on the property. It was super. I had put the fuse in upside down. Fi ex. He went on to check ther very old unit. We found a dead gecko near the switch and it was pitted and likely to fuse. So again the part was a bit over $200. No service fee. Rare to see a perfect score.

He explained everything. Work areas were spotless before he left! He also saved us thousands of dollars. I just want to say that CJ came into my home and was so kind and helpful and clean!! I could tell that he has a working knowledge about everything in my furnace. He did a great job servicing and cleaning it and showing me all the things that he did which were a lot! He never pressured me to do anything more, but gave me some ideas of what needed to be done in the future to improve things in my furnace. I had my biannual tuneup on my heater. Everything was working great but a couple of days later it was acting funny... but only in the evening. I had just had my AC tuned up the month before, but it stopped working. There was air blowing, but not cold air. I used My Guy Heating and Air rather than the company that did the tune up because of my schedule and the need for a service appointment ASAP. Brian Armstrong was my technician and he was timely, kind and very informative. The service that was needed for my AC unit should have been caught by the prior company, but was not. They didnt clean the unit or provide a screen. My Guy Heating and Air will do that all and more for about the same price. He educated me for the future and I feel much more secure with their service than any prior company. The office is also very pleasant to work with.

This is the second time Ive called on CJ for help. The first time he fixed the pump on the the split at my moms condo. He was incredibly friendly and professional at the same time. He was easy to talk to and explained what needed to be done. He had the unit working again in no time. This second time around, he was as helpful as before, even though this is a busy time of year for him. I told him the problem and he helped me to fix it on my own knowing that it would be quite a long time before someone could get to me with such a small issue. Very knowledgeable and pricing was comparable to other companies. We had previous problems with a different company via our home warranty. I called My Guy and the front desk personal were very nice. They sent over Brian, who discovered several issues and was very thorough; he was here for several hours and emailed me his documentation/photos afterwards. Gave us several options and we opted for a new furnace. Install was smooth and the techs were nice and handled everything with care. We did have an issue with a new furnace that was installed; Brian was here very quickly and fixed the problem quickly, free of charge (was a manufacturer part problem, nothing that the My Guy techs did)! Brian is very nice and knows his craft well! They offer a great service warranty with their installs!

Needed a tune-up on our very old A/C units. Price was very reasonable and Donovan was EXCELLENT!! He was professional, friendly, courteous and extremely knowledgable. My experience with this company, the General Manager Carrie and the Technician Brian has been pretty amazing.My air con was a mess, the previous owner of my house did a lousy installation of a new unit.Not just I couldn’t replace the filter as the access was blocked but the void space underneath the unit was a health hazard bringing all kinds of debris and dust towards the vents.They were easy to communicate, friendly, reasonable prices, on time and finished the job requested correctly.Thank you

I can see why all the reviews are 5 star. Absolutely fantastic service. Email and phone alerts that they are on the way. On time. Donovan is great! So knowledgeable. Explained everything (and I am an engineer, I ask a lot of questions). Gave me options ad we worked out a great plan. Absolutely super service!

He offered full covid prevention on his way over and I let him know we’d keep our social distance. I learned a lot about how our system worked and more importantly how to clean the air inside our home. Took a picture of him to make sure his owner gives him the recognition he deserves. Can’t say enough good things about him and My Guy!!!

Jared is the man!! My wife turned on our A/C unit for the 1st time this summer (almost made it to August!) and the fan didnt turn on. He was servicing our neighbors unit, so I ran over to see if he could check ours out before leaving for his next service appointment. He stopped by and fixed the problem within 5 minutes (one of our boys had pulled the disconnect, so the fan motor wasnt starting). The second best part? He did it free of charge. My Guy has earned my business! Thanks Jared!

My Guy did an excellent job finishing an a/c install that another company didn’t fully complete (drain pans and sealing ducts to attic unit). They later performed an annual maintenance of the a/c units. They were careful to not make a mess. CJ, the technician, did a thorough job, explained things clearly and had a great attitude. I met Caleb, the owner, who seems very dedicated, in it for the long term, and genuinely concerned with customer satisfaction. They have my vote of confidence.

CJ conducting the assessment, was very thorough, measuring each room, inspecting the attic, power available to ensure that the Designed System was just right for my house. On 12/06/18 the My Guy service technician, Donovan T. came to our home to service our 30 year old furnace. He was on time, very friendly and answered all of questions. He gave us all our options, explaining everything to us so we could make an informed decision. Today, we are the happy owners of a new furnace and air conditioning unit thanks to Romero and his crew. Ive had both Donovan and CJ out to service our system and both are wonderful! They are very knowledgeable and provide excellent advice on how to get the best use and maintenance of our system! We had CJ out this morning and he was super! I love how understanding he was about my noisy dogs and inquisitive children! This companys customer service is AMAZING and would recommend My Guy to all! Dont bother calling other places and definitely take them up on their offer to service your system annually - they do all the work, from calling you to schedule, to maintenance on your system!

While looking for an annual maintenance service for our heating/cooling unit, I stumbled across My Guy & their amazing reviews. I contacted them the same day & was able to make an appointment for a little over a week out - on a Saturday, no less! They gave a window & advised that wed receive a call from the tech prior to their arrival. Plus, their membership is only $99 a year for two visits - you really cant beat it.Thankfully, it wasnt all too good to be true. CJ was our technician and, as promised, he called us about 20 minutes prior to arriving. He was friendly, efficient, thorough, & made sure to answer all of our questions about our unit. Thanks to CJ, our unit is running properly & way more efficiently than it was.I would not hesitate to refer My Guy for any of your heating/cooling needs - they are honest, customer service oriented, & deliver quality service!

Caleb was not only a lifesaver on a hot weekend, but he was professional and wonderful to deal with! Answered my call, professionally, on the first ring, was available to come out at 0800 on Sunday morning and was on time. Had our AC fixed and back up and running within an hour. Brian Armstrong, the My Guy HVAC technician was stellar! He arrived on time. Called with a heads-up about 15 minutes prior. He was polite and professional, knowledgeable and courteous of the owners of the home he was inspecting. He provided excellent relevant information and truly went above and beyond. Im sure my clients will be using him in the future and I will definitely hold onto My Guys number for future HVAC needs. I would highly recommend the technician and the company. My Guy is a terrific company. In the middle of a long heat wave, I was able to get a next day appointment. (Thanks to Carrie and a cancellation) Brian came on time the next morning. He got to work right away and the first thing he did was turn on the A/C. Would you believe it…the A/C started working… cold air & all??? I had tried to restart it several times over the last few days and only warm air came out every time!!! I was afraid Brian was going to say it was working fine, give me a bill for the service call, then leave…but, thank goodness, he did not. He found the problem in less than 10 minutes and showed me the parts. One was melted and both were covered in oil. I knew the 30+ yr old system needed to be replaced but I could not afford it. Brian was very understanding and never tried to pressure me into buying a new unit. Instead, he gave my old A/C unit CPR and put it on Life Support with the hopes that it will make it thru the summer. All things considered, the bill was very reasonable. I will definitely be using Brian & My Guy in the future.

Brian came over and a cold and very rainy late day call. Very quickly diagnosed a wiring error from previous contractors who had installed the smart thermostat. Checked heat and air and verified everything worked, and only charged us a minimal fee.What really impressed me about Brian and his service was that even though it was raining and muddy (we had to make multiple trips to the compressor outside the house) he was very conscientious about making sure not to track mud in the house.A contractor who worries about the little things can be trusted with the big things.We now have a new heating and air service team! Brian and My Guy for us!

Brian Armstrong of My Guy Heating & Air arrived on time. He then went step by step through checking the unit. Before each step he checked in with me to explain what would happen next and cost. By signing up for the yearly maintenance service we actually paid less for the repair and will receive two service appointments in the upcoming year. They also had the least wait time of all the other companies I called.

Donovan, the office staff and installation team provide exceptional customer service. We returned from vacation to no heat and feel very fortunate to have found My Guy. Donovan spent considerable time working to resolve the problem and ultimately helping us decide on an optimal furnace replacement. This is the type of company you hope to find.

This company was very responsive to all my questions and were accommodating. I needed my furnace repaired and originally contacted a big name company with all the tv commercials and they showed up and diagnosed my issue (inaccurately) and left me hanging without responding to my calls . When I called My Guy, they came out right away and didnt charge me for a second opinion. They provided an accurate diagnosis of the issue that I was having. The tech gave me all my options and even stuck around to heat my house on the coldest evening in winter. He ordered the parts needed and returned relatively quickly to repair. We have been enjoying our heated home since. Thank you My Guy!

I found these guys on a radio show. Had a feeling they were who they claimed to be: honest, transparent, and reasonably priced. Donavan is my service guy, and hes great. Always puts his shoe protectors on while in the house- even if walking in the front and out the back ! Hes thorough and informative in his explanations. Offers to do small additional things without charge. Checks and double checks. Tells me current state of equipment, and projects when I might want to think about more expensive maintenance - and doesnt try to sell me on changes and upgrades prematurely. Only suggests repairs that are indicated by malfunction or out of spec. Willing to return without service fee even if something breaks he checked out as OK on my bi-annual checkups. Great to have piece of mind knowing Im covered in an emergency, and have someone looking over my shoulder with an eye for small issues before they get to be big expensive ones. Strongly recommend them, and especially Donavan.
