I have worked with and met many contractors over the years- Horizon is superb. I have never seen anything like it. From start to finish – Great.

This winter our heater stopped working in the middle of a deep freeze. Our repair guy couldn’t come until Monday so we called Horizon in a pinch. Such a waste of money. All the kid did was give a diagnosis but did nothing to repair and told us we needed an expensive evaluation to know for sure. He acted really nervous when giving his sales pitch to my husband and I. We were disappointed he didn’t get the heating back on with it being about 15 degrees outside. I now know why he was nervous.There was a simple override switch he could have pushed to get the heat on for the night. He knowingly looked at a toddler and pregnant woman and left us in a freezing house for the night.The next day our regular repair man had the heat going in 5 mins!Months later I now know what the Horizon guy did with his time in our utility room. He labeled every pipe and machine with advertising for Horizon. Hot pink labels with “call Horizon” were everywhere. I don’t regularly examine the utility room so it took a while to nice the blatant advertising job. The other day I found yet another sticker on the hot water heater.Don’t waste your money paying them to advertise in your own home, and getting them to just up-sale you a problem that doesn’t exist without fixing the one that does.I would upload photos but as so mad I cut up all the stickers and labels before posting a review.

The temperature upstairs is fabulous. The old unit did not work nearly as well.

Ever since the new AC was put in the Master bedroom is cooler.

Very happy. We can sleep upstairs now and couldn’t with the old system. It is comfortable throughout the whole house now.

Master bedroom is a bit warmer now, main floor is much more even in temperature. The outside unit is a lot quieter, and I’m so glad we didn’t have to end up moving the unit.

The technicians were so nice, they cleaned up after themselves. The whole time they were working I could tell they enjoyed what they were doing as they were so happy.

Still experimenting with what the best temperature to set the new system at, we did notice it is not so frigid downstairs anymore, and upstairs is super nice.

New system is a bit quieter but feels so much better everywhere.

Temperature is much more even now that we run the fan in circulation mode.

New furnace brings the house to daytime temp in about ½ the time as the old furnace. Everyone was on time. Very pleased overall.

Horizon scheduled my repair appointment for the following day. They are extremely competent and reliable. They also offer an excellent maintenance program for furnace and AC maintenance that is very reasonable and dependable.

Great experience with the Horizon sales and services team. We had entire new HVAC system installed to replace ancient equipment. Out of 3 quotes Horizon was similar in price but exceled in providing information not mentioned in other quotes (like permitting and code reqs), not over-selling or pressuring into unnecessary equipment, and expert installation. Technicians replaced forced air furnace and AC all in one day and did great, clean work

Our furnace was blowing cold air and the temperature was dropping quickly in our house. My wife is pregnant, and we have a toddler, so I wanted to have someone come assess and fix the problem as quickly as possible. It was Sunday, but Horizon was able to come out. After about half an hour looking at the furnace and a phone call to someone, the heat still wasnt working, and we were given this list of charges:$396.34 High Temperature Safeguard$198.00 Furnace Manufacturer Annual Maintenance$122.15 Non-Stock Parts Pickup / Delivery Fee$14.48 Fuel Surcharge/Shop Fee$98.00 Trip ChargeTOTAL: $828.97When delivering the estimate, the tech got really shifty and wouldnt look us in the eye like he was really nervous and new he was ripping us off. He told us he needed to really dig into the furnace and take everything apart to fully diagnose the problem. We paid the trip fee of $98 and passed on the rest of the list... He left us in a cold house.The next day we had a tech from a different company come out. He took the cover off the front of the furnace and pressed two reset buttons...the heat came back on immediately. He was at the house for literally two minutes and the heat was back on. We told him what we had been quoted by Horizon, and he said that the High Temperature Safe Guard that Horizon quoted at $396.34 was actually an $80 part. Our final bill with the second company was just over $200... and, the heat ran fine for a week until the part arrived. No fuel charge, no part pickup fee, no trip fee... just an honest assessment of the problem and easy fix.Either the Horizon tech who came out was incompetent (the tech from the second company said hitting the resets is about a level 2 out of 10 skill level fix), or he knowingly left us in a cold house because of some company policy to up-sell and not fix the problem on the first trip. Either way, Horizon is a rip off. A trip charge, part pickup charge, and a fuel charge? Those are all the same thing with different names.Avoid this company at all costs. They are price gaugers and lack integrity. Based on our experience, their priority is making as much money as possible—not serving the customer. The attempted manipulation we experienced is inexcusable.Update: 7/2/21 - The more we look in our utility room, the more stickers and tags we find all over our appliances. There are “call Horizon” tags hanging off of every pipe and stickers and magnets everywhere. So, seems like the tech spent his time putting these everywhere instead of fixing the problem.

Carolyn and Michelle did an amazing job on the phone helping me to figure out next steps based on my unit after I received a diagnosis and 8000$ estimate for replacing my condenser. We decided the best thing would be to get a second opinion from an expert since the system wasnt close to end of life. Jonathan arrived on time the next day and was able to diagnose the issue correctly and perform the repair and maintenance that was due for less than 900$. I couldnt be happier about Horizons professionalism, expertise and customer/service focus.
