Absolutely horrendous experience. Arrived in the evening to zero cars available across all three agencies under Enterprise Holdings - National, Enterprise, and Alamo. I booked my reservation months in advance, and there was no unavailability notice given.Do yourselves a favor and skip all Enterprise agencies in the future. Know you have a solid chance of being stranded in an unfamiliar city any time you book with National, Enterprise, and Alamo. Their competitors - Hertz, Avis, etc. - may have their own faults, but I have never seen this egregious an instance of poor logistics planning.

Reserved a car weeks ago. When landed received an email and a notification that my car is ready to be picked up. Great! Go to get the car and we have no cars. Here I am stuck at the airport. Ok that is fine. What will National do? Nothing!! They told me there’s options to spend the night in the airport.Update. Returned to airport after being guaranteed a car. After spending hours and a ton of $$ on Ubers once again I am without a car!

I went for a rental last week, and was greeted by a male greeter. He asked of I needed assistance, and I stated that Im okay, I am an executive elite member. I browsed the cars, and came upon a jeep that I liked, and the man ran up to me and said that I cannot take it. I said well, can I upgrade, and he gave me a bunch a round about arguments as to why he can do that, but its a hassle. I told him that Ive been unimpressed with his service, and lately the service at the ELP National center. I have never had such a terrible experience with National. Worst of all, I submitted a complaint through customer service, and no one ever got back to me. Im looking into our company removing ELP National as a service that we can use. Especially since I have hear nothing but complaints from our entire traveling staff.

I have used National Car Rental El Paso Airport 3 times now on business. This last time, after arriving at 9 PM on a Tuesday night, despite having a confirmed car rental reservation with National, they had no car for me. I saw the last customer put his luggage in the trunk of the last car in their lot. They advised me to check with Avis, who also had no cars. So I took a taxi to my in-town hotel and next morning I made calls to National to make sure they could fulfill the reservation my workplace made AGAIN the night before.I had two different answers on car availability that day until I got Lupe on the phone. She confirmed my reservation in the system and insisted I speak with her supervisor Jacob. Lo and behold when I arrived at the airport at 9:15 AM that morning, they had a prestige vehicle ready and waiting for me. I didn’t appreciate it until now 2 days later when I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my commute to work because the ride is so comfortable. They succeeded in erasing the inconvenience of no vehicle availability upon arrival and now I am enjoying my work trip. A shout out to Lupe and Jacob. Thank you for making up for glitches that we all know happen. I appreciate your going the extra mile!

Manager has power trips, Nasty attitude and they canceled my reservation with no explanation. Because of this, I was stranded at the airport for 12 hrs. Not a good way to treat anyone. Let alone, an executive elite member.

This was my first time visiting El Paso and renting from National. They didn’t have the vehicle I requested and allowed me to upgrade. There was a miscommunication where I got overcharged upon exit, but a quick phone call to customer service and I was taken care of above and beyond what I was asking for.Customer service was great and will definitely rent from again next time I’m in El Paso!

Several weeks ago we made a reservation for a specific style truck to accomdate a large amount of luggage. Several days ago we called to confirm the reservation. Today when we attempted to get the vehicle, they did not have what we reserved and had to see what they could do for us. How woefully incompetent must you be to not be able to honor a reservation? Is it hard to keep track of your vehicles? Do you need help? Not a rhetorical question.

Very disappointed. I arrived at the aisle and no cars were available. Instead of moving me to Executive Aisle with cars, the employee directed me to the Enterprise section and picked a car for me. The customer behind me who also was looking for a vehicle in the Emerald Aisle, was promptly taken to the Executive Aisle. Once I returned the vehicle I was charged a road side assistance package that I never signed up for. I asked the manager on duty and the charge could not be reversed due to just returning the car. I called in two days later and had to explain the situation, and I was refunded the charge. Usually I have good experiences at National but this particular location was bad.

Renting from National is always hassle free and thats what I love about them! The flexibility and ease of just being able to walk out, make my selection and go with a drop off procedure just as easy-to-use is Fabulous! Service is always friendly and efficient and they have a great selection of vehicles to choose from. A recent trip required that I extend my rental for a few extra days and it was a simple phone call and I was all set! Thanks National, youre number one in my book!

This site runs well, pick up is easy and fast.Even as a very frequent visitor, the staff is very resistant to renting vehicles that are in sight, with very few options in the near parking area.I usually get an undesireable car because they force with with only one or two options.The cars are usually worn very hard, unclean, not vacuumed, not wiped down and the windshields are filthy. I have rented 25 + times here in the last year, and I always need to wipe the vehicle with sanitary wipes. There are foot prints on the dash, food under the seats, windshields wiped inside with dirty cloths.Check out is a breeze.With the exception of the car choice, condition and dirty feeling, this could be a top notch facility.

Executive Elite with a reservation for a premium SUV and National Car Rental left me and my wife stranded at the airport. My wife in a wheelchair at that!!! We walked up and were told they had no cars; offered no help; just nothing. I just dont get how you can have a reservation and be a top tier renter and the company does not provide their service to you? How can you rent cars as a business and not have a car for the reservations you provide??? The CEO of the company needs to know this. The managers need to be replaced and Nationals policies need to be replaced.

Overall pleased with product and service as Ive been a monthly customer for >3 years. One exception: Had a new Toyota Rav4 (1,300 miles) that had a problem with the battery. I required roadside assistance for a jump x2 before I could drive the 1.5hr trip to return the car. The kicker? National charged ME $55 (x2) for the jump service.Customer service (at airport) position: Once the car leaves our garage its your responsibility. Unacceptable!

I rent and drive National Rental Cars practically every week. Actually much more than my personal car. I am extremely satisfied with Executive area where I can select the car class I want. I have been lucky most times with the selection available when I arrive. The cars are low mileage and are in excellent condition. My only suggestion is to have a better process to clean the interior of the car prior to putting them on the line. No matter the location I rent, this is pretty consistently an issue. They are not filthy but just some of the details I notice. (By the way, I usually end up cleaning the interior but I am admittedly a car cleaning nut).Otherwise I am completely satisfied with my rental experience with National. Thanks

My problem with National are the marketing emails for specials and discounts.Several times I have clicked on an offer, as soon as it was received, and then been told it didnt meet the terms of the contract I was looking for. This isnt true. Dates were correct, everything should have been applicable. When I called National, I was told that sometimes the offers run out. I clicked on that particular one as it came in. There was no time to run out! If I dont qualify for some reason, then leave my name out of the email campaign! If you call, they will keep you on the line for about a half hour but will make the adjustment. On my last trip, I had to make the usual call and when I went to add my husband as a driver (for free as recently advertised to Emerald Club members), I was told there was a charge but theyd waive it because we shared the same last name. On a positive note, most of the people there have been great to work with. Too much frustration though. I think its time to go to Hertz.

Utilizing the Emerald Club I walked through the process of pick up on my reservation. I was shown to the aisle of vehicles and told to take my pick. I picked the one I wanted and proceeded to the exit. Only had to show my Drivers License and because it was with my company my Credit card. That was it no problem. The vehicle was in good shape and clean. I am keeping it for an extended time and out of state. The service was good and I visited the local Enterprise counter as there were no National close by and received good service. I would recommend National and the office at the Airport in El Paso is great.

I recently rented a car in El Paso which they offered a free upgrade because the car i reserved was not available. i ended up having to extend my stay because a covid scare on my husbands job. when i went to extend the rental they would not offer the free upgrade rate and wanted to charge me triple. i had to drive 2 hours from Alamagordo to el Paso to rent a car from another company to save 50% off the rental rate and back. National offered crummy customer service and i am highly disappointed.

I was told to pick any car because of my reservation and when I got to the kiosk I was then told that they had sold the vehicle I choose. So now every customer behind me had to back up and watch me move. Then when I got to the kiosk AGAIN the young lady added automatic half a tank fill up on the car and charged my card. I was in town visiting a family member who was in the hospital. I didnt need any additional stress or extra money taken from my family. This was an awful experience.

Customer service was okay but I reserved a full size car or mid SUV. When I arrived at the time I said I would get in there were no cars at all. I asked the agent in the emerald aisle how can I have a specific reservation but no cars are available. They rented all the cars out without consideration of people with reservations. Luckily someone pulled up with a mid sized car and told me to come back in one day to switch out. There were no cars available again and told me once again to come back the next day. Again no cars were available to fit my reservation. I became frustrated because I felt like I was getting the run around and wasting my time to have to keep coming back over and over again. Fast, friendly, and super-smooth. Very close to terminal and a nice selection of nice vehicles in the Emerald Aisle when I was there. As with almost every US airport Ive been to, the signage for rental car return is atrocious, especially after dark, but thats the airports fault, not the rental agency. Just pay close attention.

I used my Emerald Club membership for the first time in El Paso last week. I could not believe how fast I went from baggage claim to driving away. No front desk, no wait, excellent car!

I am an Emerald Club member and have nothing but superb experiences over the last 3 and a half years with National Car Rental. Unfortunately, during a recent personal trip I took with my family where I reserved two rental cars, Nationals representatives at the international airport in El Paso, Texas, treated me poorly. They questioned why I needed two rental vehicles in a condescending and accusatory manner. When I let them know it wasnt their business and reminded them that I had reserved the cars online as required, they continued to push back. They manager/supervisor on duty did not like that I pushed back by reminding him that I was a loyal customer and that I didnt appreciate his tone and his questions. To de-esclate the matter, I extended my hand and apologized. The manager/supervisor shook my hand, but he did not apologize. I was extremely disappointed.

I wanted a 4x4 truck for this rental and there are always trucks on the Executive isle. Not this time. They helped me go through all the cars to find an AWD vehicle as I needed something that could traverse hills that could get snowy. Thankfully, it didnt snow, but, the experience showed me why I keep using National.

Last time I was there they upgraded me to Executive premier and this time the car that I grabbed off emerald aisle was really an executive premier car that had been put on emerald aisle. I am typically always pleased with National. I really enjoy the fact that I can pick out my own car. I did not give 5 stars because generally smaller airports like this one do not have that option; and, for some reason, they never give me an ugrade at the El Paso location. This last time, however, the counter staff person was super friendly and he also offered a great selection on the car. I loved it! It made my whole trip better. Only criticism is that the key fob was lost which was a pain because anytime I manually locked the car, the alarm would go off when I opened it (no fob). I would still rent it again if I had the choice...convertible:) And I cant say how nice it was to deal with pleasant staff at the counter and during the return! Super fast and super easy.

I rented a new Ford F150 last week. Shortly after driving away, the transmission started acting strangely, in that it was stuck in a high gear (7 specifically). This made for a very strange driving experience, no power, no acceleration, and frankly very dangerous. I had a packed schedule while I was in town and didnt have time to exchange it. A check manual warning and service light came up, when this started to happen as well. I notified the person who checked me back in, and they took $30 off the bill. That said, I dont think that was an adequate discount.

Someone was always close by to help when choosing a car from the right aisle, or to a bag if needed, then had a quick return with again 3 separate people to assist if needed. No waiting. Clean car. National Car Rental @ El Paso Airport is a great place. The people are friendly and helpful. I like the choose your car feature. It’s more personal, rather than having a specific vehicle assigned to you.The only negative I have is the fact that none of their trucks have side steps or funding boards. Since this is the vehicle I prefer, due to my job, it is a feature I would like to see added. I’m up there in years, and not quite as nimble as I used to be, so getting up into a hi-profile pickup can be a chore.I would rate this place as a 9 out of 10.

The National company as a whole appears to be very progressive and is who I use for most all of my business and personal vehicle rental. I really like the Emerald Club design allowing direct to lot access (bypassing counter) and vehicle pick of your choice. Although El Paso doesnt have the direct to lot access (bypassing counter) the desk and lot personnel were very pleasant and helpful.I will say however that while I had my choice of picking my vehicle, I chose a Chrysler 200. Bad choice. I am not a tall person (57) every time I got in or out of the vehicle I hit my head on the roof edge. No matter how I tried to get in or out or move the seat I have to play contortionist to get in and out of this car. My front passenger made the same comment and so did the back seat passenger. Bad design. It seemed you had to kick it into passing gear to climb even the slightest grades. Probably due to the 2.-6-7 (?) liter engine. I understand this vehicle is to be sporty but it was not done correctly.

Picking up the car was a quick and painless process. Finding the car was easy and their were a couple employees walking around to help if needed. The car was clean and operated fine. Drop off was even easier and they were ready with the receipt by the time I got my bags out.

Overall, great service especially if you are an Emerald member. You can bypass the counter and choose your car, which is a really nice and time saving feature. One advise I have, stay away from the refuel option even if you know youll use up a full tank and the rate is cheaper. They quoted my tank at $30 but when I got back, charged me close to $45 without any explanations. I know gas prices hasnt really changed within few days I was there and even if they did, they should of charged the same amount as was quoted. I never prepay for the gas again.

The manager Erica said she would hold me a nice car because when flying in at midnight there are only trucks and soccer vans left in the lot. When I arrived at midnight, the counter agent said Erica never informed him and I could choose between a truck or a soccer van. The same thing happened the previous week with Felipe. Driving a truck isnt as bad as being lied to by the manager in charge.

I travel at least 2x per month and always use National but all the locations need to become standardized for the Emerald Club members so we dont have to wait in line at the counter. Whats the point of being a member? The ELP location does not seem to have any Jeep brand products which is what I prefer. Very friendly staff both at the counter and outside.

This facility does not allow you to select your car which is a huge bonus with renting from National. The car I rented did not have a full tank of gas when I picked it up and the tank was only half full. There was some garbage in the passenger side door and dead bugs in the back window. I picked up the car late at night and had to have it to drive clients around the area while I was in town for one day. Was a little more than disappointed in the condition of the vehicle. I returned the car with more gas than when I rented it as it was not full I could not ascertain how much to put in the car.
